Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket
or under a bed,
and not to be placed on a lampstand?
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light.
Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.”
He also told them, “Take care what you hear.
The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,
and still more will be given to you.
To the one who has, more will be given;
from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” MK 4:21-25
Jesus teaches us today that He sees everything. He is the Light. The Light casts away darkness. St. Francis says, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” Jesus conquered sin and death and saved us. We will be judged by this Light. God made us in His image and likeness, takes away our Original Sin and replaces it with sanctifying grace, and Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit into us so that we would have nothing to hide. What are you hiding? What do you not want others to know and see. Work on it, bring it to Jesus and ask Him to uproot it.
The Truths revealed by Christ for the salvation of the world are not to be hidden. We are made out of love, it is not made to be held on to. We are called to read these Truths, memorize them, and live them in our actions. There is nothing more important than the Good News, Christ has risen, our sins are forgiven through baptism, and we are free from the bondage of sin and death.
We get so distracted from the most important thing that has been passed down to us. Jesus has risen. He is fully alive in the Eucharist, the Word, and the Holy Spirit is in us! Pass it on! The more love and compassion we give the more we recognize God’s love and compassion on us. The more generous we are with others the more we recognize the generosity God has with us. The more we forgive the more we learn of God’s mercy on us. The more we search out our identity and gifts God gave us to share with others and glorify Him, the more we recognize our purpose and live with passion and mission.
Today’s challenge: Find Truth, share love, live with passion! God is waiting for you to cooperate with Him and set the world on fire!
I think this means that we shouldn’t try to hide anything from God. He’ll know. Like Mrs. Mernagh’s sign, “I saw that.” -God. This pretty much means that no matter what, we won’t get away with anything. and that’s good, because then we’re held accountable, so we try to be a better Christian/Catholic.
Whatever you give to others is what you will get back in return from the Lord. Be the light in everyones lives because Jesus wants us to be the light everywhere we go. He wants us to follow him and be like him. We should never hide our light we should let everyone see. He wants us to know that whatever we do, he will return it to us in a better way. He will always be here for us. We have to show the light in ourselves.
Sometimes we try to hide from the light, because we are affraid of showing our flaws and insecurities. Jesus doesn’t want us to be afraid. He tries to be there for us, but we ignore him.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God to uproot the things i’m hiding and by sharing love to everyone I meet
Jesus is our light to guide us even if there is alot of darkness around you there will always be light if you find Jesus. Not even all the darkness in the world can block the light of a single candle thhat can guide you back to Jesus.
This reading is talking about if you give you will get more back. I can put this in my daily life by helping around the house and helping people in need.
This Gospel teaches me that whatever I do to others will be done to me. He says,”The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you.” This teaches me to always treat others with respect and with dignity. If I do this then my measure that which I measure will be measured back to me.
I can apply this to my life by listening to God through prayer, and i should focus more on the light (God) and not get so distracted by the things around me.
This scripture made me think that anytime we are in darkness in our liefes, if we can find that one source of light, being the Holy Spirit, we can do anything. With the Holy Spirit guiding us in the correct direction we can do whatever we want with even the slightest bit if light in our lifes.
What do we do with the light of Christ do we put it under the bed or in the closet? Jesus gives us the lamp of grace we need to get to heaven he gave us all we need now all we need is to love back. To put the lamp on the lampstand in the center of the room so we can bask in its gracefull light. It is our choice do we hide Gods love and put it away or do we love back and accept his grace.
I can apply this to my life by always being open with jesus. If my candle of grace burns out he will light it again if I go to him.
You wouldn’t put a flashlight under a pillow if you need to see. You would let it illuminate the room you’re in. This is kind of like what happened at the Crucifixion. The Sanhedrin tried to hide Jesus and make Him seem like not that big of a deal. Jesus is the flashlight and the Sanhedrin is the pillow. At the Resurrection, Jesus was the flashlight that beamed for all to see.
Grace is what we need to get to heaven. God gives us grace because he loves us, but if we are mortally sinning, we will be cut off from his grace.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light.”
What God is telling me throught the scripture today is that nothing is a secret to God. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. So we shouldn’t be ashamed when we sin , because he is watching us and understands. But we should repent and ask Him to help us be better and holier.
Christ is our light. We cannot just push Him away like He’s nothing. We must let Him into our hearts so we can build a personal relationship with Him, because that’s what we are meant to do.
We are given gods love but are we gonna hide it. He sent his son to a very painful death so that everyones sins could be forgiven. He gives you ways to love him but are you gonna use the ways or just “do it later”. You will get another chance but that is if you are alive to take that other chance. There is no telling how long you are going to live. Gods love will be around forever but you won’t. So take the oportunities. God gives you and take them and don’t have shame.
Okay, so in my book, I wrote about balance of darkness and light. I did this analogy for the many things that live. However, the darkness that I spoke of was not true darkness. Rather, it resembled hardship and disapline. Not only is that, but I brought the color Purple to it. Later I get into the matter of true darkness. But whatever the case, I don’t know if I did it right. Light is more of a resemblence of what we should live by. It resembles peace, virtue, and in the Christian case, love. In my book I talked about light and darkness in a war for one over the other. Both won and lost, and it became a balance once more of all the good things about the two. But then, in the midst of all of that, there was still one more obstacle. For Christians, it’s the Devil. Once we have overcome ourselves to Christ we must deal with the temptations of the Devil and overcome it. In my book, they overcame this and lived a happy and good life. The same is with us, once we deal with ourselves and Lucifer, then we can live the best life of all. In my book it was with the boy and the girl, with us, it’s the most perfect reunion with God!
In this passage we hear how we are called to go out and spread the Gospel because what good would it do if we keep the information to ourselves? We are called to spread the good news. And even if we only share it with one person, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”, so you will be making a difference!
God put us sin this world for a purpose. We should honor his kindness and generosity of bringing us here knowing we were going to sin and not be perfect.
In the scripture, Jesus asks if a lamp should be placed under a bushel basket or a bed, or a lampstand. If we place it under the basket or the bed, the light has no where to go and it stays dark. On the other hand, if it is on a lampstand, the lamp can illuminate a whole room. In a similar way, Jesus is our light. We must ask ourselves if we are hiding him under our “bushel baskets” like electronics or other distractions, or if he is outside shining for us and leading the way. We must learn to have Jesus out on our “lampstand” by practicing our faith, rather than being scared and hiding it and pushing it away.
God sees everything. Everything we do, everything we say, even everything we think. Jesus says “For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light”. jesus has seen every sin we’ve committed. Jesus already knows what you’re going to say in Confession, but we still have to go to Confession to be forgiven. A lot of people, myself included, are uncomfortable during Confession. It’s really hard to tell someone our sins, and sometimes we don’t say certain sins because we fear we’ll be judged by the priest for them. Priests are obligated to make sure whatever someone says in Confession stays in Confession, though that doesn’t make it any easier. But Jesus already knows. He already knows we messed up, and he’s willing to forgive us. All we have to do is confess them in Confession.
What I took away from this scripture is God is everything. God is the light to the world. God is the one who made us. God is alwasy there for us if we need him. We just need to pray more and talk to him more. He is fully alive in the Eucharist, the Word, and the Holy Spirit is in us. The more we search out our identity and gifts God gave us to share with others and glorify Him, the more we will recognize our purpose and live with passion and mission.
This scripture is telling us that Jesus can see everything from the people who are sinning and people who are really good and do good things, so we can need to be good even when we think no one is watching.
The voice Jesus speaks in today in the gospel today is almost mystifying. He says, “Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” Three sentences that aren’t very clear. But this is all Jesus says. The gospel is over, and Jesus leaves them there to sit. What is the meaning? I’ve learned that the gospels never have one meaning; they take the place of several meanings- infinite meanings. If we try to see what it is he is explaining, we can see it. The lamp at the beginning can represent how anybody is sent to evangelize. The lamp is the light, and it being under the bed is weak- it can’t evangelize. But it being on the lampstand spreads the light. We are called to it.
Jesus is the light in our life and can make any darkness leave. The darkness we face is usually sin and the devil wanting us to forget about Jesus. Jesus will never forget about us and we need to learn to not forget about Him.
Jesus sees all. We can’t hide anything from him, so instead of trying to hide what you are ashamed of, you can bring it to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. We can do this in confession. Confession is not something to make you feel bad about what you have done in the past, but bring it to light so that you can learn from your mistakes. Jesus is forgiving, so we should not be afraid to take our sins to him.
The gosspel is saying that God knows everything even are darkes secreats, and he wants us to be open to tell him.
I can reflect on this because we might want to do something God knows isn’t good for us, so we turn on him, we close him out and try to do what we think we want. But God knows what we want, so we should give him our full attention in everything we do cause he know what is best.
The Holy Spirit is the light in our darkness. If we find Jesus our world will be so much brighter and the darkness in our soul will be conquered by the light of Christ. He is the light in our world and without him, everything is concelaed by the darkness. We cannot push him away because is is the light of our lives.
In todays Gosple Jesus makes it simple he put us on this earth for a reason. He says “To the one who has, more will be given.” He means that the more you pray and the more you talk to him you will be given more grace by him. He died on the cross for ous sins so that one day we will reach heaven. If we talk to him and pary to him daily and ask for forgiveness it will be given to us. Jesus is cvery powerful he can heal anything if we just ask and pray to him for it. He doesn’t get it to us right away but the more we ask for it the faster it will be given pon us. So wait and it will be given unto you. Jesus loves us so much so we need to love him so much back and show that he is truly present in our hearts.
In this scripture reflection it is saying not to hide but come out of the darkness. God will cast out the Darkness and bad in our lives if we ask and pray.
The way that I intrepreted today’s scripture was that God made us in His image and Likeness. We shouldn’t hide from ourselves and the world. We are meant to be spreading the news and to love others. If we hide and don’t come out and share the world with others, then we are failing God and ourselves. “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” is the first thing that I thought of when I read the sripture, and I think it sums up everything.
In this Gospel I learned that we are all equal there is nobody that is better than the other person. We need to treat others how we would want to be treated. Jesus didn’t go mimicing what people said, or making fun of them for what shoes they had. I can apply this o my life by being respectful. I can complament people and try and be open to hanging out with new people. “I can do all things through Christ who streangthens me!”
The word of God is the light of the world. When we choose to ignore it, it is like placing the light under a bushel basket or a bed.
When we listen and act on the word of God, we place the light on a lampstand for the world to see.
“To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” When Jesus say this, he isn’t talking about physical items. Jesus is describing grace and mercy. Whoever has grace and mercy, will receive more grace and mercy. And whoever is lost in their faith may have trouble receiving more grace. Everything Jesus has ever said in the Gospel always comes back to having faith in the Father
There is darkness everywhere, around every corner the devil is following us. He’s watching over us just as much as God but he doesn’t love us. He just wants to torture us, he wants to be the worst thing in this world. He can cloud the world with darkness. It only takes one kind act that created a little light, and one little light can light up the room.
todays scripture says that God is the light and all the darkness in the world could not extinguish one single candle. We should not hide from him we should pray to him everyday and grow a relationship with him.
I beleive that jesus trying to tell us to reach our full potential. he wants us to enjoy a holy and prayer-full life. and once we know Jesus we can use this knowledge to evangelize and spread the good news.
In this Gospel I think of the times where people do stuff in secret so no one else can see. But someone can see, GOD. God sees everything you do and he knows you will do it. Like sister said in the video if you think that what you are bout to do will hurt Jesus then tell the Devil to go to Hell and ask Mary for protection from the snares of the devil. Because if you allow yourself to do that thing think of God having swords peiced into his hearts. Thats your sins, you dont want to see Jesus like that so dont do it.
Jesus said “The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” I think I need to start giving more becase evntually it will come back to me.
I can apply this scripture to my life by knowing Jesus put all of us on this earth for a reason. Jesus has a path for us and its up to us if we are going to take that path. We can’t be scared to show who we really are and what we are hidding from others.
Jesus is the all seeing eye. You cant hide anything from Him. He knows when you’ve made a bad confession, or reaceived the His body with mortal sin on your soul. Lying to God only makes things worse. Whatever you put in, you get out. The more you put in the more you get out. So why lie to the person who loves you the most. So go and give Jesus your all, and get even more back.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that God wants us to be open to him. He wants us to show the light. Jesus says, “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light” which means that He is the light which shines in the room. We should not cover the light with our materialistic distractions. Instead, we should talk to Him and deeply understand Him.
I can apply this scripture to my life by focusing on Gods words telling me that the truths revealed by Christ for the salvation of the world are not to be hidden. God sent his only son down to earth to save our souls from the devil. People in our world still do not beileve in all the miracles that Jesus has done. If we believe and spread the word of God to others we can countinue to grow as one whole.
What this scripture passage taught me was that God is the light of the world even when there is total darkness. Whenever we need him he will always be there to listen to us.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that whatever God put on this earth has a purpose including us.
Jesus is light. No matter what he will always be good and always love us. No matter what we do or what sins we have done, he will still love us no matter what. We can always pray to him and ask the Holy Spirit for guidence.
I can apply this to my daily life by listening to God through prayer. We can not hide. We need to come outr of the darkness to see how good the light really is.Jesus has a path for us and its up to us if we are going to take that path.
I can take away from this scripture that I need to be more grateful for what I have and not be ungrateful.Jesus gives us a choice everyday of what we are going to do.We shouldn’t take advantage of that, you are just cheating God if you do that.
The gospel is saying to us that even if we try to hide from God because of a sin we committed, he will always find us and bring us back to him no matter how bad the sin we committed is.
Sometimes we don’t want to confess things at confession because we are ashamed and don’t want God to know what we have done. But really, God knows everything, including things that we don’t say at confession, so by not saying them we really just are kind of not seeking forgiveness, yeah God will forgive you, but it’s better to seek forgiveness. God will know if we aren’t confessing something God will know what we’ve done whether we confess it or not. So we need to stop hiding things from God because you can never truly hide something from God.
Everything in life has a purpose, that goes from objects even to humans. Every person has their purpose. It could be something small or something huge. God woud never make something just for the sake of making something. He does everything with care and thoughtfulness.
God knows the people who are sinning and people who’re good, so we need to be good and make the right decisions when no one is looking.
God lights our way though anything. You may have dark times but he will be the light of your life. He loves and and always forgives us no matter what we do. He can’t hide from him, he’ll always be there. We need to listen to his words and fallow in his footsteps. We may do stuff behind pwople’s back but someone will always see, God sees everything and listens to everything you say.
This scripture passage tells us to share our gifts from God and to use them for the good of others. We shouldn’t hide our gifts from him, but we should embrace them. I can apply this to my life by using my gifts and talents from God and by alway using my best effort.
In this scripture i learned that Praying and talking to God he is going to fill you up with more grace. jesus suffered for us so that we don’t have to suffer. He talks to us everyday and he’s with us everyday. Receiving his Eucharist is him entering your body. He wants to start a relationship with you. He wants us to talk to him and go to confession, talk to him about our sins.
I take away from this that Jesus is the fire of the world and we are the oxygen keeping the flame alive. Without the grace that the people around us give it would be hard to stop temptation and sin. Without others it would be much harder to praise. The example set by our teachers, parents, priests, sibling, and all religious. They help us to see that he is what true love is like. Jesus is the ultimate exaple of how to love.
I can apply this to my everyday life by not hiding in the shadows, by not hiding my sins in the dark. Instead, I need to ask for Jesus’ light so I can see what I’m doing wrong, to fix it to where I’m doing it right. Jesus will always give you a lamp to see God’s forgiveness and love for each and individual person!
I can apply this Scripture to my life by shutting out the darkness around me by Jesus ‘s light. The devil is trying to temp us almost always and we have to say no to the darkness and come to God to help shine out the darkness. By coming to God and asking him for his light we can help repair our souls to make it to an internal light with him forever.
What i took for this scripture is that God wants us to show the light of him in us. When it says “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not on a lampstand?” That relates to us because we are hiding the light of God that is inside of us. We should show Gods light.
I see this as being not only gratefull fo rwhat yo have and what he gave you but useful. We should always see the light and follow it because we should focus on the part of our life that he is trying t brighten up but if we re not grateful, thankful, appresitative or Presentible he can remove everything if we do not follow him. so focus on the light and follow it never on the dark.
God can and will see everything that we do not what we did in the past and what we will do in the future. He knows exactly how we will turn out in the end for our final judgement, and he still tries to save those who we knows will go to hell. This is true love, true determination. He will still not abandon you even though he knows that you will choose not to be with him, he doesn’t care that you don’t want to be with him as long as he is with you for as long as he can. He will still try to get you to come to him. Humans tend to quit if they even think it is a lost cause or there is no hope, but Jesus will continue to love you no matter what when you choose to be with him in happines forever or he will stop loving you when you choose forever separation from him and all he ever offered you but you still rejected him.
I think God is telling us that he is the light. He is telling us we need to run to the light (Jesus) and let him wipe out the darkness. No darkness can get rid of all the light.
The gospel is telling us that He is made visible. And that we need to pay more attention towards God and Not our electronics.
You should always help people even though they didn’t help you. Even if this thing is so little it could light a big fire in their heart to help them do better.. And some day it could come abck around to you.
i could apply this to my life by sharing kindness to the people i meet.
In this gosepel Jesus says there is nothing to be hidden. I feel like Jesus is saying that you should not hide things from him. He is also saying that you should not hide the light from inside you.
Grace is our way to heaven. We need to stop pushing God away like he is nothing. We need to stop because he gave us everthing we have today and we take it for granted.
We are like the lamp that Jesus is talking about,we are not made to be like everyone else we are made to be different. And in another way us spreading the Gospel is like the lamps. Because if we choose to hide our faith and not tell everyone about it then what were we put on earth to do, we were not made to live for ourselves we were made to live for Jesus and made to spread the Gospel.
This scripture is telling me not to hide anything because it will soon enough come to the light.
I can apply this to my life by making sure that I pray everyday and not get distrated by the temptaions aroundme. I need to folow the light of God and love him with all my heart. I need to betruthful to God and not hide inthe showdows of my sins.
This reading was very different than the other one’s we have reflected on because normally I can read it and I know what it means but this time it took me a while to understand that this reading was telling us that we need to be proud of the gifts that God gave us. We can’t “hide them under a bushel baket” we have to use them for the good of all. So if I am smart then I should figure out something that will help everyone. If I am a good writer then write a book about how to become a good Catholic. If you have a special gift or talent use it and be proud of it.
I can pply this to my life by listening to God when I am praying.
Today i read That God is the light and we will be jugded the light. And that God created us in his image.
Jesus tells his deciples to put a lamp under there bed and that nothing is secret except to come to light. What I think this means is that God does not want us to keep secrets from people and we should be open. I can apply this to my life by telling the truth and not lying and also if you are doing something you shouldn’t stop and ask for permission or just don’t do it.
We hide from the light of God, fearing, and not telling God the truth. Like how Adam and Eve acted after they deceived God. God giving them a chance and asking what they were doing even though he already knew. Adam and Eve lied and tried to excuse their way out of it. After they were banished, God still loved them.
I feel like this scripture is saying that there is nothing you can hide from God, and you can’t hide anything from God because he knows everything.
In this Gosepl, Jesus tells us, “The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,
and still more will be given to you.” This speaks to me because it means whatever we do to others will be done to us. It really outlines the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you want done unto you.” Whether that’s something evil we do or something bad we do, we will recieve either our reward or punishment on Judgement Day. This is why we must show kindness to others, so that we may be saved and so that others may act on our example.
What I learned from today’s Gospel is that Jesus is our light and guide, and He will help us along the path to Heaven. What stood out to me was the phrase “The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you” This hepls teach us that how we treat others is how we should expect to be treated. This doesn’t just relate to on earth, but on Judgement Day where God decides to send us to Heaven or not. How we lived on earth and treated others is how we will be treated when we eventually pass away.
I can apply this scripture to my life by coming into the “light” and stay away from the darkness of the world. I can also ask God to help light the path to heaven for me and follow him.
In today’s scripture I realized that God is telling us that everyone is equal and God made us all the same in HIS own likeness and image nobody else’s but his and God loves us no matter what circumstances we are going through at that moment. God loves us and we need to love him back and put him #1 in our lives like he did for us.
Today in the Gospel it says that the measure with which you measure, will be measured out to you. I think this means that if you put forth your best effort, reward will come to you. “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” I think this means that if you are Christ-Like and follow the will of God, more good things will come of it. I can apply this to my life by doing things Christ-Like.
It is saying that we should listen to God and not be on our devices longer than we pray. Even if we do just the smallest deeds it could light a big fire.
Jesus knows all and He can see all. A example is when Adam and Eve ate from the tree and they hid because they were scared. Jesus knew where they were and told them to come out. Jesus is the light in this dark world. He see’s all of our sins and forgives them. This just shows how much He loves and us wants us to return to Him.
I feel that God is telling me that i need to agnolige that what i hear see and feel is from him.
If I can take one thing away from this scripture passage I will take what Jesus said,” The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” Today I will give my time to someone so that I will be repaid in heaven.
God’s love is endless. No matter how many times we sin, God’s love is abundant! That doesn’t mean that we are bad people when we sin, but we need to work on fighting the temptation.
God is saying to come to him while we pray to him
We shall spread light through the world and bring the dark to light… the light of God
this is telling us that we cant hide anything from God, we are the darkness and God Is the Light, there is nothing God doesnt see.
What the gospel is saying today is that He is the light and all knowing He knows everything that is going on and He will make us know what we are doing wrong. But He will never stop loving us and we can not just push him away because He will not let that happen.
I think this means that we should appreciate our gifts and use them to bring us closer to God. God is filling us up with his love and our gifts, so we should use those to light instead of hiding them and pushing them away.
I can apply this to my life by starting to pray a lot everyday and listening to God when I pray.
I think Jesus is talking about our talents and who we were meant to be and how we should share what we have been givin. He Could also be talking anout the fire the Holy Spirit put in us.
“Be who you are meant to be, and you will set the world on fire.”
St. Catherine
I think God is saying that since he is the light he will cast away the demons or the dark. God is also saying that the light can cleanze any darkness like sin. He is the light and the light will never be extinguished.
What I can take is that no one can change you only you can change yourself. How I know is that he didnt go around making fun of others and laughing at them and ask others what they think of that person or anything rude he treated people how he wanted to be treated.
From today’s scripture i got that God is light. When you are in dark times just remember that God is light and will always be there for you. God is like a bright light coming down from the sky it blinds everyone.
Today Jesus is telling us that we shouldn’t try to hide from him. I beileve the metepohor he uses is meant to ask us why we hide. The light is supposed to be our gifts. Our gifts are meant to be shared and given. When we use our gifts, its like a light, we can’t hide them. When we use our gifts, we are shedding light in the darkness that is sin. We try to hide out gifts and that is when we are put in darkness. But as we learned, all the darkness in the world can not exstinguish a small candle. So lets use our gifts and make the world a better place by shedding light on the darkness
To me this reading is reminding me that Christ is out light. I always forget this because I can’t see Him so how is He my light. He does not give me light when I am in the dark, but he gives me light for when I am scared and afraid of not being able to see or not wanting to see. He gives me light and salvation when I need it the most, but do I give light to others when they need it. When they aren’t colse to God or don’t even know God. Do we comfort eachother when we need to comfort eachother.
I think that it is saying that Jesus should not be hidden away and he should be shared. We should also protect the faith and let Jesus protect us.
I think that through this Gospel passage, God is trying to tell me to focus on the good in life. Don’t make the bad things the main focus in your life. Instead, focus on what tools God gave and still gives you to help you on your journey to Heaven. Because God will give you little things to help you get there, but He won’t do it for you, or make the decisions for you. You have to make the decisions yourself and chose if you are good or bad, right or wrong, and if you want to go to, and if your main focus is to go to Heaven or hell. That is YOUR decision to make, not God’s or anybody else’s. Just yours.
I can put this into my life and like in the scripture it said “the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,
and still more will be given to you.” It says here that the love of God is immeasureable, even after you put things into bad and injust situations He’ll always love you. It is very sad that people don’t wnat to know and love God and the people that stand up fot our faith are the most courageous people out there. It can be hard to be Catholic sometimes and I am so blessed that my family brought me into this life and wanted me to be fulfilled at a young age to know and be a servant of God. I know that the best of people can come from God.
This Gospel really spoke to me today because Jesus is the light. While we are lost in the darkness, Jesus is our light that we need to follow. He raidiates true Holiness and and power so that He can help us reach Heaven. We spend our whole lives trying to make the world a better place, and along the way we face challenges. We still need to climb that mountain to reach Him, just like the light. Like how we are lost this darkness, Jesus will truely shine for you. What we think our gaol is to to be completely happy so that we won’t be sad… but it is Jesus that makes us complete. He paves the way for us. We need to follow his path and in His footsteps so that we may reach Heaven and know the true meaning of complete happiness.
Today the Gospel is telling me that if i have i will be given. This doesnt mean that if i have something i will get whatever i want it means that if i have Jesus i will have eternal life which should be what i want all the time.
What I can have this relate to my life is that I can listen to God through prayer and in a very quiet room. Also, what I am getting from this message is that If you give more to others, you might be repaid with more. So you give and they give you stuff too. It’s a win win.
i think that this is saying that what goes around comes around and will hit you in the face if you do not do good
I think the scripture says to not keep God away from others and preach the word of God. and that if you are in the darkness he will always be the light of the world
This Gospel today is telling me not to hide anything, God has done so much and we should show it even if it’s something you don’t want to ,God loves us and we should love him to.
what this sctipture is saying is that God realizes that we mess up,make bad decisions ,do bad things on purpose but he still chooses to forgive us but that we need to try better and realize that when we do mess up god forgives us no matter how bad of a sin we made.He always chooses to forgive so we have to pay him back with the same respect he has for us.Praying on the daily and talking to Jesus can make the relationship between us stronger. You just have to learn from your mistakes and try again and still be able to love God as much as he loves us.
In the scripture today God is saying that you can be the light of the world. Telling you to always be positive. That you being positive can light up the world. It will make other people happy. He wants us to spread the word of God. He wants us to light up the world from darkness.
I can apply this to my life by realizing that when something bad happens I can remember that all the darkness in the world, every speck of darkness can’t extingwish the smallest or tiniest candle. If I can remember this I will be fine going through life. Now I am not saying I will be perfect I am just saying I will be okay. Jesus felt saddness and was hurt but he powered through it and is seated at the right hand of God.
To me this is saying that nothing exists to be hidden from God. God knows all, and will not allow anything past Him without him seeing. God knows everything whether we want Him to know it or not, because He created it all, and He made it the way it should be. Since God sees everything, we should try to not dissapoint Him, and to make Him proud with everything we do.
I think that todays Gospel is telling us to listen/look for God. To most people God is there and He’s talking to us but we don’t listen to Him. Today Jesus is telling us that He is trying to reach out to us. He compares this to something as weird as buying a lamp and then hiding it under the bed. Right now Jesus is our lamp (our light) and we are hiding Him. So we should try and bring Him out and talk to him.
Today the scripture is telling me that no matter how hard I try, I can’t hide things from God. You can commit a sin, not tell anyone, never confess it to a preist, never do anything about it until you die, and God will still know. He would have known the whole time. We need to realize this, and stop trying to hide our faults. It won’t matter if we hide them, so why try? Well, don’t get the wrong idea, we shouldn’t just go around sinning all the time because we shouldn’t hide our faults. No, we should still fight against the temptation of the devil. But we shouldn’t keep our sins secret.
I think that through this Scripture God is trying to tell me That It’s no secret Satan is trying to make you pure evil and it’s no secret that there’s darkness in the world, but us Catholics have to be strong against these dark Abysses and resist the temptations against satan. To strengthen our faith and friendship with God we Pray and go to Mass every Sunday. This will help us become strong against Satan’s, and will strengthen our spiritial aurmor.
Today we learned that God is our light. And when we are in the darkest times of our life God will guide us back to the light. Jesus see everything he is the light to cast away darkness.
God is saying that we dont need to be scared or we dont need to hide anythong because god knows all and whats best for us
I can apply this to my life by being open to Jesus, and also helping around my house by doing chores without being asked.
One thing that I can learn from this gospel today is that we cannot hide anything from God. This is a good motivation to not sin because God says what we did to others will be done to us, so we need to do good things. This gospel really makes you think about your actions.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God to uproot the things i’m hiding and by sharing love to everyone I meet
I can apply this to my life by knowing when i feel most lonely i will know that God is always there.
In this scripture i took away, that it takes one person to spread the word of God, you never know the impact it could have. Be the light and shine, dont be afraid to tell people about Jesus. He is the Lord and Savior.
