Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus went to the district of Tyre.
He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it,
but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him.
She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth,
and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, “Let the children be fed first.
For it is not right to take the food of the children
and throw it to the dogs.”
She replied and said to him,
“Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”
Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go.
The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed
and the demon gone. MK 7:24-30
The Syrophoenician woman is a non-Jew and a foreigner. She is unclean according to Jewish law. She has not been raised in Jewish ways and does not understand or know about the story of God and His chosen people of Israel. This is why Jesus says, “Let the children be fed first (Jews).” She perseveres, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” She understands that she is not worthy but she believes Jesus has the power to heal her daughter who she loves. Faith consists of trust, perseverance, and humility. As we are about to embark on another 40 days in the desert, we will be fasting, praying, and giving alms. This is a great checkpoint to see how strong your faith is. What parts of your life or sin is leading you away from Christ? Is your faith lukewarm? Are you sitting on the fence? Ask Jesus to increase your faith this Lenten season!
Today’s challenge: Faith begins with hope. Pope Francis said that Christian hope is born in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a belief that begins in your heart. When we realize we cannot do life on our own, we fall to our knees and ask God for help. We then start a journey of faith by seeking Jesus Christ and we sit and begin to learn about Him in the Scriptures. Once we have discovered the joy that Christ brings, we want to share it, which is love.
God, please increase in me faith, hope, and love.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
I believe that God is trying to tell us that love likes to suffer.
because of her strong faith, the womans daughter was able to be healed.
#praise him
Jesus is calling me to make a decision whether to follow him or not. We have to either fully give ourselves or we deny God. We cant be halfway in halfway out. We have to dedicate our lives to Jesus.
I think today´s gospel is telling us that we should have a strong faith no matter what. Even if we are being tempted we should always remember our faith and stay strong
Jesus is telling me today that everyone is important even the people that are different from you. Even people that are non catholic. We should treat everyone with kindness.
Jesus is trying to tell us today that no matter what our problems He can always fix them.
This is telling me that everyone deserves to know the one true God and learn about Him.
I think Jesus can be more the center of my life. I need to be more clean with my words and actions.
We need to be centered on God. Focus on God instead of other things that are not very important.
I read that even the lowest should still get the treatment of a high person.
In faith there is hope. Jesus will always be by your side. Try not to give into temptation. Try to increase your faith about Jesus.
In the reading i found this relates back to the Eucharist, before Jesus enters us we have to wait at least an hour before mass. We should wait to be blessed. Get involved with God and pray. Get to become best friends with him even if it means waiting. Waiting with open many doors for us in the future and maybe open up your heart to God.
All who believe will be saved. It does not matter who you are or where you came from. As long as you put God first and trust in him.
We cannot worship something we do not know.
I learned that even though the women was not Jewish Jesus still helped her and her daughter and go the unclean spirit out of her. I also learned in Mr. Goertz reflection that the women knew she was not worthy but Jesus helped her anyway.
In today’s scripture we learn that we are always forgiven by God no matter where we came from or what our social status is. God will always forgive us and help us be the best that we possibly can be which is by living like Him.
I think God is trying to tell me that no matter how poor or rich you are Jesus will still love you and your possessions don’t come into Heaven with you.
God loves every single one of us even with all of our flaws. Know matter who we are and what we do god will always love us. We have all made big mistakes that we cant take back, like maybe a text or action, but we always have God to go to.
God is very merciful. The readers of this scripture can see this trough Jesus’ actions. In this scripture Jesus wants to be left alone in peace. A woman found him and begged him to take the demon out of her daughter. She is not a jew, so Jesus says (metaphorically) that she should wait here turn. She says (again metaphorically) that even non Jews do what they can. He instantly cures her daughter and tells her to go on her way to see her daughter.
I think God is telling me to not be selfish and share stuff with my brother and family even though I really don´t want to
God is so powerful that those who don´t believe in God know how powerful he is and they fall at his feet for they are so unworthy of him.
God has no favorites and loves all of us fully, no matter what race or ethnic group we are part of. In the time of Jesus, people did not understand this, so Jesus healing the woman’s daughter was very unusual for back then.
this is a good passage to refect on
Jesus is trying to tell me to not be selfish and put others before me in my life.
i think Jesus is telling me in this scripture that i know i am not worthy of Him or anything, but He is merciful, and the woman makes a good point about how the dogs eats the scraps.
Jesus is saying that no matter if we are in a tough time with no food or anything, sick, something , Jesus is here to help us and heal us no matter how he can do that and all it takes to be healed is a couple words or prayer
I think this Scripture passage is trying to tell me that anybody that has a clean or unclean spirit is accepted into the Catholic Church
We must know that we aren’t worthy enough to be healed, but he does it anyway
That we need to have hope to believe in God, and have hope in the Holy Spirit so our souls can get to Heaven.
To me this means that the woman that has the daughter with the unclean spirit, knows that she is unworthy but she believes that Jesus can heal her daughter. Jesus is saying take care of others before yourself.
It surprises me that when the women said that the dogs eat the children’s scraps Jesus dismisses her and heals her daughter. I noticed how even though the woman was unclean and a foreigner Jesus does this for her even when the high priest would probably want nothing to do with her.
This means to change the way we live.
We need to understand that we are not worthy. We need to trust in God.
the demon was let out of the kid-god can forgive everyone
Jesus wants us to know that he loves us
I think I understand what the Scripture is saying but there are parts of it I don´t understand.
Jesus is saying that we all can be healed spiritually and physically if we are willing to give are self up to God and go to mass and confession weekly.
I think that God is telling me that I should not build walls and I should help everyone even if I don’t agree with their opinions and thoughts about the way they live their life. We should teach the Word of God to them and help them go to heaven and see God.
I think this means that I need to be humble. I also think it means that I should humbly give myself up to God.
The shock in this is that God knowing that she’s a sinner heals her daughter because she has faith in Christ.
God is telling us to share our gifts with others.
The woman had great faith and the demon was sent out of her. With God, anything is possible.
Jesus is saying that we need to put others before us. We need to listen and follow God. He is saying serve other people before your self. We need to not be selfish and share what we have with people who are in need. And lastly we need to put God before everything/everyone.
God is telling me to share everything I have to anyone who needs it. Especially family members. I must try not to be selfish in anything that I do, and not complain when I share my things.
This is saying that we should ask God to help us in our every day life and let him come into our hearts no matter what the cost and we should respect children and not take the stuff they have and give it to others
I think God is telling me to help others before myself. To always be aware of other people.
In this Gospel God tells us to not be selfish, and we need to give to one another. Having both your friends, family, or just those who are in need. We should share with all of those, in need, and just give all we can spare to those who are less fortunate to us. As we are naturally selfish, and via following God’s model we can use this to be more holy.
I think this tells me that with God and Jesus, all things are possible, and when we are hurt or need Him. He will help us and forgive us for everything we do and make our souls clean.
God is telling us to not give our selves away to the devil, and keep our selves within God
I believe god is telling us to be faithful towards him no matter if we are from different faith he wants us all come to him…

for me this represents how forgiving God is.
I think God calling me to to do something so I can become a better person
Being selfish can be a very hard thing not to do. Sometimes when it comes to even God, we can sometimes lose it and forget why we are really on this earth. Fullfilling Gods word can be difficult if we cant open the door and find Jesus. FORTNITE is just like being catholic, sometimes you get third partied by a plane. Well God comes into our life like a plane so therefore God basically is everything in many diffrent forms. We just dont know how to spot it
Today, Jesus takes a demon from a girl who didn’t know any better, because apparently, she wasn’t raised to love. Some of us were lucky enough to be raised to love others. Yet, some of us choose not to use this knowledge of love, and the demon comes in through our hearts anyway. These are the dogs, eating the scraps of food. These are the unworthy, but without much thought, Jesus can still forgive the unworthy. He will forgive them with unknowing love
This is telling me that Jesus loves me and he will always forgive me.
As long as we believe, God can heal us.
God doesn´t only heal he also gives advice
I think God is trying to tell us that no matter a difference of belief we should always help those in need. God wants us to help others so in turn they will help someone and it will continue until someone is selfish.
Jesus entered the house wanting no one to know. Soon the woman, who was unclean, came to find Him. Even though she was unclean she still went to find Him to ask him a favor. We must do the same. Even in times in our lives when we can’t find God, we must go find HIm, He is there.
Jesus is telling us to put other first and he loves us
Because of the woman’s faith in Jesus, her daughter was able to be fully healed. This is the true power of God!
God is telling us that love likes to suffer and suffering is love.
We need to not just sit on the fence of faith. We should have all of our faith in God, and his plan for our lives. God forgives all, and we must be willing to let him forgive us.
I think Jesus is telling us that even the lowest share what the mighty have.
I think that God is telling us that we need to be strong in our faith to God.
Jesus is teaching us today that God will help you if you come seeking for him and pray to him
Today, Jesus is showing us the power of love and the power of himself. He is showing us that he has the power to drive out demons and he has so much love for us to do so. We must learn to love him back.
we must choose Jesus willfully he will not make the decision for us. we either chose him or the devil, heaven or hell.
I think that we should have strong faith. We should always follow Jesus an be faithful.
God is showing us that even through the simplest repentance and works of mercy and knowledge can save a persons soul. The little girl who had a demon in her soul, all that had to be done for her was for her mother to repent and the demon was driven out. God is telling us that the smallest repentance for our sin is the greatest things because it is the first step in getting back in tune with God’s love and being able to receive his grace once again.
I think God is saying that we need to focus more on our holy life. If we do then we will have a better chance of going to heaven. Another thing is that God wants us not to worry when something bad is happening and to just trust him.
Jesus is telling me that i should help myself before i help others
Jesus helps those who are discriminated and abused, people that most would not want to associate with. Jesus cares about the woman, the woman whom others disrespect and do not care for. Jesus is loving and kind.
God loves everyone, including people who may not believe in him. He would do anything for us even though we still sin.
In today’s gospel, Jesus is telling us to always believe in Him and we should never lose faith. This is important if we want to attain heaven
I think God is telling us that we should believe in him even when it is hard. Even if we sin God will still love us and help us. He will guide us back to him.
I believe that God is telling me to love everyone. You matter and you are loved!!!!!!!
Love God and he will always forgive you.
I think that no matter what we own God will always accept us for who we are even if we are poor or rich because God loves us for who we are not what we own.
We need to learn how to forgive and that God loves us no matter what.
Jesus is saying to me that his will must be done and not mine. I need to be less selfish and more selfless. It is hard to give up what we want when others need it. you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven with money, so give up what you have.
I think Jesus is saying that I need to help everyone even if they are not of our religion or if I don’t like them I still have to respect them as a person of God.
God is telling me that I need to share my blessings with everyone and to not be selfish.
Jesus is telling me that we need to be kind to everyone. We need to treat people with respect and love. Jesus wants us to spread the word of God through our actions.
Jesus is calling me to love everyone and hep those in need.
i believe Jesus is trying to tell us to believe and spread the message of God.
We have to have a strong faith in Jesus,Mary, and God to be healed and love them as they love us.
What Jesus is saying today is that all are invited to join in His salvation of the world. God didn´t come to save a few, but he came to save all.
Today Jesus is telling me that I am either fully committed to him or i am not there. I either love him or i don’t love him. It is the decisions I make that bring me closer to him.
That everyone deserves to know who the one true God is and that God can do anything.09
Jesus is telling me today to always be grateful for what we have because things could be a lot worse.
I think today’s gospel is telling me that with strong faith in God, anything is possible. If we put our full trust in God, He will grant miracles for us, whether we know about them or not. We must humbly come to God and submit ourselves to Him.
Jesus is showing that anyone can be healed if we only ask Him to heal us.
Jesus is calling us to be humble and to preservere when we hit a bump in our faith.
We have to decide whether we want to follow Christ or not. We have to make the decision of believing in him no matter the cause. God is forgiving in so many ways. God loves us so much. Since the woman had strong faith, her daughter was able to be healed.
Today God is telling me that in our lives we’re going to suffer and there is no way around it but it also requires putting our loved ones first because the mothers love for the daughter healed her.
God is telling me to never worship anything we don’t know and that he always knows what is best for us.
We need to trust Jesus because he can perform many miracles and can cleanse us of sin.
Love the lord!!!
I think God is telling us that we just need to ask God and he will fix it if it is in his will. I think that he is also saying that if we truly believe in him he will help us.
I think that God is reminding us that he will heal us and forgive us
I think he is telling us that if we trust him and if it is his will when we ask him for something or to fix something he will.
God loves us all He does not care where we come from or what we look like. He just wants us all to love Him like He loves us.
God says we should treat the lowest the highest.
We need to ask for Gods help everyday no matter the circumstances.
God wants us to forgive all types of people.
Happy valentines day ya heard !!!
We need to share our gifts. Whether they are our time, talents, or our treasure. We also need to share them will every one.
The women knows that she doesn’t deserved to be helped but her faith in Jesus helps her. We should all have a strong faith with God so we can have help/ eternal life.
Jesus is telling us he will forgive the sins of anyone as long as the choose to follow him. Jesus is also telling us to be a better person so we increase in the virtues of faith, hope, and love.
I personally think Jesus is saying that instead of praying or hoping the best for our self and our needs, we need to not be selfish and to pray and hope for others. We need to ask Jesus tell heal us, but to also help and heal others.
If we have a strong devotion to God and are good Catholics and pray a lot, then Jesus will cleanse us.
I feel that Jesus is telling us that we need to trust in him always and that we are all equal and we should all be treated the same no matter age or color
I think that through this passage Jesus is trying to tell us that we need to remain faithful in him, especially when we are struggling with something like friendship or school. We have to believe that God will help us in our times of difficulty and desperation.
Today, Jesus takes a demon out of a girls body. She was not raised with love so she had a demon inside of her . He said ” let the children be fed first.”
We need to be humble and be closer to God, because God loves us and he has no favorites. This passage is also telling us to trust God and to love him with all of out heart.
Jesus is saying that if you have faith in Him and ask Him he will heal you.
I think what the scripture means is that we need to trust in God and he can fix anything. We also need to know that we are unworthy of God and to have faith in him.
have faith in the Lord, trust in God, if you do this anything is done. If you just believe enough, trust in Him enough, worship enough for love not show, we could do anything. Believe and it will be done, have faith and God will do anything for you.
Jesus is telling me that even if you are a sinner he still loves you. He will always be there for you when you’re lonely. All you have to do is pray.
What Jesus teaches today is that everyone no matter what can come to him and he will lovingly help you with anything you need help with.
A woman finds Jesus in her house and begs him to cure her daughter. She also asks for forgiveness because she does not understand the church teachings. This shows that if we come back to God with our full heart and trust in him though we can’t see him with our own eyes he will do good things for us.
