Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

“There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed,
nor secret that will not be known.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness
will be heard in the light,
and what you have whispered behind closed doors
will be proclaimed on the housetops.
I tell you, my friends,
do not be afraid of those who kill the body
but after that can do no more.
I shall show you whom to fear.
Be afraid of the one who after killing
has the power to cast into Gehenna;
yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.
Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?
Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God.
Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.
Do not be afraid.
You are worth more than many sparrows.” Lk 12:1-7

There are times I don’t feel important even when I am around people and family all day.  We all have times in our life when we have been criticized or put down.  Today, Jesus teaches us that we have great worth or value, our human dignity.  When God created us He said our creation was “very good”.  ”Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.”
Sometimes I struggle to hold myself accountable, but as I have grown older I am realizing more and more how my decisions effect my life and those around me.  The harder decisions and the ones that require more sacrifice are always the ones that bring the greatest reward and draw me to be more holy.  It is silly for us to think that we are getting away with something when we are behind closed doors, God sees everything.  God knows us better than we know ourselves, “There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops.”  We will be judged and held accountable.  We are in control of our decisions and each one has a positive or negative consequence. Don’t be surprised or try to defend yourself when you have made a bad choice.  Learn from it, reconcile yourself with God, dust yourself off and keep trying to grow in holiness with God’s grace, an open mind, and an open heart.  Most importantly, try to love more by serving others.

Today’s challenge: You have great worth you come from God, believe in yourself.  Hold yourself accountable because God will.

Be a servant, become a saint!
