Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another,
preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Accompanying him were the Twelve
and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities,
Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza,
Susanna, and many others
who provided for them out of their resources. Lk 8:1-3

At first glance, today’s Gospel doesn’t seem like Jesus is revealing much.  No miracles, no moving Words from Jesus, and nothing that seems to stir your spirit.  This is the way most of our lives will be, simple.  Jesus had the Twelve and women who were close followers and friends who provided for Jesus.  We, too, have people God put around us to take care of us. Spend each day taking care of those who take care of you.  Live simply, recognizing your role in this life, loving in each little act you do for those God put around you, and strive to live the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Today’s challenge: Live simply.  Sacrifice by putting a rock in your shoe, giving up dessert, or no ketchup or salad dressing with your food to suffer with Christ today, the day He died.

Be a servant, become a saint!
