“O WOMAN, GREAT IS YOUR FAITH! LET IT BE DONE FOR YOU AS YOU WISH.” MT 15:21-28

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Prayer Prompt before reading MT 15:21-28: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and Son are so that I may know who I am.

“It is not right to take the food of the children (Israelite’s-the chosen people) and throw it to the dogs (Gentiles-non-Jews and not the chosen people).” ”Please, Lord for even the dogs (Gentiles) eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters (God’s mercy for all).” The woman’s faith in Jesus’s Word just like the centurion who asked Jesus to heal his servant shows the power of faith.

We, too, have an opportunity to believe in and ask for the power of Jesus in our lives. Both people were in need of a miracle of healing for someone close to them. They had such great faith that they did not even ask Jesus to come and touch those that needed healed. They believed He could heal just with His words.

The Centurion’s words of faith are honored in our Mass in which we say, “Lord, I am not worthy for you to enter under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant (soul) will be healed, ” before we receive the healing power of the Eucharist at Mass. Do we really take time to think about this powerful experience and what is truly happening?

Today, many miracles continue to happen through God’s word. Jesus is always waiting with open arms to all who believe in Him. Whether He is physically present or not His power still reigns and miracles are being performed all over the world through the Holy Spirit. Do you have the courage to believe? When is the last time you asked Jesus for a miracle?

Today’s challenge: Believe that your prayers are being answered if God wills it. Increase your faith by reading the Scriptures daily. Sit in silence and be at peace with Jesus. Go to Mass and see the miracle of Christ hidden behind bread and wine with His words of consecration at the Last Supper. Keep a spiritual book close by.

Be a servant, be a saint today!
