Paul uses the term satisfaction in today’s 1st reading. Are we satisfied with our faith? If Mass is boring, you wear a uniform because you have to, and go to Church because it is a rule I would say your faith is not satisfying you. Where do you look to find satisfaction in your life? God put a void in us that only He can satisfy. St. Augustine said his heart did not rest until it rested in God. If you worship your cell phone, TV, sports, or material things you are going to be looking for satisfaction for a long time. Pray more, bring God into your electronics, help other people especially those in your own home. God satisfies while material things leave us searching for more. Happy=Holy

In the Gospel, Jesus rebukes the Pharisees because His Apostles were eating on the Sabbath. His Truth revealed to us today is that human necessity is more important than rituals. Compassion for others is most important!
