Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

“MOREOVER, BETWEEN US AND YOU A GREAT CHASM IS ESTABLISHED TO PREVENT ANYONE FROM CROSSING WHO MIGHT WISH TO GO FROM OUR SIDE TO YOURS OR FROM YOUR SIDE TO OURS.” LK 16:19-31

Jesus teaches us today what happens if we don’t bring the Gospel to people. We have one shot to get this right (#Christian YOLO). This is why God gives us time, He likes to see things grow. We may not get it right the first time and we may need more time to get it right. We are living in the end times, the times after Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus can come back at any time for the Second Coming. “If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.” We have the Word of God in the Bible, God’s breath, to teach us how to gain salvation (God’s will for us: He has one great desire, that you and I are with Him in heaven, our salvation-Pope Francis) and lead others to Christ. We have the Holy Spirit to guide us and lead us to virtue.

Today’s Gospel teaches us there are no second chances when it comes to eternal life. The time we have here is a gift. Since Jesus rose from the dead, this life is not the final horizon. We are made for a spiritual homeland. It is time to start rearranging our priorities and live putting our full trust in God. Today is a great time to rearrange priorities and dust away the cobwebs of a hardened heart. It is a time to love our soul more than our body. We cannot take THINGS, power, money, pleasure or honor (4 things we must despise that we think will make us happy-St. Thomas Aquinas). All we can take is the times we were unselfish and put others before self, the times we loved as Jesus loves us.

Today’s challenge: Live like today is your last day on earth. What would you do differently? What legacy do you want to leave behind. Most regrets on death beds are not loving as much as they should have; love of spouse, love of parents, love of children, or spending more time with God and family. Put down your electronics and spend time loving God and family. There are no second chances after we die. We don’t know the day or the hour the Master will return. We don’t know when God is going to call our number. Most importantly, He just wants to be your best friend!

Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YOLO

God is telling us that we have time to spread the gospel. When we spread the gospel we get to heaven and whenever we say we dont have time or we are busy we will allways have time.

“Today’s Gospel teaches us there are no second chances when it comes to eternal life. The time we have here is a gift. Since Jesus rose from the dead, this life is not the final horizon.” This part stuck out to me because I like the message it conveys. It tells us that we should take things for granted because someday you will not have them and then you will be angry that you took them for granted. Spend your time on earth wisely so you don’t regret it.

Today’s Gospel is about A poor man that has a bunch of sores and when he dies he asks God to have pity on him because he must of been a sinner during his life and now he is in puragtory. “And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,”. “And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me.”

This gospel tells us that God likes to see things on earth grow. He wants to see our faith and our trust in Him grow. If people had ignored Moses and the Prophets, how will they know that Jesus can save us? If it were to be our last day on earth, what would we be doing? We should be asking God for his love and mercy so that when the time has come, we may see each other in heaven with Jesus Christ.

A thing that stuck out to me today was that the man said that Lazarus was not tormented or suffering after his sadness and loneliness in life while the rich man dressed in purple garment wouldn’t give Lazarus nothing. So when the rich man in the purple robes came to the end of his life the man said you shall suffer in eternity because you lived great in this life. I just can’t see this happening I feel like God would not punish someone for eternity because he was not nice to one man.

“We may not get it right the first time and we may need more time to get it right.“ That stuck out to me because what I get from that is even when we do something wrong like sinning we need time to get ourselves back up. When we sin God is always open arms and always forgiving. He does not care how long it takes, He is always rooting you on and waiting for the right time.

What I got from this Reflection was that you only have one chance to live right. You have to show God that you are worthy. You don’t get any second chances because neither did Jesus when humanity killed Him. We have to live according to the Scripture and we can’t let anybody get in the way of our beliefs.

We want all of the people in this world to know that God is real so they can have a better chance to getting to heaven and so they don’t miss out on fun stuff. That is why it is important to share and spread the word of God.

The point of today’s gospel is it doesn’t matter how wealthy you are it only matters how much you love God. If you are wealthy and still love God over anything even your money it is fine. It is a lot easier to go away from God when more money than you can handle. No amount of money in the world is better than God.

Today’s scripture reflection reminded me of what lent is all about. It reminded me that we need to repent till it comes time for Jesus to die and resurrect. At the end of lent Jesus is gonna rise up to heaven and open up the gates of heaven for us. So we need to get ourselves prepared for our everlasting life for when it does come time in Heaven.

Something that I got out of this was that we can not enter into heaven if the only thing that we care about is money, and materialistic things, and I know that everybody says it, and you probably don’t even pay attention to it when somebody talks about, but the reason why people say this so much is because it’s true. If we worship our money, our job, or our phones, than how our we going to worship God, so we need to put aside the things of this world, and go follow Jesus.

Today Jesus is telling me there is only one shot at life. When we die that is when we either spend time with God for eternity or spend time with the devil forever. There is no second chance. We need to give up all material things and find a relationship with God if we want to spend eternity with Him. We never know when our time is up. So, be ready every minute of every day.

Just like this says there might be a chasm between heaven and hell that separates them. We should try to make a chasm/wall in our brain to try to keep bad thoughts the devil might put in our brain away from us.

Today, I felt like the gospel was telling us that if we live our lives without any attachment to worldly things then you will probably be better off. And while it is still okay to enjoy things of this world we have to keep in mind that we are not of this world and therefore those things will not satisfy us. Things of God are the only things who can truly satisfy us so we should seek those instead of those things that will once again leave us empty.

We need to be aware of what we are doing and we need to be kind. Jesus guides our choices but we have a free will and it is up to us to decide. In the end, God will make the final decision so we need to be careful of our actions because they will be shown again on judgement day.

This is why God gives us time, He likes to see things grow. He wants it to take time he doesn’t want it to be rushed. Like when you are making someone into a saint. That takes a long time. When a plant is growing it doesn’t just pop up like nothing. It takes days, weeks, months, etc. Our love for God is a slow process. That is why we have to pray daily.

For if the rich man had given Lazarus anything to eat or drink, he may have gone to Heaven. This verse is not telling us to be poor, but to give to others some of what you have.

This scriptures is telling us that whoever crosses from ours to yours or from yours to ours tells us that God won’t make others cross heaven to earth or earth to heaven. This is judgement because God judges us at the end of our life based on what we have done as sin and we get put into Heaven or Hell. This is our challenge for us in life. Whether we do we will have consequences in life as our actions. The way we can get closer to God is to have a relationship with God. If we don’t have a relationship with God. Then there is no love. We won’t have eternal life without that. God won’t let us or others cross from yours to ours or ours to yours. We have a secret place with God and that’s our place of peace, quiet, and prayer. This is our place to get a relationship if we have other love in between which is fine but this is greater love than the love on earth. We shall wait for the father in eternal life.

So if you are nice and kind and gentile towards all kind of people you will get to Heaven. If you curse people and look down on people and act like you are better then someone you will go to Hell. I feel like that line in the scripture describes all of us. We are trying to get back to God and are burning in a place where people try to pull us away from God. Jesus is trying to tell us that when we withhold from others, we will never be satisfied, we will only want more and more and will never share. Like the rich man he didn’t give to the poor and even let his dogs lick at Lazarus’s sores. The rich man went to hell because he had all of his pleasures on earth. Lazarus on the other hand was a poor beggar, he would feed on what little scraps the dogs left, and since he went through great suffering on earth he went to heaven.

We may not get it right the first time and we may need more time to get it right. It takes time is my favorite. Everything takes time if you want it to or not. It is important to take the time of what god gives you so you can do it right. It is also fine if you fail if you fail that means that you were close to right and you need to keep trying till you get it right.

I think what Jesus is saying to us is that we will never be satisfied with what we have in our lives. That we will always want more than what we actually have. But we need to learn that that’s not what life is about, we have gotten so much in our lives and we don’t even realize it. We need to be happy with what we have and not keep wanting more.

We don’t have any second chances, this is the only one. Right here right now you have to be Holy be going to confession going to Sunday mass everything. We could die at any moment or Christ could make his second coming at any point in any day, we must be prepared for that to the fullest extent.

We should strive to be helpful and good to others so that we may make it into heaven because God wants us to love each other and be in harmony and peace with one another even if you don’t like someone and you say you hate someone they are still a child of God and made in Gods image and to say we hate God even though all he does is give us love means we shouldn’t be with him for the rest of eternity.

He said, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'” We are like this sometimes we always want something to prove to us that God is real but that isn’t true faith we have to wholly believe that Jesus loves us and He will save us. We only get one chance to be up there with Him. Only one life to live before heaven.

our life had two parts. one on earth and one in the spiritual realm. if we are holy on earth, we holy in heaven. if we are evil to others, we are evily treated in hell. our actions all have effects. it’s the good ones that get us into heaven.

Something that stuck out to me today was that “This is why God gives us time, He likes to see things grow.” this stuck out to me because God knows i keep making mistakes and sinning but he doesn’t jut leave me behind he waits for me and goes on with me instead of without.

In today’s Gospel Jesus is telling us that when we receive bad things in our life or we have a bad or struggling life, when we die it will be better than living on earth. Abraham replied, ‘My child,
remember that you received what was good during your lifetime
    while Lazarus likewise received what was bad;
but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.
What Abraham was saying is that we can always rely on God to do good and comfort us in our life. We can’t just rely on ourselves.

God does not wish for us to go to hell, but he still lets us make our own decisions. Lazarus and the Rich man is an exemplary tale of this. he does wrong, and so Jesus must allow him to and let him go to hell. God asks us to do good and to try to follow his way.

God is telling us that we should trust in Him so we can get to Heaven. God gave all of us free will so we can decide our life and path. “MOREOVER, BETWEEN US AND YOU A GREAT CHASM IS ESTABLISHED TO PREVENT ANYONE FROM CROSSING WHO MIGHT WISH TO GO FROM OUR SIDE TO YOURS OR FROM YOUR SIDE TO OURS.” This struck me because God trusts us to be good.

Now if you are going to Confession when you do act like the rich which everyone does then you will also be saved. Are we helping out others, are we truly living out the faith, are we believing God is real? God will not stop loving us, ever. The Holy Spirit is so powerful that it pulls me to get closer to God.

If we are poor in life, we will be fulfilled in heaven. If we are uncomfortable and in pain in life, we will be comfortable and without pain in heaven.
If we give up material possessions, and live a life pf poverty, and faithfulness in Christ, we will be fulfilled and happy forever under Gods wing.

We have the Word of God in the Bible, God’s breath, to teach us how to gain salvation (God’s will for us: He has one great desire, that you and I are with Him in heaven.
All God wants is for all of us to go to Heaven. The Bible teaches us how to go to Heaven and praying helps us gain salvation.

In the Gospel, there is a rich man and a poor man. The rich man wouldn’t let the poor man even eat the scraps that fell from his table. When the rich man and the poor man died, the rich man went to hell and the poor man went to heaven. In hell, the rich man begged Abraham to save him and to warn his family and friends about what would happen to them if they treated others and God the way they did. But Abraham told him that his family and friends had the prophets to show them how they should act. I think this Gospel is telling us that if we listen to what the prophets and Jesus taught us we will be saved.
