Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Beloved:
We did not follow cleverly devised myths
when we made known to you
the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but we had been eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received honor and glory from God the Father
when that unique declaration came to him from the majestic glory,
“This is my Son, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
We ourselves heard this voice come from heaven
while we were with him on the holy mountain.
Moreover, we possess the prophetic message that is altogether reliable.
You will do well to be attentive to it,
as to a lamp shining in a dark place,
until day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 2 PT 1:16-19
Jesus took Peter, John, and James
and went up the mountain to pray.
While he was praying his face changed in appearance
and his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah,
who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus
that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem.
Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep,
but becoming fully awake,
they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.
As they were about to part from him, Peter said to Jesus,
“Master, it is good that we are here;
let us make three tents,
one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
But he did not know what he was saying.
While he was still speaking,
a cloud came and cast a shadow over them,
and they became frightened when they entered the cloud.
Then from the cloud came a voice that said,
“This is my chosen Son; listen to him.”
After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone.
They fell silent and did not at that time
tell anyone what they had seen. Lk 9:28-36
Today, the Transfiguration takes place and Moses represents the Law and Elijah the prophets from the Old Testament. Jesus is the One the whole Bible revolves around as the Messiah who came to fulfill the Law and the prophets. This is a foreshadowing of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ, the Savior of the world, King of the Universe. It is so important that God the Father speaks again, “This is my chosen Son; listen to him.” He says “This is my beloved Son of whom I am well pleased at Christ’s baptism.” As we strive to imitate Christ, our lives, starting at Baptism are to be transfigured, transformed, changed to die to self and put on Christ. We are called to carry our daily crosses and offer them up with Christ’s suffering. Then, we are to live in service to others and help them transform themselves. This is our Christian identity.
Today, we regain insight and hope from this Good News. In your prayer today, start with the Words of the Father, your Creator, “You are my beloved son/daughter”. We are adopted sons/daughters of God, through Jesus Christ, in Baptism. So, we are God’s sons and daughters. When we realize this and really meditate on it we live with dignity, not cocky, but humble, not better than anyone but as good as anyone and have a great image of ourselves. Accept who you were created to be and stop trying to please everyone else or what the TV and magazines make you think you should be. God had a very specific design for you. Get to know God and you will get to know yourself. By loving God, you will love who you were created to be. His greatest desire is for you to allow Him to love you, accept who you are, and transform the world right where you are. We only have 70-80 years if we’re lucky, don’t waste any time. Buy in and see what God has to offer you, He promises a lot. He wants to give it all to you. Let go and let God. The rewards are eternal.
Today’s challenge: Realize who you were created to be by talking to God in prayer, have a heart to heart with your Savior and Creator. Transform the world by transforming yourself through God’s grace.
Be a servant, become a saint!

I’m not exactly sure what this gospel means, but somethings speaks to me. We should always follow God’s orders. Sometimes what we think we want we really don’t want.
A phrase that stuck out to my was While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white. I like this verse because it just show how great Jesus is and how saved us. Jesus looked so nice in the sky that peter had to make a three alters for the men in the sky.
I thought that God was trying to say that if you follow Jesus he will show you the way to heaven. You must have faith in Jesus and the father. If you do this you will be closer to him than ever before.
What stood out to me was, “You are my beloved son/daughter”. It stood out to me because we are all children of God. We are all created by God our Father. We are loved so much and He always forgives us after we sin unless we have to go to confession and then he forgives sins.
I feel like this scripture reflection showed the true miracle of prayer. It says “We ourselves heard this voice come from heaven
while we were with him on the holy mountain.” They heard God themselves. They met the person who created us. The one who sent his only son for us because he loves us so much. And that’s incredible. It’s crazy what you can do with the Lord.
What the scripture is saying to me is that we should try to be the best we can be. We should also not try to be better than we want to be.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that we are God’s sons and daughters, so we should believe in him and obey him. I think it is also trying to tell us to not compare ourselves to other people because we were created in God’s image and likeness. The more we love God, the more we will be happy with the person we were created to be.
Today’s scripture is very meaningful. The main meaning I got from this scripture today is that God loved us, each and every one of us that he died for us. Even if we were ever the only one created he loved us so much he would die for one just so we could rejoice with him. Can you even imagine? God is so amazing, but we still have so many distractions we don’t even realize how in love he is with us. He died for us and all he gets is a slap on the face when you turn him down. We are in lent, I try to advise you to pray to him telling how much you are in love with him.
I think this scripture means that we all have to make sacrifices. God trust us to be holy. The way I see it is if you make a promise you have to keep that promise
In today’s gospel Jesus is telling us that we need to be able to see him, because we are blind. In today’s gospel it says about Peter “But he did not know what he was saying.” Jesus was showing his Apostles his divine form, and still they cannot understand, Jesus is asking us to try to know what we are saying, and to believe in him while understanding who he is.
Jesus is getting ready to fulfill the scriptures. He becomes a divine version of himself in front of Peter and his companions and now they wish to bow down and make three tents for Jesus, Moses and Elijah who appeared next to Jesus. Will you be like that? Will you want to bow down to the prophets and God and make way for them. The apostles did. His closes friends did. So we should too. God is pleased with Jesus so we should lay down our tents and prepare for the fulfillment.
Nothing is impossible for God. He can do what ever he wants with the power that he holds. With that power He let us have free will.
This is obviously saying that Jesus is the true God and true king and is indeed not a myth. He is the one to rule over us all, not a false god that created from the mind of philosphers.
I think that this Gospel reading is basically God laying out the obvious truth. Jesus is the Son of God, and he is our Savior. A normal man wouldn’t go up to the top of a mountain and turn dazzlingly white and appear next to Moses and Elijah. Only God would and could do that. God makes it so apparent to everyone that Jesus is God, that we have to be plainly ignorant to not notice it. The real question is, why don’t we give up everything and follow him? The answer to this is different for everyone but I think a very common answer is that there is something in this world that we want too much to give up. This is a horrible way to think about life and we need to know that the prize of Heaven is a thousand times better than power, pleasure, money, or fame. God is telling us all of this, so we need to listen and do what he says.
Jesus is truly the Son of God. He is revealing himself to his disciples. he reveals himself in the Eucharist each day. God is around us all the time. He is revealed to us in the sacraments. Jesus is the Son of God.
I think this scripture is telling us that we must carry our cross throughout life just like Jesus did to reach eternal life in Heaven. God never said it would be easy. Even in hard times we must remember God and remember who created us and what he created us for.
Jesus was revealing the fact that He is truly the Son of God to his disciples. Prayer is necessary in our lives and Jesus also showed that to His disciples.
Jesus is showing us that he is God. The proof is there right in front of us. “We did not follow cleverly devised myths.” They are not making this up when showing us the Lord. We have to change our life to become more like Him. Jesus will show us the path to eternal life, it’s up to us to make that decision.
I think that the Scripture is saying that we need to listen to God always event Moses at first doubted God at first when God told Moses to go and free the Israelites.
This scripture talks about when Jesus was transfigured by the holy spirit.
The phrase that stuck out to me was, “They fell silent and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen.” I find it incredible that they were able to keep their mouths shut about this. When I imagine myself in the apostle’s shoes, I know that I would probably tell every person I saw that day.
Soon Jesus will fullfill the scriptures and we need to be grateful for it. Many people do not realize and appreciate what Jesus did or what great sacrafice God made for us.
Jesus reveals Himself to the disciples so they could better understand Jesus.
Jesus reveals Himself to us all the time. We sometimes forget but He shows Himself in the sacraments.
I think scripture is saying that we should honor and glory God no matter what. Even in our lowest times He is always there for us. Jesus was and still is our light to heaven.
Today in scripture God announces that Jesus is his son and he is pleased with him. We are also Gods son. God adopted us. God being our adopted father doesn’t make him less of a father. It almost makes him more of a father because he chose to be with you.
Today, Jesus transformed before the eyes of the apostles who he is closest too. He shows them his true glory, the glory that we will only receive in the Kingdom of Heaven
This Scripture for me took a while to understand. In the end all I could make of it was that God doesn’t always make things perfectly clear to us, because He wants to know we really care enough to look for it. Something that made me think this was when He said, “You will do well to be attentive to it.” What He wants us to be attentive to isn’t really made clear, but to me it means to be attentive to the way we are supposed to live. I try to live as if Jesus is looking right over your shoulder, watching your every move, because He is. I try to act the way I want Jesus to see me on judgement day. To live like this, I need to use Jesus’s life as an example. That’s what I think we need to be attentive to.
In today’s Scripture passage, Jesus transforms into white clothing and a voice come down from the sky saying, “This is my chosen Son; listen to him.” This is obviously God saying that we need to follow Jesus and try to do what is right. It is hard to do what is right sometimes but the more we strive to do what is good the better we can at choosing good over evil more often.
We should try and be better people for our own good and for everyone around us. We should listen to God more than we normally do.
He was revealing that he is truly the son of God. And he shows himself every Sunday while we are having the holy sacrifice of the mass.
He was revealing that he is truly the son of God. And he shows himself every Sunday while we are having the holy sacrifice of the mass..
Jesus is magnificent. However, we still doubt him. Even his disciples did so as well. We have to remember that Jesus does not need materialistic things, but for us to obey him, because that’s enough for him.
“You will do well to be attentive to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place,” today’s scripture tells us that when you look for Him, Jesus stands out to us like a light in the darkness. Jesus is the light in a dark place, guiding us to where we need to be.
This scripture is telling us that Jesus can do anything. Jesus appeared with dazzling white garments in front of elijah and moses, this is showing that God is no regular person for hes is Christ our savior and we need to follow him.
This Gospel is telling us that Jesus can do anything. Jesus appeared in front of elijah and moses wearing white dazzling garments. This shows that we need to follow Jesus for he is the son of God!
In the passage I think that God is showing us that we are his sons and daughters and we should pray and try to live our best lives today. Because we know that God is guiding our lives to the right place (Heaven) in the end.
The Transfiguration is God revealing his true self to us. Like when he does in Holy Communion.
The Transfiguration is God revealing Himself to us. Like when he does in Holy Communion
This scripture is telling me to open my eyes and ears. Jesus is fulfilling the scriptures and we need to pay attention. Jesus made himself fully divine in front of Peter, John, and James. Jesus is also doing this in the mass.
Our Religion is based solely on faith. We do not know 100% that God is real, we believe 100% that he is and sometimes we have our doubts because of the devil and other worldly things, however faith in him is stronger than faith in anything else.
In this Gospel Jesus is telling us about the Transfiguration. The Transfiguration is where Jesus become fully alive and the water turns into blood. This happens in the Mass which is the best part of prayer.
God is revealing Himself and His one and only Son who he made man and brought down to earth to teach us and die for us. Though everything he has done for us, why do we still doubt in him? Jesus was carrying the cross why did he fall 3 times though he had God to help him. Jesus fell that many times because our sins was a burden to carry we sinned so much that it was even that hard for Jesus to carry without falling. We need to learn from our mistakes, and trust in God more.
What I think this Gospel is saying is that we need to follow Jesus. I think people in this world right now follow what their phone says more than what the Bible says. I think God is trying to tell us is that if we are one of the people we need to open a Bible and listen to Him and His Son.
Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here” it is good that we are here that is the best saying for being with God. it feels good to be with him, it feels great to be in the presence of someone you love.
This is the point in the bible where I feel the apostles finally realized the Jesus is in fact God. Where is the moment in your life where you finally realizes that Jesus is God. That is the most important moment in your life.
“While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white.” Was the phrase that stuck out for me. He went through a change in prayer that could only be God’s doing. He revealed his divine nature to us in the Transfiguration. “This is my Son, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.” God shows His delight in Jesus’ work and the disciples hear Him speak. This event is only possible through God. Jesus showed us that He is human and divine.

For this one, I’m not sure what to say. I mean it’s the Transfiguration, isn’t that all that needs to be said?
This scripture is telling us how God is divine in himself and in the eucharist.
We are all blind as humans, and we need Jesus to be able to see clearly. The devil puts a veil over our eyes, so that when we sin or see something we try and justify is as ok.
God wants us to listen to Jesus because He is a perfect model of how we should live our lives. After baptism, we should change and follow God’s will even if we die for it.
This is telling us how God became man. How He came down to Heaven and saved us all. He is the almighty one who died on the cross for us.
In Todays Scripture God is telling to act like Jesus and to follow him. To be Christ like and to help the ones that need help, respect the ones the treat us with care and to treat them with care.
We don’t know that he is fully real because we haven’t seen him but we believe in him because their are good and bad things in this world. These things just didn’t just randomly happen they happened because God happened.
Today’s Scripture passage is saying that we should accept ourselves as God has made us. God loves us for who we are because He had created us in His own image and likeness. We should be thankful and reflect on what God has given us. We are only here around 70-80 years, so we should make the best of it with our Heavenly Father and share the Good News of God.
The Transfiguration is where Jesus become fully alive and the water turns into blood. This happens in the Mass which is the best part of prayer.
I think that todays scripture passage is telling us that God is not affraid to let known his followers and that is showing that even thought that you do what God wants does not mean that He will do what you want Him to do. Jesus in this scripture is getting pleased by His father and he is saying this is my Son in which I am well pleased.
What the scripture is telling me is to always believe and love Jesus for he is trying to get us into heaven. And He is trying to lead us into the path by teaching us to pray and when we go to Holy Mass on Sunday.
“You are my beloved son/daughter”. This is reminding us that we are all children of God and that he loves us all no matter what we do. No matter what the sin is big or small.
The Transfiguration is when Jesus became fully man and the water turns to blood and the bread turns to body. This is the best part of the Mass.
We are all children of God no matter what. The only real race is the human race and God loves us all equally. He will never stop. Jesus is fulfilling the scriptures. He also makes himself present during the mass just as he did with the apostles.
The transfiguration to me is much more than something we talk about in school and we have to learn and memorize. To me it means that God is looking out to us and is trying to talk to us but sometimes we are just to blind to see it.
I think that this Gospel is saying to believe and spread the word of God. Just because we can’t physically see that the body and blood of Christ is really Him, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t believe. We have to have faith if we want to go to Heaven.
Today Jesus shows us the Transfiguration. He shows us Moses, who brought us the ten commandments, and Elijah, who was a Great Prophet. As we draw near to Easter Jesus is revealing more of himself then ever before. Help us to try to pay attention to this great mystery.
I believe that in this scripture Jesus is telling Peter that he must listen and be quiet so that he must see what the meeting is truly about.
Why do we ignore the things that He says to us? He is our Lord and our Teacher. Why, then, do we ignore him and his wishes for us, and instead listen to the whispers of the devil? The greatest enemy of humankind is not other countries, other beliefs, but WANT. We WANT so many things, and satan USES that. Keep yourself away from want, and you will keep satan away from yourself.
In todays Scripture this passage really caught my attention. You will do well to be attentive to it,as to a lamp shining in a dark place, Jesus is that lamp! Your faith is that lamp! Let it shine bright with in you, so you can share the words of Jesus.
We did not follow cleverly devised myths. God is not a myth he is real and thats why we follow him thats why we love him because God is a real person who loves us so dearly that he sent his only son Jesus to die for us.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that when God created us he had us all planned out. Accepting who we are is appreciating God’s work. Our vocation call is the plan God has for us, it will help us get to heaven. People often trying to force themselves to be like other people for popularity, but this isn’t what God wants us to do, he wants us to be ourselves.
