Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
The angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David,
and the virgin’s name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said,
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.”
But she was greatly troubled at what was said
and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
“Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
But Mary said to the angel,
“How can this be,
since I have no relations with a man?”
And the angel said to her in reply,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Therefore the child to be born
will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative,
has also conceived a son in her old age,
and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.”
Then the angel departed from her. LK 1:26-38
In Scott Hahn’s book “Joy to the World”, he writes about angels being very present as God brings His Son into the world. The angels appear to Zechariah, Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, and many other Old Testament figures. They are God’s messengers, pure Spirits, highly intelligent, and God loves us so much He gave each one of us our own angel to protect us. When is the last time you talked to your guardian angel? When is the last time you asked God for a miracle? They happen every day and God is present everywhere all of the time. We are reminded of this during Christmas. Emmanuel means “God is with us”.
Jesus says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” MT 28:20
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” MT 18:20
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” JN 6:35-40
Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day. The key: holiness. What is holiness according to St. Louis de Montfort, deny yourself. Bishop Barron quotes, “I’m most myself not when I resist God, not when I try to become God, but when I surrender to God.” The key: do the Will of God.
God gave us His Son to reconcile us with Him after the Fall of Adam and Eve. The statement I begin with every blog is, “Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.” Why? The center of the message of Christ coming into the world, during His life, and when He dies is do the Will of the Father. In the Gospel today, Mary says,”Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. Then the angel departed from her.” LK 1:38
God chose Mary to be the instrument to bring His only Son into the world. On the cross, Jesus asks us to bring Mary into our homes (lives) speaking to John. It is only right for us to ask Mary to intercede for us and bring our souls closer to her Son, so we too may enter into God’s glory. In St. Louis de Montfort’s, “Total Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary”, he claims this consecration is the quickest way to holiness. Therefore, as we begin to humble ourselves before God, submit our will to Him like Jesus and Mary, we will begin to become holy. “The Divine became human so the human could become Divine.”-St. Athanasius
Allow God into your heart this Christmas and worship Him with all of the angels. Miracles will abound!
Today’s challenge: Give your heart to God by doing His Will. It requires sacrifice and patience, but sacrifice brings joy and peace. He has given us His all, it is only fitting we give our all to Him!
Be a servant, become a saint!

I can apply this to my daily life by listening to God when I pray. Also I need to pray more to God so I have something to listen to.
I can reflect on this Scripture by doing what God wants me to do, because God knows best.
This passage tells me that everyone should obey God, even when it’s hard. And that I can show Gos to others through me.
can also read books on the saints and go to daily mass.to give God my heart i can wait before i get on elotronics and watch tv,i can also read books on the saints and go to daily mass.
My take away from this is that you should believe and trust in God in the toughest times, and never doubt him. Mary was confused and kinda scared, you must have Faith to get through situations that are confusing, or hard. God knows what is best for us and we have to listen to him and make the best choices.
What I can take away from this is that I need to let Jesus take control of my life and do as He wants me to do. I usually do what ever I want and don’t listen to God when I think I am right even though I’m wrong.
I can reflect this on my life because if God were to tell me something that I didn’t want to do, I should trust God because he knows what’s best for me. Something I do can be something God doesn’t want me to do but something I want to do. So listening to God will help me threw life.
I can apply this to my life by listening to God and trusting that he will make the right decision for me, and trust that the Holy Spirit will guide me to heaven.
Mary is going to be Jesus’ mom. And she is scared.
I can apply this to my life by letting God guide me. By giving myself to him and to trust him to lead me to no wrong.
The fact that makes this scripture amazing, is that Mary was so young but she was so holy. She was so young yet she still believed that God was going to guide her to have the baby Jesus.
We must apply this to our lives by remembering to trust God in what he says God is not the father of all lies. He is truth he can not lie. It does no good for us to not believe in him. It is not possible for him to lie. We must love him with all our heart and stay faithful to God. We must remember to do his will even when it is the hardest.
We have to bring Jesus in to our lives and hearts and get closer to Him. Miracles happen all the time, we just have to open our hearts to them. Jesus is telling us to submit our will to Him. We need to sacrifice and be patient in order to have joy and peace.
In today’s scripture an angel came to Mary and said that she would bear a son and would call him Jesus, and that her cousin Elizabeth conceived a child and that it was the sixth month into her pregnancy. God is calling us to trust in him and if we trust in him good things will happen to you or, like Mary to her cousin.
we need to wait for Jesus’s second coming and to be patient. He can come anytime and we need to be ready and we need to WAIT.
We need to be ready for Jesus’ second coming. He can come anytime so we need to be ready for Jesus and trust God.
Today I think the scripture is telling me to be ready. “Stay awake, for you do not know the hour when the Lord will come” is what I will be reflecting on. This is important because while other people (much like me) will be distracted with earthly, material things, others will be ready, focused on God and have already opened their door to Him. I will try to be like the 10 wise virgins who brought flasks of oil, instead of the 10 foolish virgins. God is telling me to pray more than I do today, and to remember that He is big and we are small. I feel like God is pushing me to go out of my way to spend time with Him.
While this gospel passage is made on Mary (Read my comment on Dec. 12), but now I want to focus on Joseph. Now, if you didn’t know, not once does Joseph speak in the bible, even when it was his time to shine in the bible (Mt 1:19-24; Mt 2:13-15, 19-22). He accepted the fact that Jesus was not his son. It may look like it, but he knew that. It’s not another one of those, “Son you’re adopted” memes that pop up every now and then. I’m dead serious. He could’ve talked away like in Job, but he stayed silent. Which kind of ties into when Jesus said nothing to the Jew’s-whatever-they-call-him.
This passage shows us that we must not be afraid of what God has in store for us. Instead, we should accept and bear it willingly. We must also ponder what vocation God is calling us to. This may be hard at first, but we must bear this cross, and not be afraid of what is in store for the future.
I can apply this scripture to my life by praying to my guardian angel to protect me from all harm
This passage tells me that we need to believe in God even when its hard to believe. We need to have faith in Him and trust that He and the Holy Spirit will guide us through our journey.
I can apply this to my life by listing to God like ,Mary beveled Gabriel.
This scripture is perfect because we are getting closer to Christmas and God is getting ready to come into our lives. In this passage Mary is scared because she has no idea of what is happening and she is 14 which makes it even scarier. But the angel is reassuring her that nothing will be impossible with to God.
What I can reflect on it is how I can put Jesus before me.
I can apply this to my life by listening to God, and what he has to say.
God loves us and wants us. We are scared of what God has for us but he loves us
I can reflect on this scripture by listening to God and doing his will. If God wants us to be something that we don’t like it is probably for the best of us and he knows that you will be happy with what he has chosen for you.
I can apply this to my life by doing what God tells me to do everyday and find my vocation
We need to allow God to use us to do his will, his plan. We need to trust God and our Guardian Angel. To prepare ourselves for Christmas we must allow him inside us.
We need talk to our Guardian Angel and ask them what we need to do to say yes to God. If we let God into our boat, our life will be much better.
I can apply this to my daily life by realizing that Mary was willing to take the Son of God under her wings as the Mother of Jesus, I need to use this to realize that when we consume the Eucharist we are housing the true Body of Christ and not just bread so we need to act that way.
God is almighty he can do anything no matter how big or small. “Ask and you shall recive” The comandments say meaning God will give what he is asked of if it is his will.
I can apply this to my life by bringing Jesus into my life and letting him talk to me.
This tells us that everyone should obey God and let him guide us
This scripture passage tells us we should trust in God just like Mary did. It is amazing that she was so young but trusted that God would help her through those hard times.
We must talk to our Guardian Angel everyday, so they may be able to help us make the right decisions for our life and protect us from temptation.
I can apply this to my life by doing what God wants me to do. God knows what He wants to do with me. I need to be patient and wait for his response. I need to follow what God wants me to do even if I must sacrifice something.
In today’s scripture, Mary is talking to the Angel Gabriel. He came down upon her and asked her to become the mother of the Lord. Mary believed and trusted in God. If we put faith into the Lord then we will never have to be afraid. We shouldn’t disregard what the Lord is trying to say to us. We need to stay ready and be prepared for what we need to do.
Today’s scripture is telling us to be ready, for we do not know the day or the hour the Lord will come. I can apply this to my life by being ready and not getting distracted by other thing’s that don’t make me a better version of myself. I also need to start being more responsible for myself and not thinking others will provide for me.
I can be patient for the Lord’s second Coming. When he comes, I need to follow Him even if I must sacrifice something in my life. Lastly, when I pray, I can ask for Mary’s intersession.
I think this is telling me that I need to give myself completely to God and to do whatever he asks of me.
In this scripture, God is telling me to always trust in him and good things will happen. Mary accepted Jesus and he saved the whole world.
God is our rock. He has saved us and he is here for us through our sometimes tough journey. If anyone knows what hard times are, it is Jesus. He is here for us so we can do our best to do God’s will.
We need to say yes to God like Mary did. She wasn’t afraid of saying yes even though she wasn’t what laid ahead
We should follow Mary’s example and obey God’s Will. Nothing is impossible with God. As an example, even though Elizabeth was a very old woman, she gave birth to John the Baptist. Also, it’s a good idea if we’re scared or in a difficult situation to ask our guardian angel to help us.
I can apply this to my life by letting Jesus be the center of my life. I can be like Mary and say yes to him no matter what and allow Jesus to be apart of my life.
We need to be patient with Jesus and know he is always there for us and if Mary can wait for him we can all as well. We can always pray to him because we know he is always with us
Mary accepts God’s plan for herself. She knows it is what is best and that it is what God wants for her. We can’t plan out our lives, God has a plan for all of us and it is filled with many things we didn’t think would happen.
We should always trust in God and follow his orders. He knows what’s best for us and Mary shows us that we shall trust in God. Mary, His mother, says to always listen to what He says because good things will come to you if you listen.
We must be ready for God’s calling for us. When he calls us we have to accept. We must stay reverent because we never know when he is going to call for us. No matter what he calls us to do, we know that it’s the right thing.
Mary is accepting of what God wants of her. She is setting an example for us to do what God wants us to. We are to do what God wants us to to fulfill his will.
God created everything, how can we doubt that the will he has for us can be wrong? He loves us, more than any human ever could. We are human, and we think “We’re so independent. We don’t need a God.” but we are wrong. Mary saw through all of the lies the devil told her. She said yes. She knew she would be ridiculed, “a child outside of wedlock? Who does she think she is?”, “a child of God, ha, no way you must me joking!” she had to know that those types of whispers would run rampant, but she said yes anyway. Just as Mary trusted in God, so should we.
Mary said her “Yes” to God. We should also always say “Yes” to God because everything happens for a good reason. We need to put our will with God’s Will to be sanctified.
This passage is about the Annunciation. Mary has been chosen the bear the Son of God. Instead of saying no, in fear, She says yes because she trusts in God. We need to learn from this and trust in God and not say no if we are scared. Mary trusted in God and brought forth Jesus the Son of God.
We must obey God whenever he tells us to do something for him. No matter how difficult or easy it might seem, we must do it to the best of our ability no matter how long it takes. I can apply this to my life by excepting the challenges God gives me.
This tells me to trust in God . This also tells me that even Mary was afraid. I could apply this to my life by trusting in God. I could trust in God by listening to him instead of the world.
In today’s scripture, it is saying to me to do GOD’s will not mine. It is almost always, I want this, I want that, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want. Enough! We are not here to do our will, but God’s will “Thy Will be done”. In this scripture, Mary says yes to God. We can ask Mary to say yes to God, follow his will, and be with Him forever in heaven.
We should all obey God and listen to him. We should realize that God sacrificed everything to help us. The least we can do is pray and grow a relationship with him.
He is always here to lift us up on our last day we should honor Him with all of our heart.
We as a human race need to believe that God loves us and will never forget about us. Jesus died so we won’t forget about God. We need to learn to go to confession so we can be reunited with God.
Let God into our hearts no matter the problem
Even though Mary had the choice to say “no”, she still said “yes”. She trusted in God. We should always put our trust in God. Our whole trust in God.
“He will rule”. God fulfilled his prophecy. Jesus is truly the son of God and the son of man.
This scripture is saying to me that, we need to follow and talk to God as much as we can and ask him for help with any difficulties.
We need to remember to keep God in our life no matter what happens. We need to give God the map and have him lead us. God gave us his son us from our sins.
This is saying that you need to always trust in God. He has a plan for everyone and if we follow His plan then we will go to Heaven with Him.
I can apply this to my life by listening to what God have planned for me. I should listen to my Guardian Angle.
This Scripture passage is trying to say that God and our guardian angel is always with us. God and our guardian angel are trying to help us get to Heaven, so we need to give our heart and life to God.
God has a plan for everyone of us. Before even our great-great-great-grandparents existed he knew what we would do with our lives. He has a plan it’s just a matter of if we follow it
The Scripture is trying to tell us that God and our guardian angel is always with us. God and our guardian angel just wants you to go to Heaven and be happy. That means we should make God the center of our lives.
Today’s scripture is telling me that we need to bring Mary into our homes. We need to have a closer relationship with Mary. We need to pray to Jesus through Mary. We are not praying to Mary but we are praying to Jesus through Mary. We need to pray the rosary and focus on the seven sorrows of Mary. If we just pray seven hail Mary’s everyday Mary promises us that she will help us and guide us everyday in our lives. If we ask for something from Mary she will grant it to us if it is God’s will.
We need to be open to God’s call. If we do what we want and not God’s plan it won’t make us happy. I’m going to apply this to my life by praying for my vocation and making sure i know what he wants me to do.
This is the day when Mary learns she is pregnat with Jesus. She was very confuesed because she never had sex and can’t have a kid. I need to remember that God can do anything to us. He made mary have a kid and Elizabeth have a kid as well. God can make anything possible
I can reflect on this by always doing what God wants me to. For example If God wants me to give to the poor I will try my best to give to the poor. Another example is that if God wants m to do something easy like make dinner than I will cook dinner for my family if its not to hard.
What I can take away from this is that I need to be more submitting to God’s will and JUST SAY YES.
I can apply this to my daily life by listening and praying to God. I also need to pray more to God, and listen to what he is saying.
I can put this into my life by accepting God’s will for me like Mary did.
i can apply this to my life by listening to God and whats he calls me to day in my daily life. He knows what’s right and what’s wrong.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that Mary was approached by God and still remained faithful. I can try to be open to God’s calls like Mary was. Although she may have been nervous or scared she placed trust in God to take care of her. I can always try to put more faith and trust in God to lead me.
We should trust in God’s word. She listened to God took his son as her own without any reward or anything. We need to listen to God even when it gets tough in our faith. We need to come back to God.
I can apply this scripture passage to my life my trusting in God’s will for me. I could also try to be more patient.
The thing that I take from this is that we dought god and are scared of him but we need to trust in him.
I can let God steer my life and I will follow. He wants us to know that nothing is impossible and that he is all powerfull.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that God is in charge and trusting in him.
This scripture is telling me to to believe in God and accept him into my boat. Mary was probably really confused and scared, but she trusted God and let him into her boat.
God is telling me to pray more than I do today, and to remember that He is big and we are small. I feel like God is pushing me to go out of my way to spend time with Him.
In today’s Gospel it is saying that our angel’s our guardian angle’s are truly real and our always be are side they will never leave us even if we have done something bad or sinned really bad. At the end of the Gospel they are saying everything is possible with God so we need to believe and our life is so holy with the trinity, God, and all the saints.
i can apply this scripture to my life today by being more willing to follow Jesus and listening to him. I can start believing in what he tells me to do more because i have Mary as a role model
I can apply this to my life by following Mary’s example and put my full trust in God
