In the book of Revelation, John continues to share his visions of Final Judgment. This continues to prove our Catholic Doctrine on death, judgment, heaven, purgatory, and hell. Also, the Devil does exist and Jesus did conquer the Devil, death, and sin dying on the cross and resurrecting.
In the Gospel, Jesus makes a very bold statement, “heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will never pass away.” Jesus, like no other founder of world religions, speaks with such authority. Thus, our belief that He is God and one with the Father! Jesus is telling us today that at His Second Coming the Alpha and Omega (beginning and end of Greek alphabet) will come full circle and touch, all will be finished and all will be judged by the one and only judge-Christ.
Thus, the reason I sign each blog with Christian YOLO! If you only get one life to live and it is was freely given to you by God your Creator, it is our duty and responsibility to know, love, and serve God, do His Will, and return to Him as saints. If you decide to follow the cultural YOLO, you may have short term happiness, sinful habits, and a lot of baggage. Trash or Eucharistic Thanksgiving Banquet, Jesus Christ or the Devil, Heaven or Hell, the choice is ours! Start building good habits in your life now, prayer, good deeds, Adoration, Mass, saint books, confession, youth group activities! The rewards are eternal!
