Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” MT 11:28-39

Jesus is speaking of the Scribes and Pharisees difficult laws they heap on the shoulders of the Jews.  Jesus is asking the people to come to Him who gives the laws that will give them rest in the eternal Kingdom.  Jesus give us the most welcoming words today, “learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart”.  Jesus is meek in being forever patient waiting for us to turn from our sinfulness and be with Him forever.  He never gives up on us, only we give up on us or Him. Second, Jesus is humble.  He continues to submit to the Father’s Will.  He is not prideful or arrogant and He does not boast of His powers as a Divine Person.  He continues to give of Himself for the Father to reconcile us with the Father.  He always puts Himself second and us first.  Oh Jesus, please make our hearts like onto thine!  Imagine how much more peaceful our homes, schools, business places, and communities would be if we were dedicated to meek and humble hearts!  Thank you Jesus for giving of your whole self for us!  We need you!

Today’s challenge: Practice being meek and humble today.  It starts with prayer that turns into action being guided by the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of Jesus.  Each action then is service and the will of God!

Be a servant, become a saint!
