Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Peter approached Jesus and asked him,
“Lord, if my brother sins against me,
how often must I forgive him?
As many as seven times?”
Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.
That is why the Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king
who decided to settle accounts with his servants.
When he began the accounting,
a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount.
Since he had no way of paying it back,
his master ordered him to be sold,
along with his wife, his children, and all his property,
in payment of the debt.
At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said,
‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.’
Moved with compassion the master of that servant
let him go and forgave him the loan.
When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants
who owed him a much smaller amount.
He seized him and started to choke him, demanding,
‘Pay back what you owe.’
Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him,
‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’
But he refused.
Instead, he had him put in prison
until he paid back the debt.
Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened,
they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master
and reported the whole affair.
His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant!
I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to.
Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant,
as I had pity on you?’
Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers
until he should pay back the whole debt.
So will my heavenly Father do to you,
unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart.” MT 18:21-35
Forgiveness is hard. As I continue to try and fight sin, I realize God’s love and mercy for us is beyond understanding. God continues to forgive us, if we are sorry from our heart, which means we will leave confession with the intent to stop the sin in our life (repent/conversion). Pope Francis said, “God never tires of forgiving, we tire of asking for forgiveness”. We need God’s grace. Jesus is waiting, I thirst. He is waiting with an ocean of mercy. God’s mercy is bigger than sin. We must never tire of fighting sin and asking for God’s mercy when we fall. Jesus died for us to repent and change our lives. This is a long and difficult process which involves fasting, prayer, coming to know God in the Scriptures and developing a relationship with Him.
Most importantly, we must ask Mary to intercede for us and protect us from evil in her mantle. I am still going back to confession for some of the same sins I have had since I was younger. Other sins, with God’s grace in the Eucharist and Reconciliation, I have overcome. Forgiveness is hard. God’s mercy is generous and can never be outmatched. In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us if we want this mercy, we too must forgive. Ouch! My pride usually wins when it comes to forgiving or asking for forgiveness. Our homes, schools, and communities would be much better if we forgave more. Forgiveness is hard and we usually need to forgive those closest to us. Fr. Jacques Philippe teaches that we are chained to the person we need to forgive or ask for forgiveness from. The hardest things in life often have the greatest rewards. Today, Jesus reminds us forgiveness is essential to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Today’s challenge: Forgive and ask for forgiveness to prepare your soul for the Kingdom of Heaven. Forgiveness is for-giving! Give it often! Pope Francis, “Say Please, Thank You, and I’m Sorry everyday”.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Even if we are wronged but we did wrong we still need to forgive no matter what they did too you. We are in this life to love and respect each other.
We should be forgiving of others like God is forgiving to us. God forgives us not matter what we do, so we should show the same amount of compassion to everybody and forgive them for what they have done wrong.
Jesus is telling me today that he will forgive me with what ever I do, but I have to also forgive people for what they do to me. I can’t hold in the forgiveness because that is not what God has done to me.
Our Lord´s mercy is infinite. If we can forgive someone for a petty crime against us, we probably don deserve to be forgiven by God and go to heaven.
# praise him
This passage show us that we need to be patient and forgive people. It also show us to be thankful for what we have because when someone forgives us we should then try to become a better person and learn from our mistakes. It also shows that God will always forgive us no matter how big the debt is so we should forgive others as well like he does with us.
This is showing me that no matter what someone does to me I should always forgive them because no matter what I do God will always forgive me. This show that I need to be more forgiving like God.
I learned that God will always forgive me no matter what. But we need to learn to ask for forgiveness. We also need to forgive others more. God’s grace is endless and he will always forgive me. I need to learn to forgive others more as well.
We need to forgive others so that we may be forgiven. It does not matter how much we forgive others, as long as we do it all the time so that we may be forgiven.
I learned that we need to forgive and not be like the servant in the story.
In today´s gospel it´s telling me that I should go out by example of what is good. In the gospel the man was forgiven for his debts but did not go out and forgive others for their debts to him. I think that if someone does something for me and it makes me feel good about myself or if it brightened up my day then I should go out doing the same for other people to share that joy. If someone shows an act of kindness to me it is like me seeing God work through them. I want to have people see me that way too.
I think it is hard for people to forgive because of our pride we are all very prideful people and forgiving someone takes away some of that pride that is why I think it is hard for us to forgive.
Jesus is trying to tell me that I should forgive even if somebody does me wrong. If that person keeps doing it, I should still keep forgiving. Jesus knows its hard for many people but he knows everyone has it in them.
Our fallen human nature makes it hard for us to forgive because of our pride. We need to follow Jesus’ example to forgive others as he forgives us.
Gods forgiveness is two fold. we must want to be forgiven and we must also forgive. if we do not forgive we will not be forgiven. it is hypocritical to want to be forgiven and yet not forgive. God will forgive us if we forgive others. In the our father it is stated “And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
I learned from today’s scripture is that I need to forgive others and deep in our hearts we need to truly forgive one another. God will always have mercy to everyone, He loves everyone unconditionally and so He will forgive everyone who are truly sorry deep in their hearts.
Jesus is telling me that forgiveness is the way to live out our Holy Catholic faith.
God forgives us no matter what we do so we need to let go of grudges and help people be a better virsion of themselves
Today tells us to forgive others and to be humble even if someone keeps messing up. Have respect for others and forgive them even when they have done wrong. Have self-control and forgive and as for forgiveness. Be humble with others.
Jesus in this parable is saying that the only way to get to Heaven is if we forgive our brothers and sisters. Now I think this means in a more broad sense that some would think. Back then they were really broad when they said brother. In the bible it mentions Jesus´s brother James. We believe James is a cousin of Jesus. So we need to forgive all of our relatives and friends. Our friends are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Now we should always forgive our parents and those who have authority over us because that is the fourth commandment.
I already know this but when you are forgiven you should not just go away and do it again later.
God forgives us so we have to forgive others.

Though it may be difficult to be kind, honest and forgiving, we should always strive to be these people who do these actions, even when it’s difficult to do. Don’t let your relationships die to selfishness, it’s not worth it, money and objects are replaceable, not people.
God is telling us that we must forgive others. None of us are perfect. We as humans all sin so we must be patient with others so we may be understood and others will be patient will us. God doesn´t ask us to be perfect. He just wants us to try
I think Jesus is telling me to forgive everyone not just the people who forgive me but everyone.
God is telling me to forgive people who hurt me so that God will forgive me when I die and go to purgatory. if I don´t forgive then God will send me to Hell.
This is telling us that we need to know how to forgive even when it can be hard to do.
God is trying to say that we are his children and that we should just listen to what he has to say and what he has to say is very very wise, so we should listen to him.
We must forgive everyone, no matter what it is they might have done to hurt us.
God is the Master and we are the servant. Does he not forgive us and let us back in love with him every day? Does he not allow us to give up our time to reduce the amount of time in Purgatory we must do? Then why do we hate our brother, the one sitting next to us? We should love like God loves us and forgive like God forgives us, “For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.” – Matthew 7:2. These are words of truth and we should live by them. If you judge the person next to you, you will be judged the same.
When we ask God for forgiveness, he forgives abundantly. We are called to forgive one another because we would want the same, and we are not perfect in any way. Forgiveness is a huge key to the success of your life. It is wrong to hold a grudge; they can make you miserable. Forgiving others and even yourself will get you one step closer to the direction of heaven. We should forgive as He does. It feels good when people forgive you, but when they don´t and you are truly sorry, it hurts. Do unto others as you would want them to do to you.
This is telling me that like Jesus, I should forgive everyone because that is what Jesus would have done. It is also telling me that if I want to go to Heaven I should forgive everyone.
We are like the servant who had a huge amount of debt that could never be paid back. Jesus forgave us of our debt. Then we turn around to get what’s ours from someone else. Instead we should be like Jesus and forgive others as well.
Jesus is trying to tell us that we need to forgive and forget. We shouldn´t hold grudges against people.
We can never repay God for all He has done for us; there is no possible way to repay someone giving their life for you. All God asks of us today is to forgive our brothers and sisters. That is not so hard in comparison to giving your life away. We need to stop holding grudges and learn to forgive and ask forgiveness from those you have hurt. That’s the least we can do for God. Treat others how you want to be treated.
We need to be forgiving and respectful to all people that we know and meet. It is very important to be forgiving like Jesus was.
God is telling me to always forgive people, no matter what they may do to me.
Jesus is telling us that we must always forgive others. We are only hurting ourselves when we don´t forgive others
The bible verses above are so inspirational to me because people can’t forgive each other for the simplest things and it makes me so mad. But the king forgave him for the large money he owed him.
Forgiveness is a quality that we all need to have. It is very essential so that we can get to Heaven
Although forgiving someone can be hard, we should pray and ask God to help us forgive people. We can forgive other people as an act of kindness and offer it up because God forgives us for anything. We should ask him to help us learn to forgive and not hold grudges.
I think that Jesus us telling us that no matter what someone has done we should forgive them
We have to forgive everyone because sometimes we sin and need forgiveness and we can’t get into Heaven if we aren’t forgiving.
We all need to learn to forgive. Grudges should not be held against one another.
The scripture today is trying to tell us that we should treat others as we want to be treated. It is unjust to be forgiven and then not to forgive other people.
Today God is telling us that we need to forgive other. Even we do something wrong God still forgives us. This what we should do when someone has hurt us.
Forgive and you shall be forgiven.
We should forgive others as God has forgiven us. We have wronged God in so man ways and he still forgives us. Why can´t we forgive others who do small things to us when God can forgive even the most horrible thinks we do to him? We hold grudges over the smallest and stupidest things. I pray that God will teach me how to forgive as he has forgiven me. Maybe people are not always the kindest, but we need to find it in our hearts to forgive them for everything they have done to us.
We need to always be willing to forgive others because if we forgive God will forgive us.
Jesus is telling me that I need to always forgive others, and that no matter what they did to me God always forgives me so I need to forgive that person.
God tells us that unless we forgive those who hurt us we wont be allowed into heaven.
Jesus is telling us He will forgive us if we go to Him, so we must be wiling to forgive others.
If you forgive others and ask God for forgiveness you will be forgiven.
God is very forgiving and we need to strive to be forgiving. If we want to get to Heaven someday we need to forgive everyone who has wronged us.
I think Jesus is telling us that we ask for forgiveness than he will forgive us abundantly. Also that we should not be afraid to die because when we die we should be able to ask for forgiveness and then shall go to Heaven to be with God and Jesus. Also he is telling us that we must always try our best to forgive and forgive others and that we are only hurting ourselves when we do not forgive others. Also that we should forgive others because that is what Jesus did and would do if he was in our place. Also that Jesus died on the cross because God forgave us so it would take away our sins so he forgave us so that means that we should probably forgive other people.
Jesus is telling me that I need to always forgive others even if it’s hard. If we want to get to Heaven then we must forgive each other.
God is telling us that even though we get tired of confessing our sins, he doesn’t. He wants us to go to confession for us to get closer to him, so we can make it to heaven.
Jesus forgives us and so we need to be more like him and love and forgive everyone around us.
I think God is telling us that no matter what we need to forgive people because if we forgive we will be forgiven. We should say sorry if we want people to say sorry back. It might not be the easiest thing in the world to do but we need to do it. We also need to say thank you.
I learned that God will always forgive me but I have to be willing to forgive others so that I can get to heaven. So we should alway forgive people.
It’s sad that we fall over and over again but do almost nothing about it. We have to have a physical deterrent, it seems, to stop doing what is wrong and get the idea that we need to stop. With this said we can also be shown not to do something by how we act. If we act with respect, others will see this and, hopefully, relies that they are doing something wrong and decide to stop. If we forgive they might feel how this is good and they might forgive others and so on. No matter how much we fall, we will be forgiven.
I learned that in order for us to be forgiven we must be forgiving. Its not right if we expect someone to forgive us for something wrong we might have did, when we can’t forgive others for the things they might have did wrong.
We need to learn to forgive each other. Most times we hold grudges against people who have did something wrong to us. We need to learn to forgive, even though it’s hard too. What’s crazy is God has forgiven us so many times at confession. He forgives us everyday for what we did wrong, but we can’t forgive other people? We have to learn to love and forgive each other no matter what, even if it hurts. When we commit a sin, it hurts God. No matter the cause, God forgives us because he loves us so much! We need to learn to forgive and forget.
God is telling us that even though we get tired of confessing over and over again, God doesn’t get tired of it. He wants us to grow closer to him by confessing our sins, to make it to heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is telling us that we can’t just be holding grudges for the rest of our lives, he died for us don’t you think we can at least do that. We have to love ourselves and our enemies, forgiveness and love is the key to a happy life.
Jesus is telling us today that we need to be forgiving and to not hold grudges.
This is telling me to always forgive no matter what someone might of done. That when we do something bad God forgives us so we need to forgive.
