“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE” JN 3:31-36
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
The one who comes from above is above all.
The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,
but no one accepts his testimony.
Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.
For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God.
He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.
The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him. JN 3:31-36
Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus in the middle of the night telling him who He is. Nicodemus is a high ranking Jew and one who actually believes Jesus could be the Messiah the Jews have been waiting for. Jesus continues to teach us that He is God and the Father has given Him everything. He also says very strong words about the afterlife.
Jesus reveals that we have to believe in the Son to enter eternal life. Afterlife is a radical belief. It is not something easy to believe in since all we know is our earthly life, our physical world. Jesus asks us to trust in Him and be not afraid. He is here to teach us about our heavenly home.
It might be important to read a book on near death experiences (NDE) or near death experiences of the blind. These are cases when people are dead/unconscious for a few minutes, see a light, dead relatives, or themselves and the doctors/nurses working on them. It is proof consciousness exists outside the body or after life. Most importantly, Jesus proves this to us with the resurrection of His body.
The gospels are not a myth or an entertaining fantasy novel. Jesus rose from the dead. This changes everything and should change the way we live each day for this life in preparation for the next. It means this world is not all there is. It changes the way we live our life to prepare for the eternal world with God in all of his glory, no pain, suffering, sin, death, and brokenness.
“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” Jn 3:31-36
We have a Father in heaven who radically loves us and His one greatest desire is for His children to be back with Him. Choose wisely, belief begins in your heart and Christ reveals that we must believe in Him to enter eternal salvation. How? Spend time with Him each day. Christianity is the only religion that matures. It has a past, present, and future. Learn more about Jesus, pray, and share this Good News with others. He is alive, be present to Him, and spend time with Him!
Be a servant, become a saint!

Bible Study Questions
- Who does Jesus testify to?
- What does an afterlife mean to you?
- Look up and read about a NDE of a blind person.
that jesus love us and he die for us and gave a a cler and gave us a free sol
What reached out to me was, “that God is trustworthy”. What this means to me is that we need to be able to put our trust in God to truly love him. We can’t have a good relationship with God if we can’t trust him.
I think God is telling us that he is above everyone of us and we aren’t ever better or greater than him. Satan thought he was better and he was cast out of Heaven and he now lives in the pits of hell. If we follow what Satan does and think we are greater than God we will be put in hell with Satan and that is not where we want to be.
Jesus has given us everything, so we should do what He asked of us. If He says our calling is to religious life then we should do it because it is going to make us happiest in life. All He wants is for us to be happy.
¨The one who comes from above is above all.¨ This sentence really stuck out to me a lot during the whole reading of the scipture. I feel like it is trying to tell us that Jesus is above everything. He is above all earthly things. He is above singers, our phones, music, games. He is the almighty. He should be the center and priority of all things. We need to quit treating Him like he is nothing, and if we do we need to ask for forgiveness. He is all loving and all powerful. I would probably be Joana is the empty tomb scene.
The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him. If we want eternal life with God we need to listen to his son Jesus. We cannot enter the kingdom unless we follow what Jesus said and do what he wishes for our lives.
The more time we spend with Jesus, the more we learn. If we believe in Jesus, that is a very good way to stay on the path to Salvation. Sometimes people need near death experiences to start believing in the faith, but that’s okay. Jesus will always be ready to accept us when we turn to Him.
The focus today being who are we when the empty tomb is found, I think i would be one of the Mary’s that originally finds the tomb because I would be so confused and worried all at the same time. Then run to the people I trust to share the news.
Jesus tells us we should have hope. He tells us that we can have an eternal life with Him. He will conquer death and sin for us just so we can be with Him. All we have to do is believe in Him and put our trust in God. He will lead us to salvation and Heaven because He loves us. The empty tomb is a sign that death is conquered and we should have hope that we will one day be with God in Heaven.
We need to listen to the word of God. Not just hear, but listen. When we listen to someone we perceive their words and follow through in our actions. Most of the time, we just hear though. It goes through one ear and out the other. We go through the motions and ignore just how much God really loves us. When God rose from the dead, he made a bold statement that we need to listen to every day. NOTHING can stand in the way of God. Nothing can stop him from loving us. Not death or torture. Not fear or pain. God only wants what is good for us each and every day. He doesn’t want us to hear. He wants us to listen.
In this scripture Jesus is talking to his disciples again after his resurrection and he says that they need to give up their earthly possessions in order to get to heaven.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells us to obey the Son. If we do not obey Jesus and do not follow the commandments, we will never see eternal life in heaven and God’s wrath will be upon us. God has given everything to Jesus, therefore we should follow Him. The empty tomb should also remind us of joy. Jesus has risen. The empty tomb means that we are saved.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him. JN 3:31-36,” when I hear that quote it just speaks to me. It makes me want to be a better human, a better friend, a better ever thing. It really just speaks to me.
A phrase that stuck out to me is “The one who comes from above is above all.” I like this phrase because it means that even though his is above he can still rule. Another reason I like this phrase is that the kings had to be in the kingdom to rule but Jesus in his kingdom he does not need to be there, and his kingdom is ever lasting.
Jesus has now revealed Himself to us through the scriptures. Our hearts have forever longed for salvation and Jesus has now given us it. Jesus has saved us, but do we truly believe that He did? The biggest question for us of all is if we really believe that Jesus is the Son of God. God has given us the free will so that we can choose to believe and love Him. If we have chosen to believe then are we currently celebrating Jesus’ resurrection or are we celebrating that we can eat candy again? Our Faith is a path of choices that we must make. It’s up to us to make the right ones.
God is greater than us, we should be humble enough to know that. “He who is from above is above all”. We will never be greater than God. We owe everything to Him: our entire existence.
We all have people who have died in our life. They may have died when you were two or could have died last month. There have been quite a few people in my life who have died because I have such a large family. I like to believe that they are all in heaven now. The afterlife to me is a place where you have complete peace of mind and can see everything all at once. You can rewatch the lives of people around you and notice the small things you didn’t pay attention to before. Heaven is eternal life with God and seeing the beautiful things in everyday life.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that he is above all and he rules over everything. People still don’t listen to him even though he has given us advice but, still no one will take it and all of his reading and scriptures we need to go and read one that will tell us what to do if we are in a certain situation like that so we know what to say so we can stand up for what is right and for our faith
Today’s scripture we learn God is trust worth my favorite part of scripture was “The one who comes from above is above all.
The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,
but no one accepts his testimony.”
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.
it says that he will die and that God will be mad at him but it struck me because God loves everyone
Easter is still going on. Jesus is telling us to don’t be afaid and to spend time with him. He is above all, and knows all. We need to stive to spend time with him.
Jesus wants us to spend eternal life with him but in order for that to happen we need to hear and listen to God and believe in him and the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is continuously trying to lead us back to him we just need to listen to him and accept him into our lives.
Jesus loves us above everything.
what stuck out to me was The one who comes from above is above all.
The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,
but no one accepts his testimony. This is telling us he is above all he is HIM and he is the great. He has now revealed him self. “For the father has loved the son and has given him everything.” Jesus’ relationship with the father is like no other we should stride to be like that with one another and him.
We have to listen to Jesus because he died for us out of his love.
God loves us so much that He sent His only Son down to die for us. Which is why we call Him the sacrificial lamb. We need to realize that God sent down Jesus, His Son, His ONLY Son to die for us sinners. We need to love Jesus and God so much more than we love ourselves because if we do then we will get the eternal reward of Heaven. We will get to love Jesus for the rest of eternity in Heaven. We must thank God for creating us and sacrificing His son for us. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.
In the scripture it says that Jesus is talking to his disciples about the resurrection and that Jesus died on the cross for us and loves us a lot.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” do we believe in the father? God is the father, he created everything. if we don’t believe in him it would be like saying i don’t believe that He created me. we need to believe so we can have an eternal life of happiness.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life. Gods not just teling us to believe but he wants a persinal relashinship with us. God has given us so many graces and he wants one thing back. So why don’t we give it to him?
“Jesus continues to teach us that He is God and the Father has given Him everything” this phrase stuck out to me, because it is telling us that God would do anything to help or save us. For He is our God.
When I was reading the phrase “Jesus reveals that we have to believe in the Son to enter eternal life.” really stuck out to me. Because this tells me that not only do we have to go to mass, pray to God, and spend time with him, but it tells us that we truly have to believe in him to have eternal life with him.
We don’t know when we will die, we could die in 30 seconds or in 30 years. We might not even die at all, the second coming could literally be any second, or any day. We need to do something that would make us sure that we are getting to Heaven. The Father loves us more than we could ever imagine, and he has that same love for 7 billion people we can only repay him with loving him back
i think that this is very important to know its telling us that if we speak of God and earthly things we will get a better chance of going to be with God and we will have the best life ever. its going to be wonderful and awesome we will be awestruck just think about the good and you will do good
Our eternity is based on our life here on earth our short time. God opened up the gift of heaven for us so we can can spend our after life with Him. After life gives us something to work towards and knowing whats gonna happen after we die we have to pick how we want to spend it with our actions here and our relationship with God.
¨ The one who comes from above is above all.¨ We didn’t come from above.God did,Jesus did.We didn’t,so why do we thing that we are better, that we are stronger, that we are smarter than the Lord.We have no right to feel that way,and if we do feel that way then we will end up just like Satan.Satan came from heaven God’s most loyal angel,no,Satan wanted more power,Satan wanted to rule heaven,Satan wanted to BECOME GOD.Satan betrayed the Lord, and God kicked him out and sent him to be the ruler of HELL,NOT Heaven, just like God can send us to HELL AND NOT HEAVEN.
Jesus shows us about the love of the father
Jesus loves us very much and all he wants is for us to just love him in the same way.”We have a Father in heaven who radically loves us and His one greatest desire is for His children to be back with Him. “
In this gospel I learned that God is the one person that you can always count on and tell your secrets to, He is the most trustworthy person ever known and is always neat you.
What Jesus is saying is that in the beginning no one actually took him seriously, but now everyone should listen to him for wisdom and understanding.
“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE” JN 3:31-36
Jesus went through all of that suffering, and all we have to do is follow his word and we can enter his kingdom. Jesus loves us so much that he cleared the path for us by dying, so all we have to do is follow his commandments, and we will experience the greatness of heaven.
The scripture is telling me that Jesus is truly the son of man. He says that He has seen the father and so he is. Jesus is the son of God. Jesus gives his testimony many times and says that he has seen God the Father because he is the Son of this God. Jesus is also talks about the afterlife and that we have to trust Jesus to enter into the perfect afterlife of heaven.
In today reading it tells us no one should be above God. The one who comes from above is above all.
Whoever belives in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeyes the son will not see life. This stuck out to me because its like the second coming coud come any time but if you don’t belive you arent going to make it to eternal life.
Jesus today tells us that He came from above us so He is above all. That is a very powerful statement because Jesus is God. He told us that He is God. Believe that Jesus is God and you to will go up with Him.
In the scripture today Jesus tells us to listen to the word of God. Most of the time, we just hear. It goes through one ear and out the other. We go through the motions and ignore just how much God really loves us.
Jesus is above us all. He is full of the holy spirit and he shares it with us. We are the people of the earth who need Jesus to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We disobey God when we sin. We will have eternal life with God if we confess our sins and help others. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The one who comes from above is above all, He came down from heaven to testify and we will see life if we do believe the words of God. If we don’t we will see death. We should speak of heaven instead of earthly things because heaven is where we will go after this life for eternity.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life. This stuck out to me because it’s telling us that we have to believe in God, he did not send down his only son to be crucified and not have us believe in him. He tells us that we have to believe in the son of God or we will not get to Heaven. We have to put God first and not worship any other God.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life” This is saying we must believe in him in order to live eternally with him.
We have to believe in Jesus and make him the center of our life. He is the only thing we should believe and worship. We must eat his flesh and drink his blood (at mass).Belief beings in our heart. Jesus reveals today that we need him in order to ger to heaven.
Jesus is the true god and and he is here for us but if we turn away from him he will judge you on your last day and see how you’ll feel. Nobody is greater than him he is beyond the stars of life and more pure than light so why face him away?
In today´s Gospel, Jesus tells us to trust Him. He is telling us to take time to pray and grow a relationship with Him. If we believe in Jesus, He will do amazing things for us. He died for us so that we could go to Heaven, and he is doing His best to get us all there. He knows and understands what we go through every day more than any human on this planet. He gets us because He became human and experienced EVERYONE´S pain. If we ever need Jesus´ help we can TRUST Him because of all the things He has done for our sake.
“The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all.” I think today’s scripture is telling us how God is our master. He knows what we need in life we just have to start listening.
“The one who comes from above is above all.” Jesus came to Earth to save us even though he is above all of us. He wanted us to be saved. Jesus knew that we couldn’t go to heaven without him, so he came down to live as we live and open the Gates of Heaven to us. He is above all, but he loves us and cares for us anyway.
God gave Jesus everything, and so we must give Jesus our everything too. How can we be Christian if we do not believe in Him? We must believe in Jesus and follow His example, because only then will we go to heaven.
“The one who comes from above is above all.”
We need to remember that without God nothing would be here, we wouldn’t be, our best friends wouldn’t. He is our Lord and Savior and we chose to do wrong daily in his midst. We need to fix all of these problems that we have and chose to do good. Because with Jesus anything is possible.
This whole reading shows that Jesus has a ton of power, pretty much infite. With this much power, most people would have different ideas and would show off their power, but Jesus was humble man. He didn’t boast his ability, he shared it.
“The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all.” Jesus is above everyone and everything. We should not put anything before Him. We have all put something before Him, whether it’s our phones, video games , or even good stuff like reading. Yes, it is very good to read, but we need to spend time with Jesus, our Savior, too.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells us to obey the Son. If we do not obey Jesus and do not follow the commandments, we will never see eternal life in heaven and God’s wrath will be upon us.
All we have to do is have faith in Jesus. He has already done the “hard work”. All we have to do is make a decision to trust, love, and follow him or we can choose to go against him and live in misery. He loves us so much but we still struggle to follow him. Why? Because we are human and make mistakes and think we can live this life without guidance from the Holy Spirit.
I think the scripture is saying that we must believe in not just the Father but also the Son. God sent Jesus to help us reach heaven and to help preach in order to get the word to us all. We must listen to and obey the Son because he is from the Father and has been told to do these things by the Father. If we disobey the Son, we are disrespecting the Father. By disrespecting the Father, it is the worst sin and we may not be welcomed by the gates of heaven.
This Scripture is talking about how God is truly the one and only one that we have because he is the one who created the earth and everything on the earth and that we must put God first before all things it is even the first commandment where it tells us that we should have no other God other than our God.
It is saying that we should believe in Jesus Christ. He went through a lot just to save us, the only way to thank Him is to believe in God and try our best to get to heaven.
“He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.” These lines stuck out to me throughout the Scripture. The Scripture as a whole is kind of describing faith. As it said “whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.” It’s not like you can physically talk to God, besides when Jesus was alive of course. You have to have faith to trust God. Without faith there is no trust, and without trust there is no faith. You have to open yourself up to embrace the true goodness of God so that we all go to our main goal, heaven. Things like this don’t come easy though, so you have to be patient. The best things come together over time.
The piece of Scripture that stuck out to me today was this one. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him” Here, I think Jesus is trying to tell us that He is the only way to heaven, we cannot get there through money, or fame, but through faith in Him. We need to reject worldly possessions, they will not bring us happiness, but what they will do is separate us and bring us further away from God and eternal life with Him.
In the Scripture today I think it is telling me that Jesus is trustworthy and we can trust Him not matter what. We might not trust others but Jesus is someone that we can always rely on He is always there for us when we need Him and never goes away from us.
This means that God will be with us when we die and go to heaven
No one is equal to God. The most famous celebrities have nothing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Do we believe that. I know I said this in a scripture reflection not to long ago, but I do not always believe that the Lord is the greatest. I feel like I am far away from Him, and in all honesty don’t really want to return. I feel like all these things on earth will make me happy, and help me have fun. That is Satan talking to me. Only God will give us true happiness because he is the greatest thing that we have now, and will have forever.
The piece of Scripture that stuck out to me today was this one. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him” Here, I think Jesus is trying to tell us that He is the only way to heaven, we cannot get there through money, or fame, but through Him. We need to reject worldly possessions, they will not bring us happiness, but what they will do is separate us and bring us further away from God and Eternal Life with Him.
God wants us to go to Heaven. He wants us to be with Him. Heaven is our goal, it is what we strive for. We also strive to act Christ-like. We all want to be saints some day. If we want to be saints we have to follow God. We cannot let sin overcome us. We have to resist the devil and his temptation.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all
Jesus is above all, no one could every be like him, he is the one who is going to save us from our sin.
“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him.” This stuck out to me because it shows how selfless God is. He gave up his life for us and we still continue to sin over and over.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life” I think somethimes we just need to trust God and BELIVE that he will intercede for us and will take care for our every need.
Jesus is above all. Above our t.v above our video games. It’s not just screens that distract us from God. Maybe it’s something else either way we have to honor the Father because He is the Messiah. Let’s not be like the Jews and the golden calf and stay true to the person who made us.
Jesus continues to teach us that He is God and the Father has given Him everything. He also says very strong words about the afterlife. When people talk about the afterlife they always talk about when life ends and there is nothing more to come but there is so much more there is new life that comes from death. Death isn’t an ending, it is just a new beginning. Those words are so important since we don’t know anything that happens when we die since the people who experienced it can come back and tell us so we will find everything out when we die and start our new beginning.
Jesus reveals that we have to believe in the Son to enter eternal life. Afterlife is a radical belief. It is not something easy to believe in since all we know is our earthly life, our physical world. Jesus asks us to trust in Him and be not afraid. He is here to teach us about our heavenly home.
in this scripture reflection it tells you how to gain eternal life so you cant act like you don’t know how to do it and figuring out is to hard he gives you the way to eternal joy with him and yet we act oblivious
We listen to Jesus to because He listened to us (our soul begging for mercy) and died for us.
“He does not ration the gift of His Spirit.” I think it is important that we realize this. God gives us his spirit when we want, God gives it to us when we don’t want it, but if we ask him for the Spirit, He will overflow with happiness and make us overflow with the Holy Spirit. God sends himself to us, and he tries to come into us, but we MUST INVITE HIM!
“He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.” if we are to truly believe in God, that would mean giving up anything and everything you have. He did that for us, why shouldn’t we do that for him? he went through unimaginable pain for us to have the gift of heaven. it is about time that we started to truly believe that he loves us. we will be rewarded with eternal life.
We are destined for heaven. It’s not easy to get there. If it was, everyone would be there. But we have to fight with sin and try our best to get to heaven.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” This stuck out to me because God is saying if we believe in Him we get to go to Heaven. If we worship other Gods or other things then we are disobeying God and we won’t get to go to Heaven. If we do that then we will go to Hell and see the “wrath of God”. We need to worship Jesus, not any other fake god.
Jesus is the way of life, he is the key. Whoever believes in him will gain eternal life. we cant just believe in him we have to live with him we have to love him. Jesus loves us so very much. He knows us better then we know our selves he loves us more than anyone could that we know. he is the way and the giver of life.
Jesus is above all. He tells us as much. He testified to Nicodemus, when He didn’t need to. He wants us to believe.
“For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God.” Jesus came down to teach us about God and why he needed to save us. Once we are confirmed we are supposed to go out and teach about God just like the deciples did. We have to be leaders to the younger generations. We must love God in everything that we do.
Jesus rose from the dead to save us from sin though we killed Him. If we don’t believe in God or Jesus or the Resurrection, we cant go to Heaven.
Today i think the scripture is trying to tell us something that we don’t really think about all that often. Jesus is from heaven! He is from where we all need to go. Jesus opened the best thing ever for us. Heaven is the greatest thing ever. Jesus is from there that means he is the greatest human being to ever live. He even died on the cross for us and some of us still don’t believe it. We have no reason not to believe it we have the shroud of Turin and a lot and i mean a lot of witnesses to what he did for others. He came from heaven for us that is how much he loves us. his love is not normal his love is infinite so we should show that love back to him and to others. That is what we are called to do as Christians.
In this scripture Jesus is talking to Nicodemus about eternal life. This stuck out to me because he reveals about the afterlife in the scripture.
Just like we shouldn’t view ourselves as above God, we shouldn’t view ourselves as better or above our peers, either. Everyone matters.
This scripture is telling us we need to trust God. God made everyone with a purpose. It is our job to fulfill our purpose.
This life is not the end. There is more than death because Jesus rose from the dead and went to the Father. He was a human just like us. it proves that we must repent, because we will never know when our judgement will come. What we do know is that no matter how many times we sin or make mistakes, God will always forgive us and love us, because we are His children.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life”. This phrase stuck out to me because it is saying that if we believe in God, we will go to heaven, but if we do not believe in Him and disobey him, we will not go to heaven. Jesus gave up His whole life for us. He didn’t die for no reason. We have no excuse not to believe in God after all that He has done for us, and has proven that He is God.
I think this scripture is about us, and the choice we have to make. Whether we believe in Jesus as the son of God, or do not believe. If we do believe we will have eternal life with the trinity in heaven. If we do not believe that Jesus is the son of God we will be punished and have to die.
what the scripture is telling me is that God is above all things earthly. He says, “But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,” this shows that God testified the good news and really is God. Whoever doesnt believe in God shall see the wrath of him.
We need to trust God. How we get to Heaven is by trusting God and listening to God. We need to sit in silence and listen to God. We just ignore what He is saying and we just live our life ignoring Him. We need to listen to Him if we want to live our full life.
“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” This stood out to me because when we believe in Jesus Christ we will be filled with joy, but if we don’t believe in Him we will say things that we might regret in the future. Jesus believes in us so we should believe in Him.
Jesus is telling us to obey Him and to follow Him to be allowed eternal life. He gives us simple instructions on how to live life: The Beatitudes, The Ten Commandments, and all throughout the scriptures.
In the Scripture God says that you must believe in God to have eternal life. But you must also listen to Him and not disobey what the Lord is telling you. You wouldn’t be alive if God hadn’t created you, He is your Father. Obey him like you would obey your parents, love him like you love your parents. If you don’t believe in Him or listen to him you won’t live a happy life. You won’t get to Heaven, and you won’t have eternal happiness and life with him.
Jesus says,” whoever believes in the Son will have eternal life. Whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath will be upon him.” This shows that Jesus is there with you every step of the day no matter what you do, think, or say. He loves us no matter what.
In Jesus’ time on earth he preached and performed miracles for us all, as signs to prove that he is the son of God and that he is our savior. if you believe him and know that he is the one true son of God you will have perfect life with the trinity in heaven. Jesus wanted us to be saved that’s why he came down from heaven and died for our sins, he opened a path to eternal life because he knew we needed someone to save us from our sin.
In this scripture it is saying that even thought Jesus is almighty and he is above us, he still came down from Heaven to guide us back to God. He loves us so much that he would die for us and come back down so we can get to Heaven.
Nicodemus is a high ranking Jew and one who actually believes Jesus could be the Messiah the Jews have been waiting for. I think in today’s gospel it talked about believing. Because Nicodemus said he might have found the Messiah., and people still did not believe in him. This still accounts for our present life we know Jesus is the messiah and we still say hes not it, hes fake, hes not real. But in reality the people who say and are against him end up in hell.
it says that he dose not ration his gift of the holy spirit. when i saw this i saw this as Jesus not holding back. He does not hold back any love from us he loves us fully and that is why he sent his only son our lord to save us from sin. His love is unfair because we cannot love him the same way he loves us. This does not mean we should not love him it means we should strive to love him more and appreciate the things he has given us in our lives.
This scripture is telling us that Jesus is above all of us! Jesus came to us so that he would understand what it’s like to be human, and for us to learn how to be the best possible humans we can be. He tought us everything we know about Christianity and how to treat people and animals and everything in the Universe. But most importantly he tought us how to be like him, like children of God. Jesus is God, and he came down to Earth to be a human image of God’s design for us! So we should be joyfull that Jesus has risen and saved us from our sins so that we can become like Christ, have a joyfull life and enter God’s kingdom!
The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. God has gave us everything we need from Him. He gave up his son,he gave us life, he gave us a family, home ,food, water. Everything we need so thank Him and rejoice.
One part that really stuck out to me was at the end when it said, whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him, because it is talking about hell. If you disobey God you will be cast away from heaven and will not see life. This is really important for people to know because it could happen to anyone who disobeys Christ.
Our eternity is based on this short life we have now on earth. Every decision we make here on earth will reflect on our eternity. We have to be so careful in what we do because one bad decision
Those who believe in God will have eternal life and those who don’t will have the wrath of God upon them. Sometimes it can be hard to do so. Sure, we might accept Him one day and deny Him the next, but denying God as a whole will have us suffer for eternity in Hell. He always forgives us when we turn away from Him just showing how much He loves us and we should return that love.
Something that always scares me as a student is that I might be doing the assignment wrong. Maybe I misinterpreted a question or maybe I didn’t understand. Maybe the teacher wasn’t clear with the directions. Whatever it is, it causes anxiety when you wonder if you are doing it right. But, once you turn it in, a relief sets in. You can’t change anything. But what will happen? Did you do the assignment correctly and earn a high score? Or did you mess up and jeopardize your grade in that class?
This is one way to think about afterlife. Afterlife is so difficult for our feeble earthly minds to grasp, so that is why I am using this analogy to talk about afterlife.
Jesus is our teacher. Literally :). We are his students. He has given us one assignment. Meet him in Heaven.
Jesus has told us exactly what to do. Believe in him.
No wonder it’s the only assignment he has given us. IT’S HARD.
How do we have faith in God in today’s world? The world’s focus is on skill, merchandise, and possessions. But our focus has to be on God. This means in order to show and live out our Faith, we have to make a conscious effort to put God first. But this is extremely difficult because our minds like concrete things. How do we believe in something that is invisible and far away?
But wait! That’s not quite right. God is never far from us and has given us real signs of His love. The Eucharist for example.
The Eucharist is Jesus’s body, blood, soul, and divinity. It is literally Him. A multitude of miracles have proven that.
Okay then, so if we now have a concrete thing to help lead us to God, why is it still so hard? Because nothing worth having ever comes easy. Life will always be difficult. Remember, Jesus endured the most excruciating death possible for our salvation. He knows what it’s like. Never for a moment think He doesn’t understand or “get us.” HE MADE YOU. Just like you know everything there is to know about something you create, God knows everything about you.
He knows how hard it is to live our Faith.
But in the end, our Faith is what we need. In order to be saved, we must believe. Believe God. Believe His Word. Believe His Truth. Believe He is with us every step of the way. Believe.
Do you want an A+ in your life? Listen to Jesus. He made the assignment after all. He knows how to do it right. Ask Him questions.
Like the great Teacher He is, He gives answers.
i think this scripture is on how we will live for etenity if we belive in him and say his word not just say ” i believe in god” but actually living it
