Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
When Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them:
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master
nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.
If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.
I am not speaking of all of you.
I know those whom I have chosen.
But so that the Scripture might be fulfilled,
The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.
From now on I am telling you before it happens,
so that when it happens you may believe that I AM.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send
receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” JN 13:16-20
Jesus the God Man is washing His Apostles’ feet. The Creator of all that is who created out of nothing. The One who is everywhere all of the time. The One who thinks about you constantly, loves you infinitely and delights in you. He is washing His Apostles’ feet and then says, “no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him”. God the Son loves the Father so much, He washes the Apostles feet, institutes the Eucharist to stay hidden behind bread and wine for us until He returns, then goes through an unbearable Passion, and dies for us all in doing the Father’s will so we could be back with the Father in heaven. ”If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.”
Do we understand that God created us and loves us more than we love ourselves? Do we understand what true love is? It is not of this world it comes from above. Have we lost the Passion of Christ in Lent? Have we already forgotten what He did for us? Have we made a fast or sacrifice since Lent? We must be reminded of God’s great love for us. Jesus emptied Himself and became a slave for the Father and all humanity to reconcile us back to the Father. We must empty ourselves, put on Christ, and go out into the world and love by serving others and not being selfish.
Amazing, Jesus who is God washes the Apostles’ feet! Master’s rarely even asked their slaves to do this. God loves us so much and brings His grace and mercy to the greatest sinners through His Son. In simpler terms, Jesus died so we could inherit the Kingdom, but here on earth He simply wants to be best friends with us and eat with us at table, listen and talk to us in prayer, and give us joy and peace now! Let Him come to you and go to Him in every moment of everyday.
Today’s challenge: Wash someone’s feet who is the least among you. Who is the outcast in your class? Who is different than everyone else? Who is going through the most in their family? Go wash their feet, a.k.a., comfort them, talk to them, invite them to something.

No Bible no breakfast, No Bible no bed. -Fr. Larry Richards
Get caught reading the Bible! Get caught kneeling by your bed! Get caught saying a rosary! You might just inspire someone and change their life forever!
What I got out from this gospel is that Jesus is always there for us and always will be. Jesus will always love us even if we do wrong and we should return the favor. We should also love him and serve him.
In todays gospel God is telling me that Jesus is saying no one is greater than anyone else. We are all equal in His eyes. He treats a murderer the same as He treats a priest. I doesn’t sound like He should but He does. He loves everyone the same.
This shows us that Jesus is our friend not our ruler.
This tells me that God is here for us he created us and is someone we can trust he is there for us so we can become like him he created us in his image and likeness.
“If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.” The Catholic faith is not a faith of just thought, but a faith of action, doing. You can pray every day and go to mass, but unless you start helping those around you, nothing is going to happen.
Jesus wasn’t prideful and He washed the feet of His disciples who aren’t even worthy to wash His feet. This just explains Jesus so well because He is so humble and not prideful and I think we have to take after Him because pride is the worst sin in my opinion because everything good we have cane from God.
Jesus doesn’t speak out to people directly He says things to all of us for we shall learn from each other and their mistakes. We need to be more humble then what we do for others.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us that “no slave is greater than his master, nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.” We need to humble ourselves as Jesus did. Even though Jesus is the literal Son of God, He humbles himself to wash the feet of the disciples. Help me to be more meek and humble.
we must empty yourself of sin by going to confession so we can make it to heaven.
Jesus is trying t say that everyone is equal. Our neighbor is no better than us and we are no better than our neighbor. We are all made in God’s image and likeness. God loves each of us so much that we look copletely different tha anyone who ever has or will live.
The scripture says, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.” This tells me that If the person that told you to do the thing is on the wrong, they are leading you to the wrong. But with God he is always trying to lead you to the right. So if you follow God you will be in the right.
Jesus threw away his pride. He was born in a manger and not in a palace, he washed his apostles feet. Jesus takes sacrifices so that others may be happy. We should follow his example and put others needs before our own, and not be selfish.
Jesus created us for a reason. We are called to follow Go d and spread His word by how we act and speak. We should go to SUnday Mass every Sunday and pray it like you mean it.
Is a child greater than their mother, or the persecutor greater than the killer who they slay? Even if they are, no one shall be greater than the Lord who sends His messengers to the Earth, who has made all things. Blessed is he who walks the way of the Lord day and night. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another, yet even greater is this when it is laid down for one’s enemy.
While Jesus is washing the feet of his Apostles, he says ”From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM”. He says this because he knows he is about to die and he is telling them before its to late.
The scripture today is telling me that it was hard for the Apostles during the passion. They had to go through the whole ordeal trying to believe that Jesus was the Messiah, that He had a plan, and that He would have victory in the end. They all stopped believing that Jesus would come again and they though He had just died and would never come back. We need to believe in Jesus no matter what happens.
Jesus teaches us today about humbleness. “No slave is greater than his master”. Really, no one is greater than anyone, no human is greater than any other human on earth, and we subject to the one who is greater than us: God.
This scripture is saying that God can heal, ask and we shall receive. He is the light and savior. He will always love us no matter how many mistakes we make. Talking and praying to him will grow our relationship with him.
This gospel is about how God will always be there and we should always trust in Him because he loves us.
This gospel is about how God will always be there and we should always trust in Him because he loves us. Praying and trusting in him will help our relationship grow with him.
God will always be with us even if we stray from Him. When we don’t know what to do, ask Him. We should always trust Him because God knows best.
No one is greater than God. We should believe this and follow him; we should follow the first commandment.
Jesus is a very humble man, but He doesn’t forget to glorify and talk about His Father. “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” He is telling us that He and God are one, all while washing his disciples feet. I think that is very honorary.
Jesus is saying that all people no matter how much power they have are all equal in God’s eyes. he doesn’t see money or power he only sees our sins and our true selves.
It says that Jesus is here to treat us like His friend. He will not look down on us and treat us like everyone else, it doesn’t matter how many sin you have He will still love you like everyone else.
In the Gospel Jesus says that we need to trust in him. We need to believe that God will help us in our everyday life and that He’ll help us through anything. We don’t just receive a piece of bread, it’s us receiving God.
Jesus wants us to believe that He is I Am. Jesus also tells us to serve. He says, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master…” If we receive Jesus in the Eucharist, we also receive God. God wants us to be united with Him.
IN todays scripture Jesus tells us “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master” And I think this is hard for us to understand because we seem to think of God like an authority figure that has enormous power over us. Which he does in a way but he is also our friend.
What reached out to me was when Jesus said, ” I AM.” What this means to me is that Jesus has given us so many signs to believe that he is God. Most of us already know that and believe in Him, but some of us -including me- don’t fully act like it.
This Scripture is saying that he chose the Apostles for a reason that they were chosen and that like you fulfill the scripture so that it could happen and he also says ¨whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” it saying that if you do this God is like saving a place for you in heaven etc.
Jesus is saying that when we do good deeds for people than we will be rewarded and we will get closer to Jesus and it will help us.
Jesus was a humble man who was very kind. He washed peoples feet out of the kindness in his heart.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us about how He is going to be going to His Father. ”From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM”. He says this meaning before it happens, when He dies, we need to repent and pray to God.
Jesus is anything but prideful. He washes the apostle’s feet, He gave us everything, his life his death, and his resurection. His love is unbeleivable to us. We should realize that Jesus lives in us he was human and he understands what it feels like to be us.
Today Jesus claims to be the Father. If what Jesus is saying is true then we receive the Eucharist we receive the Father. It is still weird to think that I am receiving God my creator when I receive a little piece of bread. But that little piece of bread holds the weight of the world.
Jesus says that if you understand this that is good but if you don’t you need my help and the father’s help to get to heaven.
When Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. this is amazing we are not servants to god we have a free will and he will take care of us if we stray.
If you believe in God and do what He has asked of us you will have eternal life. Jesus is the only God you have to trust in HIm.
I think this is showing us how humble and kind Jesus is. Even though he is God and creator of all things he still treats himself like he is a servant, even though we are his servants.
what the scripture is telling me is that when we beleive in the eucharist we are really beliveing in God and that we should take the eucharist with no hesitation.
All people are equal, because of the love God has for them. God loves us so much and loves us equally. No human is less than the other. If God loved different people with different amounts of love, we would not be equal. God loves us so much and that is what makes us all equal.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.” This piece of Scripture really stuck with me. I think Jesus is trying to say that we are all equal. Since we are all equal, we cannot judge others for their sins and flaws, nor can we think that we are better than everyone else just because we go to confession often. Treat others how you want to be treated.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me,” I feel like this is saying that when we receive the flesh of Jesus threw bread we are actually receiving Him. We are receiving Him, but some do not believe. If we do not believe then we should not recieve. Out of respect for God we should not receive if we do not believe.
What stood out to me was, “Whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” It stood out to me because God sent His only son to save our sins. Jesus is the living Eucharist. He is always gonna be there in times that you don’t understand. You just need to have faith and love in Him and one day you will make it to the place we always dream of: Heaven!
I think that this scripture is saying that we should follow Jesus’ ways and do as he asks us. We can apply this in our families too by obeying our parents.
Jesus is talking about how he is the Only God. He is the holy one.He says “But so that the Scripture might be fulfilled,The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.From now on I am telling you before it happens,so that when it happens you may believe that I AM.”
Jesus wants the best for us. That’s why he died for our sins. That’s why he gave his life for us.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that He is the one and only God. No matter how much you want to be like him, or be powerful, you will never be God. We also need to trust God, He is our friend.
Jesus is telling us that He wants to have a personal relationship with us. Jesus is humble not prideful. He helps his friends and Apostles in the Gospel. He is humble and we should be humble too. We need to talk to Jesus like he is our friend.
When Jesus washes the feet of His disciples, I can’t but help wonder what it would have felt like to be one of those disciples. But as I reflect, I realize, if I am a disciple, then Jesus washes my feet too. Every time I go to Confession, He cleanses me. He’s always there, and always with me as my Lord.
Jesus Loves you so much, sometimes it will be hard and the devil will try to tempt you. there is a way you can stop that from happening though. the more you follow Christ and the more we pray to him we will get closer. Jesus understands us. and he knows what you are going though.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us that “no slave is greater than his master, nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.” We need to humble ourselves as Jesus did. Even though Jesus is the literal Son of God, He humbles himself to wash the feet of the disciples.
God is here for us even when we are going through the hardest parts of our life. When we go through hard things sometimes we tend to think that God has left us because why would He put us through these types of things. But He does it because getting to Heaven isn’t just a walk in the park.
“No slave is greater than his master.” Nobody is better than others, we are created the same in God’s eyes, and that needs to be in everyone’s eyes, not just Gods. That we are all the same created equal and precious, and we all have a purpose to fulfill, to get to Heaven.
This Gospel is telling us that God will always be there for us even when we think He isn’t there. Spending time with Him while He is present will get our relationship with him better and we will get to know him better.
Today, Jesus is telling us how things work. How nobody is greater than one another, no slave is greater than it’s master, no messenger greater than the one who sent him, that’s how the kingdom of heaven is. Jesus is not saying that he is greater than God, he is saying tht he is one with the father and the father is one within him.
The Gospel is saying if we ask then we shall receive. If you want God to talk to you then you need to talk to him first. God is always with us and will do anything for us, he loves us so much.
Everyone is on equal grounds. No one’s worth is defined by their race, religion, or political opinion. Everyone is created in God’s image and likeness; we all have human dignity. No one is greater than the other. The slave is no greater than his master, nor the master over his slave. That is human’s doing. This is not what God wants. Treat everyone as your equal with love as God loves everyone as equals.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.” In today’s gospel Jesus is telling us to do his will, we are not greater than God, though our pride might tell us otherwise, we cannot, cannot be greater than the one who created us, because we are completely dependent on him to exist, we can not stand on our own as God does. This is the moment that God looks at the camera of the bible and says something directly to us. “blessed are you if you do it.”
“No slave is greater than his master” that shows that we will keep what our masters had taught us alive and that will go through the rest of the generations. We are Jesus’s chosen people. We live to love and spread the Word of God. Jesus was washing his disciples feet, this shows that Jesus is human and divine.
In today’s Gospel, I believe that Jesus is telling me to do what you think is right and if you have to give up the time you have just to make that act of kindness, then do it. Jesus washed the feet of the apostles. He didn’t have to do it, but because of His love He did it anyway. He gave up His time to do an act of kindness, He wants us to do the same.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. The Lord is so loving and gracious, His words are true poetry. We need to give our whole selves to the Lord, He is forever the answer.
This is telling me Jesus does not treat us different from any other person. We should also treat each other as equals. Jesus does not treat a sinner and a holy person different.
Today the Gospel says “If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.” The way to get to Heaven is to do what God tells you to. That is what Jesus is telling us today when He says “blessed are you if you do it.”
“From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM.” How I see this line is that we have a Catholic education to form us for later in life when we are open to a bigger world. We have to use that, so that we will know what is right and “believe that I AM.” This line from the gospel today speaks to me the most, so that as I go further, I can remember what I was taught and use it rightly.
Jesus tells us that he will always be there for us no matter what. He said that he will always stand by our side in hard times and in the good times. He stands by us so he can guide us to eternal life in Heaven.
In todays scripture Jesus tells us “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master” And I think this is hard for us to understand because we seem to think of God like a master who has enormous power over us. Which he does but in a way but he is also our friend.
Today’s scripture is Jesus washing the apostles feet. Why? He did it because he loves the Father. He also loves His disciples. Jesus showed His kind and caring nature through this act. He said, “no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.” That was His statement to this action.
Jesus has repeated multiple times,”Whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” This is important for us because we need to be close to our heavenly father who is our creator that gives us purpose. One way to grow closer to the father is to receive Jesus. We can do this by reading the bible and being open to Him in silence.
i think that this is telling me that whoever believes and understands God, and they choose to obey they will live an eternal life with Him in Heaven. If you understand what Jesus did for us and you know the right thing to do and you don’t obey, you won’t have eternal life with God in Heaven.
What this scripture reflection is saying to me is that we all need to try to obey whatevery Jesus tells us to do. It is because of Jesus that we can even get to heaven, so we should try to get to heaven.
We have to humble ourselves before God. Even Jesus washed his disciples’s feet which is an act of humbling himself. We also have to cleanse our souls just as Jesus cleansed the feet of his disciples.
In today’s Scripture passage God is telling me that Jesus is saying no one is greater than anyone else. We are all equal in His eyes. He treats a murderer the same as He treats a priest. I doesn’t sound like He should but He does. He loves everyone the same.
Jesus died for us and we need to obey God so we can live in eternal life.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. This quote from the scripture today is telling me that nobody is greater then nobody. No matter what the title they have in there job everyone is created equal.
The gospel is telling me that God is always there and is always listening to us. And will always be there for us when we need him the most.
I think that this Gospel is saying that we need to believe and when we believe then we can get closer to God and make it to Heaven. If we don’t believe then we can;t make it to Heaven and that is what He wants for us, so we should always strive for what He wants for us.
What I think this means is that whoever is catholic and worships God is that most blessed on the earth. I think this because you could have been any other believer but you decided to worship him in the right way and what you believe is true and whats not.
This scripture is basically saying that if you ask God for something and you believe in him you will receive.
Today’s Scripture passage is saying that no matter what God will always be there for us. He will always love and take care of us. Though He’s not physically with, He’s with us spiritually and in our hearts. When we truly believe in Christ’s presence, He will help guide us down the right path and lead us to eternal life with Him in Heaven.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master.” We are all equal. I don’t care what race you are or what sex you are we are all equal. We are all sinners and we all fight our own battles of sin. But God says he is the bread of life. He came down and first humbled himself to human form yet he was still divine. Then he came down and became bread. Such a common thing in this world but such an extravagant gift. He came down to something so small as an example. Now he doesn’t want us to become bread but he wants us to humble ourselves. So humble yourselves and let him fight your battles. He can do it and we can’t so let him fight and give him your sin.
In this reading Jesus tells us how no slave is greater than his master. This relates to us because Jesus is our master and we are technically his “slaves”. Although this is a good analogy to represent Jesus being more important to us, it is not completely truthful because we are not His slaves. We are more like volunteers for his company. Jesus never forces us to love him or do what he wants, he just strongly urges you and the way that we will hear his strong urge, is to go mass on Sundays, read the scripture, and pray the rosary.
In todays Scripture God us tellings to obey and we will see enternal life in Heaven with him in Heaven. To see what he did for us and to be gratefull for everthing he was done
In today’s Scripture Jesus is talking about how if we receive God, then we also receive Him. Although sometime we only receive one or the other. However, it is very important that we choose to receive both because they are one in the same in the Holy Spirit.
Humble I come, astounded You know my name My song and my strength, Jesus my hiding place O my soul will sing Christ alive in me
This is my heart’s cry To be a reflection of You I want to be holy, like You are holy Lord make me more like You of days, You are enthroned in praise Matchless in strength perfect in all Your ways my soul will sing This is my heart’s cry To be a reflection of You
I want to be holy, like You are holy Lord make me more like You O this is my heart’s cry To be a reflection of You I want to be holy, like You are holy Lord make me more like You O Lord make me more like You For all my days, my soul sings holy More than a song, my life sings holy Holy, holy, You are holy For all my days, my soul sings holy than a song, my life sings holy Holy, holy, You are holy O this is my heart’s cry To be a reflection of You I want to be holy, like You are holy make me more like You Lord make me more like You O Lord make me more like You I want to be more like You I want to be, more like You More like You, more like You
This scripture reflection is talking about how we need to know that Jesus is our friend he will always be there for us and he created us for a reason.
To me this means that God is telling us that we need to focus more on him than anything else. We are getting to focused on things like our phones and need to start paying attention to God.
To me this Scripture is saying that we need to believe and accept the fact that God is real, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He wants us to come to Him. He wants to reveal Himself to us, but we aren’t accepting it. We can’t act like the victim all the time and complain that God isn’t revealing Himself to us, because He wants to, and He’s trying. We have got to accept Him and open our hearts to Him and welcome Him into our lives because He gave us life and He is Life.
This says that Jesus is our friend and not out ruler
I think the scripture means to forgive everyone who has done you wrong. Everyone deserves mercy.
What is always so shocking about this scripture is the Jesus lowered Himself down and washed His disciples feet, all of the disciples had the same thought that probably anyone else would, “Why are you washing our feet, when we should be washing yours.” Jesus just casually says that He should be the one washing the feet.
I think that this passage is saying that we eat Jesus’s body and drink His blood, and yet we still do not believe? How stupipd is that!? That we know what we are eating and drinking, and yet we still refuse to believe?
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that we receive him and we have him inside us in our soul and he loves us for that and will always love us.
I think the scripture is saying that we are no greater than the greatest and no less than the least, we are all brothers and sisters of Jesus and sons and daughters of God. We must be grateful for all we have/receive.
