Jesus is the Cornerstone

Listen to the Word today in Mass!
Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes?  Mt. 21:33-43

The Israelites were the chosen people, the Jews, and they have rejected Jesus in their presence.  Jesus is foreshadowing His crucifixion today to the Jews.  They are not accepting His Word.  8th graders, you should be seeing the Scriptures coming together in today’s readings because we watched Peter after the Resurrection and Pentecost preach to the Jews about the Man they crucified in the Acts of the Apostles.  Jesus is telling them this today in their presence while He is still alive.   Are you rejecting Jesus?  He calls you to follow Him everyday!  You are a baptized Christian called to be a saint?  Are you resisting?   Are listening to the Word each day and trying to talk to Jesus in prayer daily.  When confronted by Jesus you either accept or reject His call everyday.  He is speaking to all of us today!  I hope you accept and do not reject!
