Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Peter and John were going up to the temple area
for the three o’clock hour of prayer.
And a man crippled from birth was carried
and placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate” every day
to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple.
When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple,
he asked for alms.
But Peter looked intently at him, as did John,
and said, “Look at us.”
He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold,
but what I do have I give you:
in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.”
Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up,
and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong.
He leaped up, stood, and walked around,
and went into the temple with them,
walking and jumping and praising God.
When all the people saw him walking and praising God,
they recognized him as the one
who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple,
and they were filled with amazement and astonishment
at what had happened to him. Acts 3:1-10
As Christians we are called to help others, the greatest in need. We are to take care of those who nobody else will even come close to. Today, Peter must have felt something inside of him, maybe compassion for the cripple. Do you have the urge inside of you to help the least of God’s people? It is interesting to me who Peter is so interested in helping after Christ’s resurrection. How does Peter know what to say to heal the man, “in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” This reminds me of, “Every knee shall bend in the heavens, on the earth, and under the earth to the name Jesus Christ.”
I am crippled in many ways, I think we all are in some way. Matthew Kelly, in his book “Rediscover Jesus” reminds us that we all have blind spots. Things others recognize in us that we don’t see in ourselves. Things our pride and ego have pushed away for so long we totally miss them about ourselves. The things people never say to us but talk to others about because they don’t want to hurt our feelings. We all need Jesus Christ the Nazorean to heal us. When we recognize our brokenness and come to Jesus for healing we will be “walking and jumping and praising God.”
That very day, the first day of the week,
two of Jesus’ disciples were going
to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus,
and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred.
And it happened that while they were conversing and debating,
Jesus himself drew near and walked with them,
but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him.
He asked them,
“What are you discussing as you walk along?”
They stopped, looking downcast.
One of them, named Cleopas, said to him in reply,
“Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem
who does not know of the things
that have taken place there in these days?”
And he replied to them, “What sort of things?”
They said to him,
“The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene,
who was a prophet mighty in deed and word
before God and all the people,
how our chief priests and rulers both handed him over
to a sentence of death and crucified him.
But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel;
and besides all this,
it is now the third day since this took place.
Some women from our group, however, have astounded us:
they were at the tomb early in the morning
and did not find his Body;
they came back and reported
that they had indeed seen a vision of angels
who announced that he was alive.
Then some of those with us went to the tomb
and found things just as the women had described,
but him they did not see.”
And he said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are!
How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke!
Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things
and enter into his glory?”
Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets,
he interpreted to them what referred to him
in all the Scriptures.
As they approached the village to which they were going,
he gave the impression that he was going on farther.
But they urged him, “Stay with us,
for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.”
So he went in to stay with them.
And it happened that, while he was with them at table,
he took bread, said the blessing,
broke it, and gave it to them.
With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him,
but he vanished from their sight.
Then they said to each other,
“Were not our hearts burning within us
while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?”
So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem
where they found gathered together
the Eleven and those with them who were saying,
“The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!”
Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way
and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread. Lk 24:13-35
Does Jesus need to come back for us to know everything we need to know about how we are saved? Jesus said to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, “Oh how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” Then, Jesus proceeds to talk about all of the prophecies He fulfilled. When asked, “How are you saved or why did you need a Savior, can you answer it? Most Catholics can’t. This might be “put in your mirror” material, so get ready to write it down.
1. Jesus Christ had to die and rise. (God redeeming His people after the fall of Adam and Eve; Jesus is the new Adam, Mary is the second Eve) There in the Garden Adam and Eve sinned, there in the Garden lies the tomb Jesus resurrected from.
2. You must repent and be baptized. (Repent means to change the way you think about everything, ugghhh! This is our response to God’s love and mercy for His people; allow God to transform you with His grace) We have to eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood; receive the Eucharist to have eternal life.
3. We must live our Baptismal promises out daily. I reject Satan. I believe Jesus is the Son of God (Creed)… (Are you rejecting Satan and fighting sin with a resolute heart? When falling are you going to confession often? We have amnesia (forget a lot) so we need to remind ourselves of what we believe daily through reading the Scriptures and the catechism (Youcat-did you ask for one for Easter?) We cannot worship something we do not know and you will live what you believe. Is the Word of God forming you or Youtube, Netflix, and video games? So, what do you believe? Your eternal state which cannot be changed depends on it. Live with the end in mind.
Last, Jesus uses the breaking of the bread to reveal Himself to the disciples. On Passover, Holy Thursday, He gives us Himself in the bread and wine until He returns. Do you believe the Eucharist is Jesus Christ? Think about it next time you go to Mass. Jesus says we must eat His flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life. This is serious and a requirement! Buy a book about the Eucharist and read it before Mass. The Youcat says the origin of the liturgy/Mass is God. It is when He gives Himself to us, He cannot give any more than Himself! We must get to Mass more often. Honestly, what do we really believe in? We can’t worship or build a relationship with someone we don’t know.
Today’s challenge: Recognize we are crippled and we need Jesus the Nazorean to help us leap for joy into heaven. Be able to answer how we are saved as Christians (this is your Christian identity-we can’t live out something we can’t identify with) and most importantly live it-become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
Be a believer, become a saint!
Jesus Christ, I believe, help my unbelief!
This shows us that we need to show compassion for the crippled because many don’t show compassion for them.
We are all broken in some way or another. What we need to do is trust God and listen to Him, and He will heal us from whatever brokenness we have.
What U learned from this gospel today is that we should love everyone even though they are different. People being different makes our world, our world. God loved everyone, so we should love everyone. God taught us to love everyone and everything and we should also listen to our God.
This shows us that we need to show compassion for the crippled because some don’t.
In God’s name anything is possible. With the power of God he can heal us. We are all some what crippled from sin. God forgives our sin and heals us like God healed the cripple. Anything is possible in the word of God.
This shows Jesus can do anything. If we put our full faith in Jesus He will help us with the hardships in our lives and help us carry our crosses. We just can’t be afraid to ask God because He says ask and you shall receive, and knock and the door shall be opened.
I think this is saying that we need to help others. The Bible tells us that we are obligated to help the poor, and we are. We should be compassionate toward everyone, because that’s what a good person would do, and we’re Christians.
Today the scripture is telling me that we do not give worldly things to people. As Catholics, we give spiritual gifts. We help people with the inside. We help give to the poor, but our first job is to help people in their spiritual life.
Everyone has some sort of disability. It could be mental, physical, or spiritual. Like the man in the gospel, he couldn’t walk and yet Peter helped him stand up and he walked.
Peter heals the cripple who sat near the temple area. He healed him in the name of Jesus. Jesus can heal us in all sorts of ways, not just physically.
Jesus is always willing to help us, but we have to ask. Jesus has done everything for us, even died. He wants the best for us, even if that means we have to work hard. Jesus didn’t come to make life easy, He came to help us with a hard life.
This scripture is saying to call or look to Jesus when we need him and always trust that he can heal and he will answer our prayers. We need to always spread the word of God.
“I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” The man did not expect to be healed, but Peter healed him through the power of God and the Holy Spirit. Jesus gives us more than what we deserve.
If you are looking for something nothing will be given to you but if you are humble and kind you shall receive many gifts. God gives many gifts but you don’t no what they are until they are gone and sometimes the gifts are someone or something leaving.
Are we blind to the Lord, as to not recognize the things he has done? He has redeemed us from sin and death, yet we pass as if nothing happened. We are made with a purpose but we barely look at it! Are we to go day by day without knowing our Lord? We are His sons and daughters, and we are to serve Him and Him alone! We are to carry our crosses and follow Him. Love conquers all, but we must accept it.
Even if we are crippled, Jesus can help us.
In today’s scripture I take away from it that we need to listen to God. When He is calling for us we need to be ready and listen to Him. Lots of people nowadays ignore it but we need to make sure we listen for His calling.
I think this scripture is saying that Jesus can do anything. He even gave his apostles the right to heal people. He really can do anything and He will. In the scripture it says,”Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong.
A part of being a disciple of Christ is compassion. We have to learn how to be kind to others around us. Like Peter and the cripple. Being kind to each other is an act of holiness, the simplest one. If we can show generosity and compassion we can grow closer to Jesus, to Heaven
In today’s reading “and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God” stuck out to me because even as a poor disabled he still remembered God and choose to praise him in a way that showed everyone that he believed.
The way God works his miracles is always amazing. This time, He worked through Peter and John. They helped a man that was disabled from birth, letting him walk again, and he immediately started praising God with Peter and John. I think this is heartwarming, because he was not only happy, but he didn’t forget to praise God.
Peter can do these things because he believes fully in the power of God and had no doubts in his faith. he knew Jesus and he knew he was the savior and that is why he can do what he did.
In the Gospel Peter heals a crippled man. Even if we’re not God we can still spread the word of God to other people. We can show people how God can help us in acts of kindness. We are Gods Disciples and we need to show people that we are.
Today the Scripture is talking about the Gate and we can think of that Gate as the Gate to Heaven and to get there we have to do the good things and the good things lead us up those stairs and to the Gate but when we do the bad we are walking back down those Stairs. We want to try our best to walk up to the Stairs of Heaven and Unlock the Gate and the Key is your kindness and your prayers and all the good you do to unlock the Gate.
This is telling me that anything is possible through Christ. It shows how Jesus will always be there for us through thick and thin, and that he never leaves our side. We need to realize that more and believe more so we can go to Heaven with the Man that has stuck with us and will never leave us.
This means that everybody recognises God in heaven
What reached out to me was when it said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you”. We don’t need to be rich to offer anything up to God. We can offer our time and talent up to God. Anything that’s truly from the heart will be enough.
Jesus will help us in times when we need Him. We just have to be patient and wait for Him. He will hear our prays if we continue to pray to Him and stay on the right path.
Jesus will help us in times when we need Him. We just have to be patient and wait for Him. He will hear our prayers if we continue to pray to Him and stay on the right path.
This scripture is saying that when peter saw the person he did´t have money or anything but he gave the person something that would help the person and Peter did this because he had the urge to help other when they need it,and it kinda reflect to us to because helping others is a good thing it helps with stewardship and our faith and since we are all children of God might want us to help the sick and poor or just anybody in general
I think this scripture is telling us to realize that we should recognize Jesus in every little thing. No matter how big or small. We can realize God’s love for us everyday only if we focus on it. Then when we focus on the good, we don’t think so much about the bad, then our lives will be much happier.
We all go through strugiles in life God can help us overcome anything
To me it sounds like the people Jesus is talking to kind of lost faith. The reason I say this is because it said that they were hoping the Lord will redeem Israel. It is hard to believe everything that the Lord is saying because it has never been done. But Jesus always knows what he is talking about. ALWAYS TRUST
I can apply this gospel to my life by praying and asking God to forgive me.
The scripture today was telling us to help everybody. We should help anyone from the poorest person from somebody that has all the money in the world. We help anyone no matter the circumstance.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that we need to repent and be sorry for our sins. It is also telling us that we need to follow God, and reject Satan. We also need to truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and he died on the cross for us.
What stood out to me was “WITH THAT THEIR EYES WERE OPENED AND THEY RECOGNIZED HIM, BUT HE VANISHED FROM THEIR SIGHT.” It stood out to me because when Jesus lives again He opens everyone’s eyes and they realize that He is the messiah. He will open our eyes every time we should do something good. God will always forgive us.
“WITH THAT THEIR EYES WERE OPENED AND THEY RECOGNIZED HIM, BUT HE VANISHED FROM THEIR SIGHT.” we don´t need to see Jesus to believe in him. believing is not seeing.
I think the scripture today is telling us to open are eyes to the goodness of Jesus.
what the scripture is telling me is that you dont need physical things to prove who you are or what you have. but you can help others in need to prove what you are capable of.
We all have our problems in life and receiving Jesus in Mass through the bread and wine at Communion is a wonderful way for all of us to remember that God is always with us through the roughest times and the greatest times. Following Jesus is what will get us to Heaven.
“I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you” We should give people kindness. We don’t have to give money but we can pray. Prayer is just as good as a gift as money.
Peter and John saw the man on the street begging and said to him, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you:
in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Then the man went with them to praise and worship God. It is amazing what people can do, when they are given just a bit of hope and faith.
“Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong.” Here, Peter performed a miracle. The crippled man was a beggar, begging people for money or food. When Peter walked by, he told the man that he would not be given any money from him, but what Peter gave to the man was better than any money or food. Peter changed the man’s life. If peter can pray for people and perform miracles, we might be able to someday as well. We can’t lose hope, we just have to pray.
Jesus has done so much for us. He died on the cross FOR us. When Jesus rose from the dead some people did not believe it. He cares for us so much but some people don’t know how important that is. When Jesus went to Mary She did’t know it was him at first but then she recognized him and rejoiced in happiness.
I think that this is reminding us to open up to Jesus. The one person that you can go to for help, even if it is the worst sin or problem, Jesus is the man to go to. We should speak to him like we speak to our friends and family.
I think this is saying that we must always be always ready and aware that God is there and that we must always try to do our best.
“The Lord has truly been raised.” When these beautiful words are proclaimed, I think it comes down to faith. Do you believe? Do you truly with all your heart believe? I think that since it is something that is so unexplainable, it makes it hard to believe. But in the end, it all comes down to faith. Do you believe the message? Do you believe He has risen from the dead? It’s so extraordinary that it’s considered “impossible.” But as the quote goes, nothing is impossible for God. Since saving us from sin was God’s intention, Jesus Christ truly rose from the dead. Believe it.
In Scripture, the man wanted money, but through the power of Jesus, Peter gave him the ability to walk. God is always with us , and He can give us a miracle even when we least expect it. God loves us and cares for us.
God tells us to open our eyes so we can see him. He wants us to get a relationship with Him so we can see and hear Him.
I think this is saying that this is the time for the LORD and we need to give Him our everything. Let us rejoices and be glad for he has finally resurrected!
I think that this Gospel passage is trying to tell me is to be ready for when the Lord comes. God will come again, we need to be ready; free of any sin, willing to die for Him and our Faith, actually believing in Him and love Him.
We need to trust God, and his plan for us. Lately, I have been trying to control everything myself, and God is here for us, he wants us to give him everything and we try our best and let him do the rest.
“I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” In today’s gospel we are being told that all things are possible through Christ, even if the physical man himself has ascended into Heaven, he still has power on Earth in the Holy Spirit, God takes care of us, and we are healed in the name of Jesus Christ.
We the people need to focus on Jesus and take the right path. WE the people just go through the motions when it comes to prayer and spending time with Jesus. I need to work on not going through the motions and follow the right path which will lead me closer to God and Heaven.
God is the perfect One. We tend to think that we are perfect but God is the only perfect One. We need to accept that God is perfect.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that we all need to try our best everday.
Today, a man is healed with the power of Jesus Christ. This proves to us that God can do anything, even healing a man who could not walk. This man who probably had been bullied his entire life for his conditon, is suddenly healed with Power of Jesus Christ the Nazorean. This man was filled with the power of God and became healthy again. This is the true power of God
Jesus made himself known by the Breaking of the Bread just like the Passover. Their eyes were opened but Jesus disappeared from them. The men then ran to the eleven and told them all that had happened. Shouldn’t we leap for joy that Jesus is risen and has been seen? You may not recognize Him at first but when you do, leap for joy. Spread the word. Gather believers and you can all proclaim Jesus is resurrected. Rejoice!
In today’s reading Peter says, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you.” When we die, it won’t matter what worldly things we had in life, it only matters what your actions were and what you did with the things you did have. It’s not about how much you have, it’s about whether or not you shared what you had with others and if you tried to help others.
God will always be by our side to help us when we are struggling. God will do anything for us because he loves us so much. We will always have a relationship with God even if you don’t want one.
In today’s Gospel, I believe that I am being told that anything is possible in the name of Jesus Christ. You may be broken, but so is He. He is broken with us and He is with us always through our darkest times. You should never give up in anything you do because if you just ask God, you will receive His love. Ask and you shall receive. This is the goodness of God. This is His love. You are not alone.
The people on the road to emmaus did not recognize Jesus until he said the blessing and broke bread. This is because the bread which is broken is actually the being of Jesus. We should deepen our devotion to the eucharist this Easter season.
Today’s scripture reminds me that we should be helpful to others. From that we should glorify the Lord, like the crippled man did. He was crippled but was healed. When he realized this he walked, jumped and praised God. He was so grateful that through Jesus’ name he was healed. We should be like Jesus (through Peter) and heal others. Not exactly like Peter did but at least heal them through our words, thoughts, and actions.
In this scripture, a crippled man from birth asked for alms. Peter and John walked by and the crippled man asked for alms, though Peter and John didn’t have gold or silver to give. Peter told the man in Jesus’s nae he may walk and the crippled man rose and could walk again. The man was jumping around while praising God. We don’t know anything that God has in mind for us but we have to be ready for anything.
I think that God is telling me in this scripture that God wants us to humble ourselves to God and give our life away.
“walking and jumping and praising God.” Praise God whenever where ever you are because he deserves your praise. God deserves love and kindness he has given you.
The part that sticks out to me is when Peter says, “Rise and walk.” Jesus did something similar earlier in the Bible, and it reminds us of how Jesus is our teacher. Just as He taught His apostles, so does He teach us how to love.
I think that this is saying that we need to believe, especially because even his own followers couldn’t see it was Him until He let them see. But if we want to know that God is here with us then we need to believe.
This scripture is telling us that just because you cant see God physically doesnt mean hes not there. And he wants us to give his life to him
Today Peter helps a man who is crippled. He doesn’t give him money, but he does something even better, the ability to walk. As Catholics we are called to help the poor. Giving money is fine, but our sacrifice is even better if you do something for them that is closer in our hearts.
Jesus has given his apostles to heal just as he did, but in His name. This is Jesus revealing the power through his apostles hands.
Jesus shows Himself to us in many ways. We need to be observant and long for Him to make Himself seen to us. Jesus makes Himself known through Scripture and signs. When we read Scripture, God is allowing us to see Him. God wants us to let Him be there for us and be within us, all we have to do it let Him.
“When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the one.” This is what we should strive to have. We should be recognized for praying and worshiping God out in public.
What I think this is saying is that everyone has a vision of God. He is everyone’s image. You worship him when you think about him like at church or when someone tells you to pray. But once that times up you go on and start sinning and not caring anymore. We need to stop that and get closer to him by not sinning as much a praying and thinking about him a little bit more.
What the gospel is telling is to take some time out of my day to pray. Even if it is for 20 minutes.
To me this means God is trying to tell us that when we see God or talk to God we need to make the most of it. That also includes people in our life like our grandparents and or family relatives because you never know when those special people will have to leave our life and then we won’t be able to talk to them till we see them again in Heaven.
Would I believe you when you say your hand is the one guiding my way. Will I receive the words you say at every moment of the day? Well, I will walk by faith even when i cannot see because this broken road prepares your will for me. Well, help me to rid my endless fears you’ve been so faithful for all my years with one breath You make me new your grace covers all I do. Well, I’m broken,
But I still see Your face well, You’ve spoken pouring Your words of grace.
I think this scripture is talking about how we need to believe in Jesus’ miracles because some people in his time didn’t believe that he was the son of God. The people at the temple were astonished and amazed to see the crippled man walking.
In todays Scripture Peter and john was spreading the word of God in the temple, they help a man that couldn’t walk, and made him walk. We need to help people that are in need, the poor or the people that need help. Support the people that need help.
‘”Peter said, ‘I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you.” Peter gave the man his legs back or more accurately, the Holy Spirit gave the man his legs back through peter. God works through each and every one of us in many ways. We often think of how others have it better but God gives his hardest battles to his strongest people.
God is wanting us to be humble and kind. We should treat others the way that we want to be treated.
In this reading, Jesus shows us the importance of the mass. Throughout our everyday life, our vision is gradually clouded and clouded until we cannot see Christ in our lives. When we go to mass our eyes are cleared of all of the dirt and sin of the world, during the Eucharistic Prayer, if we are paying attention, is when we should realize all of the love God gave to us. During the prayer, is when the host and wine is turned into the Body and Blood of Christ. It is during this time that we need to open our eyes and see God.
Ask God for help or a blessing and help or a blessing you shall recieve. Ask God for what you need and pray to him.
wen gjesu wat timti fo lisfer and jesua anord it and madeit and did for us
This Scripture is telling us that God can do anything. Miracles don’t come out of nowhere they come from God. If you believe in God you will be healed, and live eternally with Him.
To see how much power God has even over the people that are super Holy and are in His best friends he still has control over them and can make them forget about so much. Just in this reading His Apostles didn’t even recognize Jesus after years of knowing who he was and exactly what he looks like.
I believe that this passage is telling us that our eyes can lie to us. Peter and John didn’t recognize Jesus when they saw him, yet when he repeated an action, they knew. Our eyes lie to us. Our eyes can’t tell us when Jesus is and is not present. Trust in your Faith, and it will giude you.
What I think this Gospel is telling us is that we need to help the poor. John and Peter stopped and Peter did a little thing and that changed the man’s life. I think Jesus is telling us to just do a little deeds for others and they will go way farther than you expect that they will.
Walking and jumping and praising God. This really stuck out to me because its the joy of being one of God’s children its supposed to be a good thing. Not some boring thing thats just there. No it’s a thing that God gave us and its himself he gave us free will so we have to be grateful for what he has done for us.
I like how John and Peter are trying their best to imitate Jesus and what he did, and God’s going along with their plan. What this scripture says to me is that in God’s name, anything is possible.
Just as Peter and John helped a crippled man be able to walk, we should also be willing to help each other. As Christians, we need to help those that others wouldn’t help, and in doing that, we show God that we love Him because we are helping His people.
I think this is telling us that we need to trust God and let him do the work and we need to let his will be done for us.
I think the Scripture is saying we have to recognize Jesus. We have to know and understand Him. Sometimes we don’t take any time to know Jesus. We have to know Jesus to join Him in Heaven.
I think the scripture is saying that when we ask a favor of God, He listens and helps but in a different way than one we may have expected. God loves us and so does Jesus, we need to listen to both of them for they will reveal our call to us. Once they reveal what we need to know, we should praise them for neither of them need to help us, but they do.
This scripture is very meaningful today. Today, I took two main important things from this scripture. The first one is that we shouldn’t judge anyone. They can’t choose what they look like. God made each one in his own image and likeness. If you can’t see that then you need to take the blanket off your eyes. Everyone is important, everyone matters, everyone should feel loved and wanted. The other thing I took from this was that we need to help everybody. Everyone suffers from a burden, whether we can see it or not. We should help anyone from the richest to the poorest. Jesus is always there for us now help anyone, no matter their standards.
I think this scripture means that God is very powerful but he is also very kind. After the cripple was healed he went to the temple to thank God for his son.
I think that what this is saying is that we need to open up our hearts to Jesus. Even if we cannot see him we can still believe in him. We do not have to see something to believe in it. we can believe in it without being able to see it.
Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you:in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.”
Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up,and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong. He leaped up, stood, and walked around,” In today’s Gospel this man gets up and walks because he is healed from whatever injury he had. Jesus somehow I feel like in this Scripture today he is telling us to get up and spread the Word. It says “his feet and ankles grew strong.” I feel like this mans feet and ankles is our faith getting stronger as we spread the Word.
Humans often want to be independent. The truth is, we can’t be completely independent. We have to have someone or something to guide us. This is why God sent Jesus to Earth. So that we could have a guide to the way to live a holy life. God wants to be with us, he wants us to get to heaven. We need to humble ourselves and quit being selfish. Let Jesus guide you!
Today’s Scripture passage is showing us the many ways Jesus is revealing Himself to us. We need to we open and have faith that He will someday reveal Himself to us. But in order to do that we need to be aware of our surroundings and look for signs from our Heavenly Father. When reading God’s Word in the Scripture, we get ourselves closer to Him and learn more about what He did for us in order to save us.
As Peter helped the man through his faith in God, so should we imitate. Many people want happiness, but think that the only happiness is the latest whatever. Peter gave the man the ability to walk, which shows the power and love of God. We need Jesus’s healing in our lives. “With that their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, but he vanished from their sight.” We need to be open to God’s call for us all the time. All of these things are what I thought of the gospel.
