and house will fall against house.
And if Satan is divided against himself,
how will his kingdom stand?
For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons.
If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul,
by whom do your own people drive them out?
Therefore they will be your judges.
But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons,
then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
When a strong man fully armed guards his palace,
his possessions are safe.
But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him,
he takes away the armor on which he relied
and distributes the spoils.
Whoever is not with me is against me,
and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Lk 11:14-23
Apply this Gospel to your family, your friendships, relationships with coworkers, with all teams, but most importantly your relationship with God. Every one of these groups and relationships cease to work if they are divided against itself. There are battles daily sometimes in your mind with temptation in relationships. Jesus makes it very clear that no matter how ready we are or how strong we are, there is one more powerful than us who will “attack and overcome us, take away the armor on which we relied.” Jesus then tells us who can help us fight evil, death, and the chains of sin which are our enemy each day. “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Lk 11:23
In light of March Madness and filling out brackets, Jesus tells us who the winner is in the real battle today. The difficulty lies in choosing even after we know who the winner is. We have our fallen human nature, worldly desires, and a very strong fallen angel against us. We must realize no matter how ready we are, how much money we have, how powerful of a position we are in, how perfect we think we are, how strong we are, there is one more powerful than us. Humble thyself, deny thyself, pick up your cross, and follow the One Winner-Jesus Christ.

This Scripture is telling us that we may think that it isn’t God that drives out demons, but really He is. He is healing us through others, or Jesus.
