Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Brothers and sisters:
Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood
but with the principalities, with the powers,
with the world rulers of this present darkness,
with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Therefore, put on the armor of God,
that you may be able to resist on the evil day
and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
So stand fast with your loins girded in truth,
clothed with righteousness as a breastplate,
and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace.
In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield,
to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
With all prayer and supplication,
pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.
To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication
for all the holy ones and also for me,
that speech may be given me to open my mouth,
to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel
for which I am an ambassador in chains,
so that I may have the courage to speak as I must. Eph. 6:10-20
What is the greatest piece of armor a person can use against Satan? Humility, “of the earth”, “you are dust and to dust you shall return”, basically it means God is God and we are not. Envy entered the world through Lucifer. He was the most powerful angel, but he didn’t accept himself for who God made him to be and he wanted to be more. He wanted to be God and have all of the power.
How much has wanting to be in control and have all of the power over a situation messed up relationships in your life? How many times have you tried to control another person in your life? It doesn’t work. A person tries to make themselves God when they do this. So, where does a person start to fight Satan and these temptations of power? Get baptized and seek the Truth! Seek Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who is Truth. Receive Jesus in the Eucharist and humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done, not my will be done).
Ask Jesus for an increase in Faith! I believe (which begins in a person’s heart), therefore I pray, and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit I received: knowledge, understanding, wisdom, fortitude, fear of the Lord and counsel I have come to know who God is, who I am, and what my mission and purpose are. It is difficult battle wrestling with God about every life situation. It is a difficult to go to the depths of hell and fight Satan. It is a difficult battle to let go of sin that chains us and overcome the sin we hate. It is difficult reading and reflecting for hours on Scripture and spiritual books seeking Truth and the answers to life’s toughest questions. The result, peace. Friendship with God. Perfect love that has no fear, St. John says. Put on the armor of God and fight! Your soul’s entire future depends on it and a Father who wants nothing more than you to be safe in His arms is waiting.
Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said,
“Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.”
He replied, “Go and tell that fox,
‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow,
and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.
Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day,
for it is impossible that a prophet should die
outside of Jerusalem.’
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Behold, your house will be abandoned.
But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Lk 13:31-35
Jesus tells us on the third day “I accomplish my purpose”. He is frustrated because the highest of the chosen people are blind to God’s love and so many prophets have been sent by God to help them. Jesus is in front of them speaking about the kingdom of God and performing miracles and they still do not believe he is God, above all, in all, and “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”. Jesus is not afraid of any human ruler. The roman rulers were called gods, lord, savior. There is only one God, Ruler, King of Kings, Lord, Savior, and Messiah, Jesus Christ and His love will never end.
Today’s challenge: Love-be obedient, sacrifice what you want for someone else, give without receiving anything in return joyfully, help someone who cannot help you back. Love never ends, requires sacrifice, and will be the biggest regret on your death bed if you do not do it enough.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Today’s gospel is about how we need to use what God has taught us, and put on the armor of God. So that we will be protected from the devil because we put our trust in God.
What reached out to me was when it was talking about putting on armor. What this means is that we need to use the Sacraments and prayers to help us fight sin.
jesus is all way with as and he is are prteshon to prtet hu
“hold faith as a shield,”This part stood out to me because it is telling us to trust in faith. When you use a shield you trust it will hold up and protect you. In our faith we need to trust that having faith will keep us safe from sin and persecution.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells us to be ready for battle. Jesus is not talking about a physical war, but a spiritual war against the devil. The word of God is our armor and faith is our shield. The devil is always trying to take us down but with God we are stronger than the devil. So we must stand firm in God because he will protect us.
We are at war with the temptations of sin and the tactics of the devil. We are at war with all worldy things, and we must stand strong with God as our strength and we must never give up. We must stand strong with the power of God and the faith and hope of eternal life with God in Heaven, because at every consievable second, the devil is trying to take us away from the faith.
We are fighting a battle with the devil. He wants to steal our souls away from God and lead us away from Him. Every time we fall away from God and sin, it gets harder for us to resist temptation. By following the commandments and consistently resisting temptation, it gets easier to say no to the devil and say yes to God. We cannot do this alone, but, with Jesus, through prayer and virtue we can learn to better resist the devil.
We are not God. Believing we are is what happened to Lucifer. If we think that we are better/equal to God we will fall down the same unholy path Satan did. We need to have humility and know that we are mortal and are not God. Once we learn this then we can go down a path to holiness then to heaven.
As Catholics, sacrifice is important. Not only for Jesus, but for us. We need to be willing to make sacrifices like how Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross. Some ways that we can make sacrifices is by not eating meat during Lent, giving up our time to pray to God, doing volunteer work for the Church, and really.. Just being a good Catholic. Being Catholic already comes with lots of sacrifices so as long as we live a holy life, we’re sacrificing.
In today’s reading ” hold faith as a shield,” Stuck out to me because I think that this is a great mindset to have in the world today because a lot of people aren’t able to stand up for there faith so by knowing that they can use it as a “shield” to help them might change their perspective of the way they see their faith.
This scripture passage today is so meaningful and so powerful. One of the main messages I got from this was that the devil is going to try his very hardest to temp us to not do whats right. He just is, ever since Adam and Eve he has done it. But, we can ´ t just let him do it we need to saddle up God ´ s shield and do something about it. God is with us so put God to the test and move through his Holy Spirit. We have to stand firm. Each and every one of us. We can ´ t let him overthrow us, Jesus died so we have to keep fighting for him everyday.
This scripture is saying that we need to put on the Armour of God. It means that we need to pray and embrace God our life is going to be very difficult without God but, if we are with God the whole time and never lose faith or give up on him he will make our life harder to test us but he will know we will do the right thing if we are good.
The devil is always trying to attack us, with temptation and sin. The only way to beat that is to believe in God and stand with Him. That will beat the devil every time. But we know it’s hard but we just have to be strong. Jesus will be with us to help us.
I think this is saying we need to save ourselves from the devil’s temptations and that we must not fall for his lies and deceit.
In Scriptures, it says our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the evils of the world. The devil is always trying to temp us and make us sin, so we need to go to Jesus where we will find shelter and protection from the devil. Jesus is here for us and will always protect us.
What I think Jesus is telling me is that we need to not let the devil tempt us. He says we need to stay strong and to stand our ground. I think that means He is telling us that the devil is going to come after us and we need to stay strong.
The Gospel talks about that we need to be aware of the Devils and how he is going to trick us. It also talks about how the man when they get ready for war they have to girded loins.
We use our shield to block the wrath and hatred of the devil, and use our sword to make them stop trying to push us away from God. We use our armor to block anything and everything from the devil, so that God lets us do our mission which is to spread the Word and be a missionary.
Today in the scripture I feel like God is telling me to pray to him to protect my soul from the Devil. So he can give me the Strength and the Armour of Christ. I will accept the fact that I can’t save myself I need to be saved by Jesus Christ and God. I now want to pray more and read the Word of God more (Bible), so that I can protect myself from the wicked, horrible snares of the Devil. My favorite quote from this scripture today is this. Therefore, put on the armor of God,
that you may be able to resist on the evil day
and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
That the devil is always going to find ways to temp us in life no matter what and we need to be strong against those temptations. God and Jesus will be walking every step of the way with us side by side.
the devil wants to tempt us into doing wrong. and God knows this, that is why he wants us to put on the armor of Him so he can help us stay on the right path. he wants us to fight for what is right and those from doing what is wrong. He wants us to avoid sin and temptation and become closer to Him so we can strengthen that relationship that we have with him.
armor of God this is a way of saying that this is what we will need to get to heaven. this is what we will need to combat satin “The evil one” otherwise we will fall for his temptations.
I thing that this is saying that we should not be tempted by the devil. And to be strong so you don’t listen to the devil.
When it talked about putting on armor I thought about us fighting the devil, he is trying to lead us farther and farther away from God everyday so we must use our selves to protect ourselves from the devil.
The devil is always trying to attack us and distract us from God through many things, and that’s why we need God to help us fight back. We also need to stop trying to be so selfish and overpowering. God is God, and we aren’t.
I feel that from this passage it’s telling me Jesus can do anything, even fight the devil from temptation. He is also setting a good example for me, he is telling me that I should never let the devil get the best of me. I also really liked today’s challenge, it stuck out to me.
I think that what the Scripture is telling us is that we need to put on the armor to protect ourselves and others with the faith.
In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. This stood out to me because it said hold faith as a shield so its saying that our faith our love with God will protect us and God will believe and do anything for us along any part of life that gets rough for ourselves to handle by ourselves.
Jesus tells us on the third day “I accomplish my purpose”. He is frustrated because the highest of the chosen people are blind to God’s love and so many prophets have been sent by God to help them. Stuck out to me because it’s saying that Jesus is mad because we are so blinded to see how much Jesus loves us.
The thing that stuck out to me was that Jesus is still with us. Jesus came down to earth and died a painful death for each and every one of us. The devil wants you to believe that Jesus dose not care about you and the devil wants you to sin. The devil loves temptation and sin. No matter how hard the devil tries and tries as long as you love God and truly believe in him Jesus will help you. One homily that has really stuck with said this: The devil is nothing but a chained up dog. He is a disgusting dog chain with a metal leash. As long as you love God you and God will have nothing to do with that chained dog. Whenever you fall in temptation you are within reach of that leash and you fall into that temptation. Jesus loves us so much.
Some things that stood out to me was “Put on the armor of God,” so we can fight the devils temptation. “With all prayer and supplication,
pray at every opportunity in the spirit.” Also stood out to me, because we need him in our everyday life and don’t be scared to talk to him or to talk to him infront of people
This is telling us to be strong and put on the armor of God and fight the devil.
¨Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.¨
This stood out to me because people worry constantly about the temptation of the devil, but if they simply seek God, they will avoid the devils temptation
“hold faith as a shield,”This part stood out to me because it is telling us to trust in faith. When you use a shield you trust it will hold up and protect you. In our faith we need to trust that having faith will keep us safe from sin and persecution.
This reading says that we need to watch for the devil because he is our biggest struggle. We should turn to Jesus because God’s holy armor can protect us.
This part really stuck out to me:
“For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day”
I think this means that we need to protect our selves from the devil and other bad things of our world and escape it by prayer, sacrifce, going to mass.
What stood out to me was that it is difficult to fight the devil and get rid of sin. It is difficult to reflect on scripture and think about what it means. Read the prayers and think of what they are saying and then you will know what you are praying and not just saying something that you memorized.
Today God wants us to stay away from evil spirits and to know when they are near. He doesn’t want us to get caught on the devil thats why God tells us to put armor which is Jesus which is trusting that Jesus will save you.
Put armor on from god to protect yourself from the bad habits and pray to God for the spirit to rein down on evil and darkness. This sentence is the power from God that takes away all the evil from you and from others. This is the protection of God for he cares for you and for all. So pray to him mouth-to-mouth or in your head that you’ll be protected from now to death.
“Put on the armor of God” What it’s trying to say is that God is giving something to us spirituality and we should thank him for giving us something that’s going to help us for our entire life.
What stuck out to me is that the devil is always trying to tempt us into doing things we think we want but God is trying to get us prepared for battle against all those things because when you really think about it not every thing you want is really good.
“Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.” This is really important. We are called to stand with God and we should fight peacefully in the name of God. Peace is what we need. We are not God, we are servants of God. Fight for God and all things beautiful about God.
The devil wanted all the power and to control us but we must hold faith as a shield. We do not choose our own will but God’s will.
It says to stay strong, stand our ground, and not let the devil tempt us because the devil will come for us and we need to be ready and stay strong.
“you are dust and to dust you shall return”
i like this phrase because no matter what you do or what you have you will go to heaven with only your soul.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities. That Jesus struggle so you can go to heaven.
When we stand in the power of God, nothing can take us away from him. Prayer, The Rosary, and The Bible are all things that are meant to lead on the path to Heaven. These holy objects are also meant to help us get closer to God. THE MASS IS THE CENTER OF OUR FAITH. Every time we go to Mass, we lift up the kingdom of God. Without the Mass we can ´ t survive.
i feel like the scripture today was very strong. it tells us to put on God’s power not the devils power. by that God means to live a life he would live. living the gifts of the holy spirit, knowing Jesus, and praying. wearing the devils power is like judging people, sining, wanting materialistic things and not a heaven.
The Gospel tells us that we need to put on the armor of God. We need help to protect ourselves from the Devil. We need to trust God, because he wants us, we just have to want him.
I believe that the Gospel today is telling us that we must put all of our faith in Jesus. Jesus will give us the tools we need to defy the devil and follow Him. We just need to ask. When we ask of Him he tools we need to help us grow closer to Him, He will always supply them. It’s not a question of “Will he” but a question of “When will He.”
This scripture is telling us that there is evil all around us. We need to be aware of the good and evil. To protect us from sin we are told to put on the Armor of God. Put your faith in Jesus and not in evil.
I think this scripture means that we need to have faith in God all through our lives. Its the only way we will be able to spend eternity with him in peace. We must fight sin until our dying breath and do what is good.
In our lives we will always be presented with options. some options are to do whats and some are to give into temptation and do what the devil wants us to do. we can’t make all of these choices on our own we need God to guide us to do whats right.
This scripture passage is telling us that the Devil is always trying to distract us from God. We need to fight for God and protect ourselves from Satan.
God is our armor to defeat the devil. We need to have God in our life to make sure we make the right decisions in our life and so that we can speak the truth. We need to be strong with the Lord because he is our armor to defeat the devil and his temptation.
Humility, “of the earth”, “you are dust and to dust you shall return”, basically it means God is God and we are not. This stood out to me because none of us are God. God is one divine person. He is the one and only. We are ourselves and we shouldn’t say that we are God because we are not Him. Yes God is three in one but that doesn’t mean we are one of the three. It doesn’t mean we are Him.
The devil is always trying to tempt us. We must not let him. We must turn to God whenever we feel that we are being tempted by God. God will be there to help us through everything so he will definitely be there to guide us back to him when we are being tempted by the devil. Always know that we can turn to God when the Devil is trying to get us to turn to him.
God will always be our strength. He can protect us from the devil and sin, but only if we allow Him to. He loves us and cares for us and wants to protect us and to be in Heaven with Him, but we must follow Him and allow Him to come into our hearts. If we push Him out, the devil and sin will overtake us. Always trust in God to give you strength.
What the scripture is telling me is that even in the good there is always bad and you should always be ready to fight the wicked snares of the devil. you must put on the armor of God and fight the evil.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil. we believe in god now but will we be able to believe in him when it really matters or will we fall away from the church. we need to stand strong in our faith. be strong and be proud don’t let anyone make you feel like you should not be able to talk about Jesus. it should not be clockwork to talk to him we should be free.
I think this Gospel talks about confession. As children of God we need to be aware of God’s power and what God can do to change your life. He has unlimited love and even if you sin or make a mad mistake in life God is there to forgive your sin. God gives us a choice to either follow his path and be holy or just do our life on our own and sin and party and do drugs. Jesus tells us that if we follow his path then Jesus will reward us with the best Gift in the world and that is heaven. So follow Jesus’ call and his teaching.
I think this is saying that we need to prevent ourselves from being tempted by the devil. If we do get tempted then we shall stand strong and hold our ground. We do this by silence and prayer.
This scripture tells us to stay strong with Jesus, and not give into the hate of the world. God will always be there fir us so we can always stay strong with him.
one paragraph that really stuck out to me was… Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healing today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.’ it was amazing how Jesus responded.
God is always there to help you to not be tempted by the devil.

This part in the Gospel today really stood out to me. “quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.” The flaming arrows are sin coming at us and we need to put on the Armor of God. To protect us from these arrows. God is so strong stronger than the rock or any body you think is strong. He is strong because He has to hold up the world and protect us. We don’t notice this because we are wrapped up in our life. trying to be popular or trying to be someone we are not, Or being selfish. And God still stays strong.
God is always there to help us avoid temptation from the devil.
Today’s scripture makes me think about how we can ask God for so much but not give Him some of our time in return. “Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil.” This quote also reminds me that when we put trust in God we will be powerful.
We are at war with the temptations of sin and the tactics of the devil. We are at war with all worldy things, and we must stand strong with God as our strength and we must never give up.
This scripture is talking about how we fight the devil and we have to put on our armor so that he does not get to us and we need the armor because it helps us to not do sin and if we need to stay strong we can ask Jesus to help in whatever we need help in so that we don´t sin as much.
I think the scripture is saying, that we need God and He will protect us and give us the “armor of God” to help us reach Him. God always has His hand outstretched waiting for us to accept Him because He loves us so much. We just need to remember we can do anything if God helps us or if it is in the plan He has made for each and every one of us.
God knows that we will have to fight the devil and his temptations. He knows how hard it will be for us, but he also gave us his “armor”. “So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. He gives us all the tools that we need to fight the devil we just need to use them.
This scripture is saying that we are too weak to fight the devil alone. We need God’s sacraments as our armor or we will fail in this life. We need Jesus. Without him we are nothing.
Brothers and sisters:
Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
I think that Jesus is specifically telling Us about what we should do to protect ourselves from the devil, Our Armour is the Holy Spirit put into us by the Bishop at our Confirmation, The Holy Spirit shows us the right path and guides us from evil, but it’s up to us to chose the right thing to do. To prevail against the Devils temptations.
“Draw your strength from the power of God.” God can help us get through anything. Jesus is always there for us, and will always be there for us. So give your fears to God. He will support you.
Today the Scripture is telling us that we have God by our side the whole time and we just need to listen to Him and put on the armor by staying with Him and do not get into temptation by the devil and that we need to take some time from our day and say a prayer and talk to Jesus and have the armor of God and beat the devil.
“And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.” I like that a lot because it’s saying that we need to take the helmet of Jesus, which means bring Jesus in our lives, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. The second sentence is saying that we need to pray every opportunity we have. Even if it’s about how your day is going. It doesn’t always have to be if you need help with something.
God did not and will not abandon this. He is our armor and our shield; He will protect us. The devil is constantly trying to sneak up on us and make us turn to evil. However, God has given us gifts like the Holy Spirit to protect us and guide us.
This means that whenever the devil tries to make you sin. God will stop the temptation of that sin
This scripture is telling us that we need to be aware of the good and evil. We need to know the difference between good and bad actions. Satan and Jesus, and mostly anything evil.
In the scripture today it talks about putting on the armor of God. We cannot win the battle of evil by ourselves. No one can. That’s like getting on a seesaw and having no one on the other end. You have to have something else to make it work. It says “For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God,that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.” This statement right here tells you to let God help. God wants to help you, God wants you to be with him in heaven! You have to have faith.
“And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” This piece of Scripture kind of reminds me of the quote by Padre Pio, where he says “The rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times”. These both represent the fact that our faith will protect us, the rosary, and God’s Word. Also, another piece of Scripture that comes to mind when I think of this is when Jesus says “Go, your faith has saved you.”
We cannot fight Satan alone. We are weak compared to Satan. That is why God gave us the Son. When Jesus came down to earth he showed us that he is the power we need to be Satan. If you don’t want to admit that Jesus is our shield I dare you to try to fight any battle of sin, even tiny sins, and you will fail because you don’t have Jesus by your side carrying you through it. He gave us a shield USE IT.
What I’m getting from the scripture reflection is that we should follow God and stand by Him. We need to stay close to Him and away from the devil. You are safe with God, He will protect you from all evil. You just need to stay to follow him and you will be safe. The devil doesn’t do you any good, he only brings bad things.
It is saying that we should pray to help us stay away from evil. If we don’t pray then it would be harder to stay away from it and it will be trying to make us get closer to it. If we go too far into evil it would be hard to get out of it. God will try and help us but it is up to us if we even want God’s love. If we do want it then we have to try and let our bad habits go and try to go to mass every day or every Sunday. We need to also be praying a rosary every day.
What the devil seeks is power over us, forcing us to do his bidding. Don’t let him take over your mind. As the reflection says today, the strongest piece of armor a person can use against the devil is this quote, “You are dust and to dust you shall return.” If you ever feel like the devil is tempting you, use that quote.
The “Armor of God” is of course not actually refering to a piece of armor. The armor is more refering to prayer holiness and faith. With the power of God to protect you, you will live a holy and perfect life.
We can´t let him overthrow us, Jesus died so we have to keep fighting for him everyday.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood
but with the principalities, with the powers,
with the world rulers of this present darkness,
with the evil spirits in the heavens. This shows us that we shouldn’t be mad at God for the bad things in the world for God did not create the bad in the world Satin did.
Sometimes we think that God and the battle are far away. We are told that God is near us, and we may believe that, but we need to remember that we are called to warriors, not supporters or cheerleaders, warriors. God calls us to do so, and he gives us all we need to win. We just need to look around, take the chances God has given us, and evangelize.
Today I feel like its about Jesus and people not knowing how much power he really has. I think it is also about how we need to wear the armor of god and use it against Satan and envy.
In this reading Jesus talks about how we are going too face some hard stuff. He also tells us how to deal with them. Jesus talks about how all bad things come from Satan, and how in this time a good piece of armor is humility.
WE need to stand up against the Devil.
The line i liked in the scripture today is.Brothers and sisters: Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate. What i think of when i here this is to stay with Jesus so that we can defeat the devil and his evil spirits so we stand against him
The devil is strong, but God’s love is stronger. We need to be able to protect ourselves and others against the devil.
Today the scripture was telling me that the is much evil aroung us and we need to stand strong against the devils tactics If we are draw our strength from the Lord We will not lose.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil. We need to put our armor on means that we need to shield ourselves from the devil and stay with God no matter what. We need to stand by God and not be tempted by the devil and help other people get to God.
“you are dust and to dust you shall return” We need to realize that we need to give way more attention to God than we do now because everybody now is just on there phone and prays like once a day we need to get off our phones and pray more and more everyday.
i love this passage because for me its saying that God will take care of us and he will always be there for us when we need him and he gives us shields and armor like the holy water and stuff and we will always be protected by him when we do.
We put too much of our life into worldly things, not Godly things. We need to put on the armor of God to protect us from the devil and temptation. If we trust in Him, the sin of the world will not triumph over us.
“For our struggle is not with flesh and blood.” This phrase stuck out to me because we have fights with other people but those are just small fights. The real fight will be with the devil. We need to put on the amour of God which means we need to trust in God.
(Thy Will be done, not my will be done).
This is pretty self explanatory but it is saying that Gods will be done not mine.
What I got from it was the more you pray, go to mass, read the gospels/bible, and talk to God you strengthen your relationship with Him and eventually not be tempted by the Devil easily. God doesn’t want to see us go to hell which is why He gives us the Bible, He gives us the Body, He gives us all the proof to believe but we always fall into the temptation of the Devil. So if you take all of the proof, and study it you’re a detective of Christ and all the proof points toward Him, no good detective will ever blame someone else for the proof that points to someone else. So to skim it down: We have all the proof we need, so if we follow it we will be loving to God and loved by God which will get you to Heaven
Something that really stuck out to me was that in it it says put on the armor of God and what I think that it was telling me was that when the devil is trying to tempt you can talk to Jesus and say a prayer to him.
I think this means that we need to stay away from the devils temptations becasue it is easy to get distracted. We must Draw strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
Put on the armor of God and fight! Your soul’s entire future depends on it and a Father who wants nothing more than you to be safe in His arms is waiting. I think that this is interesting because you never think about your faith as fighting for your life.
God is the one to give us our armor. If we trust in him he will give us what we need. The word of God helps for our armor.
What stuck out to me was the armor that means like we need the sacraments will protect us from evil and give us strengh
put armour in fight for jesus fight for your spot in heaven live life to the fullest live as an image of god and you shall be rewarded for eternity.
Hold faith as a shield, that tells me that if we believe in God with all of our hearts, then our faith will shield us from the temptations of the devil. We are in a spiritual battle with the devil.
I think the Scripture is saying we have to be strong when the devil tries to tempt us. We have to make the right choice when we are tempted. No matter how strong the temptation is we have to resist and make the right decision.
We do not know when the second coming is. No human does. We should be prepared for when He comes.
“Put on the Armor of GOD” obviously not actual Armor,Its the armor of Christ against satan, taking communion, going to mass, praying the rosary, all of those help your armor get stronger and stronger against the Devil
