Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus went down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee.
He taught them on the sabbath,
and they were astonished at his teaching
because he spoke with authority.
In the synagogue there was a man with the spirit of an unclean demon,
and he cried out in a loud voice,
“What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”
Jesus rebuked him and said, “Be quiet! Come out of him!”
Then the demon threw the man down in front of them
and came out of him without doing him any harm.
They were all amazed and said to one another,
“What is there about his word?
For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”
And news of him spread everywhere in the surrounding region.” LK 4:31-37

As Jesus claims to be the Messiah in the Temple of His hometown earlier in Luke’s Gospel, today demons are calling Him “the Holy One of God”.  He speaks with authority and casts out demons.  Either Jesus is who He says He is or He’s a bad man. He is not a myth. There are many witnesses who saw and lived with him. Every historian, Catholic or not states that it is fact that Jesus did live in Nazareth and preached in Capernaum.

If demons know who Jesus is, why don’t we? Why do we doubt our faith or Jesus?  If He is who He says He is, His words and deeds bring us salvation.  He is our Savior, “the Holy One of God”.  His Word has great power, living, effective, and timeless.  He speaks with authority different than all other religious leaders because He is God.  May today be the day you start loving Him more fully, being open to Him with a more resolute heart, and allowing yourself to be saved!  God has done everything for us to gain salvation, now our salvation depends on how we respond and cooperate with God’s will!

Today’s challenge: Take time to write and reflect on Jesus’s Word in a quiet Church, the Adoration chapel, or the quiet of the early morning in your home.  It is soul-changing!

Be a servant, become a saint!
