Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

The word of God is living and effective,
sharper than any two-edged sword,
penetrating even between soul and spirit,
joints and marrow,
and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
No creature is concealed from him,
but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him
to whom we must render an account.

Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens,
Jesus, the Son of God,
let us hold fast to our confession.
For we do not have a high priest
who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but one who has similarly been tested in every way,
yet without sin.
So let us confidently approach the throne of grace
to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.  HEB 4:12-16

Paul reminds us today that the word of God is, “living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.”  He then goes straight to judgment day.  God sees everything in which we will render an account with.  We can’t hide our sins from God.  He knows whether we confess them and are truly sorry.  We may be able to hide them from our parents, but God sees everything and He will be the final judge.  There is healing in coming completely clean and unchaining ourselves from every wrong doing.  Paul then offers comfort.  Jesus came to us, “to sympathize with our weaknesses and be tested in every way yet without sin”.  Invite Jesus into your suffering, your sin, come to Him who died so that we could have this opportunity.  Look at the crucifix.  His head is bent to kiss you, arms spread to welcome you.  We can be baptized, go to reconciliation, receive the Eucharist, and be anointed if we are sick to be free from the wrong doings we willfully chose.  He came to us to die and conquer sin and death and He set up these sacraments so His grace could constantly flow to us.  This is joyful, peaceful, generous, faithful, and charitable.  Grace is God’s life in us.  Find a way each day to come to that grace through the sacraments, prayer, good deeds, or fasting.  ”So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help”. Thank you God, for I am a sinner who needs your mercy, love, and grace.

Today’s challenge: Come to the Scriptures and apply them to your daily life because they are living and effective.  They are timeless.  Allow this time with Christ in the Scriptures to guide you through your day seeing sin before it comes, temptations that Devil will throw at you, help to fight bad habits, for prudence in each of these situations, and a reminder to pray unceasingly.  Come to God’s grace, He is trying to live in you so that you can get back to Him.

Be a servant, become a saint!
