Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Once when Jesus was praying in solitude,
and the disciples were with him,
he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”
They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah;
still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen.’”
Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.”
He rebuked them and directed them not to tell this to anyone.
He said, “The Son of Man must suffer greatly
and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.” Lk 9:18-22
While they were all amazed at his every deed,
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Pay attention to what I am telling you.
The Son of Man is to be handed over to men.”
But they did not understand this saying;
its meaning was hidden from them
so that they should not understand it,
and they were afraid to ask him about this saying. Lk 9:43-45
On Thursday, I mentioned that Jesus was about to reveal who He is. This is important. His identity is the essence of who we are to strive to be like. So, His identity, with God’s grace is to shape us into other Christs. We take this identity on when we are baptized. In our baptismal vows, we are called to reject Satan and make a daily commitment to follow the Creed by striving for holiness and grow closer to Christ. The battle: God’s grace pulling us up vs. our appetites, passions, and desires pulling us down. Each day we are either growing in holiness or not growing in holiness. There is no in between.
This is a very difficult task. What answer does Jesus give us in today’s Gospel? “Once when Jesus was praying in solitude.” We must take time to sit in solitude, talk, and listen to God. We must learn to pray by talking to Jesus each day like we are texting a friend. We must use our knowledge of Christ and our imagination. Then, we can move to reading Scripture and reflecting on it. Last, we can use memorized prayers meditating on what the words mean. If we only say memorized prayers, we are not taking the next step in our prayer life which is to have a relationship by communicating each day with Jesus. Talking to Him like you are talking to your best friend. This is what He died for, to have a personal relationship with Him. Invite Him into your boat!
We learn today that Jesus is, “The Christ of God,” “The Son of Man” who must suffer greatly by the hands of men. The same men He has came to save. He reveals that He will die and rise on the third day. Everything about His identity is wrapped up in this revelation. If Jesus does not die and rise, our faith does not exist. We are called to die and rise like Christ. We are to die to our ego and put on Christ. With His grace, we are called to rise above the darkness, sin, and chaos of the world and live a rightly ordered life.
In conclusion, so many Christians have been persecuted over the centuries and more in the last century than the others combined. Christians are suffering persecution around the world today. Why are people willing to die for Jesus rather than live? They have learned the Good News and have chosen to dedicate themselves completely to it. It starts with a relationship in prayer with Jesus. It starts as a belief in your heart. Then, it grows through His grace in the sacraments and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Family members would die for each other, but why Jesus? Jesus, who is God, came to earth to show God’s love and mercy. God the Father’s only desire is to have His children back with Him in heaven. God the Father is our Creator and desires friendship with us more than anyone else in the world. Jesus, who is God, came to earth to show God’s love and mercy. He died, rose on the third day, and gave us new life through baptism. Every moment alive is a moment God has given to us as a gift. His love is much greater than ours.
One of the greatest ways we can imitate Him is by dying for Him like He died for us. Not all of us are called to be martyrs, but we are called to die to self and put on Christ for others so that others can see Christ in us and be inspired to be holier. Pray, be humble, die to self and live in peace and joy. May we be inspired by God’s great love and share this love with others.
Today’s challenge: Reflect on the identity of Jesus. Our identity is wrapped up in His through Baptism. Strive each day with God’s grace, love, and mercy to be more like Christ. Cooperate with God’s Will. This is not a decision for the death bed but now. Few people convert on their death bed. This is a decision for warriors, those seeking adventure! The divine became human so the human could become divine!
Be a servant, become a saint!

I say that he is God…as he always has?.
Jesus died for our sins. Jesus asks us who we think he is everyone will have different or the same answers.
The Scripture is telling us to stand up for our faith no matter what the consequences may be.
This scripture goes hand in hand with yesterday’s scripture because just like the people were confused about Jesus’ acts, so are the apostles today when he told them that when he dies he will rise on the third day. This taught me that Jesus is not going to fully reveal himself to us, but he reveals himself in little ways.
I can apply this to my life by believing that God is truly present in the Eucharist, I can also pray to God to help me find him through prayer and hymns. I can also follow in his foot steps and doing what is right and praying to God to bring the Holy Spirit down upon me during confirmation.
In today’s Gospel, the people are deciding who Jesus is, just like how we have to decide who Jesus is in our life. Peter says Jesus is the Christ of God, but most others think that he a prophet. A lot of people today don’t believe that Jesus was actually God, and that makes it really difficult to believe that Jesus really is God. Also, just like when Jesus tells the Apostles about his passion, they don’t understand what he means, we don’t always understand what God’s plan is for us, and that’s really difficult, at least for me, because I like to have a plan. Jesus wants us to trust in his plan.
Jesus can be whoever you want him to be, but no matter what you think of him he is still the son of God.
Christ reveals himself today in the Gospel by asking the apostles who do they think he is. They reply and say that he is the Son of God. It helps me to see that Jesus is the Son of God and is real because he knew that he was going to die and suffer greatly. Nobody knows how they will die but Jesus did because he is divine and man.
Some say God is fake or not what he is told to be. It is our choice to love God some say he is a lie yet we have to choice to say otherwise.
We have to follow the Lord and he will always direct us into the right way. Wherever we go Jesus will tell us what way to turn and where to go and we will end up in heaven.
I can apply this to my life by talking to Jesus like i talk to my friends.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals who he is to his Apostles. As Catholics, we should strive to get to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with him. By knowing who Jesus is, we find who we are and continue to grow. Not physically, but spiritually.
In the scripture today, it asks us who do we think Jesus is to us. When Jesus asked his disciples who he was, they answered that he was the Christ of God. We need to ask ourselves if we truly think that Jesus is God. Another thing happens in the scripture is that Jesus tells the to pay attention to what he is saying. The disciples didn’t understand what Jesus was saying but they were to afraid to ask. I think we tend to try and understand the scripture and the Word of God, but we don’t understand. We shouldn’t be afraid to ask Jesus in prayer what we don’t understand and we should try talking to him.
We have to follow our God and listen to Jesus on the right way to go and if you do that you will likely end up in heaven
can apply this to my life by praying to God to help get closer to him and reflecting on the Identity of Jesus so I can make to fulfill God becoming man so man might be made God
I know God will lead me. We get baptized to follow God. I believe that God is present and there for us.
Jesus is the Son of God. In our lives we will encounter people in our lives that don’t believe this. We must still stay strong in our faith, because Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and He loves us very much and wants us to be in Heaven with Him.
This is a very important part of the bible. Jesus reveals that he will be crucified . He also foreshadows that will rise on the 3rd day and gives the entire universe hope. Jesus gives hope that he will build a spiritual kingdom and that he will be back to save.
Jesus died for our sins, he hung on the cross for three days in great pain and agony. He did all of that and we “can’t” find the time to sit, talk, and listen to Jesus.
In this Gospel we see Jesus asking the Apostles who the people say he is and who they think he is. This reminds me that Jesus is Lord and all he did for us. The Apostles didn’t quite understand what Jesus said but just like in our own lives we don’t always know and that’s okay because it is all apart of his plan for us. We don’t need to worry about our futures we can just give it to Jesus and trust in him.
One thing that I can take away from this gospel is to truly remember who Jesus is. Sometimes when we pray we just think that he is just some genie who grants our every prayer, which is not a good state of mind because when he answers your prayer in a way that you didn’t intend, you can get mad at him for no reason. Knowing who Jesus really is is one of the most important things in life.
I can apply this to my live by remembering that Christ wants to be my friend.
He asks them who he is, and they’re quiet for a moment. They hesitate. John the Baptist, they say, and they name out a few others. There’s Elijah, and then one of the ancient prophets. But then Peter comes around, and he says, “The Christ of God.” It’s a voice, and we can hear it jab at us. We think to it, and our thoughts tear through us. Jesus- he’s the son of God. He gave himself to us, to the Father. We should honor it. Jesus didn’t have to die, have himself beaten and have his blood scrambled. He didn’t have to be against the cross, but he chose to.
I can apply this to my life by seeing that Jesus truly is the son of God and not just a prophet or disciple. We need to ask ourselves daily if we truly believe this.
Jesus wants us to be with Him in heaven and He will give up his life yet we don’t know who he is and think he is just another prophet instead of the one who would erase our sins.
Jesus is asking who we think he is so we can join him in heaven because he loves us so we can live in eternal life together.
This, to me, means that we are blind to who Jesus really is. We know that he is the Son of God, but we don’t truly know who he is to us. We will spend our whole lives not knowing who Jesus is to us if we don’t participate in Mass, go to the Sacraments, and spend time in solitude with our Lord. This gospel, to me, means that I must try harder to understand who Christ is and how he wants me to live my life.
We need to know who Jesus really is to us. Most likely, we don’t think he’s really important. We have to talk to him daily. Jesus wants to be our friend, like actual friends if you stop talking after a while your going to grow apart. If we don’t pray to God daily we aren’t going to feel close to him.
I can apply this to my life by thinking about who God is to me. Is God either my best friend or is he just someone I can go to for answers on the homework. Do I talk to him everyday and get to know him or do I only go to God when I need his help. God is always there for me 100% of the time, but I need to be there with him 100% of the time.
We need to choose who Jesus is in our life. Is he at the center affecting how we live, or is he something in the background that we only think about when we have time. We need to understand that he always answers our prayers, even if it’s not in the way we think we want him to. He knows whats best for us and makes the best choices for us and what we need. We should reflect on Jesus and build up our souls so they will be the strongest they can be.
I can reflect on this because it tells us that Jesus isn’t the same person for everyone, he is the Father to some or just someone they are told to learn about for others. but all the same, Jesus died for us and is our Father
I can apply this by being like Jesus. Jesus can miracles and he doesn’t want the fame. He only wants to help and save.
What this Gospel means to me today is that we really need to think about who God is. When he asked his disciples today what do you guys think I am what do you call me and they said the Christ of God. Do we think that he is truly the Christ of God. Jesus is truly present at all points in our life even if we don’t think he is because we are going through a rough time he is always there our prayers might not get answered right away but the will get answered. It takes time to realize that Jesus answers our prayer and is real we can’t get down on ourselves because nothing is happening because Jesus will answer our prayers. He truly loves us and we truly love him.
In today’s Gospel Jesus asks who they think he his. Some said Elijah and another said The Christ of God. I can use this in my life because I need to start listening to what God is trying so I know how to pray. We need to stop doubting him and listen and trust him. God has a plan for us and that plan won’t work unless we let God take over.
Jesus died for everyone, for all of humanity. We must ask ourselves who Jesus is. How important is he in our daily life?
What ever you believe in, stay true to it, don’t deny it in the face of fear. For if you really believe in something you will be loyal and true to your judgement. Don’t be embarrassed about it either, do not hide your identity, be yourself with passion. Don’t change for others, if they don’t like you then that’s there choice. Go be with people who act like you do the same things as you. Don’t be afraid of what you like.
I can apply this to my life by asking myself “Who is Jesus to me?”. I can ask myself this and give myself an honest answer. I want to build a relationship with Christ, but I tend to avoid Him. I can take little steps by praying everyday, then I would learn to talk to Him as if I were talking to a friend. Jesus wants me to be closer to Him, and I want to as well, but I need to have a change of heart in order for me to have a better relationship with Him. I need to stop getting distracted my materialistic things and go to Him.
I think that today’s gospel is reminding us of Jesus’ love. Jesus died for us on the cross because He loves us. So why do we have doubt in Him? We need to remember that we may not know His whole plan but we know that He is trustworthy and loving and would never do us harm as long as we follow His example and love one another as ourselves. We also need to try and better ourselves in our relationship with Christ. We need to pray and just try to listen to Him. He is our Savior and we don’t deserve Him.
i can apply this to my life by taking to Jesus like i talk to my friends and reading the bible everyday.
We really need to think who is God to you. Our family members would die for us. Jesus helped form our family. So shouldn’t we die for him. God is well God so why do why not treat him like one. Why don’t people belive he is real there is a tun of proof to back it up. He shouln’t have to prove himself to us. He constantly gives us forgivness he wants us to come back to him.
jesus is asking if we really know him. He is telling us how he is going to die too. He said the Son of Man must suffer greatly
and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.
I can apply this scripture to my life by believing in Jesus no matter what others may think of me. We need to start believing and letting God into our daily life more often. We can do this by saying a prayer and actually mean what we say.
In this Gospel it tells us that we need to live our lives like Jesus. We need to be humble and kind. We need to “die” like Jesus died for us.
What i got from todays scripture is that we need to remember to think about prayer and not just go through the motions, so that we can say we did something to be done with it.
this scripture reminds me of the up-coming election, how we should stick up for what is right in our faith and make the right decision. God is begging us to speak the truth to people who don’t know or are confused
I can apply this to my daily life by truly excepting that Jesus is the son of God. Also believing that he is real and went through so much pain for our sins, and just so we could get to Heaven.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that people with call God other names but we should not listen to them, instead know who he is and believe it.
Jesus is my friend and he’s there for me whenever i need him. He will always lead me in the right direction I just have to have faith in him.
in the gospel people are contemplating who Jesus is to them. we must ask ourselves that same question everyday, is he the center of our lives or is he just something we spend one hour doing on Sunday and Tuesday. if we want to go to heaven we must know Jesus and allow him into our lives
in this scripture Jesus tells me that getting into heaven is not going to be easy and i must look for Jesus everywhere in my life
This scripture reminds me of the thoughts that roam around in our head bur we are to afraid to speak it. Who is Jesus? what is Jesus? This man who claims to be the Son of God, who is he? These thoughts then lead to us thinking whether its a myth or if this man truly did die for our sins. Is he false or have we truly not opened up our hearts to him?
I think that today’s gospel is reminding us of Jesus’ love. Jesus died for us on the cross because He loves us. We should start having more trust and faith in him that he’ll save us from sin and not have any doubt about him. There’s no reason in the world why we shouldn’t put all of our faith into him and pray to him for guidance.
in this scripture Jesus tells me that getting into heaven is not going to be easy and i must look for Jesus everywhere in my life.
To me I feel like I am being told that we do not know how Jesus really is. But that we can dicover who he is through prayer and talking to him. We need to get out of our minds and see who we really are then we will be able to see Jesus for who he really is and we will learn to help others in ways we never though we could before but we need to keep in mind that we only do this throught time spent with God and others or we will never see who God really is.
Jesus said he would have to die , to the apostles. They were counfused, but in the end, they beleived. We don’t always make sense of what Jesus tells us, but in the end we belive him. a lot of the things he does don’t make sense, thats because he is God, he can do anything, weather it makes sense or not.
I can apply this to my life by treating Jesus how I would treat one of my friends and get to know him like I know all of my friends.Basically I think I should know him better than what I already know of him.
I can apply this to my to talk to Jesus just like I talk to my mom and dad
Jesus asks us who we think he is, we need to know that truly he is God. it also said they didn’t understand what his teaching meant, don’t be afraid to ask Jesus and pray to him and ask him what our call is in life.
Like Jesus himself said, he is to die at the hands of man. Not for fun. Not just because. But to give us everlasting life with him in heaven. As you said before, he strives to be with us. And without dying on the cross, there would be no chance on this miserable earth that we could be with him
If Jesus were to walk up to you and ask you “But who do you say that I am.” with no hesitation you would say that he is the almighty God. But you need to truly think about who he is and actually believe that he is the almighty God and can save you from your sins.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks he disciples who do people believe him to be and who do they believe him to be. After Jesus revealed himself to us. I can apply this scripture passage to my life by truly getting to know him. He suffered for my sins so that I may have eternal life with him.
I can apply this scripture to my life by never losing my faith. There will be people in my life who won’t believe and question my faith. I have to keep my trust in Jesus, and always believe in him.
In this scripture they are still trying to figure out who Jesus truly is. He loves us so much. We need to always reflect on who Jesus really is. He died for us , and our sins. That is truly a remarkable thing. That proves how much he loves us. We need to show that we love him too and pay him back for what he has done for us.
The one main thing that we have to do to even be truly christian and I’m not even saying Catholics, is fully and truly believe in God, his plan for us, and that his holy son died on the cross for the entire world to be freed from their sins. We also have to be ready to give ourselves completely up to God. We say that we fully believe that and that we fully do do that, but if we are honest with ourselves, most of us will be won’t be able to say that without lying.
When Jesus asks them who they think He is, Peter is the only one that responds with the true answer, the Son of God. and sometimes we don’t see Him as the son of god sometimes we see Him as this guy who talks about God. but we really need to stop listening to our brain and and start listening to our heart and who we really know He is.
In this gospel Jesus is telling who he is to his Apostles, I am still trying to know who God is to me. He’s always with me throughout my life. That means i need to be with him 100%. He died for us on the cross. We need to strive a build a relationship with him and get to heaven. As we get older our relationship with him is gonna grow with him. Jesus died for us on the cross because he loves us .
In today’s Scripture Jesus tells the 12 disciples that he will die and suffer and they are in awe because they think he would never have to suffer and some started to doubt that he was the Son of God . We should always have faith in God’s plan.
I really need to think to myself who is God to me. I every other night go to my room and pray the rosary then the bible. This to me is helping me understand what God is telling me about his love and me praying the rosary is like me telling him i love him back. The bible is like me talking to Jesus and reading what he has written down for me to learn. I know Jesus wants me to learn what he gave up his life for. My christianity to me is one of the most important things in my life. GOD GAVE UP HIS LIFE FOR US and sometimes we don’t even get or understand that but we need to learn and you know what i am so lucky to have gone through this step in my life with an amazing teacher who has opened my eyes.
It means that some people don’t always call God the actual God.
What I got from the scripture was to really truly believe who God really is and not go through the motions at Mass and in prayer. Truly believe who he is and good things will happen if you put 100% faith in God.
what i take from this is that we should take time to know God because he knows everything about us.
I think that it means you hear stuff going on around you about God but what do you think. We all grow up in a catholic school so we hear about God but do we believe just because we go to a catholic school.
The gospel is saying that we should stand up to our faith no matter the consequences. I should be looking for Jesus in my life.
jesus is jesus nothing can change that.
Jesus is saying that he is the Son of Man and he must suffer. Everyone in their life has to go through some kind of suffering in their life.
His Identity can shape any of us into a mini christ.
In today’s scripture it really tells me to think who God really is and what he has done for us with us. It tells me to think who
God is to me what he means to me what he has done for us all of us i feel like people take what they have for granted when they dont need a phone they dont need to be pretty we have all me need in front of us and we take it for granted like its nothing.
I can reflect on it by believing in my faith their will be people in my life who will think that I am different for the faith I believe in.
The disciples were confused about what Jesus meant when He said “Pay attention to what I am telling you.
The Son of Man is to be handed over to men.” This is very similar to Jesus calling us to be what He wanted us to be. He may not say it directly but He telling you and guiding you towards it.
This gospel reminded me that Jesus NEVER said that we can or cannot suffer. He never promised us that we would have the best life. We choose to make it good. Most saints suffered greatly but still had Jesus by their side.
I can apply this scripture to my life by asking myself who is Jesus in my life. Jesus needs to be the center of it or I will live a miserable life.
This scripture is telling me that different people say different things about Jesus and some people don´t know him but Catholics know who he is and what he did.
We need to pray to God every day. Not just saying words of a prayer, but deeply talking to God through silence. Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening!
I think that this gospel ties into the videos about the mass. Praying is like texting God but going to the mass is like hanging out with him in real life. This shows that both things are super important. There are some things that you would text to them but you wouldn’t say to them in person. There are also things that you say to someone in person but not on a text. So both of them are necessary for a healthy Christian life.
I think that today’s Gospel goes along hand in hand with yesterday’s Gospel and that we are like the people and we don’t truly understand Jesus, but we seek out to know Him and want Him to teach us. I think that we need to try to actually know who He actually is, and try our best to pay attention in the mass and in the scripture. Instead of thinking like it as every Sunday we go to mass and we go through the motions and are done with the day, we should think about all the pain and suffering Christ went though and went as far as to offer His life on the cross for us. We need to think to ourselves who Christ actually is, and instead of just going through the motions, we need to actually think about all the suffering He went though.
Today the Gospel foreshadows the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus because when Jesus’s disciples tell Him that others call him Elijah and John the Baptist, but Peter said The Christ of God Jesus tells them about what is going to happen. Each day the devil tries to lead us into sin, but to overcome that temptation we must believe in God and keep having the goal of holiness.
I love how you said to die to our self and put on Christ. I will try and do that to day by asking my Mom about her day instead of her asking me.
This is the exact scripture passage I was refering to yesterday. Which brings my heart back to what Christ says. Who do you say that I am? This must be a really important question to be said two days in a row. It is really important for you and I to respond to things that Jesus says. When something like this is repeated it means that Jesus is trying to talk to you. To speak to you through His Divine Book. I encourage you today to just flip to a random page in the Bible and read ALL of that page. I used to do this, but then slowly got out of the habit. This is something powerful. When I did it, I placed my hand on the cover of the Bible and really thought about what I needed from Jesus. I really thought about what I was struggling with. I imagined a wave crashing through Hell and destryoing all the evil forces. Then I flipped to a random page and guess what? It was a verse that was talking about a wave. I don’t remember exactly what else it said, but after that I felt peace. That God really was listening. The Bible is SO powerful, and some of us don’t realize how important it is. Many of us just let our Bibles sit there and collect dust. This is why I agree with Mr. Goertz. Read you Bible and Jesus will find a way to speak to you. If He doesn’t speack to you then, He will always try to find another way. Whether it is through a moment on the car ride home from school, or through whatever we do in our day to day lives. Love always finds a way to break through.
I can apply this to my life by spending time with Jesus at Mass and talking to him at Mass.
I can try becoming like Jesus because if I were truly happy with my life and be grateful for God to be my Father.
God is asking what people think he is in there life. I can use this in my life by praying the right way and talking to God before I eat or go to bed.
I think this is telling us that we should pay more attention to God and his scriptures and what he’s really trying to tell us. We should try to talk to God and listen to him through prayer.
I think this means to take a little time a day, God doesn’t care how much, but to take time for including him in your life. He is a wondrous God and our only true God.
I believe this is saying we need to be in a deeper love/prayer.
God’s love and mercy will never die, but we must continue to love and forgive.
I believe that Jesus is saying that he appears different to everyone but he is the same in many ways
This speaks to me by saying that God is God and there is no other one besides him.
this scripture is telling us that we need to see God for who he truly is and not see him as just some guy that loves us but some guy who loved us so much he DIED for us
it is the way that we see God as he is, not anybody else’s way. Everyone looks at God different and we need to trust in our beliefs even if they are not familiar.
This gospel is saying that God is always alive and he will always be alive, and he never did die. God is the one true God and He resurrected. We need to believe in God, but not just because our parents make us or we go to a catholic school.
God is asking what he is to others in there life. I can use this in my life by praying the right way and talking to God before I go to eat or go to bed.
Something that stuck out to me was when Jesus asked who others thought He was many of the disciples answered. But when Jesus asked who they say he is the only one to answer is Peter. We should strive to be like Peter. How often do we not speak for ourselves and follow the crowd instead of speaking out. Even on the little things like when the teacher asks if we think the answer is true or false. How many times do we just go with the crowed?
In the gospel today Jesus asked his apostles, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen.’” Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.” After I read this I was asking myself this same questions, but the answer is pretty simple, but if you think about it real closely then you could actually figure out who he really is. To me this gospel is telling me that I need to listen to Jesus and ask myself those kind of questions that have me thinking.
In this gospel Jesus telling his disciples that one day he will have to suffer and die on the cross. He also asks then who they think he is, they respond with the Christ of God. That is very important, he is our one true Savior who died for us because of the weight of the sins on the world. Everyone desperately needed that weight taken away, and once he died on the cross that’s when everyone realized he IS the Son of God. He loves us all, in desperate need, when you’re mad, when you’re happy. He is the WHOLE reason we’re alive, be thankful. That links to the question, “But who do you say that I am.” We know him BUT does everyone you could possibly think of know him. We Catholics know him, we must not abuse that knowledge. That’s basically what Jesus asked his disciples. This is what THIS gospel, the word of God, is telling me.
The way this speaks to me is by telling me to finally understand who he is and also to accept him into my life. Also to finally read scripture and bring him in fully.
i think this mean jesus is diffrent for every one he is diffrent he is every ones own way to describe him he is not the same to everyone
I think it means that He is God and always has been and that will never change
I can refer this to my life by knowing not everyone thinks the same. That people will judge me for what I believe, and that we just need to bring them to God.
Jesus is asking us who we think He is. He wants to know who we think He is. So, if we just talk more to God and not like words of prayer, we could get closer to him and we can think better of who He is.
i learned in this scripture that god said its not easy to get to heaven
we need to know who god is. one way we could start talking to God is buy praying every night or even just praying a decade of the rosary. I can start applying this to my life by doing all those things so i can become closer to God. God loves us so we should always love him.
We are like the people in this story, trying to understand who Jesus is. It might not make sense now but we still have to try to come to know and love Jesus more. We have to put Him first in everything, and remember that He sacrificed his life us.
The gospel is telling me today that I can say bad things about Jesus and think that he is anything that i want to think he is, but deep down inside I should know that Jesus is our savior, and that to me is the name I should call him.
Today Jesus asks “who do you think that I am” well my first answer is Jesus but is that my heart’s answer? or just my brain’s? today Jesus asks not just who he is physically, but who he is to us, so I have to ask that question to myself. Jesus is the literal only thing keeping me alive, if he did not love me, I would not exist. Jesus is or should be the MOST important person in my life, and I need to work harder to be the person God has created me to be, to me Jesus is the one person who I can tell everything to. All my problems and he turn them back to me with truth and gives me, not always what I want to hear but what I need to hear, whether uplifting or just a little humbling. reminds me I
In the Gospel today Jesus asked his disciples who people thought he was.He then revealed himself to his disciples. This Gospel is telling me that we should show that we adore Jesus everywhere we go and talk to him as if were talking to one of our friends every day.
Jesus is like anyone of us, human. So every day do you talked about the same old thing over and over again. Of course not! You talk to them about what is happening in your life. Which is the same way Jesus wants us to talk to him. When we start talking to him like we talk to our friends, then we can discover what Jesus is to us.
Jesus is saying to me that He thinks so highly of everyone on this earth because we are His creation, but who is He to us? To me, He is the one I can trust with everything. He is always there for me no matter how many sins I have committed, and no matter how much I love Him. He is prepared to be there for us our whole life and He won’t leave us alone to get through something without His help.
Jesus reveals Himself differently to everyone and He does it in small ways. We have to try to be like Him, even if we do it differently than others.
its saying that jesus died for our sin to save us all and in return we should worship him and praise him.
I can apply this scripture to my life by praying more deeply, so I can recognize Jesus for who He is. I need to recognize who He is in my life, and where He is. He needs to by at the center of my life.
Jesus asks us everyday who we think he is. It is up to us to keep that in our hearts and prove it to him and ourselves.
He prophisized his own death and reserection
I think that this means that we are afraid to ask God and Jesus just like the diciples were afraid to ask about his prophecy. He prophisised again his death, this time to us and yet we do not understand like we do not understand God and Jesus himself, but we still trust Him and love Him.
What I learned is that God will always be there for us no matter. And should talk to God as much as we talk to our friends and we should all pray to God more often .
