“FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF MY FATHER,THAT EVERYONE WHO SEES THE SON AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND I SHALL RAISE HIM ON THE LAST DAY.” JN 6:37-40
Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;
and their passing away was thought an affliction
and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace.
For if before men, indeed, they be punished,
yet is their hope full of immortality;
chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed,
because God tried them
and found them worthy of himself.
As gold in the furnace, he proved them,
and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself.
In the time of their visitation they shall shine,
and shall dart about as sparks through stubble;
they shall judge nations and rule over peoples,
and the LORD shall be their King forever.
Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love:
because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,
and his care is with his elect. WIS 3:1-9
Jesus said to the crowds:
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.” Jn 6:37-40
Today, we celebrate the Commemoration of All Souls. May we take time to pray for all deceased relatives, friends, those in your parish, the community, and for all souls. The Creed states, “I believe in the Communion of Saints”. We celebrated the Triumphant in heaven yesterday who can pray and help those in purgatory and on earth. We ask their intercession each day in prayer (storm heaven any time you want, saints are eagerly awaiting to help).
Today we pray for all of those souls suffering in purgatory. They cannot gain merit with God anymore (body and soul separated) and fully rely on the prayers of the saints and our prayers. The Militant on earth are all baptized souls trying to follow the will of God (die to self, carry your crosses and offer them up, fight Satan/sin, be a servant-put others before self) and we can receive His grace/God’s Life through the sacraments that helps fill us for our journey and makes us holy. Most importantly, God wants your friendship day in and day out. He sent His only Son to die so you could be friends with Him. Why? Our Creator is madly in love with His creation, us!
Today, Jesus makes clear our purpose for being created. ”For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.” We have an earthly body with a Spirit that has a heavenly homeland. We must spend time daily stirring/listening to the Spirit inside of us. It is our final destination.
We believe in an afterlife, a spiritual world because that is what God revealed to us in Jesus. God gave us a body to bring forth new life with Him and create more souls to fill heaven. He also gave us a body to help the least of His people and be missionaries in our own homes. Use your body for good.
It starts by feeding your Spirit with the Eucharist, prayer, and Scripture. Since Jesus died and resurrected we have the ability to conquer sin in our lives through the grace of Baptism and avenues of grace in the Sacraments. Open yourself to God’s grace, conquer sin in your life, and experience joy in this life and the next.
Today’s challenge: Become a saint! For this we are made! Pray for all souls in purgatory. Make a wall of remembrance and pray for their souls throughout the year.
Be a servant, become a saint!

“The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.” This stuck out to me the most because i think this kind of means that is we let the Lord guide us and we trust him to do so the devil cant temp us because Jesus is there to protect us but if we dont trust him fully we still can get those temptations.
“and no torment shall touch them.” Jesus protects us everyday from sin, demons, and other worldly evils, the least we can do is to try and protect others with our love.
for having to pray for our lost family and friends and that we pray for the holy ones to help them on their way up to heaven.
For us to join them in heaven we must resist sin and temptation from the devil because he will try to break us apart from our loved ones.
But God wants us to join him in heaven because he wants to be with his most beloved creation.
Today is a day for us as the people on earth to recognise and pray for those souls in purgutory. They rely on our prayers and help to get them to the place we all strive to be. Heaven.
A part that stuck out to me was
“because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.”
In this part of the reading Jesus is telling us why he came down from heaven. To do the father’s will. Jesus was obedient to God and came for us to full fill the old and new covenant.
today scripture said to me that Jesus loves us and through the power of God he saves us. God was telling Jesus his plan and that show Jesus new what to do he wasn’t lost he knew. He has come to save us because we are the ones who are lost. He has come for us to bring us back to his father. He has come to show us the path to eternal life, all we have to do is trust him and follow him and do as he asks of us.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me” This phrase stuck out to me because Jesus is saying that he gets everything from the Father just as we should ask for everything through the Father. He also says that he won’t reject anyone. As long as we come to Him and talk to Him he will love us and not reject us. Another phrase that stuck out to me is “because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” He came down from Heaven not because He wanted to but His Father wanted Him to. He does whatever His Father tells Him and we should listen to Jesus too and do whatever He tells us to do.
The saints want to help us. They are constantly praying for us. We must ask for their intercession because they are right there with God. We must also pray for all of the souls in purgatory. They cannot do anything themselves to get to heaven. It is up to the saints and us to get them to heaven. If we want to be a saint, we can pray for those in purgatory and God will reward us for our praying. You cannot outdo God in generosity and what is the most generous thing we can do? Help someone get to heaven!
Today in scripture we learned, You either give up your life for God or turn around and go the other way. If you turn towards God you go down the sacraments of life and live closer to God the more you are with him. So you grow a loving and never ending relationship with God. If you turn the other way you reject God and do not believe in him and choose to go to hell. Its the decision of your life it relies on who you are in God. My favorite part of scripture was, at the end of life he picks of those who love and believe and are the ones who turn out just right, but if you turned against him and gone bad he does not pick you to live eternal life in Heaven.
The Father’s will is that every one who knows the Son and believes in him, shall have eternal life, and that in the resurrection day Christ shall raise him from the grave. These verses show that the will of the Father applies to every one who believes in the Son and that Christ has brought to light immortality.
Today in scripture we have learned, You either give up your life for God or turn around and go the other way.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace.” This stuck out to me because when people die there is no need to cry over their death yes maybe we did lose a life of a loved one in this life. But we were put on this earth to die on this earth and to live eternity in heaven or hell. Our time on earth is a test for your time forever. We may believe that we only live once so do everything and have fun. But we don’t we will be living for eternity so give your little time here on this earth to God give yourself completely to him and pray for the people who have passed on earth for their place in eternity.
God creates all things, and without his permission, nothing can exist. This is an often talked about topic, because people say, “If God sustains and creates all things, why is there evil in the world? If God loves us, and wants the best for us, Why is there pain?” God did not create evil. Evil is just a fact of life. Yin and yang, you cannot have good without the bad. That is not to say that yin and yang are conscious, but rather if there is a choice to do good, then there will always be a choice to do bad. God allows these obstacles to exist, because of free will. Free will is a gift, it is not something that God has to abide by, because he created it. Through these obstacles, he allows us to choose good or evil, love or hate, Jehova or beelzebub, Jesus or Satan. The souls that God welcomes are the souls that want to be forgiven. God will forgive all of us, we NEED to be open to that forgiveness. Death is a tragedy because it separates us from our loved ones. But! As one door closes, another one opens, and they are then reunited with God. So as we commemorate the death of loved ones, we should not be tragic. But rather, we should have joy and happiness about what they did with their lives and that they are in Heaven.
In todays scripture we learn that God is alive in use when we are Just he is always with us either way. Every bad thing that happened is a result of our sin. But even with that sin God still deeply loves us because we are made in his image and likeness. He will never cast anyone away for being a sinner because he will forgive us no matter what.
I like this one the souls of the just are in my hands and no torment shall tuch them. I like this it makes me think that if I do go and try my best to not sin he will let no torment come near me and so I feel like this one will make me do better and pray more and I like that.
Jesus said to the crowds:“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,because down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,but that I should raise it on the last day.For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”
This stuck out to me because it is telling us that Jesus was sent to save us, out of his fathers will. “For God so loved the world he gave his only son.” And since God loves us so much he sent Jesus to speak about Him, even when people didn’t believe him, he still did, because he loves us so much.
Jesus is telling us that there is an after-life and to get to heaven we must do the will of the Father. By doing the will of the Father we are changing the way we live and turning away from sin. Praying daily helps with battling sin and creating a friendship with God.
Jesus is saying in the Gospel that: He will not reject anyone who wants to follow Him. Anyone who does follow Him will be raised on the last day.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” This stuck out to me because it shows that Jesus is loving and will let anyone into his mercy and love.
I am to do Gods will until Judgment day when i either go to hell heaven or inbetwwen waiting. “I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.”
todays scripture taught me that god is allways loving us and he is allways with us. You have a choice in life. It is to either go the other way and not be with god. Or it is to go the right way with god and go to heaven.
God created everything he also wants us to know that there is a purpose for everything he created. We have an earthly body with a Spirit that has a heavenly homeland. So when we die on judgement day we will get new bodies. God gave us a body to bring forth new life with Him and create more souls to fill heaven. He also gave us a body to help the least of His people and be missionaries in our own homes. We are made to be missionaries either to be married, priest, nun,or single life but we each have a different calling.
I think that God is telling us that you need to believe it .Why do you deserve something if you don’t believe in it?
Today´s scripture taught me that god is always loving us and he is always with us. You have a choice in life. It is to either go the other way and not be with god. Or it is to go the right way with god and go to heaven.
In today’s gospel, Jesus says that he came down from Heaven and that he doesn’t want anything, but he wants to give us his sacrifice. Jesus wants us to pray for each other and serve Him for all eternity. Since today is all soul’s day, we are praying for the deceased and the people suffering in purgatory. When we feed our spirit Prayer, Eucharist, and Scripture your spirit becomes powerful and turns you to God and helps you get to Heaven.
Something that stuck out to me was “because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” I think that this means that Jesus was doing God’s will. Jesus came down from heaven to tell us about God, and all about the goodness of God.
God created all things and if he didn’t we wouldn’t exist because he created us and the whole world. We should praise God more because he saved us and without him we wouldn’t even exist
The souls of the deceased go to God or away from God. He will not reject those who come to Him. He won’t cast out those who want to do good. Before we become deceased we have to think about the after-life. Will we go to heaven? If not why won’t we go? We have to think about how our decisions can harm us in the future. Something you do today will come back to 20 years later. If we do good we get to go to Heaven or Purgatory. We have to think about our future!
Something that I got from this is that if we are a follower of Christ and are Holy than God will protect you. This is shown with Moses, where he asked for God to open up the Red sea and to close it, and to make water come out of the rock, and Manna out of the sky. Also with saint Sebastian, who they tried to kill multiple times but could not do it, and this shows me that “you can do anything through Christ who strengthens me”(Philippians 4:13)
The meaning of today’s scripture is that we need to realize our prayer changes things. It might not change anything the first time you pray for something or maybe it will. Either way keep praying for the same thing no matter what. Even if it is resolved keep praying for it to get better.
“As sacrificial offerings he took them to himself.” in saying this He says he takes us to him in his name.
Today’s scripture is telling me that we were on the earth to die and live our eternity in heaven or hell. Our whole goal in life is to make it to heaven to spend our eternity with God.
To me this scripture is telling me that if you pray and follow God and love him the best you can you are in the hands of god when you die. Knowing one can hurt them and you know they are safe. On all souls day you have to remember who has passed and know that your loved ones are at peace. We need to strive to be holy.
In the scripture today it tells me that there are two ways to go good or bad. It is to believe in God and believe in the miracles. This helps me to remember that I need to believe and trust.
You can either give up your life for God, or you have to go the other way. God wants us all to come to him and live forever joyfully.
Today Jesus is reminding us about the long run. Life isn´t just about now or tomorrow , its about whether or not we are gonna get to heaven or not. We also remember those in purgatory. The ones that have not quite made it to heaven and without are prayers they are kind of stuck. They need us right now and someday we might need their prayers.
God is trying to tell me today that God will never reject you and will have open arms for anyone. In this verse it says “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,because I came down from heaven not to do my own will/but the will of the one who sent me.”
”For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life,” Stuck out to me because he is saying that if you believe in God you will have eternal life. And today Jesus talks about the souls of dead people and how they are all worth like how he says ”As gold in the furnace, he proved them.”
I think Jesus is trying to tell us to pray for all of the souls in purgatory. The souls in purgatory cannot get themselves out, they have no power over that. Us on earth and in Heaven have to pray for their souls. When the souls in purgatory get to Heaven they can pray for us when we are in purgatory and on earth. We all need to pray for all souls even the ones we don’t know because they may have no one praying for them.
What stuck out to me was “The souls of the just are in the hand of God.” It means we are not alone when we pass, but in the gracious hands of God. He loves us and treats us like we are his favorite person. He is with us every step of the way, always.
I think that in the Gospel Jesus is trying to tell us that some people see death as a terrible thing, but Catholics see it differently. Catholics see death as being born into a new life which is heaven. When people die their souls go through purgatory and into heaven. After purgatory we will be sent to heaven and be God who will be our King.
Jesus tells us that the deceased are not really dead, but they are resting in peace.
In today gospel God tells us that death is not bad if we follow him and that we will live forever if we live by his rules
That the days we pray for people in purgatory will help us get them into the Kingdom of god and will help them thrive and be saints in heaven.
Today I feel like God was telling me that heaven really does exist. There is an after-life that we should be working to go to after this life.
Today is the day will the souls in purgatory will be prayed for. God will let anyone who follows him into eternal happiness. We pray that the souls in purgatory will make it to heaven faster and that the souls of people who just died make it to heaven.
If we accept god he will not turn us away he will invite us in and love us he is our lord and our God he will not leave us
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them” this stuck out to me because its like saying that we are always protected by God and his love, and no matter what he will always love us because we are his children.
Jesus is trying to tell us that he is the lord of our god and we should love him with all our strength. Nothing is more important than him not gold or money.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.”
This part of the verses really stuck out to me, because it’s just Jesus saying that our souls are precious, and no pain or suffering should come to it and torture it. We are all children of God, and God wants us to come running into his arms of love and protection.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God,and no torment shall touch them.”Is a very good phase that all people should say.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.” I think this is so cool to think about. He is our shield and is protecting us. He has all power and He is almighty the creator of earth. He loves individually and cares for us. In return we can pray and listen to God’s words.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me” I think that it means that after God puts his mark on us we will return to him after we die.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me” This phrase stuck out to me because Jesus is saying that he gets everything from the Father just as we should ask for everything through the Father.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, Jesus is telling us that you either give up your life or turn around and go the other way. Jesus protects us everyday from sin and evil and any bad stuff and the least we can do is try and protect others with out worldly love. Jesus will always be there for us
Jesus says that he will not reject anyone who wants to follow him. He is not making us listen to him or pray. God has always given us the choice to follow him. If we don’t, to put it simply we will go to hell. You don’t have to be perfect because if we long to be with God and listen to his word. Then we can make it to heaven. The best way to become close to God is praying, so that’s what we should do daily.
what stood out to me was he will be king forever because he is the most important thing ever and we should want to do in life is worship him. i also think he is trying to tell us if you love him and pray and have a good connection with him he will let you in to the gates of heaven so you can be with him forever. all God wants in life is for people to love and worship him so they can have fun in heaven and not suffer in hell.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment shall touch them”. That stuck out to me because it tells us that if we make the right decisions on earth, we will be protected and in the hand of God. in heaven. we would be protected from evil.
In the Gospel he is telling us that those who are just and right will be in my kingdom and shall not be touched with evil from Hell. but this means we will live in eternal life like all the other souls in heaven and we shall be watching down on others who pray for all souls in heaven. No matter what God has challenges for us in our world, but he never will let that happen in his kingdom. that’s the good news that we have been told for so so so long in the scriptures. we know but we don’t ease off and think about his kingdom. this is what we should follow, like all the other souls in heaven.
I think that God was trying to say that if you truly, honestly believe that he is alive and that He is God then, He as God will take care us as we should to the people around us. God is the most powerful thing in the Universe and all he asks of us is too worship him and to believe that He is God.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment shall touch them”. That stuck out to me because it tells us that if we make the right decisions on earth, we will be protected and in the hand of God in heaven. we would be protected from evil.
Jesus is saying He will not reject anyone who would want to follow Him. Jesus is saying no matter what you have done he will let you follow him and that you are always welcomed to.
God is alive in us. Every bad thing we do is a sin. But God keeps loving us even when we keep hurting him because he made us. He will always forgive us no matter what.
Jesus is saying that if we do the will of the father you will have eternal life. ¨We must spend time daily stirring/listening to the spirit inside of us. ¨
this is telling us that we need to follow Jesus in order to have eternal life in Heaven.
God sent down Jesus to help with everything and he sent him down for many reasons, even dying for our sins. Jesus knew what he had to do. Not backing down from any of it because he knew that everything he did was for a reason to help us not be tormented from the devil.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment shall touch them”. This stuck out to me because if you use Gods hand and he will guide us through the right path and he will protect us through everything.
Today is the day we pray for the souls in purgatory so they can go up to heaven.
The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
Those who are just will go to heaven, even if you go to purgatory you will still make it to heaven, it just means that you are holding on to part of a sin from your life and you have not let go of it quite yet.
We are all destined for Heaven and we decide what we do to get there
The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.
God will go through every moment of our lives. He knows everything that we’ve done, and everything that we will do. Once we are in heaven, no evil will be near us, there’s no conflict. Just peace.
What God is trying to say is that when you die your life is not over, but is continuing to a new life in Heaven. We should not fear death but look towards to because we’ll be meeting the Father in Heaven.
Heaven is eternal life. It is better than our life in this world. Jesus came down to fulfill the will of the Father and he will not reject any of us. We shall be raised one day to the Father and he will welcome us with open arms.
When it says “and no torment shall touch them” I think that means that he wants to protect us from the devil. He also protects us from sin and temptation.
The part that stuck out to me was when Jesus said “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” this part stuck out to me because He is telling us that He does not care how many times you have sinned and who you are, He just wants you to come to Him, for forgiveness.
“Those who trust in him shall understand truth, and the faithful shall abide with him in love.” The truth is very powerful. We must trust God that he loves us and he has a plan. Everything happens for a reason and we must relax knowing this. God loves us and will never stop loving us no matter how many times we sin.
To get to Heaven we have to grow in a relationship with God. We have to learn who he is and try our hardest not to turn our backs on Him. Even when we do, He still loves us. We have to do as much as we can to devote ourselves to Him.
God loves us a lot he sent his only son, Jesus, to die for us.
God is telling us not to be sad for our deceased loved ones because they are in a better place, and for us to start preparing to go to a better place. The better place is heaven. we can’t always be sad though we have to love God we no longer care that the dead are with us. not caring in the way you have such an intense gaze on God it can’t be broken.
If we want to be in eternal life with God we need to get a good and healthy relationship with him. We need to talk and listen to him. Jesus protects us everyday from evil spirits demons and more. every bad thing that happens in life is because of evil. Our goal in life is to live eternally with him.
What I think Jesus is telling me is that He will be there for me and that He will not reject me. He wants me to come to Him because He wants me to get to know him to get closer to him so that when I get to Heaven I can know Him.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God”
Even when you die you are never alone. You go to the hands of God, You are protected.
Today´s scripture taught me that god is always loving us. He is always with you. You have a choice in life. It is to either go the other way and not be with god. It is to go the right way with god and go to heaven.
Jesus says to us that He will not reject anybody that comes to us. That means that all we need to do to go to Heaven is go to Jesus and have Faith in him have Hope in Him that he will come back that he is not lying and that he is telling us the truth.
Death is not the end, and that a holy person is a happy person, but a happy person is not always holy. Through death we are lead to God and to eternal happiness in Heaven.
Something that stuck out to me is “because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” And it stuck out to me because it is saying that Jesus came down from heaven to save us all and do the will of God.
Today Jesus clarifies the reason that He created us, which got me thinking. Why are we created? Why wouldn’t He just send us up and have us be happy for the rest of eternity? But then I realized, this is just a test, it’s going to be nothing like how it will be in Heaven, it will be like putting a puppy next to a pig and telling which one a little girl would want more, knowing that it is a normal person and not some communist that would want a pig over a dog. So as long as we live a holy life down here and not use God as a slot machine, then we could have a better one up there.
everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day what this means is through are faith in Jesus we may live for eternity with him if we have no faith in him you will live for eternity but in the underworld and on the last day or the second coming he will raise are earthly bodies to heaven.
“EVERYONE WHO SEES THE SON AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE” Believing in Jesus is a choice. Jesus gave us free will so we could decide what we wanted to believe and not believe, what we wanted to do and not do, what we wanted to be and not be. It is completely up to us whether we put our faith in God or not, but ultimately, if we put our faith in him, we will receive eternal life.
I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me. I like this passage since it is saying He won’t reject you and will forever be with you. He will forgive you and still love you no matter what. We say no to Him and He still says yes to us. Jesus loves us no matter the cost and no matter if we reject Him he will never reject us!
god has your back and god is with you. we have to live our life to the fullist when i say this i dont mean going to partys and getting druck i mean living it to the fullist through and with god because one day we will get to heaven and nlive happily in peace forever.
Jesus talks about how everyone will die. There is no way out of death. Most people see death as a bad thing and are scared of dying but Jesus tells us that we will live with him, if we follow him, and get out bodies back at the second coming. Death is where we live with Jesus for ever and love him whole.
Jesus is telling us today that when we get to heaven, we will not have anything bad happen to us. We will have nothing sad, nothing depressing or anything bad in general. But only few will get to experience this. He says, “The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.” He also talks about how even though our physical bodies may not function our spiritual bodies will when we pass away. He is saying that Jesus loved all of us so much that He died for us to be saved and for us to not permanently pass away but to live when we die.
even through death, they still live. death is just a door to new life. all those who have passed before us are there up in Heaven watching over us. death is a part of life. and by dying, we are reborn into heaven. into eternal life.
This scripture is about how there is no heaven without God and you have to trust him and try to know him to get there.¨ Those who trust in him shall understand truth, and the faithful shall abide with him in love: because grace and mercy are with his holy ones, and his care is with his elect.¨ This is telling us pretty much what i just said another example is this, ¨For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that he wants to live with us in heaven. If we choose Jesus we live an eternall life filled with joy and hapiness. Jesus loves us so much and he gave us our own free will.
“because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” this is something that stuck out to me because Jesus is telling us that He is not there to do His will, but to do Gods will and to do what God wanted, to fulfill the old and new covenant and for Jesus to be a model of Holiness for us.
In the Gospel today Jesus tells us that all who are just will make it to heaven. He also says “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me.” God will NEVER ever reject you. He loves us that much no matter what things you have done good or bad God will never reject you. As Christians we know that there is an afterlife, we know this because the Lord tells us. Jesus says the just will go to heaven the love of our Savior will never be less and never be broken so let us be just and love Jesus back.
Today we pray for all of those souls suffering in purgatory so they can find there way to Heaven.
that you should pray for the dead, even if they are in heaven because God can take your prayer and turn it into something. Your prayers can really help all of the people in purgatory and can help them get to heaven. it makes the process faster.
he saints want to help us. They are constantly praying for us. We must ask for their intercession because they are right there with God. We must also pray for all of the souls in purgatory. They cannot do anything themselves to get to heaven.Today is the day we pray for the souls in purgatory so they can go up to heaven. This helps me to remember that I need to believe and trust.
Humbly submit your will to God to me this means that you can submit your will to God but this isn’t enough you need to do it humbly
Jesus protects us everyday from sin and demons.
todays scripture we learn that God is alive in use when we are Just he is always with us either way. Every bad thing that happened is a result of our sin. But even with that sin God still deeply loves us because we are made in his image and likeness.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that what ever is asked of God it shall be given. Unless for a specific reason.
“And I will not reject anyone who comes to me”. Jesus loves us all and won’t ever give up on us. He is always here with us with open arms ready to except us in his grace. He is always willing to forgive and will be here for eternity.
God is saying that he will never push someone away from him and their faith. He will always welcome you into the holy life. He will never reject you in life. God is always here for you and will never not be.
“Those who trust in Him shall understand the truth”.This is what stuck out to me because we need to trust in God and he will lead us to heaven just like how we pray for the ones in purgatory right now we pray for them.Today we pray for them on all souls day just like when we go to heaven and others will pray for us.
¨Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, ¨ What this is telling me is that if we are trouble that we should pray to God so that he can help us and guide us. and he will protect us from anything bad coming our way like evil.
FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF MY FATHER,THAT EVERYONE WHO SEES THE SON AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND I SHALL RAISE HIM ON THE LAST DAY. this really stuck out to me cause it just like feels like it just stuck to me
like jesus tells us that we need to believe in him so he may help us. and i have a mug that says faith is not believing god can its knowing that he will
Jesus is saying he does not reject you even if you did something really bad it hurts him if you dont follow him and wanna walk in his footsteps. Just because you did something wrong he will forgive like none other. If you do bad to someone else they’ll take a while to forgive you or not forgive you. but jesus loves you and cares for you. you should give a little things back and he’ll do the big things and change your life.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace.” This stuck out to me because it’s telling me that when our material bodies die we are fully our spiritual self, hopefully in heaven with all the saints and angels.
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God,and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead and theirpassing away was thought an afflictionand their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace. For if before men, indeed, they be punished, yet is their hope full of immortality;chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed, because God tried them and found them worthy of himself.”
I think this scripture means that even if we dont follow Christ, and we sin he still wont be mad and will still protect us from harm.
”For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.” this quote is very meaningful. the Lord just wants to guide us and help us get to heaven.
In today’s reading it tells we shouldn’t throw away what god gives us but raise it up to him. We should never stop praying for the lord is with thee and we should gift him with our praise love and prays as he has done to us. Let the lord guide on our journey towards the lord.
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me” I think Jesus is trying to tell us that he loves everyone and I think Jesus is trying to say he will accept anyone.
Jesus is trying to tell us that there is always a place for us in purgatory or heaven. “No torment shall touch them”, Jesus won’t reject ANYONE. We need to do the will of God in order to have eternal life.
The scripture is telling me that God gave us life so that we can worship him and love him. He wants the best for us and wants us all to go to heaven and have eternal life with him.
“And I shall raise him on the last day” This is proof that Jesus will come again at the end of time.
God has given Jesus all things and he waits to give it to us till we believe in him fully and trust him. We need to see the good in our bodies and not throw it aside like junk a body is what keeps us in check, keeps us humble. “He also gave us a body to help the least of His people and be missionaries in our own homes. Use your body for good.” This is what stuck out to me most in today’s scriptures
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.” What this is telling me is that God will always help us because God will never reject you and he comes to us with his arms open there is also a purpose for us and everything else on this earth.
I recently began to pay more attention to peoples assumptions about god. “If god exists, why do bad things happen?, you may have heard this before, “Our parents only discipline us because they love us.”This is also true about gods love for us. He only lets these things happen because he knows absolutely everything that will happen to us and what it will result in. Nothing has “no purpose”. Everything is meant to happen by god.
I think Jesus is telling us that we should pray for everyone, even the dead. We should go to Heaven and be with Jesus and will not reject anything coming at us. “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anything that comes to me. This part struck me out because we should all go to Heaven and not reject anything. God will always love us and he wants to be with us.
like jesus tells us that we need to believe in him so he may help us. and i have a mug that says faith is not believing god can its knowing that he will
“Today we pray for all of those souls suffering in purgatory.” it means we need to pray for everyone and everything that is waiting for who knows how long until they can go to heaven. I feel like we need to do everything we can in our life to not sin so we don’t have to suffer in purgatory for a long time. The paragraph also says the people in purgatory fully rely on the prayers of the saints and our prayers. So God can’t help the people in purgatory anymore and it’s all up to us to help whoever’s souls are in there. When we do pray for the people they can get out and we will always be a hero in their eyes. We saved them.
This scripture is telling us that God is always trying to guide us, even though it may not seem. My grandma taught me that when she dies it’s gonna be a tough time and I will have plenty more tough times but I can’t look at God and ask why me, or do you still love me. I think that’s what most catholic’s and christains struggle with. Instead of saying why me say try me because he’s still with you. Your either with him or against him
God said that he knew these people were worthy to be with him and that he had hit gold. He would throw them in the furnace. God said that he wouldn’t decline anyone that came to him. If they asked why he came down to earth he would tell them it was God’s will not his.
