Jesus once again heals in today’s Gospel, but I would like to focus today on the response of the healed leper. God infinitely has mercy on those who repent and are truly sorry. The ten lepers asked for mercy and were healed physically and spiritually. Being a leper outside of town and an outcast, I imagine they did not have much hope in their lives. Then they see hope, Jesus, and ask for help. Here is the kicker, only one leper returns and throws himself at the feet of Jesus.
God always forgives and gives us grace, but what do we do in return for these great gifts? We would have no chance for heaven without God’s grace, love, and mercy. What will you do today to thank God for what He does for you? He deserves our best and more!
