“I WILL NOT REJECT ANYONE WHO COMES TO ME.” JN 6:35-40
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Acts 8:1-8
Severe persecution, great joy. It is interesting how the two go together. The more the people who follow Jesus Christ are persecuted the more the Catholic Church grows. Think about the times we are embarrassed to wear our school uniform somewhere, pray in restaurants, or talk about Jesus to others who don’t go to our school.
It’s time to stop being lukewarm in our faith. We will be ridiculed by our friends and family even as well as others we don’t know. Jesus already told us this in the beatitudes, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for my sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”. Ask Him for greater fortitude, strength, and courage to stay faithful when persecuted. Come, Holy Spirit!
JN 6:35-40
“I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” What is God’s will for Jesus? He must offer His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the bread and wine at the Last Supper, go through a horrible passion, die, and resurrect in atonement for our sins. Then, He remains with us forever hidden behind a consecrated host. He is here in the confessional giving us counsel and absolving our sins. He is here when we gather to pray and read the Bible. He is here in the Holy Spirit guiding us and dwelling in us. He is here when we invite him into our suffering.
GOD LOVES US SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! JESUS LOVES US SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! God’s number one goal is to bring us back to Him in heaven and He has given us the greatest gift to help us, His Son Jesus in the Eucharist. God is madly in love with His creation, may we let Him love us!!!!!
What does this mean? Jesus wants more than anything to be with us always. He wants to be our friend. Friends love to spend time together. The greatest conversations happen at the supper table. God chose a supper table to bring all Christians together to be united to Him and be able to talk to Him about anything and offer up everything.
Today’s challenge: Allow Jesus to be your friend. Spend time with Him. Tell Him everything.
