“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” MT 25:31-46
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Prayer Prompt before reading MT 25:31-46: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and God the Son are so that I may know who I am.
Today, Jesus teaches us that when we do something for the “least brothers of mine, you did it for me.” Who are the least brothers? I was surprised when I read the side note that this is up for much debate among Scripture Scholars. Many believed it to be the suffering of Christian missionaries.
This Scripture is pointed towards the Gentiles and Jews. What can we take away from it? Jesus wants us to love through our actions, St. Francis says “when needed use words.” It is difficult to say that one act of love is greater than another, but when we give from our heart to the unlovable or when we do something simple for those in our homes, it is love.
Whether we do what St. Francis Xavier, patron of missions did, or St. Francis of Assisi who literally begged with the poor while taking care of them, or St. Therese of Liseux, who did little acts of love in a convent, it was the intention of their hearts to imitate Christ. We group and label people as the least among us, in God’s eyes we have equal dignity and we are all sinners who need His mercy.
Are there different levels of need around us? Yes, and through reason we know it takes a greater effort and mercy to reach those on the fringes of society who may be getting what we think they deserve. If no one is left to give them hope, they are hopeless. Jesus is the hope of the hopeless and asks us to give of ourselves in an even greater way.
As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it. Christ is the King of the Universe, the most powerful, and what makes Him so powerful is sacrificial love. Amazing! Humble! Undeserving! Oh how I need this and yearn to give like Him.
Today’s challenge: Make yourself uncomfortable by sharing the Good News with someone or giving to those on the fringes of society. Don’t forget those in need right next to you! Love the unlovable.
Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; We will live again!)
I think that God is trying to tell us that no matter what we do he will provide for us no matter what.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him” I believe that when Jesus comes to save us that he will not only take the ones who have loved him,but also the sinners, the ones who have lost faith. He will take the time to bring all of us to heaven.
Jesus says something today that shows just how much He loves each and every one of us. Jesus says that anytime you do anything, to anyone, especially those deemed less important than others, you do it to Him. Jesus wants what is best for all of us, and he won’t prefer anyone over any others, just because they are deemed less by earthly standards. He wants us to follow in His example so that we may help all those who need it.
“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” MT 25:31-46
In this Gospel, I believe that when Jesus is telling the people that they gave him drink, food, clothing, etc, they were doing works of good which will help with the procession into the Kingdom of God
In today’s Gospel we get a look at what judgment will be like when we die and it shows that it may not be Jesus that is starving or sick but its someone who Jesus loves so they should be cared for and treated as if they were Jesus.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus says “whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Whenever we do a kind act for someone we are doing a kind act for God and whenever we do something bad to someone we are doing something bad to God. We are all God’s creation and He loves all of us and we should be loving and caring to those around us.
Something that I got out of this was that we should treat everyone as if they are Jesus. It might be a little hard to imagine for some people, but everybody has a little Jesus inside of them, and since they do we should treat them like it. Many people judge as soon as they see someone, but we should not do that. I think that we all need to be nice to each other, and be chill and nice to everyone, even if it is a hard thing to do.
Todays gospel is about how we need to take care of others in order to make it into heaven we cant just worry about ourselves and not others we need to take care of other people in order to achieve eternal life
“As sinners we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it.” This stands out to me because it just shows that God gave His ONLY son to save us, and we the people that He saved are the ones doing the wrong and sinning. Jesus never did wrong and yet He was the one up on that cross. We need to give back to Him.
In today’s gospel the lord speaks of we can take ourselves to heaven by caring for others for he is those people for he is the lonely he is the I’ll he is the naked he is everyone and everything for we help those who cant help themselves we care for those who we cant we feed those who cant that’s how we can make to heaven by doing what the lords needs even if its a inconvenience.
Jesus said today that whatever you did for the least brothers of mine you do to me. To me this is saying whatever we do on earth or how we live our life on earth depends on our life after death. If we live our life not caring about anything and being rebellious towards God then what happened in the scripture will happen to us. We all sin like that sometimes which is why God gave us confession. We need to live our lives like the sheep on the right side of God.
st Francis in this scripture is said to have been begging with the poor while also taking care of them could you imagine how hard that would be the sacrifices he even left his own dad gave everything away and even when he has nothing he is still there trying to do all he can for the helpless people on the streets.Amen
Today the Gospel talks about helping Jesus, clothing him, feeding him, giving him drinks. Jesus says he is thankful for these things but the sheep say when did we do that Lord? The Lord tells them that whatever they do to my sons and daughters you do to me. When you care for someone you care for God. You help them, and when you judge someone you are doing it to God. God is in everyone so how you act to them is how you should act to God.
I feel like this is a very popular scripture message because it is always talked about. The scripture today talks about when Jesus is saying to his disciples that when God comes down he will judge those of the living and the dead. He says that those of you that are on my left will go to eternal damnation and those of you on my right will live in eternal heaven with me. I don’t think God says this to scare us but I think he says this to try and warn us. He wants us to live in heaven with him for eternity. He wants us to be happy, but sometimes we don’t listen and we would rather do what we want to do. Then he says that whatever you do to the least of me you do to the most of me. Then they say that they never didn’t give food or water or welcome or care. Then that is when God says whatever you do to the least of me you do to the most of me. They then realize that they need to care for everyone and not just the high respected people.
“As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it.” I like this line because it shows Jesus’s love for us. We deserved to be punished and Jesus who did nothing wrong got punished instead, to save us. We can do the same to others, we can forgive even those who did unforgivible things. Or just help out those who need it. I also feel like the Gospel is like the choice between going to Heaven or Hell. Those who life a good life to Jesus go to Heaven, those who badly sinned and did not help Jesus went to Hell.
“It is difficult to say that one act of love is greater than another, but when we give from our heart to the unlovable or when we do something simple for those in our homes, it is love.” Today God is telling me that people have different ways of showing love for each other. You may think at times that you show more love than others, which may be true at some time, but some people’s ways of showing loving is just simply talking to you while for others its giving you a gift, or even giving hugs. For people it comes from the heart and thats all that matters when you show love. You can express goodness in many ways and sometimes love might even break you down, but God helps you bring yourself back up. All we need is His love to get through everything.
The lord is trying to say that God will come down in glorious because he is the king. He holds the universe in the palm of his hand. But what Jesus wanted us to know is that whatever we do to our brothers we do unto him. Our actions describe who we are and where we go. You can be submerged in holiness, but you can be a sinner It doesn’t matter if you’re still good, you are a sinner no matter what. Be careful of what you do to your neighbors, it is not pleasing to see them get hurt or treated harshly. All of the acts are done unto God. God felt the pain that Jesus went through, he went through insults, pain, suffering. But it also says in scripture that “Blessed are you, who are treated harshly, and are insulted. Rejoice and be glad that your reward will be great in Heaven.” God wants you to stay who you are and never attack when they attack as Jesus says in scripture. Be kind to others, and when you are treated harshly you will be saved by God.
We are all sinners and deserve to get punished for it. Jesus helped us by taking his place on the cross to save us from our own sin. Sometimes we take this for granted but we need to know that Jesus loves us and will never stop loving us. To grow with Jesus we can pray everyday with him.
In today’s Gospel these words stuck out to me. “For I was hungry and you gave me food,I was thirsty and you gave me drink,a stranger and you welcomed me,naked and you clothed me,ill and you cared for me,in prison and you visited me.” These words are showing that God will always love us no matter what we do unless we refuse to be forgiven, that is the one unforgivable sin.
“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” MT 25:31-46.In today’s Gospel is the judgement of the nations.I think that God warns us that when he comes he will judge us on the way we lived our lives
“Jesus wants us to love through our actions.” This stood out to me because it is the same way that he helped many people who were suffering
This Scripture is calling me to be like Saint Francis. Even when Im on my knees, I must help those on their hands. Even when I’m on my hands, I must help those who are in a worse condition. As sinners, we cannot accept what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is a great example we should imitate and follow.
something that stuck with me when i read thi sis that “what you do to your least brother you do unto me” this stuck with me becasuse we are supposdedt o feed the homless, clothe the homeless, give them shelter, and give them love but yet we do not because we are either too lazy, tired, or just don twont to do it Jesus today teaches us we should go out and help our least brothers who dont have much of anything
I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ This stuck out to me because if you go and help someone that is in need of help you are not only helping them but helping yourself, and God. If we do not help God we cannot get into heaven so we need to always help our nieghbors.
It was telling me to ask, ¨ Who is God the Father and who God the Son are so that I may know who I am¨.
“As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place.” Jesus has done so much for us we can’t even repay Him. We can help Him by helping the people around us.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is saying that everyone has God in them because He said “whatever you do for the least of me, you did not do for me.” This is saying that we should be kind to everyone because we would be kind to God. God loves everyone, so why should we do any less?
In today’s Scripture reflection,it talks about as sinners we can’t get what we deserve because Christ already took our place first. One act of love is much greater than another,But God’s love is powerful and much greater than anything. In God’s eyes we have equal dignity and we are all sinners who need His mercy.
“least brothers of mine, you did it for me.”
I think God is trying to say that if you did it for the poor or suffering you are doing it to Him. Like if you are ignoring them and being rude to them, you are ignoring God and are being rude to Him. But if you are giving them your food and money, you are giving God your food and money. If you only give money to the best and the most popular or rich, you are doing nothing to God. If you give money to the poor or homeless, you are giving kindness to God.
Today Jesus is telling us that we must care for everyone not just in the grand scheme of things but also everyone in particular. If we see a need we must meet that need for another. If we show them mercy, we will be shown mercy by the Father who loves us. Also remember, whatever you do to the least of people you do to God. If we help everyone we will surely have our reward.
Today, Jesus teaches us that when we do something for the “least brothers of mine, you did it for me.” I think this is saying that If you help the poor or the needy or the hurting you are also helping God but if you hurt the poor or needy you are also hurting God. I think this shows because some of the most holy saints are the saints who would go into other countries or even their own and just spread love and help everyone they saw which is what we need to start doing even if we only start in small steps like giving a homeless person a dollar or two because that’s what Jesus wants us to do.
¨It is difficult to say that one act of love is greater than another¨. This line sticks out to me because I think what this means is that we shouldnt compare our way of prayer to others and think your better or worse then them. Everybody has a different way of prayer and all of them are heard by God. Its like working out because when you work out your legs and somebody else is working out there arms there all generaly making you stronger in the body kinda like how when you pray differently it still grows your bond with God.
” as sinners we cannot get what we deserve” this stuck out to me because you don’t always get what we deserve. But Jesus always loves us so we deserve his love.
Today Jesus taught me that we should vale every person. He says we are with God if we care for the sick and in prison. Now In today’s world we cannot go into a prison or hospital and just start helping or caring for the people. But we can pray. We have to pray for everyone from the rich or the rich to the poorest or the poor. Because every person is somebody. We have to make people feel welcomed. If we turn from any of these things we will be turning from God. If we saw Jesus on the street naked and hungry we would flood him and nourish him with Great care! So why shall we only do this to our God! We should go out and pray or help in anyway that we can.
“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” What this means to me is that everyone is a child of God and we need to treat them well just how we would treat God. We need to love everyone even the people that don’t like you because they are God’s child.
Jesus wants us to love others
Today’s Gospel talks about how Jesus lets some come to heaven while others go down to hell. If you do not care for others you do not care for God. God is in all of us even yourself. If you don’t help others you don’t help God, if you do help others you do help God. It is like that for everyone, because again God is in us and will always be in us. Always care for others, no matter what
What God is trying to tell me today is that what we do to each other is what we are doing to the Lord. We need to imagine that our best friend is Jesus standing right in front of us, we need to imagine that Jesus is that stranger walking past us. We must not treat people with disrespect but treat kindly and fairly like how we would treat our Lord.
I think God is trying to tell me that everyone deserves to see and feel kindness. We should treat our neighbors with love and kindness because Jesus is in every single one of us. We should help those who are less fortunate, no matter the circumstance. Everyone deserves to feel God’s love and mercy which is greater than any sin.
The message I got from today’s gospel is that we need to treat everyone, no matter who it is, with the same love and respect as we would God. Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did to me.” This means that whenever we treat someone kindly or disrespectfully, we also treat God kindly or disrespectfully.
Jesus is saying that if you help the poor or help one another then you’re kinda helping Jesus. We should treat one another how we would treat Jesus.
What I got from this Scripture reflection is that homeless people are no less Gods children than us. Even within their struggles Jesus loves them. God loves the poorest man just as much as he loves the richest man.
What God was trying to say to me today was that in order to get to heaven its not that easy. You cant just go to mass once and expect to have a eternal life in heaven you have to work for it getting all the sacraments, Sunday mass, and stewardship. these are the greatest ways to earn Gods grace and his grace is the only thing anyone truly needs in life
God is telling us to not forget about him because one day he will come to judge us, so if we didn’t give him drink, give him food, or give him cloth, then us sinners will be punished. God says Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food,I was thirsty and you gave me drink,a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,ill and you cared for me,in prison and you visited me.’ Be the one who visits God and always keep him in your mind.
I think that today in the Gospel God is telling us to be kind to everyone, because when we are kind to others and help them, we are really being kind to Jesus and helping him. We must offer to help others whenever we get the chance so that we can help Jesus.
I think its trying to tell me that even if you don’t know them or their situation you should still be kind and care for other people
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.” This stuck out to me because it shows how good God’s love is. He loves us unconditionally even though we are sinners and turn away from him.
Today in the Gospel, Jesus is telling us that we need to treat others respectfully. Whether you are poor, rich, nice, rude, you treat everyone kindly. Jesus wants us to realize that we are called to become holy. And in order to do that, we need to be nice. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” Jesus calls us to be like Him. We all make mistakes! That is just Human. But, making someone else feel like they are making mistakes is not going to help you out in the long run. Be kind and you might help someone out.
In this gospel God is trying to tell us that we should always treat others with love and respect. ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ this quote shows that God is in everyone, so what we do to our brothers and sisters is what we do to him. ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ this quote shows that when we don’t treat others like how we would treat God, we are treated God badly. The better we treat the people around us, the better we are treating God. If we treat others badly, then we are going against God. This Gospel is showing that we need to always be kind to those around us because God is in them.
“…all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.” Today’s Gospel talks about when Jesus told his disciples what would basically happen at the end of the world. I imagine what I would be thinking if I were in their position. In order to be like His disciples and get to Heaven, we need to learn how to love one another and how to treat others with compassion, hospitality, and kindness. Once we do this we can get to Heaven.
“Be holy, for I, the LORD, your God, am holy.” He is the Lord. No matter what we do or what He does, He is still our beloved king and He will always love us. And That we should always be taking care of other people especially during lent, to say something nice to a person. Be kind to one another. be like Him.
“Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.” This sentence stuck out to me because Jesus is saying that if you neglect and ignore the lowly on earth, you will be with evil in hell. So you need to feed the hungry and give water to the thirsty, welcome strangers and serve them like you would serve Him.
In today’s Gospel we get a look at the people that are sick or I’ll, but its someone who Jesus loves so they should be cared for and treated as if they were Jesus.
We are all sinners and deserve to get punished for it. Jesus helped us by taking his place on the cross to save us from our own sin. Sometimes we take this for granted but we need to know that Jesus loves us and will never stop loving us. I think its trying to tell me that even if you don’t know them or their situation you should still be kind and care for other people. God wants us to be the best we can be.
In the Gospel today Jesus tells us how we need to be nice to everyone even if they aren’t to us. Even if we are rich and they are poor we shouldn’t judge them. He teaches us that we need to treat others how we want to be treated so we can spend eternity with him.
We need to love others. Whether we love others through our actions or thoughts we should love others. Jesus has taught us to love others through both our actions and our thoughts and words. We need to be more like Christ and love our neighbors as we would our friends.
what ever you do unto someone you do unto God we are his creation he loves all of us so we need to understand hurt another person is hurting God’s creation.
“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” What this means is that you hurt Jesus when you are hurting people. God made everyone one of us with his own imagination. We are made to love others and care for them, not hurt them and bring them down. When you hurt someone, you are also hurting God.
“Jesus wants us to love through our actions.” This stood out to me because it is saying that actions speak louder than words and that we should love others even if he dislike them.
what i am understanding from this scripture is no matter what way, shape, or form we may be physically. Our spiritual love for God wont fade away. We may let it try to fade by not doing what we need to, but no matter what God will keep the faith here. We just have to trust in him.
Jesus tells us that what we do to the least of his people we do unto him. I like this gospel cause it shows haw some only do good when Jesus is watching but others do good for all. the good for all people are the ones who get into heaven.
In today’s Gospel Jesus said that we should do good things to others like He did. We should be able to see Jesus in others and act on it. We should care for everyone because everyone is special in God’s eyes. On judgement day this will be the things He asks of you. You will see your life laid out before you. We should always strive to act like Jesus.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right,’Come, you who are blessed by my Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” No matter what we do on Earth, we will be judged by God. He will decide whether we get to go to heaven or hell. We need to be kind and gracious to those around us, because Jesus said “What you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.”
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us how important it is to serve the poor. He told the people who were not kind the the poor “For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.” He told the people who were kind to the poor “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink ,a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ It is important to care for everyone.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus says “whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Implying that if we are nice to others, then we are being nice to God.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,I was thirsty and you gave me drink,a stranger and you welcomed me,naked and you clothed me,ill and you cared for me,in prison and you visited me.” Even though this wasn’t exactly talking about what Jesus did. This is what he would do for us. Jesus loves us so much and when we need help we just need to ask Him. He may not help right away but it’s all part of his plan for us. He loves us so much that he died of us.
“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” Jesus is telling us that God is in everyone. We need to remember that. Everyone has at least a little bit of good in them. Try to be kinder to people, even people who you may not like. Whenever you are talking to someone, remember God is there. Trust in God, pray, and don’t worry.
Jesus is trying to tell me love through my actions. When we give from our heart to the unlovable it is love. The better we treat the people around us, the better we are treating God.
As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it. We don’t deserve God’s love. We should all have to hang on a cross for our sins but God did it for us. I think that it is crazy that Jesus followed and believed that His father was leading him the right way. He also believed. What we need to do is believe and trust God.
In today’s Gospel we get a look at what judgment will be like when we die and it shows that it may not be Jesus that is starving or sick but its someone who Jesus loves so they should be cared for and treated as if they were Jesus.
Today the Gospel is telling me that whatever choices we make on Earth will depict on whether we go to Heaven or Hell. If we serve him and do his will, we will go to Heaven, but for those who don’t follow his orders will spend eternal life in suffering.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus says “whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” This means to me that when we do kind things for others, we will get kind acts and favors in return.
“As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place.” this stuck out to me because everyone is sinners and no one gets what they deserve because of that
Jesus teaches us that when we do something for the “least brothers of mine, you did it for me.” This means that when we do something good or bad to someone we do it to Jesus. This goes along with “Treat your neighbors how you want to be treated.” So be kind to everyone around you.
In today’s Gospel God is telling us we have to treat others with respect and kindness. Even if they are rude, hateful, and disrespectful to you, be kind to them. Jesus was made fun of, and disrespected by many he was Christlike to everyone. We have to love the unlovable. Just like Jesus did, its what God calls us to do.
Today talks about how we should always treat people the way you want to be treated (golden rule). God also treats those who don’t have much with open arms so why should we close ours?
What we do to others is what we do to Jesus. Jesus and God are in every single person. If we are rude or evil towards another, we act that exact way to Jesus. We have to act kindly to others to first act kindly to Jesus and to be acted kindly upon.
Jesus teaches us that when we do something for the “least brothers of mine, you did it for me.” Who are the least brothers? I was surprised when I read the side note that this is up for much debate among Scripture Scholars.Jesus wants us to treat other people like brothers or sisters.
“Least brothers of mine, that you do unto me.” Jesus spoke these words to his disciples. These words that He had said mean that we should be caring for anyone who are “lesser” than us. These types of people are also known as anyone who is poor and, or homeless. Jesus is inside of everyone’s hearts. Whatever we do unto a person, we have done unto God. Be kind.
“‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'” This part of the Gospel stuck out to me today, because Jesus is telling us that He is in everyone. We are not called to help only those who can repay us, but to help everyone. Through treating everyone like Jesus, we are being like Jesus. We are called to love all, no matter what. We shouldn’t love people for physical repayment, but we should love for the sake of loving, and we will be spiritually rewarded in Heaven.
I think God is telling us to treat eveyone with respect and that includes him. If we treat our friends with respect we need to treat God the same or even better.
Jesus just said treat others as you would treat me. treat others as you would treat Jesus, if you give a poor person food it is like you gave Jesus food give them clothes and it is like you gave Jesus clothes give them shelter and it is like you gave Jesus shelter.
if you help a person in need you treat Jesus as if he were in need.
In the Gospel today it talks about helping Jesus by when he was hungry they gave him food, when thirsty gave him a drink, when he was a stranger they welcomed him, naked and they clothed him, ill and they cared for him, in prison and they visited him. This shows that even if we don’t know someone we can always help them out. We can be Christ Like and help others when they are down or when they need help from us.
“He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’” I think Jesus is saying to treat everyone as kind and generous as you would do to Jesus. Jesus is in everyone, even the ‘bad people’ or people that we don’t like, God still made them too, so we should treat them with love and respect too. Even when it is really hard.
I think what the Gospel is saying is everyone is created in God’s image. Jesus says whatever you do to the least of Me you did for Me and that is saying that whatever you did to the hungry, the homeless, the sick, or anyone you have done to Christ. The Lord loves everyone and we are also meant to love everyone.
‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Today Jesus tells us that whatever we do to others, we are doing to him. Jesus sees everything and we can do nothing in secret. Jesus will always know. It is better to repent and be sorry instead of trying to hide from your sin. Jesus will forgive you if you ask for it. We must treat others as we want to be treated because Jesus sees that and however we treat our brothers will either help us or hurt us on our journey when we die.
What I got out of this is that we need to treat everyone with kindness. As we all know everyone is a child of God so why are we rude to others when we don’t even know them. Jesus didn’t put us on this earth so that we can judge and be rude to others, he put us here so that we can spread the gospel and spread his love. We need to realize that we are no better than anyone else so lets start acting like it and start loving and caring for other the way Jesus would want us too.
What I got from this is to treat everyone with love. No matter who they are and what they are to you, treat them as if they were Jesus because when we learn how to treat everyone the same we live a better Christian life. “for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Treat everyone, even the lowest of people like how you would treat Jesus.
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” This stuck out to me because I think what Jesus is trying to say is that whatever they do to us is what they have done to him. Jesus is a humble man. Jesus loves us and cares for us. Jesus will never stop loving us.
I think that the gospel is trying to tell us that we should give to others. Now you don’t have to give everything to everyone but you should give some things to the people who really need it. Or if it is something that wouldn’t be useful to the people in need, you could sell it and give the people who need it the money you get. Some people don’t homes or food because of there addictions like drugs and gambling but you should still donate. I bet you did something bad before and you don’t see people abandoning you because of it. So why should we abandon them? Now if you give them money directly then they might spend it on something that they don’t need. But if you give it to a charity then they will make sure that the people they give it to will put it to good use. You might ask yourself sometimes “why should i give people something when they wouldn’t give me anything if i was in there position?”, well you should do it because it would be something God would want you to do. Jesus helped so many people and they didn’t appreciate it. Yet he kept on giving and healing and helping. So we should give to others like how God gives us everything. Remember what God did for us and pass it on!
In the scripture God gave Moses the 10 commandments and told him to go and speak to the whole assembly of the children of Israel and tell them the commandments. God wants us to treat each other with respect and to love one another as ourselves because however we treat others is how we are treating God. We need to ask ourselves if we would treat others disrespectfully if God was in the same room as us.
The Judgment of Nations is a bible passage that I really enjoy reading because to me it’s always a good wake up call for how I should act. Like a splash of cold water. I feel like we too often forget that the way we treat others, especially the ones that we kind of deem as outcasts, are also an image of Christ. Maybe it’s hard to see because they look strange or act strange or we just don’t understand the things they do and say so we choose to treat them like they are less than us. We fail to show them the kindness and love that they deserve despite what we think. This in a way, strips a person of their dignity. Like we are telling them that they aren’t worth enough to be noticed or to have their feelings taken into account. To be honest, it breaks my heart to know that some people, including myself, fall into this often. It’s so normal to outcast people. It’s so normal to treat others like they don’t matter, like they aren’t a human being. I think one of the most courageous things a person can do is show kindness to those who never receive it and that’s what Christ did and that is one of the reasons he was rejected and eventually killed. But what he was doing was right and that’s the example we should follow.
At the end of time those who did good to people and loved God will get eternal happiness and those who do not will have eternal suffering.
I think he is trying to tell me that he has our back no matter what and will give and do anything for us.
“As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place.” This stuck out because Jesus died on the Cross for us. We can never repay him for what he did for us.
Jesus did not come to bring lasting peace but to separate us from the ones that chose not to follow him. Whatever we do to someone else we are doing to God. We must always strive to be saints and to help everyone in need. everything we do in life will be judged at the end of time when he will divide us.
What todays gospel told me was that everyone has an opportunity to go to heaven. Its if we choose to follow him.No matter who you are,no matter how popular you are, none of it matters to God.He sees you in the eyes of infinite love. But we choose if we look back at him the same way. With LOVE.
As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it. Jesus did nothing wrong but he died on the cross to save us from sin and so we could go to heaven.
“What you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me” This stood out to me because it really shows me that if you take care of people and always show them kindness, your basically doing it towards God. Treat others how you want to be treated and show others a role model of holiness and kindness so you can go to heaven and live eternally with Jesus.
in today’s Gospel what stuck out to me in Gods readings was ‘least
brothers of mine you do it for me , what that means is that we shall help
the poor and honor are lord and savior Jesus Christ .
In today’s Scripture Jesus is telling me that everybody has God inside them. That we must not only take of our own but also take of others by being nice, kind, and loving to them.He will always be present in all of and that we must be kind to everybody no matter of where they came from
The sinners and unrighteous will be punished and put on the left side, like you separate goats and sheep. Those who are righteous will be put on the left side, and will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven. Whenever you do someing to your brother you are doing it to the father.
I think what God is telling me is that God will always be there and he will always listen and care. He judges us when we die and decides if heaven is right for us.
The sinners and unrighteous will be punished and put on the left side, like you separate goats and sheep. Those who are righteous will be put on the left side, and will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven. Whenever you do something to your brother you are doing it to the father.
What I think the Gospel was saying today is that anything we do to anybody we are also doing it to God because God Is present in every human being He is within us we should help those in need like the gospel says ” For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” we have to care for everyone we have to be nice to everyone treat everyone how you would treat God / Jesus
God is telling us that when we do good to others, especially those of little importance, we do the same to Him. In today’s Gospel, God judges the nations and separates them. The sheep are good, for they have fed Him when He was hungry, gave Him drink when He was thirsty, welcomed Him as a stranger, clothed Him when He was naked, cared for Him when He was ill, and visited Him when He was in prison. Likewise, when we do these corporal works of mercy to others, we feel jovial and happy inside. It’s like when we do good to others, we do good to God. So, be kind to everyone; be humble and caring and welcoming, for when you do those kind acts of mercy, you do the same for God, as He resides in everyone’s hearts.
In the scripture it talks about how we are all sinners and we deserve to be punished for it. We have sacrificial love. We need this to give like Him.
what stood out to me was how when jesus is sitting on his throne he will seperate us like goats and sheep and that I hope that we will be able to go to the right side not the other
