“Cast away from you all the crimes you have committed, says The Lord, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new Spirit.” Ez 18:31
Today, as we enter Passion Sunday, take some time to, “cast away your sins” and take some time mentally and physically to figure out what is leading you to sin. Take a break or fast from electronics if it is leading you to sin. Make 30 minutes of every night a study time and if you have no homework read a book or study ahead, this prevents cheating. If you get stressed out easily or angry easily, exercise. Go for a walk or jog.
Our intelligence is a Spiritual gift from God. It helps us to problem solve, think, and make educated decisions. This is not only for school or work some day, but especially everyday for our Spiritual life.
Go to confession and allow God to take away your sins, then “put on a new heart and a new spirit” by disciplining yourself against whatever is leading you to sin.
