“FOR THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.” LK 6:36-38
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Today’s Gospel is taken from Luke’s Sermon on the Plain which is similar to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel. The section today’s Gospel is taken from is “Love of Enemies” and how to treat our neighbor. What speaks to my heart the most is that we are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning.
I often see this in myself as a father trying to teach my own children to be holy. It’s hard. I sometimes get on them about something when I don’t model it well myself. It doesn’t mean that I stop disciplining with tough love, but I try to be mindful of how I am living what I am teaching them myself.
God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”. He is Light and light reveals what is in the darkness. He does not condemn us, we condemn ourselves by willfully choosing to sin. God has revealed a way to be purified and holy, His Son. Prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and developing a personal relationship with Jesus in prayer and reflecting on the Scriptures.
When we bring ourselves to be washed clean over and over in the sacraments, God’s grace, His life is what makes us holy not our own effort, discipline, or devotion. When we accept these graces, fill up our reservoir, and share this love with the unlovable in corporal and spiritual works of mercy!
We are called to judge as fathers, mothers, teachers, judges, etc., but when we judge it must be based on God’s laws and He is love and mercy with justice. He has compassion (suffers with) on us, but He taught us sin has serious consequences. His love and mercy are so great that He gave His only Son to die for us. God’s love is more powerful than anything in the world! This is why He is so radical to teach to even love our enemies. This is crazy talk! This is radical love! God’s love overcomes everything and He wants to share it with you.
We are called to recognize the love and mercy the Father has for us, so that we too can love and be merciful to others. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Are you willing to swallow your pride and think of others before yourself in all that you do today?
Today’s challenge: Try to live without judging today, what someone is wearing, how they look, how they talk, what they said, and if they say something that hurts or offends you, be ready to forgive. Love the unlovable in your world today. Give expecting nothing in return. It’s hard being a Christian, but the rewards are eternal! Only with God’s grace can we fulfill what Jesus wants us to do in today’s Gospel.
Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YOLO
We are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning. We are never gonna be perfect or even close to perfection. We will all make mistakes and some do more than others, but that’s how we learn.
We sin a lot and that’s apart of life, but we can make up for it by praying to God, going to confession, etc.
“Forgive and you will be forgiven” I think that sometimes we think that OTHER people are so unforgiving and so mean, that we fail to realize how broken WE are. it’s not about the person next to you it’s what YOU do. You’re the only person you can control so why judge others and not forgive them?
Today’s scripture reminds us that we sin against God so often that we rationalize it but once we relize that what were doing is wrong God is always their to welcome us back with open arms and forgive us in the sacrament of reconciliation even after breaking his comandments he will still forgive us.
In the Gospel today I think He is telling us to treat others how we want to be treated.
“”Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you;”
He tells the disciples to be merciful as the Father is merciful to you.
Today we learn that we shouldn’t judge each other and that we are called to judge as fathers, mothers, and any other role under God’s rules and love for us. My favorite part of scripture was,”Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
Today scripture says, “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” This shows that when we judge others it is wrong because we might not truly know them or what they are going through. We must act as Jesus did and not judge others but get to know them and try to help them through whatever they may be going through. When we help others we are praising God. WE must love others and not Judge.
God is telling us to stop judging people. If we stop judging people we wouldn’t be judged. Those lines stuck out to me because our societry is almost always doing that.
In the beginning of this statment I think that it is the golden rule and that what we do on earth we do in hevan / the our father prayer.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you;” This part of the Gospel stuck out to me because Jesus is telling us we need to stop doing all these bad things. He wants us to forgive others and give them things not just hate them because of something they said or did. We judge others almost everyday and we need to get better about it because it makes others feel bad about themselves. If they have judged us in the past we need to forgive and forget. God wants us to forgive them so that way we can grow closer to Him.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.”
we need to lift each other up not tearing people down because it doesn’t do any good by making others feel worse.
to be kind to others could keep the cycle going and the kindness can spread like wild fire.
There is no specific part that stood out to me, but I really like this Gospel. I like it because it shows whatever you do it will be done to you so I don’t know if I worded that the correct way. But what I mean is if you are nice to someone they will be nice to you, but also if you are mean to someone they will be mean to you, it’s like a get what you give.
What you give will be given back to you in the same measure, how we act now and our every action will be given or taken away from us before we either enter heaven or hell. It will decide our eternity we may not think that it matters when we do them but it will effect the people around us and our forever. So think before you do your every action and drop everything and follow the path God created for us.
God’s telling us that we sould be thinking of others before our selfves. He’s saying if we love and care for others, we’ll receve that back evenchuly. Caring about other more than ourselves is somthing we should do all the time.
“For the measure in which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” If we give we will receive in heaven. I feel that Jesus is telling me to give today. That He wants me to give so I can receive. Have we received anything lately? Maybe we just haven’t given to others. If we aren’t giving, why do we expect to get something? If we work out we become more healthy but if we don’t work out we become unhealthy. The same is with receiving God’s love and receiving His grace. If we spread His love, we will end up getting it back. If we focus on judging others, how can we fix ourself? If we are too worried about other people’s faults, how can we see our own and fix them? Find the ability to focus on ourself and forgive others so we can find ourself and be able to give to them.
To judge is to be human. That is how we view the world, judging things as good, or as bad. This is how we view people as well, judging by whether we like them or not. Whenever I am judging someone, and I tell myself to stop, it helps to put myself in their shoes. To imagine what I would do in that situation. It is also important to remember that all people come from different backgrounds, and everyone is naturally different. Every person is born with a different set of skills, or different motivation. Some are born athletic, some academic. The point is, no person is the same, so you can’t judge people for how they look or what they do. If you grew up in the same environment that they did, you would probably do the same. There will always be times when a judgment just pops into your mind, but you have to immediately push it away. You cannot discredit someone for a single thing that they did. The only way to really know someone is to spend time with them. If there is someone that you don’t like, maybe try to get to know them better. To look for the good that is in everyone. Doing this will improve your POV of them, and theirs of you. Eventually, when the both of you get more charitable, then the world gets better that much!
Jesus it very bold in His message today. He tells us to stop judging if we want to not be judged and to forgive if we want to be forgiven. I think this is some of the inspiration for the St. Francis Prayer. It is in giving that we receive. I think that means that when we give of ourselves, we aren’t suffering, we are receiving more than we put in.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged” I think this part means that we can’t be mean and judge others if we don’t want people to judge us.
Stop Judging and you won’t be judged. This sticks out to me because it fits into our lives a lot if you’re not mean or rude or a bully to someone you won’t be judged or thought of as a bully. If you don’t judge people as a weirdo or a loser and you try to solve it yourself. That is condemning and you will be condemned as a bully or mean person. But if you help those as victims and you don’t judge that’s how you get closer to God
In the scripture it tells us that God is wanting us to treat each other how we want to be treated. God made each of us to teach and grow each other closer to God so one day we can be with him in heaven. When someone sins against us we should forgive them. That is what God is telling us in Our Father.
“Forgive and you will be forgiven.” This stood out to me because I feel like we get caught up in I did this really bad thing I will never be forgiven so I am not gonna follow this faith and not talk to this person. But that is not it Jesus wants us to follow him he wants us to be forgiven. He knows we make mistakes and He has given us so many chances to be forgiven but we never listen. We get so caught up in our society on social media and never have time to even think about going to confession. God loved us so much he gave us a second chance.
We should stop judging others because none of it will matter in Heaven. We need to be able to forgive for people to forgive us.There are always two sides to both of the story.“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. We need to stop judging other because we are all mad in Gods imagine.
Today, Jesus tells us about the golden rule. “For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” If we don’t give that much, and we don’t really try to be good, then why would anyone want to give to us? Treat others how you want to be treated. God knows if we are trying, and how hard we are actually trying.
Do not judge others, that’s not your job. Your job is to love everyone even if you don’t like them. It’s the Lord’s job to judge not our’s. Be merciful to everyone no matter what. Love your neighbor as you love the Lord. Just as the Lord’s prayer says. Forgive one other as God forgives you.
Something that I got out of this is don’t Judge, I know that this is a very common thing for people to say, but it is a lot harder to do it than to just say it. None of us are perfect, none of us don’t sin so we have no room for us to judge. The only people that can Judge us is God, and Jesus, and I think that people need to realize this, because their are so many people that are scared to enter Christianity just because they are scared of being judged for what they did in their past life, and I think that people, especially Christians should not judge people for what mistakes they did before they came to Christ.
I think God is saying that when we do something good, we will have something good back. Whenever we spread the gospel and follow Jesus, we are doing something good and that gets us to heaven.
God loves us. He loved us so much that he gave his only begotten Son to die for us. If we can’t see how much He loves us, how are we supposed to get into Heaven? A way to get into Heaven is to love our neighbors. Our neighbors have God inside of their souls and what we do to them, we do to God. Being kind is the best way to give to God. Think of your neighbors before thinking about yourself.
Today’s Gospel states the golden rule in a way, through the whole Gospel today it says you do this and you will get this in return this means treat others how you want to be treated. Also this is what it says in this days Gospel,
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.”
If you tithe you get stewardship way of life in return. Stewardship is what we have been working on the last week or so.
i think the gospel is trying to tell us to stop judging if we want to not be judged and to forgive if we want to be forgiven. The point is no person is the same so you can’t judge people for how they look or what they do.
God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”. This part of the scripture stuck out to me because it tells us not to live life like it is affected by how people judge you, but to let the final Judge (Jesus) judge you.
Jesus is the only one who should judge us, no one else. Sometimes we may think that being judged by everyone is important, but it isn’t.
We are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning. We are never gonna be perfect or even close to perfection. We will all make mistakes and some do more than others, but that’s how we learn.
We sin a lot and that’s a part of life, but we can make up for it by praying to God, going to confession, etc.
What I get from this reflection is we need to love our neighbor as much as Jesus loves us. In the reflection it says that God says “no stain of sin will enter heaven,“ From that phrase I think that we need to repent now before our time ends because. That is why we need to love our neighbor as ourselves because even if they are our enemy they are still our brother/sister in Christ.
For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you. He is telling us how we need to give worldly wants or temptations aside and that we will be compensated in Heaven. That compensation won’t be monetary or physical, it will be spiritual joy and love in Heaven from Him.
You need to judge others how you would judge yourself, you cannot be a critic if you cannot take self reflection well. You need to be the one giving yourself a high expectation not set one for other people.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you” Jesus is telling us to be good to others and we will be rewarded. Whenever we do something good we have to do it in love of God, not expecting something back. It is hard to be nice to everyone, especially our enemies, but those are the ones we are called to be the nicest to. We have to put ourselves last and other people first. But, God above all!
In the Gospel Jesus tells us to “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you.” If we treat others how we want to be treated God will give us that back. God loves us and he wants us to love others too. He will give us everything that we give to others when we give to heaven. He says “A good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”
Something that stuck out to me was “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” Something that I realized is that most people including myself often judge other people, but then we hate it when other people judge us. We should leave the judging to God and try to better ourselves instead of trying to point out faults in other people. If we are pointing out faults of anyone we should point out the faults in ourselves so we know to fix them.
Today’s scripture reminds us that we sin against God so often that we rationalize it but once we realize that what were doing is wrong God is always their to welcome us back with open arms and forgive us in the sacrament of reconciliation even after breaking his commandments he will still forgive us.
Be merciful to those who seek mercy. Jesus gave mercy, even to those who crucified him. We judge because we try to tell right from wrong. We can’t help but judge! But even if we do, and if you judge somebody who’s hurt you, show mercy to them. forgive them just like Jesus.
What stuck out to me was that jesus said to be forgiven, forgive. This stuck out to me because the human race are all very judgmental. we need to be like God and let go of our hate.
God is trying to tell us what we do to others is what they do to us. If we judge them they will judge us. If we forgive them they will forgive us. We need to be nice and respect others so we can all help each other get to Heaven.
The gospel is trying to tell us to stop judging. We are always judging other people and how they look and if they are skinny or not but really we should be judging ourselves. We aren’t going to make it into heaven if we judge all the time. We should be judging ourselves by saying I need to pray more or spend more time with God and Jesus. But we cant do that since we judge.
“For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” I like this line because it’s basically saying that the way you treat others will be how they treat you. If you constantly judge and put yourself above others then you will be greeted with same disrespect that you show them. That’s why we have to strive to treat everybody the way Jesus would because not only will it make our lives on earth easier, it will make heaven more attainable.
I think God is trying to tell us what we do to others is what they do to us. If we judge them they will judge us. If we forgive them they will forgive us. We need to be nice and respect others so we can all help each other get to Heaven.
The saying God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”. He is Light and light reveals what is in the darkness. He does not condemn us, we condemn ourselves by willfully choosing to sin.is good because it reminds that he will judge us of our wrong doings. He will do this so we can be with him.
We Judge everyone and everything so often it becomes normal. We should not be judging others as that is not the correct thing to do. Everybody is judged. Next time you Judge someone you should know that you’re also being judged. You might not be being judged by them but by others. Don’t judge your neighbor for you don’t know what they are going through.
“Be merciful, just as your father is merciful.” This speaks out to me because just like the golden rule, if you are kind to others, they will be kind to you. we have to think about our actions because like the gospel says, “Stop judging and you will not be judged.Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.Forgive and you will be forgiven.Give and gifts will be given to you.” Jesus says treat others the way you would want to be treated and we have to really reflect on that because everything we do, we do to God.
God is the judge. He is the only one who needs to judge. Judging others is not the way to heaven. Making ourselves feel better by saying that someone else is worse than us is not the way to heaven. It just doesn’t work. The only reason God judges us at the end of our lives is because heaven is pure of sin and must remain so forever.
WE are all sinners. We fail to do the fathers will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning. We will never be perfect. We will make mistakes, but that is how we learn. We sin everyday but you can make that up by praying to God, going to confession, and going to mass and actually participating.
accept these graces we need to do this in order to love God with all of our heart and love him tell we can be with him in heaven
In today’s Gospel God is saying not to judge. “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive you and you will be forgiven.” It’s not our Job to work with other people because everyone has feelings. We should be thinking of others not yourself. We judge others almost everyday and we need to get better about it because it makes others feel bad about themselves. When we help each other we need to LOVE one another, not bring each other down
The gospel today is about how we need to stop judging others especially if we judge them for something we also do because instead of focusing on what others do we should focus more on ourselves
GOD IS LOVE!!! His power is the greatest of all raising the dead, healing the lepers, and forgiving endlessly. When we walk into heaven we will be pure he will heal us inside and out he said “no stain shall enter heaven.
“FOR THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.” This is telling me that for what we measure as far as sin or giving, God will measure that out to you. We all know God loves us to where no one can love like him. If we can see that we are loving and giving to others, God knows we are Christ-like. If we are to be like one with Christ, God will be giving us countless love as the stars, and multiverses. Abraham had a deep relationship with God, to where his love for him made him a commandment for him to have descendants as countless as the stars. If we are to have a relationship like that. We are definitely promised to have eternal life.
God is telling us that we are not supposed to judge. A lot of people do it without even thinking about their actions or what they have done. God says it is our job to love everyone even if we don´t like them or they don´t like us. That is Gods job to judge people in the end for their actions.
God is trying to tell us Love of Enemies and how to treat our neighbor. We are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning.God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”.
“But when we judge it must be based on God’s laws and He is love and mercy with justice.” God still wants us to have our own right. He still wants us to feel like we mean something but He doesn’t want us to put others down to make us feel like we mean something. He wants us to be able to love one another and treat everyone equally. we are all equal to God. Even the riches to the poorest. God still loves us all equally. He loves the sinner not the sin.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you;” this part stuck out to me, because it reminds me of the Golden Rule. If you do good to others, you in turn will receive good. Jesus Himself calls us to do good deeds for others, and if we do, we’ll receive good deeds back.
Treat others how you want to be treated, and put in what you want out of your relationships and friendships. If your mean the entire time then you will get treated that way if your not then you won’t.
What Jesus is saying to his disciples is that if you do something of kindness that act of kindness will return to you. You should always be nice and loving to people even if they do bad things to you. No one deserves to be put down and be disrespected, be the person to make someone’s day.
We need to treat others how we want to be treated. You can’t be rude to someone then expect them to be all nice to you, no, you get what you give. Like the golden rule said, ” Treat others how you want to be treated.”
This is saying if you judge, you will be judged, and to forgive or we will not be forgiven. “FOR THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.” is saying Treat others like you want to be treated.
Some people are driven by felling better than others. Some people only can make it through the day by comparing themself to another and saying that they are better. Most critics only look for the negative aspects in an object or event. This is not supportive, it is pessemistic. It is a very negative job that will eventually leak into their everyday life. If you ask yourself in you are positive, only your actions can answer that riddle of a question.
I think this is like the golden rule basically. We cant judge others because its not our job its Gods job. We have to be more like God because he is perfect no else can be Him.
do not judge people, do not be rude or mean. love and forgive everyone. Treat people with kindness because that is how you want to be treated.
Do not judge others, we are all children of God we are all the same in way. When you judge someone its like judging Jesus. The only persons opion that matters is Jeus´
Everyone sins. No one except for God gets to judge us. No human has any right to judge others when they do the exact same thing. No one is perfect. Not even the most holy people on earth right now. Everyone sins! No one is more important and everyone deserves love.
What stuck out to me was “For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” This stuck out to me because when we do something to someone it can hurt but it also gets judged by God when we die. We have to strive to be a good person and to do what is right. We are human so we will make mistakes but that’s ok. Just always try to strive to be a good person.
We, as humans, judge each other harshly. God judges us in a loving way. We need to love each other and lead by example. By judging ourselves first we can improve ourselves. In the end though, God will judge us last fairly. Because he loves us.
“Forgive and you will be forgiven.” We tend to get in arguments and hold grudges. We often struggle to forgive others, or we do forgive them and then just start another argument. Jesus forgave us for all of our sins by dying on the cross. We need to follow his example and forgive others even when it may be challenging.
To be forgiven we have to forgive. Forgiving is so important. It can make bonds stronger and make you a happier person. Holding grudges is not a very good habit to have. It can cause lots of problems. It can be a very hard thing to do but after you forgive it feels so much better.
Iḿ going to read with my friend, i forgot what book it is but she brings a book (if she remembers) its about people like our age who helps with daily tasks, like spreading the word, i think the last time we read it it was about a group of CYM and they were holding up flags and some of them were like colouring something into the road for support about something. I think it was abortion. I don´t remember well cause we mostly goofed off most the time but it was fun because Bryc told me that her parents might enroll her in Kapaun since she lives close to the mall. I think that was great news and I hope she can get in.
Jesus tells us to not judge so we aren’t judged but how can you trust them. What if you don’t judge them but they judge you. What Jesus is telling us is that if you judge a person and then they hear about it then they will most likely start judging you. It’s how our minds work. So if you don’t judge someone theres more of a chance that they won’t judge you. It might still happen but that’s what Jesus is telling us. If we don’t judge people you’re already doing the right thing. So if everyone is doing the right things you don’t have those problems. If you want the world to change you have to start changing. So don’t judge people-even though sometimes we fail- just work hard at keeping your mind clean. That’s what I got out of this Gospel.
This gospel reminds me of two gospels, 1. do not go and take splinters out of others eyes without taking them out of yours. 2. Jesus says throw the stone if you have never sinned, and no one throws the stone. All of these say, don’t try and act like a perfect person, as only Jesus and Mary are, because you arent we are sinners and we need forgiveness.
God is always good. He always wants the best for us and wants to help us. Sometimes though, we have to suffer to grow from the pain. We can’t always have our way but we can live in the hope of the world to come. As long as we keep growing in our faith and our relationship to God we can keep growing closer to Heaven.
Jesus in todays Gospel jesus teaches us how to love. We’ve been taught this since kindergarten yet its so hard to do. Jesus loves us more than himself. so much so that he went through torture for us. God is so loving and so foregiving, think about it. we were made in his image and likeness so we can love like him to
But yours, O Lord, our God, are compassion and forgiveness!
Yet we rebelled against you
and paid no heed to your command, O LORD, our God,
to live by the law you gave us through your servants the prophets.”
What this means in the Gospel is telling us that we have not followed the golden rule, bringing us back to when people first started sinning we never followed God’s rules. So whenever we see other people not worshiping God try bringing them to the Catholic faith try bringing them closer to God. When we do this we all will be worshiping and praising God because He has made a change in all the peoples hearts that have converted over to the Catholic faith
Today, I think God is telling us that we need to be nice to everyone we meet and we should not judge others unless we want to be judged.
In this scripture reflection I was reminded that I should love my enemies as myself and that I should practice that. When somebody hurts you or does something you do not like give them a complement or do something as you would do to yourself.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.” how often do we judge others from the first moment we see them? we usually decide on whether or not we like them based on how they look. But when we judge others, God judges us. God doesn’t judge our actions, but our hearts. so when we don’t judge others, God doesn’t have anything to judge in ourselves.
We must forgive those around us, simply put. It can be difficult at times to forgive someone that has hurt you, but hating someone for something that happened in the past simply isn’t going to change it. It’s okay to avoid people that we might not like because of them doing something in the past, but forgiving them is a step in the right direction of being at peace with ourselves
In the scripture it’s saying that we need to stop judging people just by how they look or act. We don’t actually know them until you talk to them, and they could actually be nice and become your friend. There are so many people that judge in the world and God is telling us that we need to stop.
We are called to recognize the love and mercy the Father has for us, so that we too can love and be merciful to others.
Jesus tells us to love our enemies. Its hard to love someone who hurts you or makes you mad, but somewhere in the bible it talks about how Jesus said dont do revenge your father in heaven delights in revenge and will do it for you or something like that. Its hard to love them and not fight back but we have to think of what j]Jesus said. Not fight back because your reward will be great and God will punish them.
“His life is what makes us holy not our own effort”
We don’t choose to be Holy, he chooses for us. We can’t make ourselves Holy only He can. We can’t do everything on our own, sooner or later we will run back to father and his arms will be open wide
We must recognize the level of love that Jesus has for us, I didn’t for a while until i really thought about it. If He is real which I obviously believe he is then he literally came down to die for us just to make sure that we knew He loved us, I mean there’s no question about it that is the highest price you can pay because you love someone is to sacrifice your own life for them.
we have to be kind to others. Jesus is always telling us to do things like forgiving our enemies, and to love other like we love ourselves, but we find this hard to do. this is normal. we are human, born with original sin. we find it hard to love those that hurt us, or to love people as much or more than we ;love ourselves.
in this gospel it talks about for us to love are enemies and the people around us and it tells us that we are sinners and we will fail to follow the will of the father but what we do next is what is important if we sit and whine that we are sinners and theirs no point then we wont change we will stay the same and not grow closer to the father where we will be able to become holy but if we read are bible and pray are rosaries and learn to grow closer to God in are relationship with him we will become better and learn to be holy.
We must recognize the level of love that Jesus has for us, I didn’t for a while until i really thought about it. If He is real which I obviously believe he is then he literally came down to die for us just to make sure that we knew He loved us, I mean there’s no question about it that is the highest price you can pay because you love someone is to sacrifice your own life for them…
Today’s gospel told me that we need to love our neighbor as ourselves, meaning love your enemies not just yourself. It tells us to build people up, not bring them down and to do it not just when people are watching, but also when you are alone.
“It’s hard.” Everything you see in your life will be hard. It doesn’t matter if things are hard it just depends how we get through it. We will find out that life is hard at some point. People say that it is easy well not everything is easy Some things are hard and that is fine. I feel like God created hard things to find out how we will overcome them. If you have trouble in your marriage will you try to go to therapy or just get a divorce. Everything is that simple we just need to know that. We should be able to overcome anything it is just a matter of time to when it will be the right thing to overcome it.
forgive and you will be forgiven, such an easy thing to say but actually doing it is hard..where human so where going to strugle and where not gonna be perfect theres always going to be someone we dont like, theres always going to be obstacles and theres always going to be a person that will hurt us but we need to be strong and forgive like jesus did.
Today’s scripture is about how we need to treat others how we want to be treated. Even if someone is mean to you it wont help if you start being mean back you don’t have to friends with them but at least try to be nice. The scripture is also about how we should not judge others. Someone may be different from you but that doesn’t mean its ok for you to judge them sometimes I struggle with this myself.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us to not judge people. Everybody has their own opinions about things or people. But just because we have an opinion doesn’t mean we can say it out loud. We have to care for eachother like Jesus would, because Jesus in each one of us.
Today’s gospel told me that we need to love our neighbor as ourselves, meaning love your enemies not just the people you love. It tells us to build people up, not bring them down and to do it not just when people are watching, but also when you are alone.
Today in the Gospel, Jesus is telling us the key to eternal life. He is telling us to treat others how we want to be treated (Golden Rule). In the Gospel He is showing us how to be like Him, if we do what He is telling us to do then we will have eternal life in Heaven, with God our father and Jesus our savior. For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.” This line is the one that stuck out to me most because it’s telling us that if we do good to others, then others will do good to us.
I think God is trying to tell us that we need to not judge people because we don’t know what they’re going through. He wants us to recognize that he loves us so much.
You get what you give. “for the measure with which you measure, will in turn be measured unto you.” If we are stingy people will be stingy in return, if we are greedy people will be greedy in return. If we want good things in life we must first give out good things.
“Love our enemies” stuck out to me because God said to love not hate our enemies.
Today’s Gospel tells us that we should not judge. We are judging others more than we think. We should focus on ourselves and not what other people have going on in their life.
This scripture reflection is telling me that we need to love others as we love our self and treat others the way we want to be treated. If we are rude to others they are rude to us but if we are kind to others they are kind to us. If we want others to be kind to us we have to be kind to them and treat them the way we want to be treated.
God is so merciful towards us even though we sin and sin against him, yet he still forgives us out of his love for us. “But yours, O Lord, our God, are compassion and forgiveness!”
“God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”. No stain of sin, he says that he will not allow any sin at all to become a part of a holy land. That is why we go to confession every month or week. We don’t know when we will leave this earth and we want to keep our soul as clean as possible so when we go to see God our soul will be clean.
Today, Jesus taught me to not judge anyone at all. There’s no reason to if we don’t even know them. He also taught me about the Goldern rule. Treat others how you would want to be treated. I wouldn’t want to be judged by people I don’t even know, and neither do you. We all should love our neighbor just as God loves all of us.
You shouldnt judge because you do the same as the other person maybe you judge them for sinning you sin too dont judge.
Today’s gospel is so amazing probertly one of my favorites so far. I love how the Lord speaks “what you shall do to others shall be done to you”. It is such an amazing gospel.
We are not made to judge others that is for God and God alone we are supposed to love all things made by God.
We are sinners but “He is Light and light reveals what is in the darkness.” God is our way to Heaven and a life without sin.
i think he is telling me to accept these graces. we need to accept these in order to love God with all of our heart and love him tell we can be with him in heaven.
God is telling us that we should treat others how we want to be treated, also known as the “Golden Rule”. God wants everyone to be loved by everyone so everyone can get into heaven and spend time with God forever and live eternal life. “FOR THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.” This part struck me because this basically means that we should treat others how we want to be treated.
Heaven is a place of purity and complete happiness. We must be cleansed of all our sins and wrong doings. We must pray to God to be free from the sin that we have once committed. We are also called to be loving to our enemies in order to be fully cleansed of ALL our sins.
“Forgive and you will be forgiven” This stuck out to me because its saying that we shouldn´t hold grudges and we should forgive others even if we dont want to.
In today’s scripture it tells me to treat others how you want to be treated.
“FOR THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.”
It tells me about the golden rule. We need to forgive others and show them what you wanted to be treated like.
God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges because “no stain of sin will enter heaven”. This really stuck out to me because God won’t let a single thing enter into his kingdom. We must be purified before entering God’s kingdom. We have to be in perfect tune with God and have to be holy to enter the kingdom of God.

This means that when we give up ourselves, we aren’t suffering, we are receiving more than we put in. I believe he came down to die and suffer for us just to make sure that we knew He loves us. God judges us in a loving way. We need to love each other and not be afraid. He comes to us with open arms.
Jesus tells us to love our enemies and treat others how we want to be treated because we are human
I think today’s scripture is saying we should treat others how we want to be treated. “For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” It’s hard for everyone to remember this but we all need to think before we say something and make sure its something that wouldn’t hurt you if someone said it to you.
What I got from this Gospel was that you should not expect to be treated amazingly if you are treating others horribly. Everything always circles around to the Golden Rule. God made that rule especially for those who think they are better than everyone.
What I got from this Gospel was that you should not expect to be treated amazingly if you are treating others horribly. Everything always circles around to the Golden Rule. God made that rule especially for those who think they are better than everyone. I think it’s very important not to think or act on this.
I think that in this scripture He is trying to tell me that I have no right to judge other people. And they don’t have the right to judge me. God and Jesus are the only people that have the right to judge you and they only do when you meat him and he tells you, you will go to heaven or hell.
For measure you give you you will receive. To me this means like the golden rule treat others how you want to be treated so like when you do something good you might get it back.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you” Jesus is telling us to be good to others and we will be rewarded. When someone sins against us we should forgive them. That is what God is telling us in Our Father.
