“LORD, DO NOT TROUBLE YOURSELF, FOR I AM NOT WORTHY TO HAVE YOU ENTER UNDER MY ROOF.” LK 7:1-10

Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Prayer Prompt before reading LK 7:1-10: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and God the Son are so that I may know who I am.

Today, Jesus simply teaches us that humility is the first step to holiness.  Have you ever stopped to read the “Good Book” the Holy Bible and search the Truth about how you came to be? God the Father spoke our name into existence. There is no self-made man or woman in the Church. God the Father sustains us.

We must recognize we need God and most importantly He is in control.  St. Faustina says, “God gives grace to the little soul, the humble soul.”  We are to remember the words of the centurion before we receive the Eucharist, ““Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof.”

The words of the Roman Centurion who has great humility and complete trust in God make it into our Mass before we receive the Eucharist to remind us of what we are about to receive and how we are to approach God.  Approach God and receive Him, ponder that for a while!  Amazing!  Thank you, God for this great gift!

Today’s challenge: Be humble, trust in God, approach Him with great faith and humility, receive Him hidden behind bread and wine (remember He is hidden or else we would not be able to approach Him, we would disintegrate), be transformed!

Be a servant, be a saint today!

Joyfully sacrifice for another today!
