“AGAIN THE CROWD GATHERED,MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM EVEN TO EAT.” MK 3:20-21

Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Has anyone ever told you this before, “You are out of your mind!”  It usually takes place when you are taking a risk and depending on faith.  It usually does not make complete sense and is on the radical side.  This defines believing.  Risk, faith, radical love, finding out what is on the other side of fear, and it reaches beyond reason.  Jesus has crowds gather so big that He and his disciples cannot even eat.  May we bring such crowds in droves to Jesus by our witness to Him, our joy in following Him, and doing things that make us look like we are “out of our minds”.

Jesus teaches us the power of the holy Spirit (God) has power over demons and Satan. The everlasting sin is saying Satan has power over the holy Spirit (God) which is false. Jesus gives us the power of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. When we are baptized we receive the Holy Spirit.  We have God in us!!!!

At the Ascension, Jesus said He must go so that the Holy Spirit could be with us. The Holy Spirit is the love of the Father and the Son and remains with us and in us until Christ returns. We receive the same Holy Spirit as the Apostles, St. Francis, and Pope Francis. The Holy Spirit is living in us just like it did the Apostles. This is a profound power within us. What are you going to do with it?

Take time to look at the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. We each have spiritual gifts like we do physical talents. They are called the charisms of the Spirit. The Devil will never prevail against the Church doors according to Jesus Christ because of the Holy Spirit. Not because the Holy Spirit is on defense, but because the Holy Spirit is on offense and working to unite the people of the world all of the time.

May we call the Holy Spirit upon us each day saying, “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love, send forth your spirit and they shall be created and you shall renew the face of the earth.”

Today’s challenge: Pray to the Holy Spirit every day asking for guidance.  In temptation or danger, one of the best prayers is “Come, Holy Spirit”.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you before you sit down to read the Scriptures.  Ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be increased in you so you may do the Father’s Will and see the fruits of the Spirit in your life. Put “Come, Holy Spirit” in your mirror so you read it every morning to make it a habit to call on the Holy Spirit all throughout your day!

Take a risk in your spiritual life.  Start praying everyday, reading a spiritual book, repent and change a sinful habit, form a radical love for Jesus until others are telling you that you are out of your mind.

Be a servant, be a saint today!
