Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:
“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;
whoever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe:
in my name they will drive out demons,
they will speak new languages.
They will pick up serpents with their hands,
and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them,
was taken up into heaven
and took his seat at the right hand of God.
But they went forth and preached everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them
and confirmed the word through accompanying signs. MK 16:15-20

Before we can spread the Good News to every nation, we must know what it is. It is found in the Scriptures and through persistent prayer. Never stop reminding yourself of God’s love for us by reading and praying with the Scriptures. “The Good News is we killed God with our sins and He came back and told us He loves us and forgives us.” Fr. Robert Barron

I don’t know about you, but I often wonder if I am doing enough to spread the Good News. As a parent, it becomes a thought of mine often and I feel guilty if I am not spending enough time with my family. After we have kept the Good News alive in our heart, soul, and mind we are first called to spread this Good News in our homes. For me, this is the hardest place. I am humbled because I fail at loving in my home sometimes on a daily basis with four kids, work, a wonderful wife, sports schedules, and housework. It is easy to to get angry, frustrated, tired, and not show love. This is heaven’s playground where God is forming us to become saints. We cannot allow the Devil to take away our joy. We must struggle and learn how to love and suffer before we can know how much God loves us and how much Jesus had to bear because of us. When we start to understand suffering and love, we can bring the Good News to others outside self and our homes. We do this every time we pray, do a good deed, and just simply love! “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

Christianity has spread most quickly by being an example of Jesus Christ, just love!

Today’s challenge: Believe. Repent, change your life, and spread the Good News every day the Lord blesses us with time to do it!

Be a servant, become a saint!
