For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures;
that he was buried;
that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures;
that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.
After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once

1 Cor 15:1-11

Jesus fulfilled the law and prophecies by His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.  We celebrate this every Mass and He stays with us by hiding behind bread and wine in the Eucharist.  He appeared to the Apostles, Mary, and 500 witnesses.  The Scriptures are fulfilled and Paul and the Apostles did not preach in vain, Jesus truly is the Messiah, the Savior of the world.  Go out and spread this Good News of salvation to others.  Be a missionary in your home, in your school, in your city, and to the world if you are called to.  Pope Francis spoke about the courage of the missionaries and that Paul and the Apostles did not stay in Jerusalem but preached the Good News to all nations in his General Audience today.  This is what Jesus asked them to do and asks us to do today.  The Church is alive through the Holy Spirit in each one of us!  Do not be afraid, have courage, and spread the Good News through your actions, when necessary use words (St. Francis).

Jesus says, “But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”  He came to live among the least of society, the poor, the greatest sinners, tax collectors, prostitutes, the disabled, those with disease.  We to are called to forgive and help the least of His people.  One who forgives especially the greatest of sinners, is the one who will be forgiven and shows the greatest love.  I challenge you to forgive someone today or ask someone to forgive you and feel the healing power of God, to feel love.  Forgiveness is the hardest thing I have ever done, but the reward was well worth it.  It is the foundation of our faith, forgive, love, and be at peace with God and others.  Amen.
