Today Paul says,
“But even if we or an angel from heaven
should preach to you a gospel
other than the one that we preached to you,
let that one be accursed!”
and
“Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,
that the Gospel preached by me is not of human origin.
For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it,
but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.”  Gal 1:6-12

Once again the Word (Jesus’s revelation to us from the Father for us to be saved), the Gospel, the Good News, must be opened, read, reflected upon, kept holy and lived as the only truth because it comes from Truth-God.  I challenge you once again to read the Scriptures daily and allow God in!  It will change your life forever.  Put your Bible on your pillow, nightstand, in the car to read on the way to school or practice.

Jesus reveals to us in the Scriptures today how to inherit eternal life, listen up!
““Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law?
How do you read it?”
He said in reply,
“You shall love the Lord, your God,
with all your heart,
with all your being,
with all your strength,
and with all your mind,
and your neighbor as yourself.”
He replied to him, “You have answered correctly;
do this and you will live.”

He goes on further to define for us who our neighbor is, the Good Samaritan helping the man who was beat up by robbers.
“Which of these three, in your opinion,
was neighbor to the robbers’ victim?”
He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.”
Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.””  Lk 10:25-37

If you did not read the Scriptures today or another day in the past, would you have known how to gain eternal life and how to be a good neighbor.  We are called to be missionaries in our own homes, in our schools, and in our community.  We are called to be saints right here in this family, with the people of this school, in this Wichita community.  Are you being neighbor and treating all with mercy?  Are you keeping the great commandments and putting God first and others before yourself?  God can’t make it any simpler today.  Examine your life and see if you are worthy to gain eternal life.
