Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” So Jesus addressed this parable to them.
“What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert
and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And when he does find it,
he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home,
he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
I tell you, in just the same way
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people
who have no need of repentance.
“Or what woman having ten coins and losing one
would not light a lamp and sweep the house,
searching carefully until she finds it?
And when she does find it,
she calls together her friends and neighbors
and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’
In just the same way, I tell you,
there will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents.” LK 15:1-10
Today, Jesus teaches us that God is not very economical (Bishop Barron). His grace can’t be earned, its a gift and He can use it how He wants. How does a sinner receive this grace? Allowing Jesus into your boat, recognizing our sinfulness, humbly approaching the One who is love, mercy, and justice. As Bishop Barron says, “The Gospel is about detachment”. We are called to repent and change our lives by looking at life in a completely different way. We are called to be holy. Do we desire holiness? One who takes steps to stop the sin by coming to God’s mercy until the sin is no longer a part of their life. This may also require medicine, doctors, and counselors with God’s grace in confession. The opposite is the one who thinks they never sin or tries to rationalize their sin and does not reconcile themselves with God. One who does not desire holiness.
Catholic Culture.org defines repentance as “Voluntary sorrow because it offends God, for having done something wrong, together with the resolve to amend one’s conduct by taking the necessary means to avoid the occasions of sin. To repent is to be sorry for sin with self-condemnation.” In the act of contrition, we pray to “avoid the near occasion of sin”. Often times we forget this once we get back into the routine of life. Habits are important to pay attention to. We may need to change a routine we are in, a place we go, people we hang out with, or today an electronic device we use too much.
God gave us life as a gift out of love, our identity is in Him. When we celebrate all saint’s day and all soul’s day, we learn that we are made to see God face to face at the end of our journey through the death and resurrection of Christ in baptism. We have a high calling. We must learn to “avoid the near occasion of sin” by forming ourselves through discipline and daily habits that lead us to God not away from Him. We are called to rise above with God’s grace and cooperating with His Will. Our souls, our being, is a precious gift from God and He wills for us to come back to Him. He calls us to make our will His Will to return His love. Pope Francis says, “God never tires of giving mercy, we tire of asking for it.” Repent, you have an entire heaven full of angels and saints waiting to rejoice!
Most importantly, God’s one desire is your friendship. He sent His only Son to die for it. God wants a relationship with you. Our sin is a failure in relationships. We are made for relationships. Our sin stems from a failure in our relationship with God, our own flesh, or another person. When we sin we fail in one of these relationships. Think about who you are hurting next time you are about sin. We all need to learn and practice forgiveness because we will certainly fail in our relationships. They are difficult. With God’s grace and love transforming us, we too can share this love to build healthy relationships with others.
Today’s challenge: Repent. Baby steps start one day at a time and come to God’s grace in the Eucharist and confession daily if needed. The saints often came to these two sacraments daily.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Jesus will forgive us for all of our sins and loves all of us.
Jesus loves us and he will save us from sin. If we stray away he finds us and brings us back he wants to have us all in heaven he wants us to be with him weather we sin or not we wants to bring us back.
In this scripture we hear about how Jesus would leave 99 sheep to go find that 1 that was lost. After he found it he would call over his friends and family and rejoice because he had found his lost sheep. In this way there will be rejoicing in Heaven when a sinner repents but much greater. Jesus wants a relationship with us and He wants us to get to know Him and run to Him in times of sorrow or temptation.
God cares about all of us individually and desires our hearts. We might be lost in our hearts but he will go out of his way and bring us back to him. Jesus has a personal relationship with us. That is why he is the Good Shepard. It is because he cares about each of his sheep. He will bring us back to the flock when we are lost because he cares about us individually.
In my opinin, this reinforces our trust in God because he tells us that he won’t give up on us, no matter how far away from him we go.
*opinion
Jesus welcomes everyone even sinners. The people that don’t join believe that Jesus should not eat with the sinners. Jesus will go after you to get you if you are lost on the track to heaven.
We must search very carefully for Jesus and holiness. We can’t ever give up, so we can be with Him for eternity.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving people who have hurt me, and also I can think about others before myself.
Jesus loved to party. You probably didn’t think that, but if you look more into the Gospel, when doesn’t he party? To find a sheep and party because you found it, that’s like saying God found us like the prodigal son and wants to celebrate. To find a coin in which you needed to pay for the latest game, you buy it, wouldn’t you not celebrate because you got the game? Forgiveness is a partying thing. At your first confession, you probably have gone somewhere to celebrate it. In the same way, a person who repents their sins to God and goes into heaven will be a party worth it in heaven.
God Bless,
David Hinson
This means if we were the lost “sheep” Jesus would come looking for us even though he had most of the “sheep” so he has to have everyone with him before he keeps going. So no matter what Jesus will be coming back to save us if we fall in sin, he wil come back and make us follow him again to heaven.
I can apply this to my life by being called to rise above with God’s grace and cooperating with His Will.
I can apply this to my life by remembering to include everyone and value the people in my life.
I think that this Gospel is trying to tell us that Jesus came here for the sinners. He didn’t come here for those who were already holy, he came to help evangelize those who had fled from the path of good. He ate with sinners, he did all of these things to help sinners to believe and get to heaven. Jesus wants us all to go to Heaven, and he’s trying to get us all there. He doesn’t jsut want the people who are sinless, he wants everyone.
I can apply this to my life by taking joy in the little things and by praying to God to help slowly day by day get closer to him
In today’s scripture, Jesus is talking about a shepherd looking for the lost sheep and the women looking for her lost coin. What Jesus is trying to tell us is that we need to be like the shepherd and look out for the others who might be struggling. Maybe with their faith, personal problems, or societal problems; either way, we need to be there for others and help others, like the shepherd.
We need to notice our sins. Even if it takes us many days/small steps we need to inpprove in our faith. We should be there for everyone else and teach them Gods ways.
The Scriptures tell us today that Jesus will go and seek us out. He wants to be friends with us. All He wants is to be our friend. Like the shepherd leaving his 99 sheep to go find the one that got lost, and then rejoiced once he found it. Jesus is that shepherd. He will leave the 99 to go find the one that was lost because He cares about us. All we have to do is let Him into our boat.
What i can take away from this is that we are the reason our relationships fail, its becasue of our sin. If you want your relationship to be strong you are going to need to do something that helps with your sin, maybe going to confession and go to daily mass.
Jesus loves all of us. He wants to have a good personal relationship with all of us, even the sinners. He wants the sinners to turn away from their sin and come to Him. The way He got them to do that was to spend time with them. Here on earth we are sinners and we must repent from sin and spend time talking to God and letting Him into our lives because He wants to be with us.
I think that this scripture passage is pretty uplifting, in the way that we are reminded that God still loves us even with our faults. Of course that doesn’t mean that we can keep on sinning because, “God still loves me anyway”. Just because God loves us even with our vices, that doesn’t mean that He loves us and our vices. I am guessing that it is similar to the way that a father loves his child even when that child goes against and disobeys him. The father still loves the child, just wants and encourages the child to be obedient and not go against him.
This Scriptures is talking about how if you lose something forget about what your doing and find what you lost. I can put this Scriptures in my daily life if I loss Jesus I can go back and find him.
In today’s scripture God is saying that he cares for us wholly and equally. He wouldn’t give up on us or leave us behind, just like in the parable of the lost sheep where the shephard leaves the ninety-nine to find the lost one. We are the lost sheep trying to find our way and God is there to trying to lead us into a Heaven. Jesus said there will be more joy in Heaven when one person repents and goes to Haven, than ninety-nine rightous people, Jesus wants us to succeed and repent from our sins because he knows we aren’t perfect. That’s why we should strive to be better and repent.
Take a hundred sheep, and have one run off. It seems to us a very inconvenient thing to do: come after it. But it shouldn’t. God is the shepherd that tries to find us; we’re the sheep. Now God doesn’t have to have us. He may say let them be destroyed, and it would be done. But he loves his sinners, and the man that can jump out of his sin and repent is the runner that finds himself at the end of a maze. He came to it just as we have to come to God.
If you lose sight of Jesus you can’t just forget about him. You have to find him.
The gosspel is telling us that we are all equely spesal in the eyes of God.
In this scripture is telling me that God loves me so much he would leave 99 sheep to find me the one sheep. That is love and I know he would do it and does it for everybody in the world. God also is telling us that he will still love us even if we go away but he does not like the sin we do but he still oves us. So we have to be obedient to him so he can come into our lives fully.
Today Jesus is saying no matter how bad of a person we are he will love us forever. Jesus will forgive us for anything we do the only thing that hurts him is why did we do it or what was the reason we did that for. We need to welocme him into our boat and pray and talk to him everyday and just ask for forgiveness for the things we have done. God loves us so much so we need to love him so much back.
This scripture reminds me that even if you are a sinner Jesus and all the people in heaven won’t treat you as a bad person they just want you to repent.
We must understand that Jesus will go to the ends of the earth to find and bring us to heaven. Even when we sin Jesus is there to forgive us for what we have done. He loves us that much.
Even if we sin, God still loves us. We get seperated from the other 99 and God comes to find us, one sheep. It shows no matter what we do God will always love us as his children.
In this Gospel we learn that we are all the same in Gods eyes. We shouldnt be mean to anyone no matter what because God loves all equally.
Jesus loves us individually so much that he is willing to leave everyone else just to find the lost one. I can use this in my life by leaving all of the physical things I have in life and turning to find God.
Jesus wants us to come to Heaven and live in eternal life with us, and there will be more rejoicing with you if you are a sinner and repent than if you do not repent and you are not a sinner. This shows us that even in times where we think Jesus has left us, he is simply just searching for us like the man did for his lost sheep, and the woman for her coin. He is searching for us because we have fallen away from the Church time and time again, but He always searches for and brings us back to Him. He does not leave us, we simply just need to be guided back to Him.
I can reflect on this because it tells me that when I sin not all hope is lost and that I can still go to heaven. Being righteous and following God is the best way to go to heaven, but this scripture tells me it is not the only way
Jesus leaves the 99 in search of one. We should search for Jesus, and make Him the center of our life, as He would for us.
God loves us and cares about us all indivudually. We should repent and be sorry for the things that we have done. He still loves us not matter what.
I can apply this scripture to my life by doing what Jesus did. Jesus forgives all the sinners and doesn’t stop loving them. He gives the poor shelter and he gives the hungary food. We need to be aware of others and not just ourselves.
We are all cared for individually. God will find us and he will bring us back to him. He will welcome us, even if we are sinners. He will celebrate with us when we find our way back to him. He will not give up on us no matter how much we stray away from him.
Jesus does many things. Loving and care are two things he will never stop doing, He would Leave a group of thousands just to find one. Each and every single one of us are His pride and joy. For He will love us and forgive us for what we have done.
What i took from this scripture is there is a big pile of sin and only one God in it. You have to fight your way throught the sin to get to God sometimes you will even lose some friends. But you will still go tell everyone that you have found God. But once you find God in the middle the pile is still there and you will have to keep fighting.
jesus welcomes everyone even sinners and he will forgive all of our sins.
God is our father, and like a father, He loves us. In every movie that involves a kidnapping, the parents, friends, partners, and family, drop everything they are doing to find who ever is missing. They do this because they love the person who is lost. In the same way, Jesus comes and rescues us from our sin because He loves us. Even though we sin and disobey, Jesus will always be there, just like a family member, to support and love us.
I can apply this to my life but remembering that God will always we waiting for me with open arms when I turn against him. If I’m the one lost sheep he would go looking for me, to bring me back to him.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that I am human and I make mistakes. God will still love me if I sin. I can imagine that I am that one sheep that is lost and everyone else around me is with God. God will let the other sheep go to find me. This shows that Christ cares and loves me individually. He only wants me to be in a healthy relationship with Him. His love is unconditional, but how come I can’t recipricate the love back to Him? This is why I need to pray more often and set time to be with God. Within that time frame, I can pray and repent, like how the reading says.
What i got from this scripture reflection is that Jesus is always willing to lead and go out of his way to help bring you back on the right path to grow closer to him. If we our lost pray to Jesus for his guidence so he can bring you back closer to him.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that if we get lost on our way to God he will drop everything and go find us.
We need to know that Jesus loves us and wants us to follow him, because he would go so far as to seek out one sinner in a crowd of 99 rightious people.
God is my freind and I have to learn to talk to him like he’s one of my best freinds. I need to develop a relationship with him.
What this scripture is telling me is that if you ever fall away from the Church Jesus will come and help bring you back.
This scripture tells me to welcome the bad into your heart, to hate the sin but love the sinner, and to keep all your enemies closer to you than your friends!
If we go away from God he will come and leave everyone and find you and bring you back to him.
Jesus is the shepard and we are the sheep. He loves everyone so much that he will leave all of his followers all to find the lost one. he want’s us to know how much he loves us. He will notice if one person strays away from the faith. And he will try to bring you back to it.
My take away from this scripture is Jesus doesn’t ever forget about his creation and will do anything to save us. He loves us so much he would save the one lost sheep out of the 100 sheep.
I can relate this to my everyday life by being more kind to the people who either don’t have friends or are left out of everything, just like Jesus told the stories of the coin and the sheep.
In this passage i relized that during scripture not one Holy person has truly talked down to a sinner during their days in service to God. Everyone who truly understands the scripture will repent under the view of God. This is what I think God is trying to say during this reading.
Love should always come before money. Like how the sheperd could’ve lost all of their sheep, just to find one. This would not be very often in todays world. Most people would count 99 sheep more valuable than just 1.
To me this passage is saying that god still loves us when we sin and he wants us to come back to him when we sin. He does love us even when we feal he doesnt.
in today’s scripture Jesus is talking about how the shepard lost his sheep. For us we help people with stuff. We need to look out for each other.
In this scripture passage, Jesus explains a parable about a shepard with 100 sheep. He asks if as the shepard, you would leave the 99 behind to find 1 who has been lost. I can apply this scripture passage to my life by repenting from my sin, for God is always waiting for me with open arms.
What I took away from this was that we need to recognize that God rejoices in every triumph such as fighting sin.
What i got from todays scripture is that Jesus loves us so much that he would look for us, like he looked for the sheep. whenever we sin he comes to us and helps us get to heaven.
I think that the Scripture is telling me, like the lost sheep, is that sometimes we get lost. We can fall away from the Church and stop believing. But, God is like the Shepard, coming back to us. He will always find us and lead us back to the Church. I can apply this to my life, by reading the Scriptures, praying the roasary to help me keep the faith.
We are all sinners. We sin, then we go to confrimation, then we go and sin again. We lose the meaning of reconsiliation. But for those few how acutally repent for their sins and do their absolute best to not do that same sin again are the people who will find the eternal peace we are all looking for. We need to detach from all the earthly things that we are constantly filling our lives with. We need to learn to let go and find peace in prayer with God. Whe we sin we blame other things that are not the real reason. We need to learn how to repent for blaming other things and take the blame. Taking the blame for ourselves is one of the many problems that many people never do. “This was like that so I did that and then that happened so I thought I could do that and so I did not hear you so I accidentally did this.” but that is not the real reason. So we need to learn to repent for all the times we blamed someting else for our sin and take it on as our own. Because it is ours.

I think it is saying that God would leave 99 just to find me the 1 lost sheep.
Jesus is saying that if we get lost into sin He will come and find us
Todays scripture is telling me that we all are sinners and God forgives if you repent and once you do and arre forgiven it feels amazing and you want to have a party or tell your friends just like the examples Christ gave in the Scripture. God loves us and he is the only thing we truly need.
I can use this in my life by including everyone and loving them like God loves everyone. I should include God in my everyday life and pray to him every day. I should also include everyone and make them feel loved just like how God wants us to feel every day.
God cares about each of us individually and in different ways like the 1 sheep that He lost. He will go all over the universe just to find one of us because we are all special and cared for by God.
We need to take the road less traveled. If we take the road that is traveled most, we are probably more likely to sin. The road less traveled will make you feel more accomplished and joyful about life.
Jesus is trying to say that if a friend loses something then help them like they would help you
The scripture is telling us if we get lost, we can always find a way back to God, like how we sin every day and then go to confession. It is also telling us that God would always welcome us and forgive us. We should apply that to our life and to forgive and love everything surrounding us. 🙂
it means to me that God put us on 2 journeys one for finding him and one for living and like sheep right now where scavenging looking for our Shepard that is God and dream wold in heaven
The scripture is saying that if you do not believe in Jesus or does believe in Jeus but chooses to not serve God or trust in him, when he chooses to repent God will celebrate more over that than he would over 200 people that have believed in God their whole life. Because when someone who does not believe in God or trust in him when they repent and say God i believe and i love you that is mor precious than someone who has believed their whole life and repents everyday prays a rosary everyday. Because this is saying God i know that i have not been such a good person but i trust that you still love me and will forgive me no matter what because i am your child.
When we see someone we are so quick to judge, we think about how we are so much better or popular. Jesus was the king of kings and yet he doesn’t care if you look different or not good at sports He loves you for who you are. That is why it’s so amazing that he still loves those who sin and he will always forgive you if you want to be forgiven. This also means we should welcome those who mabye dont have a lot of friedns because in God’s eyes we are all created equal.
This scripture is telling me that we sin and we need to repent and there will be joy in the heavens.
I can apply this scripture to my life by knowing that God is trying to find you wherver you go, even if you are doing evil he will leave the good and search for you. That is why Jesus came down to Earth, because he wanted to help the sinners.
To me the scripture is saying that if one person falls from the faith then He will go and bring the person back into the faith just like the shepard and the sheep and same thing with the woman and her coins.
To me this gospel is telling me to be more like christ. Jesus ate and drank form the sinners. I can be more like this by not judging people in my head.
This is a very powerful reading. The Gospel is talking about how God will do everything he can to get you to heaven. You could interpret is saying that no matter what you do you are going to heaven or that you have to build a close relationship with God so you can understand and listen to the ways that God is calling you back to him. The second way is the correct way to look at it though because God will do everything he can to get you to heaven but, you have to have a good relationship with him first so that you can hear what he is saying that will get you to heaven. My conclusion is that no matter what you do the best way to grow in virtue and eventually get to heaven is by praying and developing a strong relationship with God.
Jesus is telling us today that he remembers every single one of us. He never wants us to fall away from the church. He tells us today that he will always come and find us like the lost sheep no matter what. I can apply this to my life by remembering that Jesus cares for me and to keep doing the faith to get to heaven.
What I think today’s scripture is trying to tell me is that God made us all perfectly and that we are all equally as important. Nobody is more important than someone else, and God cares for every single one of us individually. God welcomes us each individually with open arms, no matter what we have done. He calls us back to Him and forgives us for our mistakes. He would leave his 99 just to have us be with Him.
In this Gospel, Jesus sends a message to us through 2 parables. The first parable is the one that speaks to me the most today. He says that He would leave His 99 sheep just to go after the 1 that has left. That means that He would leave everything behind, just to come and look for you! Jesus says, “I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.” There will be more joy in Heaven over ONE sinner who repents than over NINETY-NINE people who are righteous. God wants to work in your brokenness. He doesn’t want you to change who you are. He loves you so much that He would die in an exruciating way millions of times again, just to save you, because you are so very precious to Him. This is one of my favorite poems that really does show you how much Jesus loves you:
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”
He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

I can apply this to my life by not blaming the people that hurt me instead I can listen to what they have to say instead of put everything on them.
Jesus allows and welcomes all, even sinners those who do not believe in jesus do not think sinners should be allowed to eat with jesus. becasue god loves all of us. god is special how he will leave all for one lost and bring them back to the group.
He will go to find those who are lost to bring them back and rejoice. Loving is He because of this, then, this is what we shall live by.
I can apply this to my life through Christ because I know that His love is the most precious thing on the planet. I need to fall back on Him any time I’m going through something. He knows when I’m going through something and knows how to help in every way.
This gospel is telling me to be more like Christ. I can apply this to my life bu judging people less.
I feel Like we are all lost sheep and no one knows the way home but Jesus will find us and protect us until we find our way home. when I hear this scripture I think of purgatory because we find our way like repenting.
This is a very powerful reading today, it talks about the lost sheep and the woman who lost her coin. When we lose something we try to look for it just the way God would try to find us when we have sin. God will never give up to find us even if we get lost He will always come running to try to get us back. He will always come after us even if only one of us gets lost. That’s how much he loves us, that show’s how much he cares about us.
What I think that God is saying here is that if you sin or do anything bad he still loves you no matter what and wants you to do better and succed in life.
I think this is trying to tell us to love the sinners just like we love ourselves. And to be kind and convert them from their ways. We should search for him just like he searches for us.
This scripture is telling me that even if we get lost Jesus will still come and try to come find us because he loves us with a passion.
I think this means that God will always love us and help us when we are in need of his grace and holiness. We are all created by him and he loves us all. He will find us even if we are lost and we will find our way back to him, just like the shepherd and his one lost sheep.
I think Jesus is telling us today is that if you have 99 sheep and one is gone he is just as important as every other sheep. Or like in the moral of the story that if 99 people make into heven but didn’t need repentece it is just as joyful as some making it to Heaven when they did need repentence. So this means tom is that Jesus wants us to repent if we are that lost sheep for the reward will be great.
#Christian Yolo 🙂
In this Gospel God is saying that we are his sheep and he will love us no matter how far we wander or how bad we are. He will love us no matter what we say and do.
This tells us that God loves us and we are his joy in heaven. even though God has billions of souls to care for he loves us and will call us each by name. and it shows us that we should love everyone no matter how many people there are
I beileve that Jesus is saying he will not stop untill he finds us. He is saying that no matter how many people follow him, how many people worship him, he will come and he will not stop untill he brings you home. He will not stop untill he finds you and when he does he will rejoice because he has brought his child home. He is rejoicing because he has found his child and is telling all to rejoice because what was once lost has been found
I think that through this gospel passage, Jesus is trying to tell me that it is okay to be different, it is okay to feel like you don’t fit in, because you’re not meant to fit in. God did not put us in this world to be like everybody else. We are our own unique self, person, and human being. God will love us just the way we are, and He wants us to love ourself, too! Not compare ourselves to our peers, people online, or even to our own brothers and sisters. God will always love and always forgive us, no matter what we think of ourselves, what we look like, or what we do. There will always be a special place for us in Jesus’ heart, so we should have a very special place for God in our hearts.
Today scripture about is not blaming people so i can become a better person
To me this gosepel means that he will always remember us. I say this because it said that he would leave 99 sheep behind to go find the 1 that went away. That part really stuck out to me bacause if I left because I was haveing a bad day Jesus would come after me, cheer me up and bring me bad with the rest. To me just hearing someone do that makes my day, it makes my day because I would not do that, if I saw someone haveing a bad day then I would just ask then if they are ok and then move on with my life. I would not leave all of my friends behind to just go cheer that one person up. I know that sounds really mean but I bet a lot of us would do the same thing. I need to thin about what God would do and do it and that would make me closer to God and that would also just be a life changing thing. It would change my life because if I do something that God would do to me and then I retuern that favor by doing it to others then I am gradually becoming a saint. I doudt that I would ever be a saint but if I did that stuff I would just be a better person. We don’t need to act like saints to be a better person, but we need to ast like ourselves, that dosen’t mean we be ourselves by being mean but we be ourselves by bring out the good side in us instead of the mean side in us.
This really speaks to me because God loves every human being, good or bad. God isn’t that being who chooses one person over another. He loves us all equally, even when we think it isn’t true. He loves us, and we all love each other. We rejoice with one another when something is worth celebrating about, big or little. The way we make each other happy makes Him happy. When a sinner turns to God for help he is more than happy to do that. He says, “There will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents.”
Jesus hears the Pharisees talking about him and saying how wrong it is to invite in sinners and have a meal with them. Jesus’ reply is two well known parables. One about a lost sheep and one about a missing coin. He asks who wouldn’t go after a single lost sheep, and who wouldn’t search for a single coin restlessly until locating it. After finding the sheep and the coin you go out and celebrate, just like how jesus leaves his faithful for one person’s repentance and celebrates once he brings you back to him. Every time we sin we get farther and farther from God. Every time we go to confession or receive communion we get closer and closer to him. Jesus will never give up on bringing us back home to him. He pursues after you and takes the veil of your eyes. God will never force us to love and worship him. If he wanted that he would have not given us free will. We would be wandering the Earth like robots doing his biding. “You can’t love what you don’t know.” “Love requires a response.” These are two things Mr. Geortz says almost every day to us.
that we are all special in our own ways and that we shoulnt try to act like someone that we arnt so we should be ourselfs and no one else
God is telling me today that i should forgive every sinner and welcome them into my home and hang out with them because they are a sinner just like me. We will always make mistakes no matter how hard we try and when we make those mistakes we need to be able to forgive those who have made these mistakes.
god is saying that no matter what we do hell always love us no matter what happens and its also saying that people that love jesus will have eternal life
Today jesus is telling me that even though we hurt him at times he will still forgive us, jesus loves us at all times and we shoud love him to we need to work on not hurting him just because he frogives us doesnt mean that we should keep doing it.
This passage is saying that God is caring. That he cares for every person on this planet. No matter what you do no matter how bad you behave he will always love you.
In this God is basically saying no matter how much we have sinned or done bad things that do not lead us closer to God is that he still loves us more than we know.No matter how much we say or do terrible things God still loves us the same.In the scripture the pharises and scribes were all complaining that God was letting them be with them to eat because he still loved them no matter what they did.Jesus loves us so much and he died on the cross for us.we need to pray or talk to him everyday and thank him for the wonderful life he has given us and all the blessings in our life.
i can apply this to my life by always trusting god and when i sin just know that jesus will never stop looking for me so i can be In Union with god
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that Every single one of us in this school matters, and everyone in the world matters. If 1 person in 3rd or 5th or 1st Grade is fealing bad, usually their classmates help them, and make them feal Joyful. It doesn’t usually take that much to make someone happy but sometimes someone has more pain at home or with their friends more than others. So every single person Feels Comfortable and like they belong. God cares about every single one of us, and we should too!
If you ask me then i should probalbly start trying to forgive people for what i did. I also should probably try to rejoice for what all other people.
I think this gospel is trying to tell me that no matter how terrible we are or the things we’ve done Jesus will always love us and be there for us. He will always look for us and guide us if we are lost in sin. Or help us through hard times. And He will always want a relationship with us.
Today’s Gospel is telling me that I need to put my whole heart it something that I value. If cnn’t fully commit to something if I don’t have any value in it. When you are commited to something, then if something bad happens, you cannot help but do everything you can to right that wrong. And when you finally do, it’s the best feeling in the world.
I love this gospel because it tells me that I am significant to God and that he will never stop looking for me no matter what and I am unique and special. I love the song that is based on this passage and it is probably my favorite Christian song. I love how this passage tells us that Jesus’s arms are always open for us and he ALWAYS wants us to come back to him like his lost sheep.
“THIS MAN WELCOMES SINNERS AND EATS WITH THEM.” To me this is saying that we judge people so quickly, and talk about people behind their back so often, and we need to just realize that our judgement isn’t needed anywhere. God’s judgement is the only one that matters. You’re meant to be welcoming and caring to people even if you don’t think they are as good as you, or if you think something they do is wrong. Everyone is equal in God’s eyes, and like I just said, God’s opinion is the only one that matters. We should include everyone in everything we do. Especially those we think are going through a hard time.
We will never get to Heaven if we aren’t sorry for our sins and God wants us to get to Heaven. Admiting your sins, even to yourself, and repenting is hard so God is very happy every time you do it. And every time you do it you get one step closer to Heaven. So basically being sorry for the bad things you did gets you eternal happiness.
Today the scripture is telling us that God and his sheep will love us even though we are sinner and we don’t always do the right thing he will love us no matter what.
The Scripture today is telling me that I need to reacognize when I sin, and think about why I am doing it, and if I should follow through with doing it(which is never)
The scripture today is soemthing to ponder about. There is a deep meaning in the parable. If there are 100 rightous people, and 1 of them becaomes a sinner, then wouldn’t Jesus come after you and try to get you to come back to Him. If we repent and allow ourselves to be found, then heaven will rejoice. God will rejoice. He wants us to allow him to bring us closer. If we don’t allow ourselves to be found, then God will let it go and pray for us. Even if we rebuke Him, even if we say no, He won’t stop loving and caring for you. We just have to admit to our mistakes and let God help. We just have to come back rejoin the other 99 whom Jesus would leave to find us, the sinners.
I think this scripture really told me that no matter what I do Jesus will always love me. Even when we sin, although it is wrong, God will still love us and never will stop loving us.
God loves us so much individually that he is willing to leave 99 people and help us, the lost one, get back on track with the 99 people.
I can apply this to my life but remembering that God will always we waiting for me with open arms when I turn against him. If I’m the one lost sheep he would go looking for me, to bring me back to him.
We must search very carefully for Jesus and holiness. We can’t ever give up, so we can be with Him for eternity.
What I am getting from this scripture is that we won’t go to Heaven if we don’t feel sorry.
This means to me that Jesus let the sinners of the world even the worst of the sinners to eat with him and welcomed them
