Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

I am the LORD, there is no other;
I form the light, and create the darkness,
I make well-being and create woe;
I, the LORD, do all these things.
Let justice descend, O heavens, like dew from above,
like gentle rain let the skies drop it down.
Let the earth open and salvation bud forth;
let justice also spring up!
I, the LORD, have created this.

For thus says the LORD,
The creator of the heavens,
who is God,
The designer and maker of the earth
who established it,
Not creating it to be a waste,
but designing it be lived in:
I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Who announced this from the beginning
and foretold it from of old?
Was it not I, the LORD,
besides whom there is no other God?
There is no just and saving God but me.

Turn to me and be safe,
all you ends of the earth,
for I am God; there is no other!
By myself I swear,
uttering my just decree
and my unalterable word:
To me every knee shall bend;
by me every tongue shall swear,
Saying, “Only in the LORD
are just deeds and power.
Before him in shame shall come
all who vent their anger against him.
In the LORD shall be the vindication and the glory
of all the descendants of Israel.”  IS 45:6-8, 18, 21-25

Who do you worship?  What do you worship?  The word worship in its most general sense is homage paid to a person or a thing. In this sense we may speak of hero-worship, worship of the emperor, of demons, of the angels, even of relics, and especially of the Cross. This article will deal with Christian worship according to the following definition: homage paid to God, to Jesus Christ, to His saints, to the beings or even to the objects which have a special relation to God.
There are several degrees of this worship:

  • if it is addressed directly to God, it is superior, absolute, supreme worship, or worship of adoration, or, according to the consecrated theological term, a worship of latria. This sovereign worship is due to Godalone; addressed to a creature it would become idolatry.  Catholic Encyclopedia

Do you worship someTHING or someONE?  The prophet Isaiah proclaims worship of God not things.  We are filled with so much noise and so many things around us.  I get distracted, but it is because I allow myself to.  God gives us everything we need to be holy.  We must make a decision to believe, a decision to worship God and not things.  Why?  Quite simply He deserves it.  He is complete in Himself.  We cannot add anything to Him.  He gave us life out of love and sent His Son to die for us out of love.  He deserves our homage everyday, all day, in all that we do.  We do not exist without Him.  I am thankful for this great joy and peace.  I need a Savior and I have one.  I worship God because He made me and all of the great blessings around me.

Today’s challenge; Put down the things in your life and start worshipping God.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the most perfect way to worship God.  Why?  He gave it to us to worship Him at the Last Supper.  He cannot give us more than Himself in the Eucharist at the Holy Sacrifice on the Altar where we are all called to the foot of the Cross in this great mystery.

Be a servant, become a saint!
