Jesus Christ is baptized and God the Father says, “This is my beloved Son of whom I am well pleased.” Mk 1:11
The Holy Spirit descends on Jesus as he comes out of the water. The Holy Trinity showed up on earth on this day together as One. This event starts the Proclamation of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world and for us this establishes forever on earth the day we can be adopted sons and daughters of God and have a share in the Divine life. We receive the Holy Spirit and have the gifts and fruits to attain eternal life. God gives us everything we need to conquer sin, our fallen human nature, and the Evil one. We have God in us in the Holy Spirit, a mind to think and remember, and a will to choose. With God’s grace through the sacraments (receive them daily if possible) and the Holy Spirit inside us, and our spiritual powers of mind and will, we have all we need to become a saint. Your spiritual powers are greater than any superheroes, fight Evil and allow God to work through you and save the world!
You have be given a purpose in this place and in this time, don’t miss your mission and what you are called to be and do!
