Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi
he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter said in reply,
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my Church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”  MT 16:13-19

Today, on this feast of the chair of St. Peter, where we believe the pope cannot err in faith and morals, we learn why we believe this with the words of Jesus to St. Peter,
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my Church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
The Church is guided by the Holy Spirit, the head is Jesus Christ, the Christ Vicar is the pope, and we are the body made up of many parts.  We are called to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to spread the Good News.  The pope is called to keep the revealed Truths of Christ from being attacked by heresy and to bring Christ to the world.  We are temples of the Holy Spirit, may we fight with the Holy Spirit starting in our minds to fight Satan and grow in holiness so that “the netherworld will not prevail against us”.

Today’s challenge: Protect what God has blessed us with.  Read and learn the revealed Truths of Christ in the Scriptures so we can dialogue our faith with others.  Watch Pope Francis General Audiences on Rome Reports.com so that you can be led by the one who has been called to lead us.

Be a servant, become a saint!
