Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Beloved:
Who indeed is the victor over the world
but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

This is the one who came through water and Blood, Jesus Christ,
not by water alone, but by water and Blood.
The Spirit is the one who testifies,
and the Spirit is truth.
So there are three that testify,
the Spirit, the water, and the Blood,
and the three are of one accord.
If we accept human testimony,
the testimony of God is surely greater.
Now the testimony of God is this,
that he has testified on behalf of his Son.
Whoever believes in the Son of God
has this testimony within himself.
Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar
by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.
And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
Whoever possesses the Son has life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.

I write these things to you so that you may know
that you have eternal life,
you who believe in the name of the Son of God. 1 JN 5:5-13

Hitler tried to conquer the world with human power, Jesus Christ conquered the world, sin, and death through love. In many ways we all try to be Hitler with our pride, trying to make ourselves feel secure with money, titles, accomplishments, power over others. John teaches us today that if we believe in our hearts and allow that belief to permeate every part of our lives and actions we too are “victors over the world”. We cannot turn on the TV, Internet, or radio and conquer sin and grow in holiness, unless the information we are gaining from those items leads us to know Christ better. Information from the media can be good or bad, but my point is that it is not making us holy. We have to bring us to what Christ revealed. ”If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is surely greater”. John goes on to teach us what God’s testimony is,
“Now the testimony of God is this,
that he has testified on behalf of his Son.
Whoever believes in the Son of God
has this testimony within himself.
Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar
by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.
And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
Whoever possesses the Son has life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.”

Is there any greater proof we need than this? What are you looking for?
Make Jesus Christ the center of your life! This is the answer to the biggest questions? What will make me the most fulfilled? What is my purpose? Why am I here in this place and time with these people? We are made to know God, serve Him by doing His Will, love Him with our whole heart, mind, body, and strength, and return to Him. Christ is the “Way, the Truth, and the Life” to gain our hearts greatest desire and conquer the world.
“Be who God created you to be and you will set the world on fire.” -St. Catherine of SIena

Today’s challenge: Seek out Jesus Christ. He is the answer your heart is looking for. Conquer the world with love once you have found Him.

Be a servant, become a saint!
