“ASK THE MASTER OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST.” LK 10:1-12
Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter, first say,
‘Peace to this household.’
If a peaceful person lives there,
your peace will rest on him;
but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment.
Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them,
‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’
Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you,
go out into the streets and say,
‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet,
even that we shake off against you.’
Yet know this: the Kingdom of God is at hand.
I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.” Lk 10:1-12
Today, Jesus is asking us to pray for our Pope, bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and catechists (don’t forget this includes parents the first educator of God to their children). He is asking us to ask God (the master of the harvest) to send laborers for the harvest.
If we do not have priests, we cannot get to heaven, plain and simple (There are obvious exceptions to this, I am just trying to make the point that priests are necessary for the salvation of souls in the Father’s plan of salvation of humanity). We cannot be baptized to have our original sin taken away, we cannot receive the Catholic ER (Eucharist and Reconciliation) when we fail to keep the commandments. We cannot be consecrated in our vocations of priesthood and marriage or given our last rites before death.
We are so blessed in our diocese of Wichita with many vocations, but we can always have more. Many dioceses are suffering in the U.S. and priests are few with many pilgrims to serve. These men and women “carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” and stay faithful to Christ their whole life. What a great model of love for us! Some spend their whole life in a convent or monastery praying for us! Amazing!
Second, Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. Keep living and teaching Jesus, it brings persecution and joy, the reward is eternal life!
Today’s challenge: Pray for our Pope, bishop, priests, seminarians, and religious!
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few” We need to spread the gospel to those because its so great but we have few who do it. preach the gospel where ever you can!
Today we learn we need to pray and be thankful for everyone we have. We couldnt live on our own without everyone in the world who provides for everyone. We need to learn how worthy everyone is because we are all children of God. You may think you are different then the person next to you because your better then them but thats false we are all equal in Gods eyes.
Today’s scripture tells me that we all need to go out and share God’s word. The disciples go out to preach to other cities and towns. God wants us to bring others to the faith and love that he shares. He shows us love and compassion and we need to share that with others to show them the way to God.
we need to pray for our leaders of the church because if we didn’t we wouldn’t be where we are today or in the future.
we should also be helping each other out and helping them to get to mass or just pray with them or for them.
‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet,
even that we shake off against you.’ This stuck out to me because I think this is saying that the dust is like God and he will cling to us no matter what and if we shake him off at first, He will always find a way to come back to us. God will never truly leave us no matter how hard you try to get rid of him.
This Gospel is saying that some people will take in the Word of God and some won’t. Jesus wants us to take in the Gospel and tell others about it. He doesn’t want us to hear it and then go about our day acting like we aren’t Catholic and we didn’t just read the Gospel.
We need people to teach us about God, we need priests, popes, bishops, and our parents to teach us how to know, love, and serve God. And so many people are falling away from the church because their parents weren’t good at explaining their religioin, or maybe just not being motavated to practice their religion, which can cause a chain reaction to their grandkids, great-grandkids, or even those around them.
Today we are told that we cannot reach heaven without our Priests and Bishops and Pope. Without them we couldn’t remove our original sin without them we would know the way to Heaven. They are the reason on earth that we can make it to Heaven.
Spread the word of God. You don’t need to be perfect to spread the good news. Our actions and our words is how people look at us if we act badly people aren’t gonna be like “I wanna be a catholic and follow God.” The things we do and say is how people look and think about us. So think before you act or speak if it will effect them in a positive or negative way.
We need people to teach us about God, we need priests, popes, bishops, and our parents to teach us how to know, love, and serve God. And so many people are falling away from the church because their parents weren’t good at explaining their religioin, or maybe just not being motavated to practice their religion, which can cause a chain reaction to their grandkids, great-grandkids, or even all those around them.
There is an encouragement here from Jesus to place trust only in him as we work for the kingdom of God. We are to carry little for the journey. Often what we do in faith and love seems to bear little fruit. Offered to the work of Jesus in the world, we never know when it may bear fruit.
I think Jesus is asking us for help. Not to help him, but help others. When he says,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”
Jesus tells them to ask to send out laborers for the harvest to help them harvest. So I think Jesus is trying to tell us to help someone today and help them get closer to Him.
Jesus is instructing His disciples. What stuck out to me was that if we didn’t have priests we couldn’t get to heaven. We wouldn’t be able to receive the Eucharist or get Reconciliation. Priests and Religious are great models for us because they stay faithful to Christ. We need to spread God’s word. Sometimes it won’t work but we must keep on trying because if it does, the rewards will be great. If we do this we will receive the greatest reward: ETERNAL LIFE. It is the best gift we can receive. If you could get anything you want by doing a certain task, would you do that task? Yes, you should because it has a great reward, so we must share Jesus’s love with others because it has the greatest reward.
What the Gospel is saying is that if we go to serve another person, we should serve without complaining and use what is provided instead of asking for more.
what I got from today’s gospel is that God is looking for people who will accept him let him live in their house ( our bodies ) feed him and the people who do not welcome him into their town or into their house he says that the dust will cling to you or something on those lines and to me that means that sin will stay with you you are not letting him in to help you get ride of it you are dining his love and care for you
This reflection made me realize, everything that I have: Priests to baptize me, to give me communion, and to let me share my sins with them through confession/reconciliation. If we didn’t have Priests, non of that would be possible. This passage made me realize everything that I have.
“I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.” Pretty sure Sodom was decimated. Sodom and Gamorrah, I think, were two cities that were so engraved in sin and rejected the word of God so harshly that God eventually sent down fire upon them. This should stick with us because we need to know that God is all powerful. He can literally do a Thanos, and just snap his fingers together and everything in existence would just disappear. But! We shouldn’t take this to mean that God just wants to cause destruction and pain, no He is a God of Justice! Sodom and Gamorahh got what they got, because they did not turn away from sin and they rejected God. Fire rained down from heaven because they CHOSE to be punished, instead of fixing their mistakes. We need to learn from this and recognize that, though Jesus is a God of mercy, that doesn’t mean that he will just forgive everything anyone has done wrong. We have to make a conscious effort to choose God over sin each and every time a temptation surfaces. We need to recognize that God will send us to hell, but only if WE CHOOSE that path. So make sure that you’re always striving to choose God over sin, and you will choose the straight and narrow path.
We should be grateful for the priests and other religious people around us because without priests, we are not able to make it to heaven. We wouldn’t be able to receive the Eucharist.
In this scripture, Jesus is telling us to pray for the Pope, Bishops, Priests, and religious brothers and sisters.
We should be praying for them every single day and hope nothing bad happens to them because they bless, love and care about all of us.
Jesus is calling us into Heaven which is where the Church is, which means that we should always go to church and praise God for everything he’s done for us.
We need to spread the gospel, once we spread the gospel it is eternal life. The scripture said that we need to be thankful for everything that people have done for us. This stuck to me because this is what I need to work on in my life.
‘Peace to this household.’If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him;but if not, it will return to you. This is the scripture reflection that i chose because God wants us to choose peace even if the people we talk to are not respectful or peaceful you still have to have peace
By saying ” The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few” Jesus is telling us that while the kingdom of God is great there are many that don’t follow it.
I think God is trying to tell us to spread the christan word and be peacful.
Something that stuck out to me was that we should pray for our priests and holy brothers and sisters a lot more than we do. We really take them for granted and to don´t appreciate how much they do for us, because they help us get to heaven. It said in the gospel that if we did not have our priests and nuns and people like that then we could not get to heaven.
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few”. To me this is saying that few people are actually preaching the gospel and we need to continue so we can all be abundant in our faith.
“The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.” This sticks out to me because it’s telling you that when we are doubtful of the Lord we try to shake Him off, but no matter what Emmanuel (God is with us).
Jesus is telling us today that we must give up some of our wants in order to be closer with him in spirit and the father just as he gave up his life for us so we can give up something in our daily lives. He tells the disciples to go to peoples doors and help them while he just told them to get rid of everything that they previously had. Just like we should go and help people who are less fortunate then us no matter what they did or how they sinned. My favorite quote from today’s gospel is “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.”
“The Kingdom of God is at hand for you. When the disciples said this to someone I think they are meaning that the person has a good chance of going to heaven, if they keep on acting similar to how they were acting at that moment.
We need deacons, priests, bishops, and popes to teach us about God. without them we would be lost. When a priest, deacon, bishop or pope speaks to us we need to listen and live to praise God. They are trying to teach us more about God so that we can know and love him more.
´ ´ Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you ´ ´ I think what Jesus means is that we should be grateful for what we have. I think that because he says eat and drink what is offered for you for the laborer needs his payment and that means to eat and drink what you have because the laborer worked hard for it like how our parents work hard to get us food and drink.
When you ask the king of anything he will give you more than you need since he is plentiful.
God is looking for a way to tell us stuff and talk to us and in our homes.Without Priest’s we could not get to Heaven We are lucky to have a lot of Priest in our diocase.Jesus wants us to pray for the Priest’s and the Sister’s.
“The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.” This means that at any given time God can come. This also means that we can be at peace and be in Heaven right here on earth through the Sacraments and Mass. We need priests and religious leaders to help us get to Heaven. We would not be able to receive Sacraments without them. Therefore, we need to pray for the religious leaders that they may not fall away from this vocation that God has given them.
We should pray for priests nuns popes bishops because it is not easy following God almost every day and they have to train for a long time to become a priest yet people still do it.
I think it is trying to tell us to be grateful for what we have. We need to be grateful for our priests because without them we would not be able to reach heaven.
Today I think Jesus is trying to tell us to be bold and spread the word of God when he says:
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals. By leaving material/ worldly things like money or shoes behind, we can focus on (and acknowledge ) the fact that heaven – getting to meet and know Jesus is our ultimate goal.
We should pray for those who help us get to heaven and those who make it possible like the pope, bishops, priests, seminarians, etc. In the gospel, some will accept God’s message and others will refuse to so when that happens, we need to keep spreading the message anyway so that those who will accept it will be helped and go to heaven.
I think the gospel is trying to tell us that some people will take the word of God and share it with everyone. Others will take it but not share it. Some wont accept it at all. We need to hear it and tell other people about it, acting in the way of the Lord.
´ ´ Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you ´ ´ I think what Jesus means is that we should be grateful for what we have. I think that because he says eat and drink what is offered for you for the laborer needs his payment and I that means to eat and drink what you have because the laborer worked hard for it like how our parents work hard to get us food and drink.
Whenever we come along people being kind or sharing their goods, we should say that peace is with them because they are doing the will of God. If someone does not, we should pray for their souls and pray that they see the light of God.
Scripture says that we need to go out and preach Gods word and that the disciples went all the way out to different countries and preached the gospel that is what the scripture is telling me
I have learned that we have to accept God otherwise we cannot talk to him.
What Jesus is saying is that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and we can’t throw it away. But we need to remember that he wants us with no money or anything like St. Francis, because he knew it meant nothing to him and the Father.
Jesus tells “the master of the harvest” (God) to send out “laborers” or people who listen to and preach God’s word. Pay attention and listen to him! For all you know, you might be one of the laborers.
“Go on your way” I think that means that you should go on your and follow the path of God.
to days gospel is about how we need bishops priests and popes to save us from original sin and preach the gospel
I think it is telling us we need to be grateful for our priest. We need to not take them for granted.
We are being told to preach the gospel and be grateful for what is given to us. We should treat others with respect and pray for everyone even the people we hate.
Jesus sends people to bless other and let them know God is with them. So if they do not do this they come back and do not have fun. so the lesson is always spread the gospel because if you don’t you never know where you will end up.
If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him;but if not, it will return to you. This is like trust but in a spiritual form. That is like letting someone borrow something and you don’t want it then you let them keep it. If you like it though then you will want it back.
Jesus is trying to tell us to become Franciscans, priests, Bishops, and Popes. Take care of the sick, and the weak.
I think that he is saying that you don’t get too chose what or even how much you get God will give the same amount that he thinks is nessisarie for you. The more you give the more you recieve, God gives more to the people that worship him and are kind and loving to other people.
I think the scripture is telling us that we need to go out and spread the word of God’s greatness.
Whenever you ask of something of God, if it is a need he will gladly give it to you because he is loving and forgiving and will never leave you. You have to believe that God is and will always take care and be there for you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you. for the laborer deserves his paymet. Do not move from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set for you.´΅I think was trying to say that we need to be Greatful for what we have and just because you may not like what you are living with. You always need to be grate ful cause there are more people who have less than you. When Jesus said ´Éat what is set for you for the laborer deserves his payment. Like saying that we need to be greatful for our parents feeing us and giving us food and drink.
What sticks out to me is that God is calling out 72 desiples including you and he wants you to give people peace and dont get any feedback just ignore it and go on giving peace to people.
I think Jesus is telling us that we should have faith, even when others don’t, and we should help Him proclaim. ” Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened.” We should believe no matter what happens, and try to get others to believe, but know that some will, and some won’t. God wants us to go out and proclaim!
Often materialistic things get in the way of having a relationship with Christ. We should learn to give up worldly goods so we can therefore give our lives to him. He gave his life for each and every one of us so why shouldn’t we do the same? We were put into this life for the sole purpose of living for Christ. In the long run the things we have here on earth are just things and Christ is much more important than all of that.
Jesus is telling us that the kingdom of God is great but people are not following Him. We must follow Jesus because he has given us these great things and people are not thankful for them.
Without Priests we cannot get to heaven, because they are the disciples of Jesus they help spread the word of God. If it were not for them God would be known to the world.
Without Priests we cannot get to heaven, because they are the disciples of Jesus they help spread the word of God. If it were not for them God would not be known to the world.
we should pray for those who help us to get to heaven, when you as the king of anything hi will give you more than you need since he is plentiful.
This is telling us that we must help each other to get into heaven, or none of us will make it there.
We need priest, popes, bishops, and you parents to help you learn how to serve God. How to love him and how to teach others about him. We need other people to help up just like the way we all need Jesus.
“Cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’” At this point, there were many heathens that did not believe that God existed. Jesus and his disciples spread the word of God without hesitation, but we are embarassed at the thought of giving public speakings. We need not be afraid, but be loyal to the true cause of us all.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you,
This line, and in fact the whole gospel is like St. Francis. he lived off of what people gave him and lived as a perfect example for us.
if it wasn’t for priests, bishops, and the pope we wouldn’t really have any advice on what to do. We always need to pray for them because their job is so stressful so we always need to keep them in our prayers,
We should pray for all those who have done great things for us. Priests, bishops, our parents, they have all done wonderful things for us to bring us closer to God. We should return that favor by praying for them.
When Jesus said to the people following him to go and knock on a random person’s door, would you have done it? Knowing that the person of the house could be nice or mean. Jesus today shows us that he is with us through the bad times. As he tells us that when we find someone who is not nice he will be with us. He will never leave us.
What God is trying to say is that we need to go to towns to preach the good news and accept anyone who is trying to join the Faith. We should go to other people of different kind and see if anyone wants to join the Faith because anyone with any race could join Jesus in the Kingdom of Heaven.
From this scripture I realized how important priest, bishops, and the pope are. God sends holy people like them to save us. Without them we wouldn’t be able to live eternal life in heaven with Jesus. He lets them priest preach his word so we can make it to heaven.
Jesus is basically saying or at least how I took it is each and every one of you actions has consequences, to get closer to heaven or to get closer to hell, and so if you do something that is dedicated towards Jesus Christ then you will receive an even better gift, Heaven.
When Jesus said to the people following him to go and knock on a random person’s door, would you have done it? Knowing that the person of the house could be nice or mean. Jesus today shows us that he is with us through the bad times. As he tells us that when we find someone who is not nice he will be with us. He will not leave us.
They mention Sodom and Sodom was destroyed because they did not listen, It was literally wiped from the face of the earth because God did not like that they did not listen to him he warned them and they didnt listen so he destroyed Sodom we should learn from this and learn to listen for God.
“behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” Jesus is telling us that we need to trust in Him. He wants us to believe that even if we are sent out without money or weapons, as long as we believe in Him, He will protect us. Jesus told His disciples that if they are welcomed into the homes of the towns people, to eat what is laid out for them and to not complain. He told them to heal the sick and to be grateful.
“The Kingdom of God is at hand.” God is always with us. We don’t stand alone for God will stand with us. We are so greatly loved and protected. If you repent your sins and follow the ten commandments you will someday be in Heaven next to Jesus and Mary. God loves us and never stops forgiving us.
Some people will accept God and other people wont accept him. We need to spread the word of God and be proud about it not trying to hide it. The reward to living a life with God in it and truly believing in him is ETERNAL LIFE with him.
Today Jesus tells us that we should be accepted to groups or “towns” that accept us and don’t go into groups that don’t accept us the way we are. because in trying to make everyone happy, no one will be happy not even you. we shouldn’t be hanging around the wrong people because they could drag us down and take us to hell with them and if we hang out with the right people, they will help us up and we will go to heaven.
In a way, this parable tells us to help each other. God put us together on earth so that we can work together. And maybe that doesn’t always work out, but that’s ok. He put us all here for a reason though, and that’s the simple truth. He made us so that we could all do something.
What I think God is telling me is that the people who are willing to leave everything behind are the people who will receive, the people who let strangers in are the people who will receive, and the people who listen to God will receive.
If we didn’t have priests we wouldn’t be able to be baptized or receive the Eucharist, we wouldn’t be able to reach heaven. We should pray for those who help us go to heaven.
We should pray for priests nuns popes bishops. It’s not easy following God almost every day and they have to train for a long time to become a priest yet people still do it.
“eat what is set before you”
some kids don’t even get to eat a meal once a day. be grateful for what you get when you get it. Because you never know you could go homeless the next day and you will be like some of those kids
today in the gospel what it says is that we should speak the word of God to whoever wants to hear so that we can help save as many people as we can to get into Heaven.
In this scripture reflection I learned that we must be thankful for what we recieve no matter the price or size.
this scripture is about trusting God. Part of it that stuck out to me was “Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.” this stuck out to me because it is saying to give yourself up to God and how you need to trust him.
I feel like sometimes we don’t respect what we have here, we have so many servers, so many priests, so many churches to go to. In some other parts of the world they don’t have that. Even right here in the United States, places like this aren’t usually everywhere, think about China, they don’t have religious freedom. We must respect what we have and not take advantage of it.
Jesus tells us today that we need to spread the Gospel. He also tells us that it is like sending lambs into a pack of wolves what He means by this is that many people are going to persecute you for our faith. We should stay faithful and know that God is most powerful and will always be there. We shouldn’t be afraid to spread the truth that God has given us.
Today the gospel tells me that we need to go and share God’s word with the world, like the disciples did. God wants us to bring others to His love he shares with us. He shows us love and compassion and we need to share that with others, and show them the way to God.
I feel like the gospel is telling me to share it with others when it says the harvest is abundant but few laborers because the kingdom of God needs people to spread it (laborers)
I feel like Jesus is saying that we need to live a life of poverty. Jesus could have had everything he wanted, cause he is God, bu he chose to have nothing, come from a carpenter and be born as a baby. Jesus calls us to live as he did. To give up these worldly possessions and focus on the heavenly ones. To walk as Christ walked and talk as Christ talked. We need to take up our crosses and follow the life of Jesus Christ.
I think Jesus is telling us to help, but not him, to help others. Just like when he says “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way”
“Go on your way.” This stuck out to me because why would we want to leave Jesus. He wants us to move on from what we were to who we are now. He wants us to stay with him but His heart says we need to find the way to Him instead of Him finding us. We need to go on our way towards God to get closer to him. We need to want Him and go on our way towards Him.
I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town. in the scriptures, anytown that didn’t accept the kingdom of God would be destroyed. How do i know? sodom was burnt to the ground because they didn’t believe in God and they were evil. If we were to obey God and follow our vocations, we will be happier with our life. before sodom was destroyed, God got all of the people who would follow him out of it. God was with those people when they needed him. He will be with us when we need Him the most.
what i got out of this was, we need to know jesus we need to be taught about him and than we need to tech other people. the word catholic means “universal” universal basicaly means world-wide with that being said we need to go out and preach and teach the word of god. jesus loves you
Jesus tells lots and lots of his followers to go off on a “journey” He puts them in pairs of 2 and says, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.”
He’s telling them that they are the few that listen to His words and follow Him. He is saying that they will be the ones who are saved, and so are we in the Eucharist. We must accept Jesus’ words, take up our cross and follow Him.
the people that Jesus sent out are like Saint Francis. they eat what is given to them, take care of the poor and wounded, and are Gods messengers. Yet another reason to act like SFA.
The scripture today is a perfect example of why we should trust God. In life, we will be put in situations where we arent confident, but God puts us in every situation for a reason. Whether you are scared, excited, or have neutral feelings about something, its Gods Plan.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that if we drop everything and follow him he will fill us with Joy. The joy that he gives us is the best thing we could ever ask for.
Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened.
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that to tell people about the Lord and to give up what I have and follow him
We should pray for the Bishops and Priests because we wouldnt get to heaven without them.
“If we do not have priests, we cannot get to heaven, plain and simple.” This is important because it speaks the truth.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us to be grateful for everything and everyone we have and to not take it for granted. We never know when that stuff or that person will be gone, so be grateful while it lasts.
I think that jesus is telling us to go out and spread the word of God to everyone. Today, people still spread the word of God and there are so many Catholics because, of that.
To me ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers means that we need to make more people christian and actually go to mass
What this scripture was telling me was that God is trying to speak to us through are prayer and when we are praying at Mass and to be grateful for the things we have in are life and not to take advantage of it.
Jesus is telling us that some people will do bad things but we are told to always forgive them because we are called to love everyone.
I think that what Jesus is telling us is that in this passage we are the sinners and Jesus is the ONE who can save us and bring us to eternal life through the gates of heaven and that is why Jesus gave himself up for us is because He loved us so much that he died for us and he wants us to be with him so he died for our sins so that we could be with him.
“Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. ” what i got from this was that is if we continue to follow Jesus, teach his word, and be loyal to him we will be greatly rewarded when our time comes
I think Jesus is telling us that we should pray for the priests, bishops, the pope, and the brothers in the Catholic Faith. Without them we would not be in Heaven because there would be no confession, they won’t teach us about God, and we won’t get baptized and confirmed. The quote that struck me is “ASK THE MASTER OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST.” God is always with us.
I think Jesus is telling us to be like grate full for what we have. I also think he wants us to like go out and spread the word of god like a wildfire.
Jesus is telling us that the kingdom of God is great but people are not following Jesus. We must follow Jesus because he has given us amazing things and other so not thank God enough to the point that they don’t believe in him.
I think Jesus is saying read the gospel and the bible and preach or just tell people about him because some people read it and just keep it to their selves. Talk about who followed him and who loved him.
It is telling us to follow the lord and preach to all who will listen for the lord is with thee let this be known. The lord is known no matter who he is he is with us in us and we are his temple.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us to be grateful because he said “Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you”
Jesus is asking us to pray for our parish leaders and to pray in general because we have sinned and we ask for forgiveness
I think God is trying to tell us that whenever someone is in need you can offer them something like they did with 72 of his disciples
What stands out to me “Peace to this household if a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him;but if not, it will return to you.”This sticks out to me beacuse Jesus is trying to help us but we dont listen.
God is telling us to spread the word of him. You don’t need to be a certain type of person to spread the good news. At the end it doesn’t matter if we were bullied, popular, quiet, athletic at the end it only matter if we spoke the word and if we were holy. We can only make people better by our actions like if we were rude to someone its gonna hurt them and its not going to make them a better person, but if we are kind to people its gonna make them happy and then they are going to become a better person.
This tells me not to take our Priests or God for advantage. Our priests baptize us, preach to us, and give us the Body of Christ. Without them, who is there to preach?
spread the gospel and think about others. This gospel is telling us to think of others. Love your number as yourself. Greatest commandment. We should continue to pray for others
What God is trying to tell me is that we should help the people that are in need and spreed the word of christ and ato also always be thankful
