Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two
and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick
–no food, no sack, no money in their belts.
They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic.
He said to them,
“Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there.
Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet
in testimony against them.”
So they went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them. Mk 6:7-13
Jesus gave authority to the Apostles over unclean spirits and authority to cure the sick by anointing them with oil. Jesus’ authority did not stop with the 12 Apostles, but from Peter was passed on to Linus and down to Pope Francis. This authority was passed down to bishops and priests who are still preaching repentance, casting out demons, and curing the sick. This proves to us that Jesus has the authority to pass on His powers to specific people He gives the power to. The pope, bishops, and ordained priests all have been given authority by Christ to forgive sins, consecrate the Eucharist, anoint the sick and give them last rites, to Baptize in the name of the Trinity, to confirm the Holy Spirit in us, to witness a couple making wedding vows.
Don’t believe me? Fr. Ben Green gave absolution to my son, Nathan, and many other 2nd graders for first reconciliation. In the Year of Fr. Kapaun, we took time to reflect on his intercession from heaven to heal Chase Kear who should have died after a pole vaulting accident, Avery Gerlemen from a blood disease that was eating her alive from the inside, and Nick Dellesega who was without a pulse for 9 and half minutes. We don’t hear these things on the nightly news very often. We must search them out because God’s grace, love, and authority are the most powerful things in the world. The sick are cured, demons are cast out, and reconciliation is taking place right now all over the world.
Take time to fill your mind with good and holy things each day, change the way you think with Jesus’ teachings and your perspective on life will change forever, it is called conversion. Jesus is sending you and I out today two by two, after being formed by Him, to change the world by being who He created us to be.
Today’s challenge: Read about Fr. Kapaun’s story at http://catholicdioceseofwichita.org/father-kapaun or find a book on Fr. Kapaun and read it. Put good and holy people and things around you. Humble yourself and recognize we need God, if you seek Him out you will not be disappointed. All of us are called to be saints, with a specific role for our journey. Ask Jesus what your role is in this life then take nothing with you but your walking stick and be amazed at what Christ will do through you!
Be a servant,become a saint!

I can apply this to my life by always trusting God. I have to trust that he is going to provide with what I need.
God teaches us to be welcoming of everyone.
We don’t need to depend on earthly things. Jesus will provide for us. We have to trust Him.
This Gospel taught me that we should trust in the Lord. I say this because The 12 apostles trusted that the Lord would take care of them and they listened to Jesus when he said to not take anything with them. They listened to Jesus and in the end he still took care of them. He gave them power to drive out unclean spirits and cure people. If we trust in the Lord we will most likely to live a good life and go to heaven. If we have trust in the Lord, there won’t be anything to worry about. If we don’t have trust, we don’t have anything in our relationship with Christ.
I can apply this to my life by listening to God and trusting him, I can also do as God tells me even though I don’t think it will work but God always has a plan.
What this is saying that Jesus told them to basically fast while preaching the Gosple. And if no one will listen to you or not let you in then clean your feet of in front of their house.
This scripture passage applies to my life today because it is a good example of listening to God. When the Twelve heard Jesus tell them not to bring food or extra clothes, theyprobably had second thoughts about actually doing it, but they just needed to have complete trust in God. I can remember that today when my parents or elders tell me to do something that sounds boring or unnecessary, I can just trust them like the Apostles trusted Jesus.
I think Jesus is telling us the same thing he told his apostles when he told them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick. Our journey is to get to heaven, and Jesus is telling us that we can’t prepare for it. We can be good Catholic people here on earth, but we can’t take anything to heaven with us.
In this scripture passage it is telling us to put our trust fully in God. God is so powerful and will be there beside us every day of our lives. We should try to listen to what God is telling us to do and what our vocations are because His will is the right way. As well as putting our trust in God we should be spreading the Gospel to people in our day to day lives and share the good news about Jesus.
Jesus sent out the 12 to cure and preach, those 12 were the 12 who truely believed at the time Jesus told them to help others. Carry no food money or stick not even some money for your belt for the mercy of others will carry you along. They trusted that God would provide for them and he did going out with nothing is very foolish but they trusted the Lord and it worked.
I believe that when Jesus sent the apostles to heal and preach, he was guiding them to a Holy and succesful life. Even though He is not on the earth with us right now, we can still pray for him to guide us in the right direction so that we make it to Heaven like he was with the apostles.
Jesus has the authority to pass on his powers to you to help you with going to heaven. Jesus gave authority of unclean spirits to the apostles so they could wipe away the unclean spirits. He gave them the authority to heal the sick this was passed through Peter to Linus and Pope Francis.
Jesus gave the Apostles the ability to drive out demons and heal people. Today there are still miracles happening . That shows that God is still with us today and He always has been.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and to read up on Fr. Kapaun and all his miracles he has done and learn why it is important to pray every day and be kind to all.
Today’s reading is talking about if arn’t welcomed or nobody is listening to you then you leave and shake off the dust of your feet. I can put this reading in my daily life by welcoming everyone I meet and by also listen to them.
In the scripture passage Jesus said to the apostols to go out and drive out the unclean spirits in the towns. Jesus also told the apostols to bring only a waling stick, sandals, and one set of clothes. The apostols had to trust that God would keep them safe on their travels because if they were to be attacked or robbed they could do nothing about it. Then they also couldn’t bring any food or money, they had entrusedt their lives to God to provide them with food, shelter, and safety. This must have taken lots of courage and faith in God. To be so vurnable to anything that could have happened to them on their travels. They could have froze, starved, or have been robbed. But the put their trust in the Lord and did as they were told, in complete faith of the Lord.
Jesus tells the 12 to go out without sacks, food, or money to heal and preach to others. The Apostles just had to trust that there were people out there who would take them in. While we may not be able to give up everything like the Apostles, we can do things like donate our toys and clothes, and money to others and spread the word of God in our communities. We also have to put the same trust in God that the Apostles did then.
In the Gospel, Jesus tells the apostles to leave their belongings in do God’s work. Our American society is very materialistic. Everyone wants the next best thing. But these men went with nothing and still had a fulfilling life because of Christ. We need to learn that we don’t need all of the things people are telling us we should get. The only thing we need is God.
God wants us to put people who make us a better person and become a better catholic. God wants to see us suceed and come t Heaven. And when someone doesn’t make you a better person then we need to let them go and go find other people who make you a better catholic.
Jesus tells His disciples to not carry anything extra, like clothes, food and money and to be grateful for what is given to you. We can apply this to our lives in the sense of materialism. All we want is our material things. Why have money, clothes, and electronics when we can leave that all behind and follow Jesus? We need to learn how to do that. Our material things don’t really matter to us, they just provide us entertainment and all that. But Jesus? He can satisfy us for life. Material things only satisfy you and entertain you for so long.
What I took away from this gospel is we need to talk and look to God when we are in trouble, he will always be there. We also need to stop surrounding ourselves with this bad stuff and surround ourselves with God more and it’ll change the way we think…in a good way.
We shouln’t always listen to the stuff on social media. We should focus on prayer more than other things. God’s power is stronger than anything in this world.
The Apostles are sent to preach in today’s gospel. Jesus said to take no food, no sack, and no money. The biggest importance I can see here is what the Aposteles didn’t take with them: food, a sack, and money. They had trust with Jesus. Where is our trust? I read one of mother Angelica’s books, and in it, she describes the boldness of the christian. But what is important is that he has a simple truth: he has trust. If God asks him to continue to preach even if preachers were being killed for preaching, he stands, and he preaches.
In this passage Jesus gives authority to the diciples over unclean spirits. He tells them to drop everything and go out proclaiming the good knews. It is like Jesus on the shore nad called them to become fishers of men, as they dropped everything to go and follow him. This is saying to us to leave God number one in life. #Christian Yolo
I can relate to this because Jesus gives me everything I need to follow his word, I just need to be willing to follow him and preach the word. He has given me a bible to read and people to preach to, I just need to listen.
This scripture is saying that we need to trust Jesus. He tells the Twelve to take only a walking stick on their journey. I personally would have been skeptical of this, wondering how I would get food and water, etc. But the Twelve did not question it. They went off with only walking sticks and sandals. They drove out unclean spirits, and they are filled with the grace of God. This is why we should trust in Him.
The disciples trusted Jesus when He told them to go to different places and not bring water, food, and extra clothes. They didn’t even question it. We should be like the disciples and trust Jesus and do what He tells us without having to question it.
this is another way Jesus tells us to be humble and that we should be missionaries. He sends his apostles out with close to nothing and has them spread the good word. this shows that we do not need worldly things to be holy.
Today Jesus tells the deciples to go out and clean people of evil spirits. What I learned from this is that jesus will guide us. He told them to go out with onlly a walking stick and sandles. he told them not to take food or money and that people along the way would provide for them. We need to learn to trust in God that he will guide us and take care of us.We need to put our faith in him.
We could be just like the Apostles. We could go out with nothing but faith and drive out evil spirts, only if we beliveve God.
He told them to leave everything they had and go preach. They trusted him, and they spread the word. They trusted him and did exactly what Jesus wanted, we need to do the same thing.
Jesus made sure that before He left, to keep the preaching going. He gave the authourity to cast out demons and heal the sick. We see this today with our own priests. They have been giving the ability to cast out demons, forgive sins, and heal the sick. The cycle will forever continue.
We need to act like the Apostles. Jesus gave them a very exact and almost odd order. No food, no money, no second tunic. Most people who would hear this would probably have second thoughts about it or not do it at all. But the Apostles listened to Jesus and cured many. We need to always trust that Jesus has a plan for us no matter how difficult it may be.
Jesus will provide for you, you just have to trust him. Earthly things won’t be there when you die, but your spirit will be. You should not be materialistic because Jesus will give you a fufilling life even if you don’t have an abundance of stuff. If you put your trust in him, everything will be alright.
Jesus sent out the apostles in twos. They healed the sick, casted out demons and preached repantence. People are still doing miricals like this. Even after all these years, there are apostles still out there doing God’s deed and healining people.
the gosspel is tryin to say we always have to help people.
Jesus told the Apostles to go out with no food, sack, or money. They had to trust God that there would be others to give them food and shelter. God is always ready to give us everything we need, but we must put our trust in him.
In today’s scripture, Jesus is being an example of authority. Jesus told the apostles to go and cast out demons and heal people. They didn’t say “No thanks, I don’t feel like it”, they went out as Jesus told them, and performed miracles. These people trusted Jesus and listened to Him, and recieved the power of the Holy Spirit. If we listen to Jesus, we will learn our calling and what we are meant to be and do in this world.
In todays Gospel Jesus sneds the Aposltes out over unclean spirits. He tells them that any place that doesn’t welcome you dust your feet off and leave there. This shows us that if we listen to Jesus and we do what he asks of we will seek true love in our hearts with him. Jesus loves us so much and we need to love him os much back. He so amazing and we need to talk to hime veryday and ask for his love in our hearts.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that not everything I see on social media is the truth. God’s word a teachings are the truth of the word. When I need guidence in live I need to turn to God and grow closer to him. God will always be our number one supporter and he always wants the best for us in everything we do.
What i got from this scripture is that when Jesus says something it is true, believe and trust him. You dont need material things to get to heaven and when you go to Heaven you leave it all behind. So live the life of Christ and trust in your faith and stop worring about material things
We are supossed to give everyone a chance weather we think they deserve it or not. When he sent the apostles out he new they were gonna get rejected. But in that rejection he new he would be welcomed. Just like we will be rejected by some people but you will be welcomed by the best people.
I can apply this scripture to my life by trusting in Jesus. It is important that we know Jesus has a path for us. We need to trust God and know he will provide whats best for us. We need to allow Jesus into our life so he can provide and guide us.
take time to fill your mids with good and holy things each day, change the way you think with Jesus’s teachings and your perspective on life will change forever.
This Gospel is telling me to put my phone or electronics down and put at least 20 minutes of silent time with our Lord for him to put love and hope into my life. If we hold on to Earthly things we will be happy but for only for maybe only a day or two but if we hold on to Heavenly things then we will be happy forever because we will be in Heaven with Jesus forever.
I can apply this to my life by letting God take the wheel. He placed authority in the Apostles, who cured the sick and this can be compared to our lives now. God has put authority into the priests so that we can receive the Sacraments. God wants us to receive the Sacraments so we can have a stronger bond with Him. So, in conclusion, if we entrust God with our lives, then we will be happy with Him.
In this reading I learned that God is our number one and we should just simply listen to him.
I can apply this to my life by listening and trusting in God. He told them to leave everything they had and go preach. They had to trust in him for this becasue it was a big deal. They had no food, money,or second tunic. They had complete trust in God.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that if we are in need we should always trust in God to care for us.
We shouldn’t be putting trust in ourselves, but we should put all of our trust in God, because he will always provide for you.
God might ask you to do the most outlandish thing, but it will alswys have a purpose. It may seem dangerous, but you must trust in God.
Jesus can forgive you for any mistake we could ever make. He can heal anyone no matter what the cause is. He is the ultimate rolemodel for our love and happiness.
Jesus is like the preist at the end of mass when he tells you to go and proclaim the Gospel.
In this Scripture passage, Jesus sends His disciples to go and preach the Good News. He sends them without any food, money or extra clothes. I can apply this to my life by trusting the Jesus will provide for me always, and by being brave to share the Gospel with everyone.
In this gospel Jesus said to go to houses and ask if they could stay. Jesus made them bring one tunic and sandles. Jesus did this to see if anyone would let the apostles looking like poor people would be acepted into homes. I can apply this to my life by being kind to everyone i meet.
In this passage it teaches us that God provides. Jesus said for apostles to not bring food, money, or extra clothes because God would take care of that. We as people on earth need to trust in God to take care of us and to fully submit ourselves to God.
The scripture is telling us that Jesus know everything thats best for us. And since he know everything, we should have faith and put out trust in him like the apostles did. They trusted Jesus and went out to do the will of God.
Jesus said to enter the houses and if you are not welcomed, shake the dust off your feet and move on. This tells me that whatever doesn’t go according to your plan, know that God has something better for you! If you pray to God to win that tournament and you don’t, we should know that he listens and answers our prayers but maybe not in the way you intended it to be.
The scripture taught me that i should follow him with every instruction he gives me and trust that those instructions will help me. I try to follow him with every step that i take also i trust that he is watching me very step so i make the right desitions on the right path that he has set out for me. God loves me so much that he thinks about me all the time and not only me but every one else in the whole world because if he didnt i wouldn’t be here right now. I can take of the smallest things that i have but the biggest thing i take with me is my trust.
Jesus wants us to act like the Apostles. He will always love us no matter if we make mistakes or not. He always has a plan. All we have to do is pray to the Holy Spirit every day and ask for guidence.
I can take away from this scripture passage that I need to have more faith in God because he will always be there for me no matter what it is and I also need to have more faith in him and others because they will guide me to heaven and that is the destination for all of us.
What I took away from todays scripture was that if Jesus tells us to do something and we don’t want to we need to trust him and do it because we might regret not doing it in the future.
I think that God is trying to tell us that we need to stop being so materialistic. Our generation needs to stop caring about material things, and give them all away like the Apostles did. Once we get rid of the materialistic things that are keeping us away from God, we will be able to drive away unclean spirits and spread the word of God to everyone just like the Apostles did. I think that God is also telling us that we need to trust him, and that even though it might seem impossible, he loves us and will help us be our very best.
We need to fully trust in God because he knows what is right for us because he created us.
In this scripture Jesus is casting out demons and anoiting the sick. This was passed down my priest and Bishops. As life goes on this will forever be going on.
I can’t really read this and get much of a meaning from this. When I do read it, all I see and feel are just empty words plastered on a grey backround in times new roman. There is a clear message though, “Treat one with respect, and you shall be respected. But, treat one with disrespect, the punishment you recieve will be magnified greatly.” I don’t see any connection with repentance, other than the one line were Jesus says to preach repentance. I also feel like these scripture reflections keep on getting lower and lower in quality. I used to enjoy reading the scriptures and their reflections every thursday for class, but now it’s just too hard to read past the quoted piece. They feel grey and lifeless. Even the in-class lectures are getting dull and meaningless. I do not hear the words of God through your voice, I hear mumbling and opaque words, blocking out their real meanings. I know you have the ability to preach the gospel to us in a very meaningful manner, capturing our minds in a blissful existence of love with God, but I think I speak for a majority of students here when I say that the meanings of your lessons are being lost in your class. It isn’t about becoming a better person with God through chastity, grace, and virtue, it’s another digital value on PowerSchool. Another hurdle for us seventh and eight graders to deal with. In summary, today’s scripture’s meaning and the reflection’s meaning are different, the lessons aren’t touching our hearts, and this class is not reveared as much as I believe it should be. Thank you for listening, and God bless!
I can take this to mean that we don’t need special stuff to be evangilists. We can just preach as is. You don’t have to be told by God, ‘hey, I want you to go preach to these guys.’ You can just do it.
I think it means God wants us to go around and preach the word of God and bring more people to the Catholic faith.
You DONT need things and objescts in life. As with the Apostles they weren’t allowed to bring things and obects with them. But they had God around them guiding them. We can also call to God to watch over us even during hard times. Because God is forgiving to all.
i can apply this to my life by listening to what God has to tell me. Even if i think i can don it.
This showed me that God has given me evething I need know I just need to use that instead of taking it for granted and not caring. He has given me verthing and yet we all think its nothing because we dont have what we want.
What I think Jesus is telling us is that we can never forget about him. If we forget about him we will regret it when we need him the most.
In this Gospel Jesus is telling his Apostles to not take anything with them. He says to stay at one’s house until they leave. If someone would not let them Jesus said to shake it off. I can imply this on my life by trusting God to lead the way for me.
Jesus tells us in todays scripture passage to put your faith and trust in him, if we do this good things will happen. He annointed the sick and drove out demons to those who put their faith in God. He put his faith in us to glorify him by dying on the cross so let us repent and put more and more faith in God each and every day.
In this Scripture pasage it tells us that Jesus knows whats best and that when he commands and you obbey good things can come of it. I can apply this to my life by telling the truth and not lie and if you do what your parents ask you to do good things can come of it and if you don’t obbey you can get in trouble and many bad things can happen.
We need to take time away from our day to pray to the Father, even if that means that we have to sacrifice. If we don’t pray, we won’t hear our calling to our vocation, or at least as easily as we could if we prayed.
I like how there is lots of examples of miracles in this world today we just have to look for them.
I can apply this to my life by trusting God and waht he has planed for me. Just like Jesus told his aposles to go and spread the word with no money, mo water, and no clothes. I should trust in God that he will protect me even if im in danger.
This scrpiture is telling me to not always depend on physical objects because in heaven there are much better things. He is also telling me that i might have the power to do great deeds on Earth.
I can apply this to my life by trusting God and waht he has planed for me. Just like Jesus told his aposles to go and spread the word with no money, no water, and no clothes. I should trust in God that he will protect me even if im in danger.
What stood out to me in today’s Gospel is that Christ is always by our sides. In the scripture, Jesus tells the Twelve to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick – no food, no sack, no money in their belts. God will be bide their side and will help guide them. We need to learn to put all of our trust in God and have no fears and KNOW that Christ is always with us and by our sides.
What i get from this is that we are like the twelve disciples. We are like them because we are called to spread the gospel just like they did,and if theyshut us out and say they dont care about Jesus or the Gospel then we cant just stop speading the Gospel becuase if we eventually tell them enough or pray for a miracle to happen then they could be saved.
I can apply this scripture to my life by asking God for forgiveness no matter how big or small the sin is I can still ask him for forgiveness. I can also trust in God more often in my life.
Today in the Gospel, Jesus sends his twelve Apostles out to cure the sick and gives them authority over unclean spirits. Jesus sends them with only a walking stick. No food or money. I think that one thing Jesus is telling me, is to be humble in everything I do. In our world today, we have the feeling to want more, but Jesus tells us the opposite of that. I can apply this to my life by being more humble in everything I do.
I think this reading has many meanings but I really wanted to talk about one in particular. It is about how we as Catholics cannot get to Heaven on our own. We rely on our relationships with others and we succeed with their guidance. So no matter how good you are at sports or school, you have to remeber that Jesus didn’t convert 2.4 billion people alone. He had many others besides the 12 he directly granted authority to. Without the many people evangilizing everyday the world would be a different place. So if you were to take anything from this reading it is that teamwork makes getting to heaven much easier.
In this Gospel it shows we dont need earthly things. They went out and preached with nothing beside the close on their backs. It also shows we cant make it to heaven without the word of the Lord. It says they repented, the closest people to Jesus saws their flaws and knew that they were far from perfect. We need to spread the Gospel and go back to God.
This shows me that if you trust in God good will happen and now that covid is still going we all need to trust in God more than ever so we can leave this pandemic behind and make sunday mass more exesible to every one.
In this Gospel message, we are told to preach the Good News. Jesus wants us to go out and love, to show example of what it’s like to be a Christian. Our job is to convert or turn as many people to God as we can. To carry as many people as we can to Heaven with us. But we can’t do that by dragging others to Jesus. They have to willingly take our hand and let us lead them to Him. That’s why Jesus says to shake the dust off your sandals and leave if someone doesn’t listen to or accept Christ. Now, that doesn’t mean to just give up on them and let them die in their unbelief. This means we have to continue to gently prod them to listen. To speak to them in small ways about Jesus, before we hit them with the full blast of the resurrection. So here’s my point today, in this relfection: Just like we can’t force love on someone, so too can we not force God on someone. We are put on this earth to guide others to Christ, not turn them into robots. That’s not love. God is love and He knows every single hair on our head. A GOD knows and loves us!
To me this scripture is telling me that we don’t need much to survive. Jesus told the apostles to not bring anything but a walking stick and shoes, thats it. He told them to not bring money, no food and no sack. And yet the apostles still survived. So this scripture is saying that all we need to survive is to believe in Jesus and to never give up on Him.
I feel like god chose those 12 people for a reason i think to myself how cool it would have been to be one of those 12
This scripture reminded me that we should trust in God more. We should stay away from materialistic things and spread the Word of God. Even though we know this, we still don’t stay away from electronics etc. We should give God all of our trust and have him guide us.
i can apply this to my life so i can trust God more and learn whats he calling me for
I think what this means is that we need nothing but God. We should only depend on him and have faith.
This remined me to trust in God more. We need to start paying more attention to Him as well. I need to start listenting to him more.
I think that it is telling us that we should always listen to God and do anything and everything that he tells us to do. He is always right and never wrong so that is why we need to listen to Him.
This is teaching us that we have to work for the good and we cant just find it on our way, we have to go out of our way to find the good.
In today’s scripture I got that Jesus speaks the word of God for a reason. Everything we see on social media is probably not true. Nowadays everyone on social media beliefs in everything. Jesus speaks for a reason he knows what he’s talking about. Jesus speaks for us to try to tell us that he loves us no matter what we do.
Jesus told the disciples to not take a bunch of stuff with them while preaching; showing them that he will provide. I am inspired on how the apostles just went with it without asking questions.
I think this means that we should spread the word of God and share his teachings. We need to help others get to Heaven too. By spreading his words and telling others about his love, so we can all get each other to Heaven.
Today this gospel is telling us to follow his words, his voice and his soul. To follow his path to Heaven that he make for us. Jesus wants us to trust that his path to Heaven will be a hard one and along one. But just like the diciples they never gave even if they wanted to. They tryed there very best to follow God’s path to Heaven. Some of them failed and some of them make it. So God knows who will fail and who will make it but no matter where you are going to go we all need to trust in God.
I think that God through this Gospel passage, is trying to tell me to not take things for granted. Jesus instructed the 12 disciples to go out with no, food, no water, and no money. We take what we have for granted and forget to thank God for what we have, because we are to cought up in bragging to other people about what we got, and telling them that what we have is better than their’s. So, we just have to take a minute to appreciate how lucky we are.
Today’s Gospel is telling us that to love and preach Christ, we first have to give up our mortal things to him. Now God isn’t telling us to throw everything away, like our phones, our homes, our TV’s etc. He’s telling us to not have attachments to them. He’s telling us that we shouldn’t let them get in between us and God. He is saying that when we need to make a choice between our worldly things and our heavenly things, we should be willing to give up the worldly things so we can achieve the heavenly things
What I took from the gospel today is that we need to trust him and he will guid us if we just trust him and beleive in him. He could also lead us in the right way and clean our spirit so we are clean.
In this world we are often ordered to do things, or is the one is is ordering. Jesus however is a humble person, of course we know that. But the one thing that caught my attention is how the twelve Apostles can cast out demons just by Jesus’ permission. We may be told to do things but God gave us free will. These Apostles are doing the will of God, we must be like Him to follow in His footsteps.
I can put this into my life because it showed me how much Jesus did for his followers
This can go into my life because it shows me how much Jesus loves his followers.
Todays Gospel is telling me that we can do anything we want to do . If someone accepts your thought or yout opinion then that person is a great and honest person. If they dont accept you dont worry there will always be at least one person who accepts you so just keep trying and trying and trying
i think this is telling me not to take so much for granted and give stuff up because we take so much for granted and that wrong so we should not take stuff for granted and also He loves us so very much and also he is very dedicated to us jesus is so kind and helpful He has done so much for us and yea
I believe that God might be calling us to do something that might be hard to do. But if that is the case, I believe that He will always be by us for what we are called to do.
Today’s Gospel is telling me that whenever we ask Jesus for something he will always try to make it come true, you should always know that Jesus is right there with you whenever you need help, Jesus loves us and we should love him to.
I think this is saying that God will always be there for us and believe in us. No matter if we want Him to or not. He believed in the aposltes and made them His fishers of men. Now they are examples to us about our we should act and how to be dispiles of Christ.
This is one of my favorite storys that we have done so far. Mainly because of the fact that the twelve had split up and gained so many Christians that way. So overall this is probably my favorite story. There is just alot of stuff that I like about
it.
I can relate to this by showing repentance to others and sometimes even myself. God blessed us with so many gifts and talents, so we should use those talents, because everyone has a uniqe thing about them and we need to take that in and do something about it.
I can apply this to my life by puting all our trust in Jesus and just be faithfull to him even in tough times in our lives
I think Jesus is telling me in the gospel today is that he is preparing us to go out into the world, to preach the good news and be living exaples of Christ. He is telling me that, I am giving you these tools, to help others live for me and know me, and for you to know me and love me and get to know me better. “they went out and preaced repentance” the Apostles went out into the world, and taught that GOd Is Love, God is Alive, God is Forgivness, and we need to do this to, not neccesarily always in words, but in our actions and thoughts towards others, to be examples of holiness.
What stood out to me was the fact that from the day this story took place all the way to now Jesus let other people have the ability to do things that only He could do like driving out demons. Jesus knew that He wasn’t going to be on this earth forever so He allowed others to do these things when He was gone for us.
This is saying that we have everything we need in life and that we dosnt need all this exstra stuff in life because God has given us everything we need to know and use in life and that if we ever see a person in need that we should help them because its the right things to do.
Today’s Gospel is telling us to to preach the word of God. Some people, like preists and Bishops, dedicated their whole lives to preaching the word. But most people don’t have religious vows. All people are called to be missionaries. And this Gospel is a good example of how we can do that. Jesus tells his Apostles to take nothing and go and preach. Likewise, Jesus is telling us to go out and preach the Gospel.
What the scriptures are telling me today is that Jesus can grant normal people amazing power. He gives you permission to do something, and you can do it. If He can let someone use power that’s THAT GREAT, imagine what else He can do Himself! A good example of this is when He saved all people (past present and future) from it’s sins two thousand years ago by dying and coming back to life. That’s just amazing.
Jesus told the deciples to take nothing. Nothing at all and go into random starangers houses and preach and clean all of the demon spirit. He is sending the message for us to give everythinh up for God and preach to anyone and everyone. He wants us to preach. Spread the word. He summoned us into the world for a reason. To preach. To be faithful. To trust Him enough that you will give up everything for him. So take nothing. Believe in God and Jesus and get rid of the impulse to sin.
Jesus is trying to tell us in the reading that no matter what people tell yo. No matter what people say about what you believe in. Just preach the name of God. Go out and preach his name.
I think this Gospel is saying to not take anything for granted.Jesus sent his disciples out in groups of to with absolutely nothing. The obeyed him.God always knows whats right and wrong,if we listen to him and obey what he tells us to do we will have a good relationship with him. God has a plan for us and he knows what is gonna have in our lives. We have to trust in him and know that he has and makes the best decisions for us.We have to keep following his path and someday we will be with him.
I think that in this Scripture Jesus is telling us to listen to him and not to repent against him. He tells his Twelve Apostles to take nothing along with them during their trip. When they did this, they helped many people Cast out their demons. I think that the Holy Spirit was beside them when they were doing this because they obeyed Jesus. I just think that Jesus is so powerful all he needs to do is tell you to go do something and he would help you without even being there. Another thing I think this means is that Tiny things like obeying Jesus can do big things like casting out demons
To me this gospel is a reminder that Jesus made us. He did not make us to be popular, not to be good at math, or good at playing sports, or any other thing that is useless in our journeys to get to Heaven. But He made us to spread His word. He created us so that we could one day end up next to Him in Heaven. He gave twelve special people, who were just like us, the power to share the Word of the Lord with others, so we can do it too. Some of us already are doing our share of preaching and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. More than half of us probably aren’t.
We really don’t take any time out of our day to pray and we are caught up in everying in the world today and then we forget to pray to God. And we should take more time to pray in the day.
Lets take another trip down memory lane. When your a Pokemon trainer, what are the three things you need? A Pokemon, Clothes, and food. Basically what Jesus said on the path to heaven. As a trainer, you have to go through many difficulties and paths, whether a desert is storm raging, a giant rock in your way, or another person needs help. Wow, why is that so similar to what Christ says? As a Catholic, you have to go through sin and choices, staying Catholic, overcoming lust, and one of your friends needs help getting to heaven.
we need to be humble and ask for help
