St. Paul teaches us a valuable lesson today, we must fight with all God has given to us and revealed to us to conquer the Devil’s temptations. “Put on the armor”, “so stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the arrows of the Evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”
Eph 6:10-20
Jesus teaches us to stand up and fight evil today in the Gospel. Herod wants to kill Him and everyone is telling Him to flee. He replies, “Go and tell that fox,’Behold I cast out demons and I perform headings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.'”
Today, think about how the Devil is tempting you. Are you standing your ground or giving in?
