Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places.
If there were not,
would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back again and take you to myself,
so that where I am you also may be.
Where I am going you know the way.”
Thomas said to him,
“Master, we do not know where you are going;
how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.” JN 14:1-6

Jesus comforts us today, “Do not let your hearts be troubled”, then tells us He will come back again and take us to Him, “I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am going you know the way”. Thomas then asks the golden question, “how can we know the way”? Jesus responds that He is the way to salvation, He is truth, and He is life itself. We know it will be a new life as we enter the dark tomb with Jesus in our Baptism and receive new life through the resurrection with water and the Spirit. Jesus gives His Apostles these words at the Last Supper, the night He begins his passion. It is the night before He dies, it is time to reveal and prepare the Apostles for His mission and purpose. They still do not fully understand, but the Holy Spirit will come upon them and help them know the Truth.
Jesus is the Way, do you know Him? He leads us to everlasting joy that fulfills our hearts and leaves us desiring nothing else. Jesus is the Truth. There can only be one Truth, one way to salvation from one God, Jesus has revealed the Truth to us so we may not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is the life. He gives us new life because we inherited Original Sin and a warped view of God. When we are baptized we are given new life in the family of God and we are saved. Last, we have been given this great gift, we must share it.

Today’s challenge: It’s Friday, fast to remind you that Jesus is the way, Truth, and life and died for you. Make yourself poor in some area of your life. Make yourself uncomfortable by putting rocks in your shoes. Visit Jesus at Church or in the Adoration chapel and allow Him to speak to you and love you. He is present with the disciples at the Last Supper, but He is also present in the Tabernacle and Monstrance, sit with Him and listen.
