Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Stay awake!
For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this: if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.

“Who, then, is the faithful and prudent servant,
whom the master has put in charge of his household
to distribute to them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master on his arrival finds doing so.
Amen, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property.
But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is long delayed,’
and begins to beat his fellow servants,
and eat and drink with drunkards,
the servant’s master will come on an unexpected day
and at an unknown hour and will punish him severely
and assign him a place with the hypocrites,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”  MT 24:42-51

How prepared are you for the day Jesus will return?  The end of the world happened when Jesus died and resurrected.  Sin and death are conquered.  Heaven is open.  We are living in the end times and Jesus can return at any time.  God, through His Son, Jesus, has reconciled all of humanity by His blood.  The key is how we respond and love back.  How do you respond to God’s love?  Prayer, good deeds, Adoration, Mass, faithful reception of the Eucharist, reconciling yourself over and over with God after you sin, fighting sin with fasting and sacrifice, and loving God by loving self and others.  Have you converted your heart?  Are you all in for Jesus? You are probably like most.  We have converted in some areas but we are hanging on to other areas.  I know that is how I am.  What does Jesus need to say to us for us to be all in?  What does He need to do?  In the back of our minds we think we have time or we will do it when we get older.  If I remember right, a 9 year old boy just died at the NBC tournament this summer, do we have more time.  Bishop Carroll has lost a few students or just former students in the past 8 years.  Car accidents, natural disasters, cancer, bad decisions can take all of us at any time. Today, is the day to start preparing for Christ’s return for we do not know “the day or the hour the master will return”.

Today’s challenge: Live life as an other Christ, change whatever needs to be changed to prepare yourself for your final day then be excited to leave suffering and enter eternal joy.
