Prayer Prompt before reading JN 3:1-8: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE” JN 3:31-36

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus in the middle of the night telling him who He is. Nicodemus is a high ranking Jew and one who actually believes Jesus could be the Messiah the Jews have been waiting for. Jesus continues to teach us that He is God and the Father has given Him everything.

He also says very strong words about the afterlife. We have to believe in the Son to enter eternal life. Afterlife is a radical belief. It is not something easy to believe in since all we know is our earthly life, our physical world. Jesus asks us to trust in Him and be not afraid. He is here to teach us about our heavenly home.

It might be important to read a book on near death experiences (NDE) or near death experiences of the blind. These are cases when people are dead/unconscious for a few minutes, see a light, dead relatives, or themselves and the doctors/nurses working on them. It is proof consciousness exists outside the body or after life. Most importantly, Jesus proves this to us with the resurrection of His body.

The gospels are not a myth or an entertaining fantasy novel. Jesus rose from the dead. This changes everything and should change the way we live each day for this life in preparation for the next. It means this world is not all there is. It changes the way we live our life to prepare for the eternal world with God in all of his glory, no pain, suffering, sin, death, and brokenness.

“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” Jn 3:31-36

We have a Father in heaven who radically loves us and His one greatest desire is for His children to be back with Him. Choose wisely, belief begins in your heart and Christ reveals that we must believe in Him to enter eternal salvation. Christianity is the only religion that matures. It has a past, present, and future. Learn more about Jesus, pray, and share this Good News with others. He is alive, be present to Him, and spend time with Him!

Be a servant, be a saint today!

This stuck out to me because it’s true. Our Father does love us. He always will love us, and he will never stop loving us. Loving is what he does and he won’t stop doing that at any giving point in your life. He loves you, he loves your neighbor, he loves every single person on this lovely earth. God is our God, love him as he loves you.

Nicodemus is one of the most high-ranking Jews there is to offer, yet he believes that Jesus might be the Messiah, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. Jesus is more than happy to answer, and He tells Nicodemus the truth about Himself. Jesus knows that we have questions about what is to come, and He wants us to know the truth. This is why he gives us near death experiences, so that we may have proof about what is to come. He loves us in this way, and is not afraid to show us what is waiting for us in heaven.

I feel like the main message about the gospel today is God is above all. In all things he is the most high, the most powerful. This is really a beautiful thing and a blessing to have a Lord who loves us and cares for us more than we can imagine. He will always want what is best for us and always show us our path and it is our job to put him first and follow his way. The Lord will never take us down the wrong path, even if we feel like it is, he is leading us to him, to spend a life of joy and happiness eternally.

In today’s Gospel I think that John is trying to say that Jesus is above all and that he speaks of heavenly things. The line “But whoever disobeys the Son will not see life.” to me means that to get into heaven to experience eternal life we need to follow Jesus. Following Jesus is not easy but with God’s help it is doable. We should all be striving to meet God in heaven after we pass away.

Today Jesus talks about Himself and the afterlife. God tells us directly that He is the Son of God. Before He died and rose from the dead it might have been hard during that time to believe Him. Just like during that time it is still hard to believe in Him today. We blame Jesus sometimes for bad things happening to us. God has a plan for us through life and He knows what we are going to do. We need to follow Him and trust in his will so we can be with Him in Heaven.

He is alive be present with Him and spend time with Him. This stands out to me because it shows that God truly is present in the Mass and He truly is everywhere and always with us. No matter where we go God will always be with us and He will always love us just as much as He did before that is what makes God God, His love for us,

Today in the Gospel in the first line it talks about the one from above being above all but then just two lines later it talks about the one from heaven being above all. I can’t tell if these are contradicting like their is one above all and then their is one above the one above all, or if they’re the same person. In the middle of this there is the person of earthly things (Us as Humans). We are the lowest of the low. We can not work our way up to him or anything we are the lowest of the low because of our default to sin. Later in the Gospel it talks about the one who he sent can speak the word of God. So I think this relates to the start that the prophets are above other people but God is above all of the prophets and the normal people. Then he says that the eternal son as long as you follow his word will grant you eternal life. But those who do not listen to the son do not listen to me so they shall not stay with me.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life”. This part in the Gospel stuck out to me the most. We need to believe in Jesus and then we will have eternal life. This doesn’t just mean believing that He existed but also believing that He was the Son of God. And it means following His teachings and doing as we are taught by Him. We need to apply His teachings to every decision we make and every day we live.

Something that I got out of this was that we need to respect and try to be like Jesus. Like it says in the Gospel, many of us speak of only earthly things, therefore we are earthly, but we need to really understand what the purpose of our life is. It acts like a short little test before we are supposed to go to heaven, but many people mess up and do have to serve the punishment, so lets all try and do our purpose and get to heaven.

In today’s scripture it says “The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” this means that Those who believe in the Son receive eternal life, while those who disbelieve the Son will not see life and will face God’s wrath. This emphasizes that salvation is exclusively through faith in Jesus Christ.

“Whoever believes in me will have eternal life”. Some of might think this is scary, like we have to believe in him in order to have life. Like we have to put all of our might into believing in him. Well the Lord doesn’t want you to fear him, he wants you with him. That’s all he wants. But what does he mean by ” Whoever believes in me will have eternal life”. Well Jesus we know as the way, the truth, and THE LIFE. No one goes to the Father except through Him. He has been saying it this whole time, when we need the father, Jesus is the bridge to the Father. He is why we have pathway to Heaven. Because before when you died you just went to Hell, because there was no pathway to Heaven. So Jesus was there to make that path. Believing in Jesus is a Lifesaver, he is your seat belt on the car ride. He is there to have you. That’s all he wants. He wanted us to believe in the fact he is the Life, and he died and rose from the dead. When we believe in him, we will die, and HE will rise us from the dead. As he called Lazarus out from the dead. We are Lazarus, he believed in Him. Because he believed he had second life, because he believed he’s alive. If we believe we will be with the Father, Jesus will guide us there, on this path we walk with him today. AMEN

This changes the way we live out our lives to prepare with eternal glory with God in heaven. We know this because there is proof of Consciences after death, an example of this would be Jesus Christ’s resurrected body.

I like this Gospel because it talks about Jesus and us if we believe. I like the lines “He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.” I think its saying that if we believe his words and teachings then we trust God like we should. This Gospel can also prove how Jesus is almighty.

“Jesus rose from the dead.” Today God is telling me that He rose from the dead and yet some still don’t believe that He is God. He has done the most remarkable things any person has seen, and even did them in front of people for them to know He is God. Another thing is that we just have to believe. Some people don’t believe enough to find, and know Him. Others don’t try to even get close with Him and just care about what’s happening around them and they aren’t prepared for what happens after life. You have to put full effort if you want it, so don’t give up and keep our head up, then follow God for He is the way to good.

I think God is telling us today that he is the highest authority. He must obey him because he matters. If obeying a person leads us away from God and his will for us we must not obey, because God matters more. Through Jesus we can do great things we just have to believe! Also today on May Crowning we should think about how Mary helped the apostles during this time.

I think the phrase talking about heaven “It is not something easy to believe in since all we know is our earthly life, our physical world.” Shows that Jesus is telling us that he knows its difficult to believe in heaven, he knows its difficult to believe in God but we need to put our faith in him. The verse John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Shows how much God gave to us, he sent his own son to be sent to death by humanity and the least we can do is believe in what he preaches.

When we accept what Jesus has said that means we trust God. But if we say no to it or if we don’t believe what he has said, then we deem God untrustworthy. Why? Why do we ignore Him? Why do we hide from HIm? Why? That’s the question. It’s because we take Him for granted. We say “Hey I need your help.” and when He helps you, you ignore Him, you don’t thank Him, you don’t realize that that one thing he did for you, was His love for you. And how do you repay Him? With ignoring Him. NO! If we need God’s help we ask for it and if he helps you we say thank you, or we praise Him. But we don’t ignore Him. We don’t continue with our lives once He helped you. Or if he doesn’t help you because you haven’t followed him, and you get mad at God, it’s not His fault! It’s yours. So praise Him. Thank HIm. And follow Him. HE loves you, He wants you here with Him. So follow Him.

We do all these good deeds and follow the commandments to obtain heaven. One key idea is that if we are not giving God our time and our attention then we can’t get there. If we are giving things like electronics all of our time and not spending any with our Savior, then how are we to get back to Him?

This really stuck out to me because if Jesus hadn’t risen from the dead nothing would’ve changed. we wouldn’t be here sitting in religion class, going to mass, atrium. instead we would’ve been sinning and sinning and sinning all over again and not going to confession. but instead he did raise from the dead so we can go to mass, confession, atrium, religion class, and more. we wont be sinning as much as we would’ve if he didn’t raise from the dead. we would’ve also been suffering but were not, we are living in peace and Glory with God!

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life” Belief in God is the most important thing we can do with our lives. Other sins are less serious, but if you don’t believe God is real and the person keeps on denying him, it seems like one of the worst sins. We need to help other people find God. Give others a chance to become united with God. Evangelize, repent, and pray.

But we need to let go of our plans and listen to the will of the Father, and make our plans into his plans so we can meet him in heaven. I think that heaven will be a joyful place. I think the gospel is trying to tell us is that Jesus did what he did for us. We had multiple people that wrote it down when he was alive. People saw what he did, people saw why he did it. Jesus saved us from the devil and he protected us. People witnessed the actions that Jesus did, the people he saved. He gave his life to protect us and to help us get to heaven. Let’s not let that go in vain.

From today’s Gospel, I liked the line “He does not ration his gift of the Spirit,” because I feel like that reflects Christ really well in his generosity. He is very giving and is always giving even when we don’t realize it. And the fact that he doesn’t ration a single bit of his gift of the spirit means that he out pours every ounce of love and mercy and every good thing that he wills onto us. I love thinking about that.m

I think Heaven will be perfect. More beautiful than we can ever imagine. I think I kind of imagine it like the Garden of Eden, a place where creation and creatures meet in a perfect and beautiful balance. But really I just imagine that it will feel like home because Jesus is there.

“Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’” Jesus doesn’t mean we literally need to be reborn as Niccodemus suggests, we need to be spiritually reborn or baptised. This rebirth comes from God, as Jesus says “What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.” So we can only be spiritually reborn by God.

As it says in the scripture that “whoever disobeys the son will not see life,” we have to obey him and actually have a relationship with him to get in heaven. As a Christian we should always remember that being Christian is not just some kind of name tag for us but it shows that we have a relationship with Jesus that we have to cherish.

When we think of Jesus most think a big figure in the sky. But Jesus does not want to be seen as that. He can in a manger to be humble. In this Gospel, God tells Nicodemus and us a powerful message. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him,” He says. What does this mean? Simply, we must believe in God and the Son and the Holy Spirit. We must believe that Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, died on that cross so that he can rise again with his own power and open Heaven for us! We must not say that we believe in God, but act like we believe in God. We fear Hell, yet we sin and risk it. We must be more open to God’s call so that we can enter Heaven when our earthly life is over. We must believe and trust God that once we die, God will bring our soul and body together into our spiritual form in Heaven, which is a mirror of Earth. Heaven is paradise, so let us be willing to reach paradise through our actions, thoughts, and words in the name of God.
