Prayer Prompt before reading JN 12:44-50 Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“I CAME INTO THE WORLD AS LIGHT, SO THAT EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN ME MIGHT NOT REMAIN IN DARKNESS.” JN 12:44-50

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Jesus did not come to condemn, but the Father has put Him in a role to judge.  What’s the key factor?  God loves us, He sent Jesus to “save the world”, not condemn us.  We condemn ourselves.  How?  ”Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day”.

What is just judgment by God? It is not like our parents being mad at us because we did something bad and we get grounded or some screens taken away. God is Truth itself, reality. The Truth is what judges as it is the Light that reveals good and evil for what they truly are. We will see our true selves for the first time in the presence of Love. What matters most on judgment day is how open you were to what God made you for and how much love you put into each action each day.

First, we must come to know the Word inside and out meaning a personal relationship with Christ.  A daily habit of prayer. Then, we must take it to heart and live it.  If we strive to live it, we will have many trials for love requires great sacrifices.  We will be battle tested, but we will come to know the greatest love, the true love of the Father through His Son.

Today’s challenge: Recognize the mercy and love of God in your life.  How many times He has forgiven you, sacrificed under bread and wine, loved you through a friend or family member, coworker, daughter, son, brother, or sister.  He has blessed you every day with every necessity of food, shelter, clean air and water, clothing (we are some of the few on this planet that can say that).  Allow God to love you.

To believe in Jesus is to believe in the Father. To see Jesus is to see the Father. This is because Jesus is one with his dad and the holy spirit in the trinity. He came to redeem us, not to condemn us.
