Prayer Prompt before reading MT 26:14-25: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and God the Son are so that I may know who I am.

“WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE ME IF I HAND HIM OVER TO YOU?” MT 26:14-25

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Judas betrayed Jesus for about $250 in today’s money. One silver coin was worth 4 days’ wages of manual labor, so depending on what type of job it could be worth more like $4800 up to $18,000. Judas and our sins put Jesus on the cross. Sin is very serious and has serious consequences. Sin is its own consequence.

It results in shame, guilt, addiction, and hurts relationships. Sin hurts us and the people around us. It’s all about relationships. Jesus was betrayed by one of His closest followers. Oh, how much it hurts when we are betrayed by one of our closest loved ones and friends.

God wants our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. He is all in. He gives all. He is forever faithful. He is love-it’s all He can do. Love wills the good of the other. God ALWAYS wills our good. If anything bad happens to us, it is a result of sin. His love is a sacrificial love which brings forth a new life for us to live free of sin and death forever with him in heaven.

A free sacramental gift of Himself that transforms us. What is something you have given all to? What were the results? Now, think about what would happen if you do this in your spiritual life with God who has the power to heal, save, raise, and love.

Today’s challenge: Ask for forgiveness to those you have betrayed. This Holy Week go all in with God and see what happens. Worry less about money, power, pleasure, honor, and more about your soul.

Be a servant, become a saint!
