Humbly submit your will to God (thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven) in the Lord’s Prayer.  Consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Peter began to say to Jesus,
‘We have given up everything and followed you.”
Jesus said, “Amen, I say to you,
there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters
or mother or father or children or lands
for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel
who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age:
houses and brothers and sisters
and mothers and children and lands,
with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come.
But many that are first will be last, and the last will be first.” Mk 10:28-31

Jesus makes a bold statement today.  He strikes right at the heart of the most important people in our lives, our families. Jesus knows how near and dear to our heart these people are.  He also strikes at all that we have worked for (lands).  He is making a strong point.  He is telling us that He and the Words in the Gospel are more important than our families and all that we have ever worked hard for. This is powerful.  He also points out that if we truly put Him first and most important in our lives we will be repaid “a hundred fold in this lifetime and gain eternal life in the age to come.”

God first, family second, ourselves last because “many that are first will be last, and the last will be first.”
