Yesterday at Mass we hear Jesus say the parable of the talents. God praised the servant who used his talents to the best of his ability and glorified God with his talents. God cast out the lazy servant who buried his talents. One step in becoming a saint is knowing yourself. What are your talents or gifts God gave you and what are you doing with them to glorify God? What are your limits, temptations, and sin that causes you to fall? What are you doing to fix it?

Today, we continue to learn how to pray; this time from the blind man on the road to Jericho. “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me a sinner!” This is known as the Jesus prayer. If you see me at Church striking my chest during silent prayer, I am saying this prayer. I try to say it every morning after the Our Father. We are called to pray always, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me a sinner!”
