Humbly submit your will to God and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds.
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed
that a person took and sowed in a field.
It is the smallest of all the seeds,
yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants.
It becomes a large bush,
and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.”  MT 13:31-35

Parables are earthly stories with a heavenly meaning.  Jesus speaks in parables to the crowds using things they are familiar with to explain the Kingdom of heaven.  Today, Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom of heaven had small and humble beginnings (when the blood and water gush forth from Jesus’ side), but continues to grow and be filled with saints.  It also marks the small beginnings of the Church, the mystical Body of Christ.  At Pentecost, 3000 people were baptized at the Jewish festival.  The Church continued to grow quickly to the point it began to be persecuted.  What are we doing to help the Catholic Church grow and help people get to heaven?

Today’s challenge: Help someone get to heaven today.  Pray for a soul in purgatory, change something in yourself to help you be a better model of Christ for others, be a missionary in your own home!
