Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples.
A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea.
Hearing what he was doing,
a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem,
from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan,
and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.
He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known. MK 3:7-12
Why do people desire Jesus? On the surface, because he heals them. Spiritually, he has mercy on them as a sinner and frees them from sin. More deeply though, He has what we want, POWER! Lucifer, the fallen angel, the most powerful angel wanted that power more than anything and could not have it. Today, Lucifer continues to seek and destroy love wherever he can, especially marriage and the family is under attack. We want to control everything in our lives and we are so upset when our plans don’t work out. We are upset when we can’t control people in our relationships and make them do what we want. Power when used incorrectly is about popularity or status, wealth, strength, high positions, awards, and achievement. It is not wrong to achieve when we use the gifts God has blessed us with to the best of our ability to share with others. The problem is when we obsess over it, work too many hours and leave our families behind, miss Mass for weekend sports tournaments, and have to go into extreme debt to keep up a fake life of wealth to keep up our status. Mother Teresa said, “In the end, it is always between you and God.”
Jesus has done an amazing job of revealing Himself to us in the last 3 weeks. He comes to us as a baby, completely innocent and poor. He is revealed at the Epiphany and worshiped by earthly kings recognizing Him as the one who has all of the POWER and is the one True King. He is adored by the shepherds who were told by angels that God is on earth to bring peace to His people. Zechariah and Anna reveal at the Presentation in the temple, “This child will be responsible for the rise and fall of many in Israel”. Mary’s heart is pierced which begins a sorrowful and suffering heart that recognizes the most POWERFUL will have to suffer and die to REDEEM all sinners. Then, John the Baptist speaks prophetic words, “Behold, the Lamb of God”. God speaks from the heavens and says, “This is my beloved Son of whom I am well pleased”. Now, we enter into Jesus’s healing ministry in the Gospel of Mark. This is to fulfill prophecies from the Old Testament about a Messiah who will come to save His people. It is to draw people to Him. But, most importantly it is to teach us how to use POWER correctly, by SERVING and HUMILITY. Jesus uses the greatest power to serve. He uses it to love. He uses it to have compassion on others.
Most importantly, we struggle with POWER every day of our lives. If we truly desire God in our hearts, we must let go of all of our power and submit to the ONE POWER that can make us the most joyful in this life and the next. Our identity is in the GREATEST POWER through His death and resurrection, we are made in His image and likeness, we are baptized into His family and become His child, through the blood of Christ we become His brother or sister, the GREATEST POWER lives in us in the Holy Spirit and is given to us in the SACRAMENTS. God’s grace is His life in us. This is why the saints went to Mass daily sometimes more and to confession sometimes daily or weekly. They recognized how POWERLESS they were and how much POWER God had to help them be holy and fight Satan. God desires nothing more than to give you His love and grace. Our greatest POWER is living to be the person God made us to be and sharing that with others.
God’s love is the most POWERFUL thing in the world. It conquered sin and death. It overcomes evil and darkness in our world. It forgives and is for giving. It heals. It changes lives and creates lives. Most importantly, God’s POWER is LOVE. There is no greater POWER than God’s LOVE in all the world. NOTHING has ever beat God’s LOVE!!! Our POWER is pale in comparison to God’s POWER. We will be held accountable by this POWER on judgment day. At some point we are going to have to submit to the POWER that created us, it would be smart not to let that be our death bed. It would also be wise to humbly submit to Him, give Him everything, visit Him daily in prayer, invite Him into our daily activities and especially our temptations, visit His mother daily and ask for her help since He told us to from the Cross, receive Him at Mass, and share Him with others by modeling Him in our lives being who we were created to be. Why do people desire Jesus and want to get so close to Him and crush Him? Holiness is attractive. He is the Way to our heavenly home, our hearts greatest desire. He gives us the POWER to get there and the joy is overwhelming.
Today’s challenge: Make a habit of getting up early in the morning to spend time with Jesus to make Him the center of your life, not just a part of your life. Give up yourself totally and completely to Him through Mary and everything you own. Allow Him to have power over you, so that you have power over the Devil and your desires.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
That we have to follow God and do what he says to do. To not try to be more powerful than him and let him lead you to where you need to go.
I can apply this to my life by waking up in the morning and talking to God. God gives me so much and I give him so little. I need to be better at being grateful for everything and not being needy for more.
We need to desire Jesus not just because he heals us, but because we need him to show us the way. He will heal us, and forgive us just like we should. We should be like Jesus and not want to tear others down but help them, “heal” them, by comforting them, letting them know that they are loved, etc.
I can reflect on this scripture by trusting in God’s power.
We have to love and follow Jesus always and never let Lucifer affect our lives. We need to pray everyday to be holy and keep the devil away.
God’s love is the best thing in life.I have lots of power but the one power we need is a power to love God. We can’t just say we love God we have to say it trough prayer and mass.
The people who were chasing Jesus chased him because he had power. And then when people heard that they wanted his power
We have to make Jesus the center of our lives. We have to invite him to be with us in our everyday lives. Gods power is love and there is no greater power.
I think people desire Jesus because they are going through tough times weather it be family problems of financial problems. We all need Jesus in our daily life so that he can guide us so these problems don’t happen. Even if Jesus is a baby, it doesn’t mean that we still cant believe or pray to him for he is powerful no matter where or what he is.
How I can apply this to my daily life is by letting the Holy Spirit into my life more by praying and offering more sacrifices. Also I will try to do more of what Mr. Goertz says like putting my shoes under my bed and putting my bible on my pillow.
I can apply this to my life by letting Jesus in to my boat, and follow Jesus and not the crowd. I can also trust that God will make the right decision for me.
Did you know that Jesus didn’t want to be popular? In fact, whenever Jesus made a miracle happen, he always told the people there to never speak about it. Yes, he did need some friends in times, but he never want HUGE CROWDS. Do you realize whenever you do something embarrassing you never want to be popular. I think that Jesus was like that. (Not that he was embarrassed to make miracles happen). This Sunday we will be talking about another boat. The boat that Peter, Andrew, James, and John were on. Let Jesus call to you this Sunday. God Bless you.
On the surface, we feel like we want Jesus more than anything in the world, but really, we don’t. We need Jesus to heal us from our sins and go to mass on holy days of obligation. When we are healed in the sacrament of confession, we need to strive to not have the same sins when we return and have less sins, too.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that I have to humbly submit myself to God and Jesus. He heals us and will always love us. We all desire him because we need him and want to have that kind of power and love. We could always try to love like Jesus and we will get somewhere by loving like him.
every one whats to meet Jesus, and every one should be running to God
Today’s scripture tells me that even if we don’t really realize that we should always follow Jesus, the best decision of our life is to follow him in anything we do
I can apply this to my life by remembering why we follow Jesus. We follow Jesus because we need him he has what we want and want we need. We need to want him because we need him and without him we have absolutely no hope 80 years and were are done. We need him and we should want him because he has what we want eternal happiness the thing we seek and long our whole lives. We often do not realize what we truly want is who we need. And Jesus wants us to he is doing everything he can to get us to heaven. It is only a matter of if we except him we except the truth the way and the life we must accept and follow him in crowds as a parish. We need Christ we want Christ and he wants us.
God has all of the power he can give it to you but he can also take it away that is why god should always be first in you life
I can apply this to my life by realizing that it is by my own free will to pray but this prayer will help me out tremendously. So every morning I need to wake up and pray just for at least 10 minutes before I get ready
This scripture is showing us that we should come to Jesus no matter how far away we might be. It also shows us that, even though God can see our struggles, He can’t solve all of them instantly. We need to be dependent on God, but we cannot rely on Him to solve the problems that we have to solve ourselves.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and giving Him my power and attention. When I do this, I can let go of all the materialistic things happening in my life and do His Will. By doing this, I can feel better towards myself and others.
I can apply this to my life by trusting in God, and talking to him.
I can apply this to my daily life by praying every morning and realizing that every time I pray I grow closer to God.
When we wake up every Sunday morning we need to want to go to mass and we need to want Jesus. not just because we don’t want to go to hell. But because we want to be with Jesus and we want to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.
I can apply this to my life by not always wanting attention like some people do, because that attention can bring terrible things in your life. I am not saying though that yo have to be shy. You can have many friends, but sometimes you have to step back for a little bit and just get away from everything in this world. God Bless and have a wonderful day.
At that time everybody knew who Jesus was and that he was the sun of God and that he had come to save everyone from their sins. What I could take away from this is that I should be much better with following Jesus than I already am and that I need to work harder at that.
We need to follow God by letting Him into our boat. We can do this by praying daily and going to Mass on every Sunday.
In the Gospel today we should be overwhelmed by the love God has for us. Jesus is so powerful even the demons know him.
I can take away from this God can cure any sickness no matter physical or spiritual.
That we have to follow God and do what he says and pray everyday and keep the devil away.
We need to make Jesus the center of our life, so we can turn to him when we have problems. Then understand how to handle them.
We must not get wrapped up in all the things of the world. We have a big problem with desiring popularity and wealth. God wants us to leave all of that nonsense behind and follow him.
I can apply this to my life by not letting Satan destroy love and receiving Gods power to help make him the center of my life
We should realize why we follow Jesus, it is not just because he forgives us or heals us, it is because he loves us and he wants us to reach Heaven so we can be with him. We need to trust in Christ to lead us in the right path to the Father.
Nothing is impossible for God that is why we should follow him
I can apply this to my life by knowing the right decision for me and following Jesus. I need to start letting others into my boat.
I think this is telling me that we need to follow God with our hearts and trust him. He will always be there for you when you need help, but you have to trust him. You have to love him with your whole heart, mind, body, and soul.
We should follow God because He is good and the perfect model for all of us. He doesn’t sin and he treats everyone with love.
We have got to focus our life around God. Each morning we need to wake up and become excited to talk to God that day. He is the one in charge, not us. He chose and planned out our paths so we could follow him to happiness. If we just listen to Him and talk to Him, we will truly understand his love, compassion, and power over/for us.
This is a very strong scripture passage that we have here today. It’s actually a very remarkable one, it shows how many people were knowing and accepting of Christ. How desperate they were to be cured of the Son Of God from there, “incurable diseases.” Those who were grateful being some of his most trusted advocates his, “disciples.” Ready to learn and instruct with God, and how much this scripture touches me as a student to follow and be one with God through my teachers. How today we are very self-conscious self minded individuals God teaches us all to be one, and follow him for true happiness. That is my great takeaway from the scriptures
Jesus had a lot of power, which is why we want Him so much. We struggle with power everyday, and the only way to get help for that struggle is by turning to and trusting God. He has the power, we just have to be able to realize it, and once we realize God has the power, not us, then we need to trust Him to take care of and watch over us.
The whole world knew him,(well, at least a lot of people) and yet, some of them only believed after they saw him work a mericle, and some others, not even then. We have heard of his teachings even down to this generation, the question is “Do we need to see him heal the others in order to believe in him ourselves?” Is this why Jesus warned those who witnessed the mearicles not to tell anybody about it? He doesn’t want it to take a mericle to raise a catholic, like it supposedly takes a village to raise a child.
We should follow Him like the people from Galilee and from Judea. They followed him after he came from the sea, as we should follow HIm in everyday life. Following Him, is following our path to the Kingdom of God and happiness.
What I think God is trying to tell me today in scripture is that he wants me to go out in my boat and invite God into it. We can’t live without his eternal love. The devil will always try to bombard are everyday living with temptations, and we must stay strong and ask the saints, the angels, the Holy Ghost, and God to guide us in this epic struggle.
I think people desire Jesus because they sometimes need someone to lean on. If someone hurts you, you more than likely won’t talk to them because of the reason that they hurt you. If someone hurts you, you feel bad, you feel like nobody likes you and that you have a sickness or even a disease. In the Gospel Jesus says that “He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases” to me this means that He is always going to be there for you even if you are sick or are feeling like nobody cares about you. God will always care about you no matter what is going on.
Something I got from the Gospel today is that through tough times we need to fall at Jesus’ feet and remember that He loves us and wants to be there for us to help us. We need to be able to realize that God is all powerful and that he is fully love.
We desire Jesus to heal us and to be like him. God is the most powerful thing in the world,so we should try to to be better than him.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that God’s love is unconditional. He loves us all so much that he died for us, to have eternal life.
I can apply this to my life by coming to Jesus when I hear about him. I should tell others to and try to be like the people in the Goepel who came to see him because of what they heard about him.
Today’s Scripture is telling us that God gives us his love and desire everyday even though we don’t know it. He’s always there for us.
I can apply this to my life by praying and going to confession. I can follow Jesus and make him the center of my life like his disciples.
We should all have a fear of God no matter who we are or what we do. God can do anything and everything and we should be scared to go to hell. God created us he has the power to wipe us away.
I think that God wants us to be humble, I think that Jesus told the people not to make him known because he didn’t want us to say “Hey look what God did for me!”
This passage shows us that we need God. Also that if unclean spirits bow down to him why don’t we? That is what we all need to think about. We need God he doesn’t need us. We should be praying to be healed by God.
In this scripture Jesus is like a rock star he’s so famous that he needs to be in a boat just so he won’t get crushed. In our society he sadly is not that popular. We should have church’s so stuffed with people that there isn’t even enough room for everyone in the Church and the parking lot. Thats what mass should look like, so many people you would need an entire truck full of Eucharists just for one mass. Christmas eve mass is supper stuffed, my family got there five minutes early and we still had to sit out in holy hallway. If mass was like that every day and at every church, God would be amazed. We need to show some faith.
We have to understand that Jesus is a very powerful companion by our side. He is always here to help us no matter what. Through the Sacraments, we can grow closer to him. In growing closer to him we will receive the gift of eternal life.
This scripture is telling me that we need to actually believe in him. Yeah, we believe in him but we just look at it on the surface. This is telling me that we need to believe in him for all he has done for us.
People wanted to see Jesus because he could heal people and perform miracles, and that was HUGE…so were the crowds. Jesus wanted to be alone so that he could pray. He got into a boat and preached and cured many.
If we follow and love Jesus he will always be there for us no matter what, he loves us and always will, we need to wake up and pray to him and trust in him because if we trust in him than we will be able to grow closer to God, we need to know to follow Jesus but also know why we are following him. If we make Jesus the center of our lives than we will be able to put all of our problems to the side and follow him. Jesus is and has what we need for a good life, we need to make him our number one priority because he gave us everything we have and in return we need to follow and pray and believe in him. We need to give him all of our attention in our lives and just follow him no matter what ecause he gives us everything we need.
We need to be able to let Jesus into our lives. Everywhere we go, we should know that Jesus is with us. God has a plan for us, and He is always with us.
Why do we follow Jesus? Is it because we truly believe that he is true and real. Or is it because, at birth, our parents made the decision that we were going to be catholic Christians? For a lot of people, it’s because we were born like this. We need to truly believe that he is truly alive in the Eucharist. we need to Profess our Catholic faith and be followers of Jesus Christ!
I can apply this to my life by not always wanting attention, because that attention can bring terrible things in your life. I am not saying that you have to be shy. You can have many friends, but sometimes you have to step back for a little bit and just get away from everything in this world.
We desire to attain power by getting lots of things, but that’s fake power. God gives us true power. The crowds followed Jesus because they realized this and wanted God’s true power. Lucifer wants us to think that material things are the way to true power, but they aren’t.
Since He is not physically walking around earth anymore, we can do this by doing His will. If we are always in a state of grace, we can go to heaven one day.
From this passage, I can learn to be more humble like Jesus. Whenever Jesus performed a miracle He never showboated or made sure everyone saw him do it. He even told his disciples to not tell people about some of His miracles. So I should learn to be more humble every day.
I think that we need to listen to God. He is always right because he is all-knowing. His will is what we need to strive to follow to the best of our abilities.
More people are starting to follow Jesus now because they know what He can do. We should always follow Jesus no matter what we’re going though because He will always help us through it.
As humans we want to be the most athletic, the smartest, the most popular, the best looking, really just the best at anything. We look down on those who are worse than us. Through it all there is Jesus. He is there to say “hey, you aren’t the most powerful one there, but my Father and I love you for it. ” God and Jesus love us through our flaws, and they will be there for us through it all.
We should trust God with our heart, mind, and soul. We have to let him into our boat, and let Him lead the way. God is the most trustful person out there.
Jesus was very popular. He attracted huge crowds. He was popular and sought out by people because he heals them physically and spiritually. He brings them joy in his teachings and healings. He didn’t want large crowds around him that’s why he asked those he healed to not tell anyone, but those people would do so anyway. In order to live a good life, we all have to seek out the one true power that is the Lord Himself and submit to Him and humble before Him. He is able to take us to everlasting happiness. That is why we must let God have power over us.
Thinking upon this scripture there is only a very few words you can say and one of them is WOW. Just think Jesus told his disciples to have a boat ready for Him because He feared the crowd might crush him. That is a lot of people. Not only did the people come to him in floods asking to cure them, but even the Unclean Spirits when they saw Jesus they fell down and cried out loud to him, “YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD.” Can you imagine that a giant crowd coming toward Jesus that is so large they could crush him, and all of them coming to Him to see Him and be cured. Cured of whatever was upon them. Then you also see the evil spirits and demons who had possessed people, and fall down and cry out to Jesus that HE is the Son of God. It is just amazing, but we can’t forget that even though Jesus is up in Heaven he still can perform miracles. Jesus who walked the earth a short 2,000 years ago still is performing miracles today. Just ask and you shall find.
GOD IS THE MOST POWERFUL THING!!!! I think lots of times we forget this, we often put many things before God. Instead of spending time with God we would rather be on our phones, playing video games, hanging out with friends, or doing literally anything else than sitting in silence with God. We need God! He doesn’t need us, but we need him! This is important to remember. We don’t need our phones, video games, or literally anything else not related to God.
We have to make Jesus the center of our lives and trust him with all our heart. He deserves to be the one thing that we give our life to.
I can apply this passage to my life by trusting and loving God. If I trust God and he does his work I can become a greater more faithful catholic. I also learned that If I trust God I shouldn’t be afraid to say my sins to a priest in confession. Since I each day trust God even more I know that I can pray about something and God will do his almighty works.
In the gospel today, we hear how popular Jesus is. There are hundreds of people waiting to hear what Jesus has to say. He is so great that we gather and to follow him because he is our God. He is our Father. He is our savior.
We need to pay attention to mass. If we don’t we need to bring our focus back to God. If we also fall away from God we need to be brought back and be able to keep our heads high and be able to go to mass and receive Jesus and to also go to reconciliation.
I need to realize that Jesus was a human and everyone saw him and were over whelmed to have him fix his problems. I need to realize that God isnreal and will do anything to help me. I don’t want to always make everything about me.
I can apply this to my life by following God in his footsteps and not go on with a bad group of people
This is saying that we need to follow Jesus. If we hear Him telling us to do something then we should do it. We also should follow what Jesus has already told us to do like follow the commandments and live our lives like Jesus lived His.
I think this Scripture is trying to tell us that we need to prioritize and love others than power. Sometimes power overcomes us and we don’t care about anyone anymore. This is why Jesus taught us to love others and forgive others too. In the end, it’s not what we have on Earth, but it is what we did for others.
Jesus wanted a boat ready because the people were going to crowd him. These people were in need of Him. They heard that he has cured many many people, and they needed help. We need Jesus to cure us. He cures us in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Today we are learning that all the unclean spirits in the world, that are causing us to do bad are just getting worse. Half of all these things are our choices. God is in our life, and if God is in our life then we have the greatest advantage we could ever get. Bad spirits want us to do bad things, just like the devil, good spirits want us to find the ebst version of ourselves, just like God. As you said that jesus has done a good job at reavling himself, it is true and He has given us so many chances that soemtimes we don’t even notice we are commiting a sin. We all just need to slow down and thank God for all of the chances he given to us, and all of the choices we are aloowed ti mkae in our lifes, the good choices and the bad choices.
The part where Jesus doesn’t want to be made known shows me that to follow Him and love Him truly, we need to make that choice for ourselves. To find for ourselves that Jesus is the Messiah, is a very important part of our faith, it is a key aspect.
I have the freewill to decide when to pray, I need to let God into my life more and let him show me the way.
Jesus is telling us that we need to be patient and let him guide us. Jesus wants us to go to heaven we just need to listen to him. I’m going to apply this to my life by being more patient with the adults in my life and spend more time in silence.
What God is trying to tell us in the scriptures is that we need to let God in our lives. It is okay if it will take a while as long as you know what he is trying to teach you. We should learn from our mistakes and prefect what we got wrong. If we follow, love and ask for guidance from God we can make it to heaven. We need to imprint God’s teachings into our daily lives. We need to love and cherish what we have from God and what he gave us.
God loves us and he will always love us no matter what we do. Even when we think God is not with us he is he is with us always. GOD IS THE WAY.
We need to prepare ourselves for Jesus when we are about to receive Him in the Eucharist and when we are praying to Him. We also need to follow and accept God in the best possible way that we can. We need to open our boats to God and spread and live out to Gospel.
We need to actually believe in God and trust Him. We get used to the society we live in and forget to make God the center of our lives. God is all powerful and He has unconditional love for us, so we need to remember that even if we feel alone God will always be there for us. Remember we need God, He does not need us.
Jesus is telling me that He has the power to do anything. He could come down to this Earth right now. He can do anything. Jesus is telling me that nothing is impossible for him. He is also telling me that we should not want to become very powerful like the devil. We need to be thankful for what God has given us and help others with our gifts that God has given us.
In today’s Gospel I read about how the diseased people wanted to be cured so badly that they almost forced Jesus to heal them. They want him to do what they want. I can relate to this, because sometimes in prayer I ask God to do what I want and to give me what I want without saying that his will should be done. I will apply this to my life by knowing that God has the power and chooses what happens in my life. While I do have control of the way I handle these challenges he gives me, he is almighty and powerful and, at the end of the day, his will is done.
I can apply this passage to my life by making God the center of my life. I need to truly desire him. God is the all powerful, the almighty. He is the one true king.
I can apply this to my everyday life by doing some and letting God do the rest, He loves us and ALWAYS wants to take care of us! We should put our trust all in him and say, “I love you and I trust you, YOUR WILL BE DONE!!”
I can apply this to my life by humbly submitting myself to God and understanding that he loves me and will do anything to keep me safe. It is also important to realize just how powerful God is and that he has all the power in the universe and he wants to forgive.
We must sudmidt ourselves to God and connect with God through Mary and ask them questions to help us and respond to their questions through prayer.
Today’s scripture tells us that we need to always follow God and say no to the devil’s temptations. It also tells us that God always does so much for us and we don’t give anything back to him.
I think it’s interesting that it mentions that people are coming to Jesus for physical healing, but it seldom mentions coming to him for spiritual healing, and maybe that’s because of the people who were coming. The people probably had to much pride to come to Jesus for spiritual healing, and I think that’s why the only people we hear about coming to him for spiritual healing is the people who are already so low on society’s list, that they can’t sink any lower. Think about it. You’ve heard about the women who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears and hair and asking him for spiritual healing, right after we hear the scribes and priests tell Jesus he shouldn’t stay there because the woman is a sinner. Sometimes pride is the main reason why we don’t surrender ourselves to God. We are too prideful in ourselves, and think we have it all worked out, and that we don’t need God. But we do need God. So get rid of your pride and submit yourself to God’s will, and you’ll be a lot happier in the end.
The way I see the scripture today is that many people come to Jesus, but a lot of the times for the wrong reason. Many people aren’t faithful to God during their life, and only come to Jesus when the want something to be done, such as being healed. This is because they see that Jesus has power that they want to use. We should put Jesus in the center of our life so he is always there, rather than just praying to him when we want something.
I think that today reading says that we need to follow and trust in god. We sometimes forget how he is the most important thing in our lives and how powerful he is.
I can apply this to my life by seeing how if this guy got 2 million people- 1 million more than 1 million dollars- to follow him, that is pretty dang impressive. I mean, has anyone else had 2 mil following him wherever he goes??? NO! this just proves that Jesus is the Savior, and he was pretty good at it. believing in Jesus is “Just a leap of faith.” -Spiderman: into the Spiderverse
I know I should have full faith in God and believe the love he has for us. I should be humble about having more things and be thankful for them.
We have to not only listen to God but believe in him to answer your questions and prayers, we need to follow him and let him guide us to our path that he has made.
when God tells us to do something its better to do it and trust him even if for some reason it doesnt seem right. God is always right
This Gospel today is saying God has the power for anything. He has done so many wonderful things in this world like miracles. God is the most powerful person in this world so why do we think we have the power over him sometimes because we don’t. We should love God as much as he loves us and always be ready to hear what he is trying to say to us in our heart. There should be a time where we just sit down and listen to God’s call he loves us.
I can apply this to my life by making Jesus the center of my life. I can make him the center of my life by waking up early to pray, read the Bible more often, and go to daily Mass as often as I can. By doing all of these, I will become to Jesus, the one and only king.
I can apply this scripture to my life today because sometimes i find myself being like the diseased people. But not in a good way because they don’t really think about what Jesus wants, the only thing on their mind is getting cured. Sometimes when I pray, I find myself just asking and asking for what I think is what I need, and I don’t bother to pray for God’s will. After reading this passage, I will try to add at the end of every prayer I pray, “If you wish it lord”
We all need God. People, even from lands that were far away, came to see Jesus. There were so many of them wanting Him, the Apostles had to put Him in a boat so they wouldn’t crush Him. We need to realize that we need to follow Jesus like all of those people did. Even if we don’t feel close to God, He is always with us and we should strive to be with Him.
In this scripture it show me that Jesus is the ALMIGHTY ONE. It has been said through out the Bible that Jesus will do great things. And he did just that.
In today’s gospel Jesus is telling us that we have a free will to pray. We also should follow in his footsteps.
People believed in Jesus because they knew he was almighty and great. We today adore the mighty and great, the same Jesus’ followers
did.
Today, the growing crowds of people from Judea, Jerusalem and Galilee come in vast amounts, urging themselves nearer to Jesus, and his beloved companions. They feel their hearts rapidly jolting towards him, seeking his loving acts of faith, and unending grace. With determination, and perseverance, their souls quickly draw near to successfully hear his word and faithfully bask in his love.
This scripture told me that Jesus has the power to do anything. People take his miracles to the max, and all the sick people force him to heal him, but you can’t force someone to do something
We need to believe in the Lord with our who heart. Yes, we believe in him on the surface, but if we allow ourselves to grow closer, then we will get below the surface, and only then will we fully believe.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that God is almighty and that I should trust with what God will do with my life.
I think that God wants us to be humble, I think that Jesus told the people not to make him known because he didn’t want us to say “Hey look what God did for me!”
I can put this in my life is by letting Jesus in my boat and letting the Holy Spirit guiding me.
This shows that what God can do and what God can do for the people around you if you just let him into you’re life and you let him in you’re boat.
This shows that what God can do and what God can do for the people around you if you just let him into you’re life and you let him in you’re boat and let him love you
All the people wanted to be cured, they never asked for spiritual guidance though. That’s basically mirroring us today, we ask Jesus for miracles and people to get better, which is good. But, we also need spiritual guidance. We need God’s grace to live, without his grace life would be just, dumb. Life would be cloudy and joyless, no one wants to live like that. When we see Jesus in Heaven, we just need to fall on our knees.
I need to pray more and have a little more faith in God than I do now. I mean, 2 million people following a single person? That’s real determination. And we need that today! Not many people are believing in Jesus, or any religion in this case, anymore and that needs to change.
We desire Jesus no because he can heal us but becasue we need him to show us the way.
