If there is no resurrection of the dead,
then neither has Christ been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised, then empty too is our preaching;

When we go to Mass we celebrate a mini-Easter, a remembrance of the Paschal Mystery, Jesus’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.  Today, reflect on the importance of the Resurrection.  As Paul said, if there is no resurrection, we have no faith and our preaching is empty.  Give glory to God, for He has been raised.  Imagine yourself at the tomb when Mary Magdalene does not find Jesus but only His burial cloth.  The excitement must have been overwhelming!

Today is Friday, give something up to remember that Christ died for you.  It is a Catholic duty, not optional!
